Bakugo hated every moment of this. All this was to him was ass kissing. Just an event at face value, to make shitty people look good. He would much rather be on patrol or at U.A. curled up with- He shook his head from his thoughts. He really needed to get it together.

"Boys we are in for a fun night," Kirishima grinned, his eyes scanning all of the Pros in the room. He squeezed Bakugo's shoulder, "It'll be over before you know it."

Sero smirked, looking towards the doorway, "Well damn, we got our work cut out for us." Kirishima gave him a confused look before following his gaze, his jaw dropped and Sero let out a low whistle. Todoroki blushed and looked at literally anything else.

Denki let out a breath, "Jesus. At least they make us look good."

Iida pushed him his glasses and looked away with a blush on his face, "Now boys, we have to be professionals-"

"Shut it," Bakugo sighed when his eyes landed on a laughing Sunni. Whatever god existed took their time with her. He tore his eyes from her when he saw an all too familiar Hero sauntering his way over to the red head.

"I don't think I've had the pleasure," came a smooth voice.

Sunni turned around with a smile, "Oh? No I don't think we've met. I'm Hallie."

The winged man smirked, "The girl who saved Endeavor's ass. Just call me Hawks." He looked her over slowly, "You were from the scouting program, correct?"

"I am," she kept her smile, but folded her hands in front of her once she saw his gaze, "I'm from America."

"I love America. You speak great Japanese, did you take classes?"

She nodded, "Yes, for five years. I've always wanted to live in Japan. I like the culture."

"If you ever want someone to show you around sometime," he winked, "I'd be more than happy to-"

"We've got it covered," Bakugo's low voice came from behind her. She turned and smiled in relief to him. He looked down at her, "Come on, they assigned seating."

Hawks grinned, watching her, "Come on Bakugo, no harm done."

His red eyes cut back to the hero when she was out of ear shot, "Don't try it."

"My apologies," he chuckled, "I wouldn't want to step on any toes."

Present Mic giggled into his drink watching the exchange, "That was enjoyable."

Aizawa smirked, "It was."

The rest of the night was good food and conversations. Sunni had met so many pro heroes there was no way she could keep them straight. Best Jeanist was sat beside her most of the night. He was an interesting character. The talked about hair products best suited for patrol. Endeavor was on her other side by his request. She still didn't like him, but, he was more tolerable tonight than he was earlier in the week, meaning he barely paid her any mind.

After dinner she stood and walked over to the window, overlooking the city. She needed a break from all of the people for a moment. Her eyes watched the lights and the people moving about their lives quietly.

"Hallie, I hope you have enjoyed yourself this evening," Endeavor stood beside her.

She put on her best smile and nodded, "I have. It feels like a great honor to be in a room with so many Heroes."

"I can see why you would think that," he looked at her, "seeing as where you came from."

Her eyes met his with confusion, "I don't follow."

"Hallie Forge. Nine years ago, an incident In Detroit. Two villains were taken down. Their children spared and out into a rehabilitation program. They were later released once the eldest hit the legal age. Tobias is now a world renowned musician, and his baby sister is training to be a hero." She felt a wave of pure panic run up her spine. She looked back out over the city, her hands clinched into fists as he continued, "Some would call it a comeback story..."

"Please stop," her voice was soft, quivering slightly.

"What would the others think I wonder," he watched her, "Surely they wouldn't be bothered. Not after all that has happened here in the past three years."

"What's going on here," came a voice of warning from Aizawa. He sized up the other pro before looking at his student.

She turned to face her teacher, on the verge of tears, "I would like to leave now please..."

He studied her face and nodded, "Of course. Wait outside for me."

He watched her leave before sighing, "You know...you don't have to be an asshole all the time."

Endeavor grunted, "The public would find out eventually. Then what?"

"Bakugo don't," Kirishima quietly spoke into his friends ear, holding his arm. "You can't blow your lid here, man."

"I'll beat that fuckers face inside out," he ground out of his teeth.

Todoroki set down his drink, "I'll go see what's happening." He walked up to the two heroes, "What the hell was that?"

"Nothing you need to worry yourself about," Endeavor spat.

"When it concerns my classmate, it concerns me."

"Yes Endeavor, please tell him," Aizawa made his way over to a fuming Bakugo and Kirishima. "We talked about this..."

"You're joking," the blond spat.

Aizawa's eyes flashed, "I'm serious. None of that tonight. I told her to wait outside, why don't you go and check on her while I let Mic know I'm taking her back."

He tore himself from Kirishima's grasp and stormed to the exit. Kirishima sighed and made sure no one else noticed. Aizawa patted his shoulder, "Thank you."

Sunni sat on a bench casually, collecting herself. Her mind was racing. She wasn't ready for the world to know. Would they think she was trash? Everything she and Tobias had worked for could be gone in an instant. A tear made its way down her face.

"Fuck that loser," Bakugo stood behind the bench with his hands in his pockets. "You should've let that blast hit his ass."

She chuckled sadly wiping her eyes, "Hindsight is twenty-twenty." She let out a long breath, "Why are you out here?"

"I hate things like this," he made his excuse. "It's all fake to me." He thought for a moment before walking around and holding out his hand, "Lets go."

"Won't Mr. Aizaw-"

He cut her off, "He'll get over it. Come on."

She smiled slightly and took his hand. They walked for a little while, ending up at a park. They didn't speak, just enjoyed the silence. Sunni leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand, "I guess I should tell you what he said."

He sat beside her on the parks bench, looking at the small pond, "Only if you want to."

"Well, I assume the world will know eventually," she watched the water, "My parents...at one time they weren't good people..." she cleared her throat, "They didn't start out that way. But, after my brother was born, they struggled to make ends meet. My father had a quirk he put to use...as a casual villain. He never killed anyone, and just did what he needed to get by in a system that wanted them to fail." She rubbed her palm absentmindedly, "After I was born, they both had decided to walk away from that life, but time caught up to them...we were all out on a picnic when a hero had spotted my dad...mom was trying to protect us..." Her voice wavered, "I watched as that hero took them from me. Afterwards, they took Tobias and I into a foster program. As soon as he was able, he got us out and pushed his music career, taking me with him and never looking back."

The blond sat for a moment processing the information. That's why she never wanted to talk about them. She was worried people would judge them and scream danger. She stood and dusted off her dress, "People think it's just a matter of heroes versus villains. But what they don't realize is a majority of the time, society makes villains, and sometimes the heroes are the bad guys." She turned towards him, "I'm not going back tonight."

He furrowed his brows, "Where are you going to go?"

She pointed to a tall building a few blocks away, "Tobias' apartment."

He thought for a moment before standing, "Then let's go." She opened her mouth to protest but he moved past her.

She unlocked the door and walked in, flipping the lights on. It was a spacious, modern apartment that overlooked the city. She set the keys back into her clutch bag and tossed it on a table. She sat on the couch and removed her shoes.

Bakugo threw his jacket on a chair and uncuffed his shirt sleeves. He noticed all of the photos that were around. He walked over to take a look. Many were of Sunni when she was younger. He smirked, she was a cute kid. There were photos on them onstage together and behind the scenes being goofy. He stopped when he got to one photo. It was a young Sunni and Tobias with what he assumed were her parents. She looked just like her mom, but with red hair instead of the black hair that settled over her mothers shoulders. Her father seemed like he would've been a good man, a happy smile on his face. A man doing what it took to take care of his family.

"That was a few weeks before," Sunni smiled at the photo.

"You look just like her."

"That's what everyone says," her smiled faltered, "she had the biggest heart."

He looked at her, "You look pretty tonight."

A chuckled sounded as she walked to the fridge, "Why thank you sir." She grabbed some lemonade from the fridge, "You clean up nice yourself." She winked as she poured her glass.

He rolled his eyes, "Luckily it doesn't happen often."

She offered him her glass and grabbed herself another glass, "I don't like Birdman or whatever his name is."

Bakugo almost spit his drink out, laughing, "What'd you call him?"

"Birdman...he's kind of creepy," she chuckled and sipped her drink.

He smirked, "He's an idiot. Now I have to call him Birdman."

She went into a fit of chuckles, "He was trying to be so smooth too and all I could think of is if he molts." They both laughed for a moment, "Like I'm sure he's a great guy. But he made it very obvious." She smiled, "Thank you for saving me."

"It's become my hobby at this point," he pulled out his phone to a text from Aizawa. "Can I tell him where we are?"

"Yeah I don't mind," she put her cup in the sink, "I'm going to change."

He let Aizawa and Kirishima know where they were and that she was okay. Of course Aizawa was playing mother hen, asking if Tobias was there. Bakugo knew he was just asking for formality sake. He tossed his phone to the side.

Sunni came back dressed in a long T-shirt. She handed him some clothes, "You and Tobias are nearly the same size. Try these. I know you're uncomfortable."

He nodded and took them. She showed him the bathroom and left him to his own devices. She walked through and checked the apartment before locking the door. Her phone buzzed. It was Mina. She sighed and answered, "Hey sis."

"Sunni I was getting worried," Mina's concerned voice sounded, "Are you okay? Todoroki kind of told us what happened. Not details, but just about Endeavor being an ass."

"Yeah I'm okay. I'm at my brothers currently. I just needed some space," she bit her lip slightly and fiddled with her hair.

"I get that. Listen, text me tomorrow okay? And fuck that red haired geezer."

Sunni chuckled, "Goodnight Mina."

She turned to see Bakugo leaning on the counter, "I'm assuming she was checking in."

"Yeah," the red head looked him over, "Everything fit okay?"

He nodded, "Thanks."

"There is a guest room if you want to sleep there, I can show it to you," she began walking towards it. He followed quietly. She opened the door to a large bedroom. "I hope this is okay." She pointed at the end of the hall, "That's my room if you need anything."

He walked into the room and looked around, "Thanks."

She smiled, "Goodnight."
