Creator questions
What's your name (real or screen, your choice)
Cimar/WildeHopps
Tell me about yourself, age, where you're from, what you do, anything you want others to know about you, sex, etc.
Eh, kind of a private guy. Basically I'm Nick's age. XD
What brought you to the Zootopia fandom?
The message of the movie brought me in.
What message was that?
The message of being kind to others and not judging them on their outward appearance, but what is on the inside. Pretty much the opposite of everything practiced today by society lol
Who is your OC today?
Ramic the kangaroo is my OC character.
What animal are they?
A red kangaroo
A kangaroo is probably one of the rarest animals I've seen used as an OC. What made you decide on that?
It was decided for me lol. I was talking with a friend who wanted me to pick a Zoosona, and my high school track came up and how I did all the jumping events. They put in all caps, "YOURE A KANGAROO!" Then preceded to tell everyone I was one lol. Didnt even have a name for him until the ZNN interview lol
What do they look like? Special markings, colorations, etc.
Nothing special about him. Just an average kangaroo.
What inspired you to create them?
Actually was kind or forced on me haha. A friend decided I was a kangaroo, and since I then needed one for the interview with ZNN, I went with him.
So most of the group I've talked to so far have looked at their zoosonas as an OC character. Someone who is either a lot like them or mostly what they wish they were. How does Ramic relate to you in that manner?
Ramic is an amalgamation of the communities ideas. He's evolved in his personality and job from what people have written about him, or included as his personality in stories. I've actually done very little to establish him as he still doesnt have an official last name. XD His job at the ZPD in records was part of a community idea to have him working with Korarusans Eliot in shipping Nick and Judy. He has an unofficial gf in a bear named Barbara Brown as part of a shipping campaign of others. Only thing I've really imputed is that he likes to bake brownies for others (not the bad kind lol), is queasy around blood and likes to be helpful. XD
So in essence, your character is a product of the fandom and it's members?
Yeah, you could say that. My friend came up with the species, I borrowed the name from an old story of mine and reversed it, and folks have kind of adapted him into stories in various roles.
What are they like?
He is kind natured, loves to bake brownies and likes to help others.
What's their family life like?
Haven't made a family for him or that background.
Do they have a love interest?
Well, my friends in Europe have hooked him up with a bear named Barbara Brown, and ship them.
Do you have any stories written about them or that they're included in?
They've been included in a few stories where he works in the ZPD Precinct One records department.
What's your favorite version that's been adopted so far?
Tie between Ramic in Johnsoneers Hungry Hearts doctor, and Ziegelzeigs kind demon kangaroo. Both were super fun to read and they created very unique versions of him.
How do you see someone Ramic's size being able to navigate the urban jungle of Zootopia?
Fairly easily. He hops around and usually can avoid different sized mammals. He just has to be careful when he jumps that he knows where he'll be landing.
For the purpose of the OC interview the setting is the creator's OC is about to be interviewed by my co-owned OC Vicky Chola. A north american grey fox vixen in her mid 20s. They're both in a studio booth with headphones on and microphones to speak into. The interview we did earlier about the creator and their OC is considered a pre conversation between these two before going on the air. Vicky will ask questions based on the answers provided by the creator. Enjoy!
"Welcome everyone to another edition of the Characters of Zootopia show! I'm your host Vicky Chola and joining me today is Ramic. Thank you for joining me Ramic."
"Thank you for having me, Vicky. I'm glad to hop on by."
"So Ramic, you're the first marsupial to come onto our show. Can you tell us a little about what makes marsupials special?"
"Well, there's a few things that are a wee bit different about us. I'd reckon pouches are probably the first thing mammals think of. But generally we are just like everyone else.
"So what part of Zootopia do you hail from?"
"From the south district of Outback Island. Pretty average area and it made for a quaint upbringing"
"Do you still live there?"
"I kind of wish I did, as it is a great place to grow up, but, the commute was just a bit too much to work, so I live in Savannah Central near Rainforest. Up a little on a hill so I can see my old house from there too!"
"Nice, so what do you do for a living?"
"Well, I currently work in the records department of the different police precincts. Mainly precinct 1 since they had an issue with all their records stuck together with sprinkles and grease. Did such a good job, they asked me to stay."
"How do you like it?"
"I enjoy it. Lots of quiet time usually so I can peacefully do my work or make up puns to share with officers. It's great!"
"Do you ever wish you were out on the beat doing cop stuff?"
"Oh no. I'm glad I'm not out there. I don't like blood in the least and am too emotional. I couldn't do it, which makes me happy to at least those who can."
"So what exactly does records deal with?"
"Mainly with digitizing older records, and making sure if somebody needs a file about a case, they can find it. So I make sure they can find what they need, when they need it." has a big smile while saying this.
"Sounds kind of boring." giggles
shrugs "It can be at times, but that's why I like it. Besides, sometimes I scan the files and have found something new on a cold case and send it upstairs to be solved. That always makes me feel good."
"Do you have any plans to try and make advancement within the ranks?"
shrugs If it happens it happens. I enjoy the work down here, I'm making a difference one cold case at a time, and it's a job not many want so it went unfilled for a while. I figure I'll keep doing what I'm good at while I can."
"Well that's all the time we have for today. Thank you for tuning in and see you next time."
