My Insomnia has been a bitch this week lol so I edited more chapters. So yay for bonus uploads????
Sunni's body ached, coming down from the high of battle. She was anxious to see Bakugo and make sure he was okay. The rain was pouring down when they reached the hospital. They made their way inside to separate rooms to be treated. The nurse who was assigned to her rebandaged her cuts and put her wrist in a brace.
"Which room is Dynamite in," she stood making sure her brace was secure.
"He's at the end of the hall." The nurse turned to an empty room and blinked.
Sunni quickly walked to the end of the hallway and opened the door to his room. His red eyes snapped to her she walked up to the bed and grabbed his chart, "What's the damage?"
He scoffed, "Just some blood loss...they stitched me up."
"And a concussion," she eyed him, "your poor little brain got knocked pretty good then...cause you got a thick ass skull."
"Watch your mouth," he snapped at her.
She sat on his bed and smiled, "I have to talk shit now while you can't get out of bed."
His eyes moved to her wrist, "What about you?"
"Just a sprain," she held it up, "other than that just some scratches and bruises."
A commotion was heard in the hallway and Bakugo groaned, "Dammit all. Like I didn't already have a headache."
A woman burst into the room. She was like a copy and paste of Bakugo. Sunni stood and moved out of her way. She could tell she just wanted to put eyes on him. She let out a sigh of relief, "Dammit brat..."
He glared, "What do you want hag? You know the drill by now..."
"Yeah but that doesn't mean it gets any easier! If you weren't already in that bed I'd put you there," she crossed her arms. Sunni smiled, they were just alike. Bakugo glared at her. The woman spun around, "I'm so sorry dear," she smiled, "I'm Mitsuki, this hell spawns mother."
Sunni chuckled, "It's a pleasure. I'm Hallie, a classmate. We were partnered tonight."
"You're not hurt are you," the woman's voice was concerned, "Have they been good to you? If not I'll-"
"They've been nothing but kind." She held up her wrist, "I just have a small sprain. No biggie."
"Wait," Mitsuki looked the young girl over, "oh my god you're so pretty." She gushed making Sunni blush. "I'm so sorry you have to put up with-"
"Mom, leave her the hell alone. She's already had a rough night," Bakugo was so embarrassed.
Sunni picked up on his queues and walked up to the bed, "Your chart says you'll be here for twenty four hours. Do you want me to bring you anything?"
"No, maybe I'll get twenty four hours of peace without you here."
She smiled, "No, you'll miss me." She gave him a knowing look, "Behave." She gave a small bow to his mother, "It was nice to meet you. I hope we meet again sometime."
Mitsuki bowed with a smile, "I'm sure we will dear! Go get some rest!" Her eyes flicked to her son. He watched Hallie leave with softened eyes. She smirked, "You're girlfriend is pretty."
"She's not my girlfriend," he closed his eyes.
"Why not?"
"Just shut up about it. My heads killing me."
Mitsuki chuckled and turned out the light to his room, "Here, this will help."
Sunni made it back to the dorm as the sun came up. Aizawa told her she was done in the field for the week. She was ready to REST. A hot shower, food, and sleep.
She walked into the common room and froze. The entire class was waiting. Iida and Momo stood, the boy speaking, "Sunni, we are so incredibly glad to see you're safe. How is Bakugo?"
"He's pretty banged up, but, he'll be just fine," she smiled, "You all didn't have to wait up like this."
"No we did," Ochako stood, "You're a part of our class. We had to make sure you're okay."
Denki grinned, "We have to look after one another."
"That means the world to me," The red headed girl gently sat down.
Asui stood, "We made you some food."
"Yeah, you need to eat so your body can heal," Mina walked into the kitchen as well.
Todoroki handed her a hot cup of green tea, "This'll warm you up."
As she ate, they all talked about their shifts the day and night before. Comparing notes. Deku sat beside Sunni softly, "Are you feeling okay?"
She knew he meant about their piggyback technique, "Yeah. I don't feel anything off at all."
A smile of relief crept onto his features, "I'm glad to hear it. Endeavor was singing your praises after you left the hospital."
She rolled her eyes, "I'm sure he was."
Todoroki cleared his throat, standing in front of Sunni, "Um...I just wanted to thank you for saving my fathers life."
He kept his eyes to the ground. She reach up and lightly gripped his forearm, "It's nothing to thank me for, I promise."
He looked at her and smiled slightly, "He's an ass...so I do owe at least a little bit of thanks."
"You're not wrong," a laugh escaped her, "but we are heroes, it's what we do."
She had showered and was now tossing and turning in her bed. All she wanted was sleep, but it alluded her. She groaned and sat up. This was bullshit. Her body was so tired, but fighting her like crazy.
She huffed and glared at nothing. Walking to her door, she had another idea.
The sun was set when they finally released him. His mother had stayed until they let him go. Since his last incident, she liked to stay with him. Aizawa drove him back to the dorms. He was done for the week as well. The doctors said he needed some rest time while his stab wound finished healing.
His head was still constantly aching from his concussion. They'd given him medication for it though, which made it more tolerable. He sauntered his way up to the common room to see Deku, Kirishima, and Denki waiting quietly.
They fed him just as they had Sunni. The rest of the class chose not to join them, not wanting Bakugo to feel pressured or overwhelmed.
Kirishima saw his red orbs glance towards the girls wing. He smirked, "She's not there."
The blond looked at his friend, "Then where the hell is she?"
Denki sighed in defeat with a grin, "Where do you think."
Deku smiled when Bakugo got up and headed to the boys wing. Denki stood and stretched, "That lucky idiot."
He quietly opened his door to see a sleeping form curled into his sheets. Her red curls spilling around her. He quietly grabbed some clothes for a shower before heading back out.
He returned and locked the door behind him. He didn't want any annoying disturbances. He wanted to sleep. To curl up with her and rest. He sat on his bed and ran a hand through her hair, causing her to stir. Her blue eyes slowly opened and looked at him.
"Who said you could sleep in here," he teased.
She slowly sat up, "I did." She sleepily smiled, "I'll gladly leave if-"
His lips crashed into hers. He had missed her, this whole week this was what he wanted. His mind went back to when he was bleeding out on the ground. All he thought about was if she was okay. He was relieved when she'd been the one to find him and keep him alert until the medics came.
He pulled his lips from here, "Stay, please."
"How's your brain," she nodded and looked him over.
"It fucking hurts," he watched her, "I'm fine."
"I know, I just have to make sure for my sake is all," she smiled, "Your mom is nice."
He rolled his eyes, "She's annoying."
"She loves you very much."
The blond laid down, "I know she does." He pulled Sunni to him, "Now go back to sleep."
She smiled and closed her eyes. Letting sleep take over.
