Author's Note: Hello, dreamers! Sooo, I have an apology to make. I said in the beginning note of the last chapter that I would be introducing Chloe the cat in that one, but I didn't. I was rushing like the Road Runner (Beep beep :P) to get the chapter out, and I forgot. So, she'll be introduced in this chapter, along with the characters from Rio! So, enjoy!

It was a relatively calm day at the Mansion of Lucidity. Lily was at school, and the incarnations were sitting at home in the living room, discussing their next strategy with Aurora.

"Ok, everyone. In the next mission, you will meet the Spix's Macaws from the movie Rio. I don't know what strategy the villains will try this time, but we must always be ready." Aurora said.

"I remember them. I was friends with Linda and Tulio when the Author was about 9 years old." Coletta reminisced.

Esperanza's eyes widned. "I- I remember them! Oh, I remember! I remember how Linda and I created a club. I don't remember who the other women were yet, but I remember the name: 'The Blue Skies Studios Girls.' However, more girls from more movie studios started joining the club, so I had to change the name to 'The Fictional Girls Club.'" Esperanza just couldn't wait to see her friends again...

"I can't wait to meet the heroes! I remember visiting them once, also, so it will be amazing to see them again!" Cadenza said.

All of a sudden, the women heard a tapping sound. They looked, and saw Blu, tapping with his beak on the window.

Aurora went and opened the window. Blu flew in, squawking loudly.

"Blu? What's wrong? Why can't you talk?" Aurora asked. Anthropomorphic animals were always able to talk... Why was Blu only squawking?

Blu made a gesture towards the door.

"You want me to go outside? Ok..." Aurora said, not knowing what would be out there. She opened the door.

There were macaws everywhere! They were in the trees, flying around buildings, and perched on top of them, too! The macaws stared at the Mansion of Lucidity.

"What's... going on?" Cadenza asked, dumbfounded.

"I don't know... No one here knows animal speech..." Coletta said. Her eyes widened, and she ran back inside. She grabbed the phone off of the receiver. "Hello, Antonio? Yeah, can I talk to Rosella, please?"

"Of course! I'll go get her right now! She'll be happy to talk to an old friend!" Prince Antonio said.

A few moments later, Rosella was handed the phone. "Hello? Oh, Coletta! It's been forever! How are things going?"

"Well, not very good, at the moment. The Nightdreamers took the Spix's Macaws' human speech away. I think they found out the villains' plan, and they don't want them to be able to warn us! That's why we need your help since you can talk to animals. We would need you to translate their speech, just until we're able to break this spell the Nightdreamers have them under." Coletta explained.

"Ok, I'll be right there!" Rosella said, determined to help her friends.

Coletta hung up the phone. She fist pumped. "I guess the Nightdreamers didn't think I was friends with an animal speaker!"

"You hear that, Blu? You'll be able to explain everything to us in just a little while!" Cadenza said. Blu squawked in relief.

After waiting for a little bit, Rosella arrived at the front door. "Hey, guys! I'm here!"

"Hi, Ro! I'm glad to see you again!" Coletta said.

"Me too! I'm also glad to help my friends and Princess Lily!" Rosella said. "Now, let's see about Blu." She said.

Blu flew up to Rosella and started squawking.

When he finished, Rosella said, "He said the villains have been giving the animals sunset herb and making them fall asleep!" Sunset herb is a plant that makes you fall asleep when you take it.

"Really? Then we can't let that happen!" Cadenza said.

The girls started by getting all of the animal food bowls together, so they couldn't get into them.

"Alright, I think that's all of them. Now, to find Chloe." Esperanza went looking for her lynx point cat. "NOOOOO!" She screamed. They had accidentally missed her bowl! Chloe had eaten the herb and was now fast asleep! Esperanza picked her up. "What do we do?" She asked.

"There's only one way to save the animals. Island roses." Rosella said.

"But the Nightdreamers are coming! We won't have enough time to go and get-" Esperanza was cut off by a knocking at the door. She answered it and was floored. Antonio and Azul were there, with enough island roses for everyone who needed them!

"We heard a rumor about sunset herb, and decided to bring some flowers over!" Azul said.

"Thank you!" Esperanza said. They made the flowers into the tonic and gave it to Chloe, and some other animals who had also taken the herb. After everyone was cured, they all celebrated. Lily was also back from school, just in time to meet the new characters! All was going well, until Nigel, the main villain from Rio crashed the party!

When he saw everyone partying together, and the animals awake, he was furious! "WHAAAAT? I risk my feathers to secretly infiltrate this place and put sunset herb in the food only to be thwarted by a princess who talks to animals? After he was finished ranting, he realized the ugly truth: he had revealed his entire evil plan! "Oops, d-did I say that out loud?" Nigel said, nervously.

"YES!" Everyone shouted, at the same time.

"But you can still be a good guy," Lily said.

"I won't join the likes of you!" Nigel said, before flying off.

Lily was dumbfounded. "Well, that's never happened before..." She said.

Esperanza suddenly remembered something. "I remember now! I don't remember any of the new characters, but I remember Blue Sky made a second Rio movie! His story isn't over yet, so we still have another chance to bring him to the good side."

A few moments passed, and Nigel came back. "Oh, and, take your silly, human voices back. We don't even need them, anymore!" Nigel used a Nightdreamer spell to give the birds their voices back!

"What- my voice is back!" Blu said.

"Mine, too!" Said his girlfriend, Jewel!

During the party, a car pulled into the Mansion's parking lot. Linda, Tulio, Marcel, Tipa, Armando, and Fernando jumped out!

When Esperanza, Coletta, and Cadenza saw them, memories flooded their minds. They hugged their old friends, even the villains. This was the turning of a new leaf for everyone from the movie Rio. The party was happy and joyful, with everyone at peace.

Meanwhile, Rosie had something to say to Lilith. "I have someone to give you." Rosie handed her a sealed envelope.

"Thank you, Rosie! But, what is it?" Lilith asked.

"Open it, and you'll see!" Rosie smiled.

Lilith opened the envelope, and read it.

Dear Lilith... I want you to know that you're stronger than you know. Even though you miss Dire, I want you to never stop being happy, and never give up! Life throws unexpected things at us all the time, but what matters is catching those things, and embracing them. Always remember to smile, and always look forward to tomorrow.

Lilith was moved to tears. "Rosie... What a heartfelt letter..." She hugged Rosie. "Thank you!" Lilith said.

"You're welcome! It's the least I could do for a friend!" Rosie said.

Author's Note: So, what did you think? Chapter 9 will be about Barbie as the Island Princess, and 10 will be the secret 'mid-book finale!' I won't be taking a break or anything, but the chapter will be more important to the story! On another note, my 'one chapter a day' plan is working well so far! So, I'll see you in the next chapter!
