TW: Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I'm aware.

THWA: Not really. Nothing beyond Day of The Doctor is canon to this work.

Still in a bit of shock from the ending of the previous recording, the viewers watched tense as the next recording began.

Amy is running down a dirt road, a car in hot pursuit. The driver tells someone on a radio that she's directly ahead. The words 'Three months later - July 1969' appear on the screen. The words 'Valley of the Gods – Utah' appears on the screen as another car rolls onto the dirt road. The two cars follow Amy as she runs towards the edge of a cliff. She skids to a stop on the edge, realizing she's trapped. She turns around as Canton and several other men in suits get out of the cars. Canton and Amy greet each other as one of the men pulls out a black bag. Amy realizes it's a body bag, which Canton confirms.

"Looks like things went sour between Canton and the others," Jack noted.

"Clearly, since he's planning on killing her," Donna snapped, the words coming out sharper than she intended as they eyed the screen worriedly.

"Well things apparently don't stay that way if The Doctor trusted him enough to send him one of his envelopes," Wilf pointed out.

"I hope you're right Wilf," Martha muttered, not able to shake the uneasy feeling in her heart.

Canton points a gun at Amy as she asks him if he remembers why he's doing this or what happened at the warehouse. A flashback is shown; revealing Amy's shot hadn't hurt the girl as The Doctor helps Canton to his feet.

"Oh thank God," Donna said as they all breathed a sigh of relief.

"That was too close," Jack muttered.

"You don't know the half of it," Jane said darkly, unable to shake the shutter that ran through her.

It was only upon learning that girl's true identity that Jane had realized how messed up the entire incident really was.

Rory and River climb out of the tunnels and the group runs. Canton holds them up, asking what's going on. The Doctor tells him to look behind him but Canton argues there's nothing there. At The Doctor's urging, Canton turns around to see one of the aliens. In the present, Amy falls to the ground as a shot rings out. Her arms are covered in black markings.

"No," Donna whispered as the past viewers all stared at the screen in horror.

"Tell me I'm seeing things. Tell me I didn't see what I just saw," Mickey almost pleaded.

"You saw it. But like most things, there's more to it than what you saw," Jane promised.

"I hope so. There's been enough death in these already," Jack said darkly as they all remembered seeing The Doctor murdered.

The scene changes to Area 51. The Doctor is restrained in a chair by chains, dressed in a strait jacket. His hair has grown longer and he sports a beard that covers his chin. Various soldiers surround signs that read 'do not approach the prisoner'. Canton and his team enter the room, Canton approaching The Doctor. Canton informs him they found Amy and tells him of the markings on her arms. He pulls out a crime scene photo of Amy's arm, asking The Doctor if he knows what they are he tosses it to the floor. The Doctor tells him to ask her.

"And Boss is being held prisoner by the Americans in Area 51. What is this, a sci-fi movie?" Mickey asked dryly.

"Seems like it, doesn't it?" Martha agreed.

"The Doctor doesn't seem all that worried by what happened to Amy," Wilf pointed out.

"He seems pretty apathetic about it. Which means he's bidding his time, or like Jane said, there's more going on here," Jack noted, hoping it was the latter.

The scene changes to New York City at night. In a foreclosed building, River, sporting the same markings on her arm as Amy, walks further into the building when she hears the sound of metal falling to the floor. Turning around, she sees the shadows approach before the aliens walk through the sheets. River says she sees them, taking out a marker and drawing a mark on her arm. In the distance, Canton and various men with guns enter the building. Canton calls out to River and she turns away. She turns back to find the aliens gone.

"And those things are still out there. Brilliant," Donna said sarcastically.

"River has the same markings on her than Amy did," Jack noted.

"She drew it on her arm after she saw the aliens. I wonder what that's about," Wilf said curiously.

"Isn't it obvious? It's to keep track of the aliens," Mickey pointed out.

"It makes sense. They can't remember, so they have to keep an account somehow," Martha mused.

"It's clever. I'm impressed," Jack admitted.

"How does that help them stop the aliens though?" Wilf wondered.

"I'm willing to bet The Doctor has spent all that time in Area 51 coming up with a plan to do just that," Jack said confidently.

"Sounds like Boss. Looking forward to seeing what he's come up with," Mickey said with a smirk.

River runs to the edge of the building as Canton and his men catch up to her. River turns to face as they aim at her. She tries to warn him that they're everywhere and he sarcastic says they've been invaded. "You were invaded a long time ago, America is occupied!" River says. Canton says she's coming with them, as there's no way out. "There's always a way out," River says. Canton looks confused as she smiled before raising her arms and stepping back, falling towards the ground. Canton rushes to the edge, looking down and seeing her fall.

"River's not someone who would commit suicide," Jack noted.

"And I met her in the future, her future anyway," Donna pointed out and Jack nodded.

"I wonder what she's up to then," Martha said interested.

Back at Area 51, Canton returns, telling The Doctor they found River. The Doctor asks what the bricks they're putting around him are made of before inquiring about River. Canton tells him she ran off the fiftieth floor. The Doctor pauses before realizing the bricks are made of dwarf star alloy, noting they're building him the perfect prison. "And it still won't be enough," The Doctor growls as he lifts his head, glaring at Canton.

"On second thought, maybe Boss is just bidding his time," Mickey noted, seeing how angry The Doctor seemed.

"Either way, if he could get out of the Pandorica, The Doctor can get out of this to," Wilf said certainly.

"He had Rory to help him though Wilf," Martha pointed out and Wilf didn't have an answer for that.

The scene changes again. Rory, black markings all over his arms, chest and face, runs out a door and onto a bridge. He finds himself surrounded by men in suits on all side. He runs towards the ledge of Glen Canyon Dam, looking down and seeing how far a drop it is. Rory puts up his hands and slowly backs away from the ledge. Rory asks what they're waiting for and Canton says he's waiting for him to run, as it would look better for him. Rory puts his arms down definitely. "Then again," Canton said as he points a gun at Rory. "Looks aren't everything." Rory closes his eyes as Canton fires.

"Rory," Wilf muttered as they stared at the screen uneasily.

"That's it then. Even if they're not dead, The Doctor has no one to help him," Donna said in dismay.

"How will you get out of this one Doctor?" Jack wondered as he stared at the screen curiously.

Back at Area 51, The Doctor's prison is now complete, resembling a cube. The Doctor and Canton are inside, The Doctor asking what Canton's reasons for doing this are. As two body bags are dragged into the prison, Canton explains he wants The Doctor to understand where he stands: in the perfect cell, with walls nothing can penetrate not even sound or radio waves. As the men leave, Canton puts his hand on a scanner and the cell door closes, sealing them inside. Canton explains they're cut off from the rest of the universe. He pauses before asking if everyone outside can hear them. The Doctor says good work before asking if the door is sealed. Canton confirms this and The Doctor gets to his feet, easily breaking out of the chains and strait jacket as the body bags rise, Amy and Rory emerging from them.

"You are good Doctor," Jack said as he laughed, all of them realizing The Doctor's plan.

"None of Canton's men can hear or see anything inside the box," Donna said as she smiled.

"It's the perfect cover. While they think The Doctor is being interrogated, he's really working with Canton to stop the aliens," Martha noted.

"And no one will be looking for Amy or Rory because they've been 'killed'. Nice one Boss," Mickey said with a grin.

"No matter what face, Dad's plans are always brilliant," Jane said with a grin.

Rory complains about the lack of air and Canton dryly notes he's never had a complaint. Amy asks if the men outside will find it odd he's in there but Canton said they won't suspect anything as nothing can get out. The Doctor agrees, saying they know they're not going anywhere. He leans back, bumping into the cloaked TARDIS. The Doctor snaps his fingers and the doors open. "Shall we?" They all head inside and Canton asks about River, pointing out she jumped off a rooftop. The Doctor assures him she does that before ordering Amy and Rory to open the doors to the swimming pool. The scene flashes back to River falling. She suddenly bends until she is diving and crashes through the TARDIS side entrance. A splash is heard followed by water splashing out of the TARDIS.

"Well, one thing is for certain: River has style," Jack said with a grin.

"As if there was any doubt about that," Martha said with a laugh.

The Doctor, now dressed in his regular clothes with his hair cut and beard trimmed, is explaining that the aliens have been here for a while as River walks into the console, drying her hair with a towel. Canton asks why they're up to and The Doctor admits he doesn't know but says they have a secret weapon. The Doctor then leads them outside, where the TARDIS now stands on a grassy area a few miles from the Apollo 11 launch site. River asks if Apollo 11 is his secret weapon and The Doctor dismisses this as silly, calling his real secret weapon Neil Armstrong's foot.

"What?" Wilf asked as they all looked confused.

"If it's anything like The Doctor's other plans, it won't make sense until it all comes together. I wonder what he's up to," Jack mused curiously.

"Oh you'll love it," Jane promised with a grin.

"Let me guess, it's so mad only he could pull it off?" Martha asked dryly.

"Not so mad as complicated, but I'd be surprised if anyone else could have pulled it off," Jane shrugged.

The scene changes to a rainy night. A limo is driving up to Graystark Hall Orphanage as the radio is on a station with a newscaster talking about the moon launch. Inside, Canton turns it off before turning to Amy and making sure she's ready. She looks down at her hand and says clear. He looks at his hand and says clear, feeling it. The scene flashes to earlier on the TARDIS. The Doctor takes what resembles a gun and places it on Canton's palm, Canton crying out as something is injected into him. The Doctor asks what they've found out in three months and Rory says the aliens are everywhere in every state in America before crying out as The Doctor injects him to.

"What is The Doctor injecting them with?" Martha wondered as she narrowed her eyes, the physician in her rising curiously.

"Well I doubt it's a flu shot," Donna muttered, wondering what he was doing.

"I'm more concerned about how many aliens there are in America," Jack said, alarmed by this new detail. "How long have they been there?"

"Too long," Jane said simply, knowing no answer would satisfy Jack.

The Doctor corrects that it's not just America, but the world and River points out there's a greater amount here. The Doctor injects Amy next before asking her if she's okay. She says she's all better, explaining she's not pregnant after all.

"Well I think we got that by her flat stomach," Mickey said dryly.

"It doesn't make sense though," Martha pointed.

"Why did the aliens want The Doctor to know Amy was pregnant if she really wasn't?" Jack agreed, narrowing his eyes. "It doesn't add up."

"Not at first, no. They have a plan for Dad, it takes a while to make sense," Jane said, knowing they'd probably take it as well as she had her first time viewing. "We'll get there."

Rory walks over, having heard part of the conversation and asks what's wrong. She says nothing and puts their focus back on the aliens. Canton notes they've seen them but can't remember and River says Canton did as well during the night at the warehouse, revealing they've seen hundreds while on the run but don't know what they look like. Rory notes it's as if they edit themselves out of your memory once you look away. Amy adds you sometimes feel sick and Canton realizes this is why they marked their skin. Amy points out this was the only way they'd know if they had an encounter. Canton asks how long they've been here and Amy says they've been trying to find out. Which Rory notes isn't easy if you can't remember anything. Canton asks how long they think. "As long as there's been something in the corner of your eye or creaking in your house or breathing under your bed or voices through a wall," The Doctor says before looking around at all of them. "They've been running your lives for a very long time now, so keep this straight in your head. We are not fighting an alien invasion. We are leading a revolution. And today the battle begins."

"They've been there that long?" Wilf asked alarmed and Jane nodded.

"Yeah. But don't worry Wilf. Dad made sure humanity took back their planet, the human race is not being held prisoner by these things anymore," Jane promised.

"The Doctor led a revolution and won. I'm not even surprised," The Doctor said with a smirk. "Well done my friend."

Canton asks how and The Doctor says like this before injecting River. She yelps and The Doctor laughs before pulling out a small device, calling it a Nano Recorder, which he has injected into all of them. The Doctor explains it will pick up their voice no matter what, as it has a telepathic connection to them. The Doctor tells them they activate it once they see the alien and describe it, pushing the spot where he has injected himself to demonstrate. He presses it again and a recording The Doctor's voice is heard, saying everything he had said once he activated it.

"That is brilliant. They can find out what they've forgotten that way," Martha said impressed.

"If they survive," Jack said grimly. "These aliens aren't above killing, as we saw with Joy."

"Joy was to send a message Jack. The others are too important to kill so needlessly," Jane said before smiling. "That's their mistake."

They looked at her oddly but Jane didn't seem to notice, merely watching the screen with rapt attention.

The Doctor explains the light will flash if they've left themselves a message, so they need to keep checking their hands as that will be the only way they'll know if they've had an encounter. Canton asks why The Doctor didn't tell him this before but The Doctor reveals he did, but even that was forgotten by Canton and he couldn't refresh it without talking to him. Canton straightens The Doctor's bowtie and realizes they're all staring at him. River tells him to look at his hand and he does, shocked to find the recorder flashing. Canton is confused as The Doctor reminds him what they talked about. Wearily, Canton activates the recorder and is shocked to hear a recording of himself having an encounter with one of the aliens and The Doctor instructs him to look away and straighten his bowtie when he does. Canton looks over, seeing one of the aliens as the recording continues to play out.

"What the bloody Hell!?" Mickey exclaimed as the past viewers stared at the screen in shock.

"How the Bloody Hell did it get onto the TARDIS?!" Donna shouted.

"Just watch, it's explained in a minute," Jane assured them.

The Doctor explains it's merely a hologram made from the photo on Amy's phone. The hologram fades and The Doctor tells Canton to describe the alien. Canton finds he can't and The Doctor admits neither can he. The Doctor explains Canton straightened his bowtie because he planted the idea while Canton was looking at the alien. Amy realizes an idea can be planted in your head from these aliens and you could be doing something without knowing why, Rory comparing it to post hypnotic suggestion.

"So you even forget what they look like after looking away from a photograph," Jack mused.

"So taking a picture is basically useless," Martha said and Jack nodded in agreement.

"They some of the most dangerous aliens you'll ever encounter. Because you never know if you've met one," Jane said grimly.

"What are they?" Donna asked and Jane smiled tightly.

"Spoilers."

Amy is in disbelief before The Doctor turns the discussion to the girl in the spacesuit. The Doctor wonders where they got the girl and Canton says they could have gotten her from anywhere. The Doctor argues they would've stayed close to the warehouse and it would have been from the place that caused the least amount of attention. The Doctor then orders them to find the girl, as he's going to NASA. Canton wonders where they look and The Doctor says children's homes.

"Well that explains why they're at the orphanage," Mickey muttered.

"So we're all caught up again," Jack mused.

"At least it wasn't as confusing as the one with the Pandorica," Donna pointed out and Jack nodded, conceding her point.

The scene then flashes back to the present as Canton and Amy knock on front door of the orphanage. A man opens the door and Canton holds up his badge, identifying the man as Mr. Renfrew. Canton asks if they can come in and Renfrew argues the children are asleep. Amy promises they'll be quiet and Renfrew asks if there's a problem. Canton says it's about a missing child. Renfrew starts to ask another question but then stops, asking them to come in instead. Renfrew leads Amy and Canton up the stairs and they notice 'get out leave now' is painted in the walls in red.

"And that's not bloody creepy at all," Mickey muttered as the past viewers looked at the screen startled.

"You might be onto something with your horror movie theory," Jack mused.

Renfrew apologizes for the writing, saying it keeps happening and he tries to clean it. Amy asks if the kids do that and he says yes. As he takes a rag to the wall, they see the words 'get out' written on his wrist.

"He seems…" Martha trailed off, not quite sure how to describe.

"Unstable. Maybe insane," Jack noted and she nodded.

"So how is the orphanage still open then?" Donna wondered. "I doubt social services would let him keep running it."

"I don't think social services has anything to do with it Donna," Mickey said grimly.

"It's the aliens. They make sure it keeps running," Wilf realized.

"That would be my guess," Jack muttered.

Renfrew leads them towards his office and Canton says the orphanage closed in 67. Renfrew calls this the plan, revealing he believes it's 1966, not 1969. Canton tries to explain to him its 1969 but Renfrew gestures them towards his office, becoming upset.

"He's definitely a bit mad," Donna said and none of them disagreed.

"Would he even be allowed to keep a child there?" Wilf wondered.

"If these aliens want him to," Jack said darkly.

As Canton follows Renfrew, Amy heads upstairs to investigate. Heading into a room, she finds more writing on the walls of an abandoned room, along with a rocking horse and empty beds. Elsewhere, The Doctor is working on some electrical wires when he's contacted by Amy. She tells him the orphanage must be where the aliens got the girl, as they've been here but it's deserted, explaining about Renfrew. The Doctor notes repeated memory wipes eventually fry the brain.

"Well that explains Renfrew," Jack mused.

"That poor man," Wilf said, feeling sympathy for Renfrew. "What these aliens have done to him…"

"And I have a feeling that's only the tip of the iceberg," Martha muttered and Jane smiled unpleasantly but didn't say a word.

The Doctor orders her to find out what she can but not to stay at the orphanage too long. Amy asks where he is and he tells her he has go, as he has company. The Doctor cuts the call, sitting up and assuring the two scientists he's put everything back the way he found it. The recording moves away to reveal The Doctor is at the Apollo 11 launch site, inside the shuttle.

"Spaceman, you are too much sometimes," Donna muttered, not sure whether to be exasperated or amused.

"Oh Doctor," Martha said as she sighed in exasperation.

"Only you Boss," Mickey said as he barked out a laugh.

"Apparently his plan does involve Apollo 11," Jack noted intrigued. "You know, Torchwood actually helped on the Space program back in the 60's. I was a consultant."

"I don't even want to know," Martha muttered.

Back at Graystark, Amy is startled when the door suddenly closes on its own. She whirls around and heads to the door, trying to open it but the door is jammed. Taking her hand off the knob, she sees her recorder is blinking. Pressing it, she hears a recording of herself, warning her to get out as the aliens are all asleep. Amy then runs to the window, trying to open it but it's jammed. Amy then noticed multiple black markings on her hands and sees her reflection in the window. She has black markings all over her face as well. Amy then looks up, seeing multiple aliens are hanging on the ceiling.

"Bloody Hell," Mickey muttered as the past viewers looked at the screen in shock.

"Well, if there was any doubt the aliens were involved with keeping the orphanage open, I think that settles it," Jack said grimly.

"There are so many," Wilf said weakly.

"And that must be only a small fraction," Donna said softly.

"How did you do it Doctor?" Martha almost whispered, not seeing how The Doctor could have defeated all the aliens.

Amy cautiously begins heading towards the door but her foot knocks into one of the bedframes. One of the aliens wakes as the door opens of its own accord. Amy looks towards the door, forgetting about the aliens. After doing another sweep of the room, she heads out. She doesn't notice one of the aliens watching as she walks away, standing on the floor.

"They know she's there," Martha said alarmed.

"Brilliant. Can something go right, just this once?" Donna groaned.

"It's The Doctor, what do you think?" Jack asked sarcastically.

The scene changes to a classroom. The Doctor is being questioned by NASA officials about how he got into the command module while cuffed to a chair. The Doctor claims he is on a top secret mission from the President and one of them sarcastically says he just needs to have Nixon assure them of that. The Doctor says he sent Nixon a message before the doors open and Nixon walks in, followed by River in a dress and Rory in a suit and glasses.

"Gives a whole new meaning to 'I know the President'," Jack said with an amused smirk.

"Well in Dad's case, he actually does," Jane said with a giggle.

Nixon walks up to the officials, shaking their hands and thanking them for their service. He then begins talking about how one of the officials, Mr. Grant is expecting a baby with his wife before backing up The Doctor's claims that he's working for him. The Doctor waves through his handcuffs as Nixon asks if they can cut him some slake. The officials point out The Doctor broke into Apollo 11, The Doctor mouthing 'sorry' to Nixon, who is taken aback. Nixon recovers, saying The Doctor had a good reason for that as River and Rory exchange amused glances. Nixon requests The Doctor be released as he needs him to do some important work for America. The officials are hesitant and Nixon points out he is the Commander in Chief. The officials agree.

"It really does pay to have friends in high places," Martha noted.

"Especially when you're The Doctor," Wilf added and none of them disagreed.

The Doctor is uncuffed and he shakes the hand of the two officials on his way out. As The Doctor, Nixon and River head out, Rory is examining a model of Apollo 11's Lunar landing module. He accidently breaks off a piece. Rory awkwardly puts it on the desk before telling the officials America salutes them and following the others out after an awkward salute.

"Oh Rory," Donna said amused as they all laughed at his antics.

Back at Graystark, Canton questions what Renfrew has been doing since the orphanage closed. "Oh, the child, she must be cared for. It's important. That's what they said," Renfrew says.

"So the aliens are responsible for the orphanage being open," Wilf muttered.

"It doesn't seem like its open so much as its being used by them," Martha noted.

"Why is this child so important though?" Jack wondered as he narrowed his eyes.

"Wait for it," Jane said with a grimace, knowing Jack of all people probably wouldn't take it well.

Canton asks who said that as upstairs, Amy is continuing to look around. She is walking the halls when she suddenly sees a door. A slot at the top slide open and a woman with an eye patch looks in at her. Amy asks who the woman is and the woman looks away, saying to someone Amy is dreaming. Amy is confused when the woman slides the slot closed. Amy walks over to the door and opens it, finding a room in surprisingly good condition. Amy calls around for the woman but is stunned to see there's no slot on the other side of the door.

"What the Bloody Hell was that?" Mickey wondered as the past viewers looked bewildered.

"It's…complicated. All I can say is there's a lot about Amy in this set that doesn't make much sense until later," Jane explained.

"Starting to get a migraine from all the things that don't make sense," Mickey grumbled.

"You and me both," Donna muttered.

Walking further into the room, she finds a small bed with a bear and a basinet with stars. Walking over to a dresser, she finds multiple pictures of the child in the spacesuit, except she now looks like a regular girl. Seeing something, Amy picks up a photo, stunned to see it is of her with a baby.

"What the Hell?" Donna exclaimed as the past viewers stared at the screen in disbelief.

"Why does the girl in the spacesuit have a picture of Amy?" Jack asked, things making less sense the more it went on.

"I told you it was complicated. It all makes sense later, I promise," Jane said.

"Oi, definitely getting a bloody migraine," Donna grumbled.

"Me to," Martha said in exasperation.

Amy wonders how that can be her before putting the photo down in shock. Hearing rhythmic breathing, she whirls around to see an astronaut walk into the room. Amy backs up, demanding the astronaut tell her who they are. The astronaut lifts the visor, revealing it is the girl again. The visor is slightly dented from where the bullet had impacted.

Jane grimaced, the sight making her uncomfortable with full knowledge. Amy had come so close to killing her own daughter, and she'd have never even known.

"So the girl does live here after all," Wilf mused.

"More like being kept here," Jack noted, his eyes narrowing as he continued to wonder why the girl was so important. "Just who are you?"

Amy apologizes, explaining she didn't mean to shoot her and is glad she missed. But Amy knows the girl is going to kill The Doctor and pleads to know who the girl is. The girl merely asks for Amy to help her. Amy is confused before becoming terrified as two of the aliens enter the room. Amy screams before the door suddenly slams shut.

"Amy," Donna started as they all stared at the screen alarmed.

"Well it's not one of Boss's adventures until something goes wrong," Mickey sighed.

As worried as he was for Amy, Jack had noticed another detail: the girl had asked Amy for help. But that wasn't what had his attention. The way the girl had looked at Amy, it was like she knew her somehow. And that picture…what was going on here?

In Renfrew's office, there is a knock at the door. Renfrew walks up to the door and opens it slightly. Renfrew talks to someone but Canton isn't able to hear what the other person says. Renfrew closes the door and walks back to his desk, sitting down. Canton asks who that was. "Who was who?" Renfrew asks. Canton moves towards the door before it opens and an aliens walks through.

"Oh Bloody Brilliant!" Donna snapped angrily.

"They're being picked off one by one. Looks like The Doctor's plan is backfiring," Jack said grimly and a smile managed to find its way to Jane's lips.

"Don't be so sure Jack. The night is young," Jane said confidently.

Canton asks what it is, tapping his hand to activate his recorder, pointing out he won't remember. Canton points out they invaded them before he hears Amy crying for help and asks if they're armed. "This world is ours," the alien says. "We have ruled it since the wheel and fire. We have no need of weapons." Canton then pulls out his gun, firing at the alien and it falls to its knees once shot. "Welcome to America," Canton says before running out of the office.

"Why Canton, aren't you full of surprises," Jack said flirtatiously. "My kind of man."

"Not the time Jack," Martha said in exasperation.

"He makes a point though, that was impressive," Mickey said impressed. "I can see why Canton was top of the FBI."

At the Oval Office, the TARDIS is standing behind The Doctor as he tells Nixon he needs to record everything that happens. Nixon demands to know what The Doctor was doing to Apollo 11 and The Doctor says he was doing a 'clever thing'.

"So The Doctor is the reason beyond the Nixon Tapes," Jack noted.

"I'm not even surprised anymore," Donna sighed.

The Doctor tells Nixon he can now only trust him when River opens the TARDIS door, telling him Canton is calling. The Doctor quickly rushes inside the TARDIS. At Graystark, Canton follows the sound of Amy's voice to the room. He tries to open the door but finds it locked. He knocks on the door, telling Amy to step away from the door so he can blow the lock. Before he can, The Doctor, Rory and River rush over. The Doctor quickly uses his screwdriver on the lock as Rory frantically calls for Amy. Amy says she can't see as The Doctor unlocks the door. As they head inside, the girl, now out of the spacesuit, is around the corner, out of breath.

"The girl's outside," Mickey stated the obvious.

"We can see that," Donna muttered absently.

"I think what Mickey means is what does that mean for Amy?" Martha asked as they all tensed, wondering what happened.

The others find Amy is not in a room. Rory wonders where Amy is as The Doctor sees the spacesuit, quickly scanning it with his screwdriver. River unhooks the oxygen tank, revealing it's empty. They hear Amy's voice, sobbing if they can hear her. Looking down, Rory finds Amy's recorder on the floor, flashing.

"They took her. They took the recorder out and took her," Wilf said as the past viewers stared at the screen in horror.

"Amy," Donna whispered, worried about the other redhead.

Rory picks it up, asking how they could have taken this out of her. As Amy continues to sob, Rory asks how he can still hear her and River asks if it's a recording. The Doctor quickly scans the recorder and explains it defaults to live and that what they're hearing is current. Rory puts the recorder to his lips, telling Amy's they're coming for her, promising they will. The Doctor gently tells Rory she can't hear him, that it's a one way connection. "She can always hear me Doctor. Always, wherever she is. And she always knows that I am coming for her, do you understand me? Always," Rory says passionately.

As the others worried about Amy, Jane thought of Amy's speech to baby Melody while they had been captured by Kovarian. Well, it wasn't like Rory was wrong.

Amy then begins calling for The Doctor, wondering if he can hear her and begging him to get her out of there. Rory and The Doctor exchange a glance before Rory promises he'll bring The Doctor.

"Ouch," Mickey said, feeling sympathy for Rory.

The group is startled as Renfrew enters the room, saying someone has been shot. But he then blinks as he realizes he can't remember. The Doctor quickly follows Renfrew back to his office, finding the sounded alien trying to sit up. As the others walk in, The Doctor kneels down, demanding to know who and what the alien is. "Silence, Doctor. We are the Silence," the alien says. The Doctor remembers Prisoner Zero and Rosanna talking about the Silence. "And Silence will fall," the alien says.

"The Silence. The Silence that they were talking about in the last set," Martha remembered as the past viewers stiffened.

"This is what they were talking about," Mickey muttered.

"Not exactly," Jane said and they looked at her in bewilderment. "There is much more to the Silence than what you're seeing now."

"And let me guess, you won't tell us?" Jack said dryly and she smiled tightly.

"Spoilers."

Back at Area 51, the soldiers are still surrounding The Doctor's prison. They draw their weapons as the door suddenly unseals. They have their weapons trained as Canton walks out. One of the soldiers says he's been in there for days, demanding to know what he's been doing. Canton tells him it doesn't matter and demands Dr. Shepherd be brought here. The soldier says he needs to talk to Colonel Jefferson. "No, you really don't," Canton says before Nixon walks out of the prison. The soldiers put their guns away and immediately salute Nixon. Nixon tells them how he appreciates all their hard work they've been doing before the scene flashes to a TV, which is on a new channel that is giving a report on the launch. Apollo 11 will launch in less than two minutes.

"Why would Canton go back to Area 51?" Jack wondered as he narrowed his eyes. "It doesn't make sense."

"And how does bringing Nixon there help at all?" Martha agreed, as bewildered as Jack.

"It'll make sense soon, I promise," Jane said.

"Getting real tired of you saying that," Donna grumbled.

"I know. Like I said, I know I'm asking a lot. Just be patient, please," Jane pleaded.

The Doctor and River are examining the spacesuit in the warehouse, Rory lingering behind them. River notes the suit has 20 different kinds of alien tech inside as The Doctor wonders why the Silence would put the girl in here. River points out in this, you don't need to eat and it processes sunlight directly, along with built in weaponry and a communication system that can hack anything. The Doctor asks if that includes the telephone network and River says easily. The Doctor wonders why the girl would phone the President and River explains the suit defaults to the highest authority it can find. "The little girl gets frightened, the most powerful man on earth gets a phone call," River points out. "The night terrors with a hotline to the White House."

"That's not a spacesuit, that's a bloody Iron Man suit," Donna muttered.

"Question is why would the Silence go to all the trouble of making a spacesuit into a weapon?" Jack wondered. "It was obviously designed to kill The Doctor. Why? And don't say it'll make sense later."

"The Silence have been after Dad for a long time," Jane said after a moment. "They have their reasons. Not that it makes any of it better."

The past viewers eyed her wearily before turning back to the screen, wondering what their reasons were.

River looks up to see The Doctor has pulled out his envelope and is licking it. She tells him he won't learn anything from it and he notes it was purchased on earth, ordinary save the TARDIS blue color. "Summoned by a stranger who won't even show his face. That's a first for me, how about you?" The Doctor asks.

"Because you bloody summoned yourself," Donna grumbled darkly, still not over it.

River says their lives are back to front, his future is her past and his firsts are her lasts. The Doctor points out that's not what he asked and River tells him to ask something else. He asks what the Silence is doing raising a child. "Keeping her safe. Even giving her independence," River says. The Doctor walks over to Rory, seeing him eye the recorder and tells him the only way to save Amy is work out what the Silence is doing and everything they learn about them brings them a step closer. Rory snaps that he knows as The Doctor muses that it's possible the girl is not just any little girl. River points out she's human judging by the life support software. "But?" The Doctor asks. River points out she climbed out of the spacesuit, forced her way out, noting she's incredibly strong. "Incredibly strong and running away. I like her," The Doctor says.

Jane smiled slightly at this. Her father had no idea, absolutely none.

"What is this girl?" Jack wondered.

"She's clearly not human. No human girl could force her out of that suit," Martha pointed out.

"What if the Silence did something to her?" Donna asked and they looked at her in surprise. "They made a spacesuit a weapon, could they experimented on the girl to make her like that?"

"It's possible," Jack mused as he gave it a moment of thought. "But why? What could justify this?"

Jane remained silent. It would do no good to tell them to be patient, considering how frustrated they were getting. They would just have to see for themselves.

River argues they should be trying to find her and The Doctor asks her how. The Doctor then says he has a feeling she's going to find them. The Doctor looks back to the news report as Rory wonders why it looks like a NASA spacesuit. "Because that's what the Silence does," The Doctor realizes. "Think about it. They don't make anything themselves, they get other life forms to do it for them." River calls them parasites and The Doctor corrects her, saying they're super parasites. "Standing in the shadows of human history since the beginning. We know they can influence human behavior any way they want. If they've been doing that on a global scale for thousands of years…" The Doctor trails off. "Then what?" Rory asks. "Then why did the human race suddenly decide to go to the moon?" The Doctor asks. They all turn to watch the launch as The Doctor explains the Silence needed a spacesuit.

"Bloody Hell," Mickey breathed as the realization hit them all.

"They've been playing us, since all the way back then," Jack almost sneered, feeling insulted as he remembered working with NASA and Torchwood on the space program.

"Probably even longer," Martha muttered, wondering how much of humanity's achievements were the result of the Silence playing with them.

"This is a bloody nightmare," Donna grumbled.

At Area 51, Dr. Shepherd stares at the Silence in shock and horror, asking what it is. Canton tells him it's an alien and Shepherd notes someone's already been treating it. But Canton tells Shepherd he's been the one treating it. Shepherd asks if Colonel Jefferson knows the Silence is here and Canton says no. Shepherd says he's going to tell him. "Again?" Canton asks as Shepherd stands up, looking away from the Silence and forgetting what they were talking about.

"So Canton went back to Area 51 to get treatment for the Silence," Wilf mused.

"Probably following The Doctor's orders. It's more his style than Canton's," Jack pointed out.

"But why now? They could've used it to get information on Amy. Why have it treated now?" Mickey wondered.

"For Dad's plan," Jane said, smiling slightly. "Just keep watching guys. Enjoy the show."

Shepherd walks out and the Silence calls Canton foolish for tending to his wounds. Canton asks why as he uses Amy's phone to record the Silence. He asks what the Silence would do in his place. "We have ruled your lives since your lives began. You should kill us all on sight, but you will never remember we were ever here. Your will is ours," the Silence taunts. "Well, sorry to disappoint you, but thanks. It's exactly what I needed to hear," Canton says before explaining the phone is a video phone. The Doctor then receives the video from Canton on a scanner. He smiles as Rory hears Amy sobbing on the recorder.

"Have the feeling that was exactly what The Doctor wanted," Martha said dryly.

"But why? To what end?" Wilf muttered.

"I think I have an idea. And if I'm right, than the Silence has just given The Doctor exactly what he needs to send them all running," Jack said as he began to smirk. "Their hubris might have just done them in."

River scans the spacesuit and is surprised when it the arm twitches. River realizes the suit is repairing itself and wonders how that is possible. Rory sits down as River asks The Doctor if the suit could move without an occupant. The Doctor asks why and River points out the girl said the spaceman was coming to eat her, proposing that the spaceman was the suit.

"So the suit can also be remote control and force someone into it," Jack mused. "Donna, you might be right. It is an Iron Man suit."

"So whoever killed The Doctor might not have had a choice," Wilf realized.

"It's possible Wilf. But we don't know enough just yet to say that for certain," Martha told him gently.

"I love you," Amy says and Rory looks up sharply. "I know you think it's him. I know you think it ought to be him. But it's not, it's you. And when I see you again, I'm gonna tell you properly, just to see your stupid face. My life was so boring before you dropped out of the sky." Rory lowers his head and The Doctor sits down beside him. "So just get your stupid face where I can see it? Okay?"

"When she puts it like that, it really does sound like she's talking about Dad," Jane mused, cutting through the silence that had descended on the room.

"You mean she's not?" Mickey asked surprised and Jane laughed at him.

"No. Like I told you, she's not Rose who allowed The Doctor to eclipse everything else important in her life. She just has trouble with words," Jane mused.

"Rory won't know that though," Wilf muttered, feeling sad for him.

"He will though. Amy makes it beyond clear," Jane promised, thinking of Manhattan, positively for once. "More than once."

The Doctor assures Rory Amy is safe, as a dead hostage is pointless. Rory asks if The Doctor can save her and The Doctor says he can trace the recorder signal to Amy. Rory demands to know why he hasn't. "And then what? I find her and then what do I do? This isn't an alien invasion, they live here. This is their empire. This is kicking the Romans out of Rome," The Doctor points out. Rory points out Rome fell and The Doctor notes he was there. "So was I," Rory says as he looks away from The Doctor. The Doctor says he has a personal question, asking if Rory remembers the 2,000 years as the Last Centurion. Rory says no and The Doctor asks if he's lying. "Of course I'm lying," Rory says. The Doctor notes it's not the kind of thing anyone forgets and Rory admits he doesn't remember it all the time. "It's like there's a door in my head. I keep it shut," Rory says as they hear Amy sobbing.

"All those years he spent waiting for Amy, how did he not go mad?" Mickey muttered.

"I've only lived a few centuries and it's still almost too much for me," Jack admitted, wondering how Rory managed it.

"I imagine being an Auton had something to do with it. Now he just locks it away, letting it out when he needs it," Jane said, thinking of when Amy had been taken. "You don't wanna see him do that."

"But we will, right?" Donna asked and Jane smiled tightly once more.

"Spoilers."

Amy pleads for them to come get her and The Doctor gets to his feet. The scene then flashes to the Oval Office where Nixon and his staff watching a report on the launch. It then changes to a bar, where a group of men were watching the same thing. Amy comes to in a dark room, finding herself strapped to a chair of some kind. As her vision clears, it's revealed to be another ship like the one above Craig's flat. Seeing various Silence around her, Amy asks where she is. "You are Amelia Pond," one of them says. "You're ugly. Has anyone mentioned that to you?" Amy asks.

"Not the time Amy," Donna muttered, worried she might egg them on.

"We do you honor. You will bring the Silence. But your part will soon be over," the Silence declares. Amy says they've made a big mistake bringing here there, taunting them about 'what's coming for you now'. But the Silence reveals she's been there for many days. Amy is shocked, believing she just got there but the Silence says she's been there many days. "You will sleep now," it says as it moves towards her.

"If you have a plan, now's the time to pull it off Spaceman!" Donna shouted as the past viewers stared, worried about Amy.

Amy tells it to get away as it leans over her before the TARDIS materializes behind the Silence. The Silence all turn towards it as The Doctor walks out, followed by River and Rory. Amy smiles in relief as The Doctor looks around, noting he's seen one of these before. "Abandoned. Wonder how that happened?" The Doctor muses. "Oh well. I suppose I'm about to find out." The Doctor turns to River and Rory, telling them to keep a Silence in eyeshot at all times. The Doctor then picks up a television, cheerily greeting the Silence as he walks over to the console in the center of the room, putting the television on top of it. The Silence move towards The Doctor but he warns them to stay where they are. River approaches, training her gun on the Silence as The Doctor turns around, pointing out he's confident. "You want to watch that, me, when I'm confident," The Doctor warns them. "Oh, and this is my friend River. Nice hair, clever, has her own gun, and unlike me, she really doesn't mind shooting people. I shouldn't like that but I kind of do a bit." "Thank you Sweetie," she says.

"Well, if there was ever any doubt he was going to marry her, that destroyed it. She manages to turn him on by shooting people," Jack said amused.

"Did not need that image in my head Jack," Martha said as she and Donna grimaced.

"What do you think he's going to do?" Wilf wondered.

"Knowing Boss, something no one else would ever think of," Mickey said and no one else disagreed.

The Doctor points out River will kill at least the first three Silences and River corrects him, saying that's it will be the first seven. The Doctor is surprised by this. "Eight for you," River says and they begin to flirt.

"Spaceman," Donna grumbled, face planning.

"He must be really comfortable with her if he can flirt while surrounded by enemies," Jack noted and Jane smiled.

"That's Dad and River," Jane smiled.

"Why could River have not come along sooner?" Jack mused disappointed.

"Not sure it would have been a good fit with Dad's last regeneration," Jane shrugged.

"Maybe not," Jack acknowledged, remembering The Doctor's near obsession with Rose.

"It this really important, flirting? Because I feel like I should be really high on the list right now," Amy interrupts. The Doctor puts his focus back on the Silence, beginning to stall them; pointing out how many River will kill as Rory sneaks behind them, beginning to untie Amy. Amy asks what The Doctor has planned. "Something, I hope," Rory says. The Doctor declares that all he really wants is the total surrender of the Silence and he'll let them go. "You've been interfering in human history for thousands of years, yes. People have died, yes. But what's the point in having two hearts if you can't be a little forgiving now and then?" The Doctor asks as he stops in front of a Silence. It doesn't say anything and The Doctor admits he was lying.

"Even Boss's forgiveness has it limits," Mickey noted.

"He gives people second chances, but he's not an idiot," Jack agreed, wondering if he was right about The Doctor's plan.

The Doctor says he's not going to let them go, turning the television on before turning back to the Silence, demanding to know about the little girl. It snarls at him as the television shows a report on Apollo 11. The Doctor declares the Silence are out of time. The Doctor walks over to the television, beginning to adjust the antennas as he asks if they're proud. "Because you helped. Now, do you know how many people are watching this live on the telly? Half a billion, and that's nothing, because the human race will spread out among the stars, you just watch them fly. Billions and billions of them, for billions and billions of years. And every one of them, at some point in their lives, will look back at this man taking this very first step," The Doctor says, pointing to the television showing Neil Armstrong on the moon. "And they will never, ever forget it." They all watch the news report before The Doctor pulls out his phone. "Oh. But they'll forget this bit," he saws before putting it to his ear. "Ready?" "Ready," Canton says on the other end. Canton pushes a button and a device The Doctor put on Apollo 11 earlier activates. The news broadcast is interrupted by footage from Amy's phone, the Silence declaring humans should kill them all on sight. It's shown all around America. "You've given the order for your own execution, and the whole planet just heard you," The Doctor says before the broadcast returns to showing Apollo 11 on the moon.

"You bloody genius you!" Donna exclaimed as they all realized The Doctor's plan.

"He used the broadcast from Apollo 11 with the video Canton took on Amy's phone to plant a post hypnotic suggestion in the mind of every human in the world," Jack said with a smirk.

"He used their own abilities against them. Doctor, you really are amazing," Martha said with a smile.

"Humanity will be ready to fight them off for centuries. The Silence will have no choice but to run," Jack said smugly. "They won't be playing God anymore."

The Silence snarls at The Doctor as he declares they just raised an army against themselves. In the bar, the men are shown getting up to face a Silence as in the Oval Office, a Secret Service Agent pulls out a gun, looking towards Silence that is standing just outside the room. "And now, for thousands of years, you're going to be ordering them to destroy you every day," The Doctor says. "How fast can you run? 'Cause today's the day the human race throw you off their planet. They won't even know they're doing it. I think, right now, the word you're looking for is 'oops'. Run! Guys, I mean us. Run!" The Doctor shouts as the Silence snarl, various streams of electricity around them. River begins firing at the Silence as Rory frantically tries to free Amy. As The Doctor uses his screwdriver, Rory shouts that he can't get Amy out. Amy tells Rory to go but he refuses to leave her. "Just get your stupid face out of here!" Amy snaps and Rory looks up at her stunned.

"Well that's one way to clear up the confusion," Mickey noted.

"But hardly a good time for Rory to get distracted," Martha said as they noticed Rory merely staring at Amy.

River shouts to get into the TARDIS and The Doctor quickly runs over, using his screwdriver to free Amy before running back to River. As River uses her gun and The Doctor uses his screwdriver, Rory grabs Amy and runs towards the TARDIS. The Doctor shouts to River not to let the Silence build to full power and she says she knows. "There's a reason why I'm shooting Honey!" she says. River asks what he's doing as they stand back to back and he saws helping. "You've got a screwdriver! Go build a cabinet!" River snaps. The Doctor says that's rude and she tells him to shut up and drive. The Doctor runs towards the TARDIS, using his screwdriver one last time before heading inside. River then whirls around, shooting various times. All her shots hit their mark, all of the Silence falling back, dead.

"Bloody Hell," Mickey muttered as the past viewers stared at the screen in stunned disbelief.

"She's good, very good," Jack said impressed. "She'd have made a good Torchwood agent."

"If River ever worked for Torchwood, the organization would have been exposed long before Canary Wharf," Jane pointed out and Jack paused.

"Good point," Jack conceded.

River gets to her feet as Rory is seen watching her through the cracked TARDIS doors. She holsters her gun, asking if The Doctor saw that. "He gets ever so cross," she notes. Rory asks what kind of doctor she is and she says archaeology. A Silence sneaks up behind her and she takes out her gun, shooting it without turning around. "Love a tomb," she says before heading inside the TARDIS.

"I think she broke Rory's brain," Mickey joked as he and Jack snickered.

Donna and Martha exchanged an exasperated glance; both agreeing silently that Jack and Mickey's antics were exhausting.

At the console, The Doctor and River bicker about who's flying the TARDIS as Amy watches, amused. Looking over her shoulder, Amy sees Rory watching her and asks what's the matter with him as she walks down the stairs. Rory points out she called him stupid and she says she always calls him stupid. Rory says he meant his face and Amy is confused before she sees his hand clenched around something. Opening it, she sees her recorder and Rory admits he wasn't sure who she walking about. Amy realizes he thought she meant The Doctor and Rory notes she said 'dropped out of the sky'. "It's a figure of speech moron!" Amy snaps before pulling him into a kiss. Amy pulls back and Rory says thanks. "You're welcome," Amy says cheekily before kissing him again.

"Only Amy Pond could turn 'moron' into a term of endearment," Jack said amused.

"Amy and Rory have a very strange, yet loving relationship," Jane said and no one could disagree.

"Feels like the best way to describe it," Martha agreed.

At the Oval Office the next day, Nixon thanks The Doctor for making them safe again. The Doctor tells him there are a billion other things out there that threaten the world, stunning Nixon. The Doctor then wishes Canton farewell before telling Nixon Canton wants to get married. Nixon says something can be arranged and The Doctor says he's counting on it. Nixon stops The Doctor before he leaves; revealing Canton had told him The Doctor is from the future. The Doctor warns him he doesn't answer a lot of questions and Nixon notes he's a President at the beginning of his time. "Dare I ask? Will I be remembered?" Nixon asks.

"Oh trust me, we remember you," Martha deadpanned.

"He may be the most infamous, but he's hardly the worst President of America," Jack shrugged.

"Maybe," Martha conceded.

The Doctor promises that they will never forget Nixon, telling Nixon to say hi to David Frost for him. Nixon is confused as The Doctor heads into the TARDIS with his companions. The TARDIS begins taking off as Nixon asks if the person Canton wants to marry is black. Canton says yes. "I know what people think of me, but perhaps I'm a little more liberal-" "He is," Canton cuts off Nixon. Nixon then says the moon is far enough for now and Canton says he figured.

"Looks like you were right Jack," Donna noted and Jack shrugged.

"Lived through this era, traveled to America on Torchwood business. Gives me a bit of an edge there," Jack noted.

The scene changes to Stormcage. River and The Doctor are standing outside River's cell, The Doctor offering to take River with him. River notes she escapes often enough. She thanks him, but say she has a promise to live up to, assuring The Doctor he'll understand soon enough. The Doctor begins heading back to the TARDIS, telling her he'll see her next time and to call him. "What, that's it?" River asks and he pauses. "What's the matter with you?" The Doctor walks back over to her, asking if he's forgotten something. "Oh, shut up," River says before pulling the surprised Doctor into a kiss.

"Well I don't think Boss was expecting that," Mickey said amused.

"River is the only woman would can take him by surprise like that," Jane said with a laugh.

Although surprised, The Doctor does return her kiss. They pull back and The Doctor calls that interesting. Seeing his face, River asks what's wrong, saying he's acting like they've never done that before. The Doctor says they haven't and River's face falls. The Doctor then checks his watch, saying he has to be off but tells her the kiss was 'very nice'.

"Oh Spaceman," Donna groaned as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

"I don't get it," Mickey said as he and Wilf looked confused.

"Telling a girl a kiss was 'nice' is like telling her that you'll call her tomorrow," Jack explained and they understood.

"Oh Boss. How can you be so clueless?" Mickey wondered.

"He's The Doctor," Martha sighed.

As The Doctor backs towards the TARDIS, he tells River the kiss was good but unexpected. Before he heads into the TARDIS, The Doctor pauses, telling River's there a first time for everything before heading inside. "And a last time," River says, a devastated look on her face.

"So this was…" Donna trailed off as the realization hit them.

"No. They saw each other a few times before the Library," Jane quickly assured her. "For once, River was wrong."

As the TARDIS begins to take off, The Doctor sends Rory to get some thermal couplings. Once Rory is gone, The Doctor asks if Amy is okay. She says she is, although her head is 'a bit weird', as she's having trouble remembering certain things. She has a flashback of finding the picture of herself in the orphanage and of seeing the girl.

Jack frowned, still confused as to why the girl had a picture of Amy. A new mystery it seemed.

The Doctor assures her this is just an after-effect of the Silence but clarifies he was talking about her thinking she was pregnant. He asks her why and Amy says because she thought she was but he clarifies, asking why she told him. Amy says because he's her best friend. The Doctor asks if she told Rory and Amy looks away. Further into the TARDIS, Rory listens on Amy's recorder as she tells him she didn't tell Rory. The Doctor asks why she told him but not Rory. "Why do you think? I traveled with you in this TARDIS for so long. All that time. If I was pregnant for some of it, wouldn't it have had an effect? I don't want to tell Rory his baby might have three heads or a time head or something," Amy says as Rory listens.

Jane grimaced. Amy was right about it having an effect. And it had changed everything.

"She's right to worry. The Time Lords came into existence from prolonged exposure to the Time Vortex," Jack said with a frown.

"So it is possible for traveling on the TARDIS to have an effect on pregnancy?" Martha asked in surprise and Jack nodded.

"Yeah. Best to practice celibacy on the TARDIS," Jack said, not seeing Jane's grim look.

Rory sighs as The Doctor asks Amy what a time head is and Amy says she doesn't know but worries her child might have had one. They begin laughing as Rory sighs in relief. "Oi, Stupid Face!" Amy calls and Rory freezes.

"Busted," Mickey snickered.

Rory awkwardly walks into view and The Doctor waves as Amy tells him she'll take the recorder away if he's going to listen in all the time. Rory walks up to the console, saying it's a fair point but points out she should have told him she thought she was pregnant. "I'm a nurse, I'm good with pregnancy." "Not, as it turns out, that good," Amy laughs as she walks over to him and places her arms around her neck. "So can you stop being stupid?" Rory hugs her, joking how he'll never stop being stupid and Amy laughs.

"Strange but loving. Accurate description," Jack told Jane, who managed a smile.

The Doctor walks back over to the scanner, saying they could go find the little girl or they could go off and have adventures, asking Amy and Rory if they're in the mood for adventures as he is, as they only live once. The Doctor smiles at them as he looks at the screen. It's revealed he's doing a scan of Amy to determine if she's pregnant. The scan says positive and negative at the same time and The Doctor frowns.

"Huh?" Mickey asked as the past viewers stared at the screen in bewilderment.

"What…how?" Martha trailed off, uncertain about what she was seeing.

"How can it read positive and negative at the same time?" Donna was able to put it into words.

"Spoilers," Jane said and the tone in which she said it made their blood run cold.

Jack stared at the screen uneasily, sensing something terrible was going on. They just didn't know what yet.

The scene then changes to the streets. The words 'New York-6 months later' are seen. A homeless man is putting things into a cart when he hears a cough. Turning around, he sees the girl from the spacesuit, coughing as she walks towards him, now dressed in rags.

"With the Silence gone, she must have been abandoned," Donna said, worrying for the girl. "Living on the streets."

"Well the Silence weren't very nurturing, were they?" Mickey asked darkly.

"Still, the girl was so important. Why leave here there?" Jack wondered, feeling he was missing something important.

The homeless man asks if she's okay and she say it's alright. She says she's dying but she can fix that. "It's easy really. See?" the girl asks as she holds out her hands. Her hands begin to glow with regeneration energy.

"Am-am I seeing things or is she…" Mickey trailed off as the past viewers stared at the screen in shock.

"Regeneration Energy," Jack muttered.

"She's a bloody Time Lord!?" Donna exclaimed in disbelief.

"Yes and no," Jane said and they looked at her in bewilderment. "It's a complicated story that would take hours to explain. And you're going to find out eventually, so just watch."

"This is getting more and more confusing all the time," Martha muttered.

"You're telling me," Jack said dryly.

The homeless man runs away in fear as the girl smiles. The girl spreads her limps out as she begins to Regenerate before the screen goes black.

"Well that was…something," Martha said lamely.

"I know it's confusing, but it'll all but make sense later," Jane said, seeing to check the time on her watch. "It's getting late, so one more then dinner and call it a day?"

"Sounds fine to me," Donna said as they realized how tired they all were.

Jane nodded, waiting to see if anyone had any objections. When there were none, she leaned back in her seat as the next recording started.

And an amazing follow-up to the first half of the premiere. While An Impossible Astronaut set up the tone of the season, this one set up the plot of the six series perfectly and was filled with enough character moments to be emotionally satisfying as well.
