"Mina, you have to actually try to hit me or you aren't going to learn anything," Sunni sighed and adjusted her black workout shorts.
Mina frowned, "I just don't want to hurt you."
"This is training," she adjusted the strap on her tank top, "come on. You've got weights on to slow you down."
The pink girl nodded and charged at the red haired girl. She swung her leg in a fast kick, Sunni blocked with her arm and pushed her back, "Like you mean it."
Mina stumbled back and tried again, this time sweeping at her legs and following with another round kick. Sunni bent backwards to dodge and smiled, "Better. Do it again, but add another one, faster."
Mina smiled and nodded before charging her once more. She repeated her pattern, but added a kick towards Sunni's chest. She blocked with her forearms, stepping backwards, "That's it." Sunni grinned, "You got killer legs, you just need to learn how to use them. Remove the weights and try it one more time."
Kirishima leaned against the doorway watching with a small smile. He was thankful Sunni was giving her confidence in combat. She would train with him occasionally, but it wasn't the same. She adored Sunni, so the red head taking the time to work with her meant the world. He heard a noise and turned to see Bakugo, "What's up bro?"
The blond shook his head, "Just coming to blow off some steam." His red eyes cut to the two girls, "What's goin' on?"
"I'm assuming some one on one training," Kirishima turned his attention back to the girls, "Have you talked to her yet?"
His friend was quiet for a moment, "No."
"Sunni I'm so sorry," came Mina's panicked voice.
Sunni was holding her mouth giggling, "No it's okay!" She moved her hand and wiped the small amount of blood off of her lip, "You did it!"
"But your bleeding..."
She rolled her eyes and shrugged, "Mina it's fine, I promise." She smiled, "I'm so proud of you. You're doing well."
Her eyes sparkled, "You think so?"
Sunni ruffled her pink hair, "Yes. Your dancing background really comes in handy with this type of stuff." She nodded her head, "Your mans here, let's go."
Mina grabbed her weights and walked with her friend, "Tomorrow I have patrol, so I won't be able to train."
Sunni pulled a blue U.A. hoodie over her head and nodded, "That's okay, I have a meeting."
They walked over to the two waiting boys, "What meeting?"
"The hero commission," Sunni smiled.
Kirishima blinked, "What are you doing with them?"
"I placed two foundation proposals for assignments in class and they are considering funding them."
"Sunni that's awesome!" Mina gushed, "What are they for?"
She winked, "Legally can't say yet. But when I can, you'll be the first to know."
"Little Glow Stick is making waves," Kirishima teased. That was his current nickname for her because of the way her bow-staff glowed with her quirk.
She rolled her eyes and pushed him gently, "Shut it loser. Take care of my girl." She smiled at Bakugo and made her way past them to grab her things.
Kirishima chuckled and wrapped an arm around Mina, heading out the door. Bakugo pondered his next move for a moment before sighing, "Hallie..."
She pulled on her book bag, "Hm?"
"Can...we talk," his red eyes looked anywhere but her.
She could see how uneasy he was. She furrowed her brows and nodded, "Of course we can." She walked up to him, "What's up?"
He let out a breath, getting annoyed at himself, "I've been thinking about everything." He paused.
Sunni smiled, "Come, have a seat." She turned to a bench and sat her bag down. He hesitated and she rolled her eyes, "Come on."
He sat down, "I need you to understand what all is happening right now..." she looked at him attentively. "Deku and I are starting an agency after we graduate...on top of school and internships..."
Sunni felt like she knew where this was going. Her heart sank, but she kept her composure. She made a promise and she was going to keep it. She smirked, "Sounds like your plate is full. Which is a good thing."
The blond nodded, "I just...with things like this," he motioned between them, "I have literally zero experience. I don't know how I'm supposed to be or-"
Sunni sighed with a small smile, "Katsuki Bakugo...you are such an airhead..."
He blinked, "What?"
She chuckled, "You don't have to be a certain way...remember when you stayed in my room?" He nodded, "I told you, you could be you...and I seriously mean that. Do you get on my fucking nerves with how ridiculously stubborn you are? Of course." She let out a breath, "But you are one of the most amazing humans I've ever met. You inspire me. You inspire me, not the idea of the hero. So no matter what, understand that you do not have to change." She held out her pinky finger, "Promise?"
He blinked for a few moments, taking in what she said. He slowly reached up and took her pinky with his. "I promise," he quietly said. She gave him her signature smile and that's all if took before his lips met hers in a soft kiss. He looked at her, "Just, be patient."
She rolled her eyes, "Says you."
Mina grinned, looking in the window. Kirishima rolled his eyes with a smile, "Come on nosy, let's eat."
"Kiri I'm so happy for her," she skipped along beside him, "Hopefully he doesn't make an ass of himself."
He chuckled, "Mina, we both know he will. It's just a matter of time. But, I have faith he'll figure it out."
Sunni laid back against his chest, reading over his paperwork for the agency. He let her read through it since she had experience with registration documents from her classes. He felt a lot more at ease since their conversation. They had agreed to take things as they came, no expectations. He rested his chin on her head, thinking to himself.
"All of these seem good to go," she flipped through the last page. "I wouldn't make any changes."
"Good because this shit is annoying."
She chuckled, "If you're going to be running an agency, paperwork is going to be your normal."
He scoffed, "That's what the nerd is for."
"Hey Kaachan-" Deku, as if summoned, opened the door and paused in his tracks, "Oh I'm sorry..."
Sunni smirked as a heavy sigh left the blond behind her, "Deku..."
"I-I should've knocked," the green haired boy swallowed.
"Relax," she smiled and held up the documents, "these look great."
He relaxed and smiled, "You think so?"
"Yeah, stuff like this is part of my other major. All of your ducks are in a row."
He let out a breath of relief, "Good. We have to send it in tomorrow." He looked at his blond, oddly silent friend, "See you at eight, right?"
"Yes, now leave," his red orbs pierced through the other boy for interrupting them. Deku nodded furiously and shut the door.
"You gotta stop being to mean to that kid," Sunni laid the papers aside and scolded him.
He watched her, "It's how we function at this point. If I was nice to him, he'd think something was wrong."
She laughed and turned to face him, "That's fucked up." His eyes studied her for a moment. The way her curls fell around her face. The brightness of her blue eyes. Her freckles expertly placed. She smiled watching him, "What?"
He shook his head, "Nothing. Just looking."
"Mhmmm probably planning how to annoy me."
He smirked, "You caught me." He pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her, breathing in her scent. He felt himself relax holding her.
"You know I have to go soon," she snuggled against him. "We both have early morning call times."
He frowned, "Yeah I'm aware."
She slowly sat up out of his grasp and placed a small kiss on his cheek. His phone buzzed. She saw the name and her eye twitched. Tobias was texting him now? Bakugo casually picked it up and replied. She pursed her lips, "I don't like this alliance."
He smiled, "Too bad. You started it."
She huffed, "It doesn't matter. What are you two planning?"
"Nothing. Just talking." He locked his phone and sat it to the side. "I talked to him about the upcoming break."
"Did you?" She crossed her arms.
He chuckled, "This is fun."
"What is," she narrowed her eyes.
"Seeing you get all flustered over nothing."
She smiled coyly and settled herself in his lap, "I'm so happy you think so. Just remember," she placed a kiss on his lips, "I'm better at it, Katsuki."
"I would beg to differ," his red hazy eyes met hers, "I remember someone saying please."
"Your time is approaching," she smiled sweetly and ruffled his hair, "I have to go now, goodnight."
He let out a deep breath when she closed the door. He needed to work on his self control when she said his name.
