Bakugo woke the next morning with a lazy yawn. He looked over to see Sunni was still asleep beside him. A blush landed on his cheeks at the sight of her in his shirt. It looked good on her. He shook his head as the same feeling as last night tried to break the surface.
It was now Friday morning. They had slept so much. His eyes scanned the room, resting on his phone. He opened it to see texts from his classmates, checking in. There was also one from recovery girl, telling him to come and see her today. He looked over at Sunni before getting up.
He made his way to her office, casually strolling through the halls. Aizawa walked out of his classroom to see the blond walking by.
"Bakugo, how are you feeling?"
He stopped and looked at his teacher, "A lot better now. I'm on my way to see recovery girl."
He dark haired man nodded, "You did great work this week."
"I don't think so," he sighed, "I didn't get to finish."
"Yeah but you helped take down some pretty tough villains." He watched the young man, "Give yourself some credit."
"I guess."
"How is Sunni?"
"She's asleep right now."
He nodded, "Good. I'll see you both tomorrow."
"Your concussion is healing nicely," Recovery Girl smiled, "Your side is also healing fast."
"When do you think I'll be able to train again?"
"Come back and see me in a few days," she put her hands on her hips, "It's the stitches that would concern me. We don't want that opening back up."
He frowned and nodded, "Alright."
Sunni had woken up and showered, dressing in a pair of grey leggings and an oversized dark green sweat shirt that hung off of her right shoulder. Her hair was braided back lazily. She was in her dorm room, watching a movie on her laptop.
Mina had stopped in and hung out with her earlier. The pink haired girl had brought her up to speed on the latest in the class. She was always so well informed. Sunni had decided to keep the events of the night before to herself. If word somehow got back to Bakugo, she knew he'd be upset. They had made plans to get ready with the other girls tomorrow and all ride together.
A while later, a knock came from her doorway. She smiled slightly when Bakugo walked in, "Oh yay, it's my favorite shadow."
He looked her over before his eyes darted to her laptop, "Why aren't you resting?"
"I am," she motioned to her lap top, "I'm watching a movie."
He walked over and looked at the screen, "I like the first one better."
She nodded, "Same. I just couldn't sleep anymore so I needed to occupy my time until I could annoy you again."
He placed a hand on the back of her neck, "Don't start with me."
Without thinking she leaned into his warmth, "Shhhh this is the best kill in the whole film."
"So do you like horror movies," he watched the screen.
She nodded, "I love them. Halloween was my favorite holiday in the states." She looked at him, "What about you?"
He nodded, "I prefer the books to movies though. Film tends to leave out important details."
"What's your favorite?"
He thought for a moment, "It's a Japanese book called Junji Ito. A collection of short horror stories." He sat down beside her, "What's yours?"
"Bram Stokers Dracula. It's a long one, but the writing is great." She smiled, "Of they have it in Japanese, I'll get it for you."
They casually talked for a while, he found out her favorite color was black. Her favorite food was mochi with red bean paste. Fall was her favorite time of the year because of the colors. She wasn't a bug fan of hot coffee but enjoyed hot tea when it was cold outside. Surprisingly large crowds made her nervous, especially men. She'd had some not ideal experiences while touring.
The sun was setting when she yawned. He looked at her for a brief moment, "I have a question."
"I might have an answer."
"My mom..." he sighed, "When we have break in a few weeks, my mom wanted me to invite you to come stay with us..."
"Oh," she thought for a moment, "is that right."
"Yeah, she said if you're not going anywhere." He looked away.
She smiled, "I hadn't made any plans yet, but, how about I keep you posted?"
He nodded and stood, walking to the door, "Goodnight."
"Rest well Bakugo," she watched him go with a small smile. She was glad tonight they had this chance to chat. She felt like she knew him more than on the surface. She turned once more to her computer, in search of the book she promised him.
Saturday morning was a buzz in the dorms. The class was excited to be done with their hero shifts, but also excited for the formal tonight.
Sunni sat at the bar eating a bowl of fruit, watching the girls scurry about excitedly. Denki sat next to her with a smile, "This ain't much of your thing is it?"
She chuckled and shook her head, "Not really. Like I enjoy dressing up, but the act of it is not appealing to me at all." She looked at him, "What about you?"
"Oh I love this shit," he winked, "We have the best looking gals in this school. Any chance to be seen in a room with them is a win."
She eyed him with a smile, "You act all pervy, but you're really a hopeless romantic aren't you?"
He blinked, "I...well..."
"What are you losers doing," Bakugo sauntered up casually.
Denki went to move when Sunni placed a hand on his shoulder, "I have discovered that our dear Denki is a hopeless romantic."
"Now wait a minute-" the electric boy stammered, "I just-"
Sunni laughed, "There's absolutely no shame in that. It's admirable." She eyed Bakugo with a smirk, "Don't let mean 'ol Bakubro bully you."
Bakugo narrowed his red eyes as she moved past, making her giggle. Denki smiled, "She's so cool."
Bakugo leaned against the counter and watched as she shared her fruit with Mina, "She is." He glared at the fellow blond, "So you better be respectful."
Kirishima grinned, "What are we up to?"
Denki chuckled nervously, "Just some dull, boring conversation."
The red head flashed a sharp grin, "Let's go boys." He steered them towards the boys wing, winking at Mina and Sunni as he passed.
Aizawa had volunteered to haul the boys, and Present Mic enthusiastically volunteered to bring the girls. He was excited to see them is their what he dubbed 'Sunday Best'. Literally any excuse to be extra.
"Alright let's get this over with," came the tired voice of the black haired hero, "Mic, don't waste time."
Present Mic grinned, "I would never!" He chuckled as the boys loaded up and drove off. He ran back inside and into the common room, "Let's ride ladies!"
Mina was the first to appear in her silver dress that went all the way to the floor. It was a haltered too with a low corseted back. It wasn't too flashy, but still very much her. Silver bracelets adorned her wrists.
Ochako was Asui were next. Ochako was in a soft lavender sheer dress with a sleeveless high necked, lace top. It was form fitting until it hit her hips, then bellowed to the floor. Sunni had curled her hair and pulled it into a low bun for her. Asui wore a black lace dress that came above her knees and slowly bellowed down to the floor behind her. Dark green heels laced around her ankles. Her hair was curled and out of her face.
Momo walked out in a one shoulder red dress that hugged her form, stopping at her mid thigh. Her hair was curled back, half of it up with a few face framing pieces. Jiro wore a gold dress that V-cut in the front and hugged her body. She never really showed it but she had curves. Sunni told her she needed more self confidence when she was braiding back one side of her hair and curling the rest.
Sunni stumbled in wearing a deep green dress that fell off of her shoulders with a sheer shawl like top. It hugged her form carefully. She adjusted the slit in the side and smiled at the other girls. Her hair was hard parted to the left and had been curled into soft Hollywood waves. A golden necklace complimented her bare collarbone.
Present Mic squealed, "Oh you all look like rock stars! I'm going to look so good walking in with you!"
The girls laughed and posed for an obligatory photo before hopping in the van.
