DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN BEN 10 OR MARVEL. GOTTA MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS CLEAR ON THAT.

Hey, I am back. Been a while, but I am here with a new chapter.

This ones a new one for me as I decided to go really obscure into the Marvel vault. This character has a lot of untapped potential and I feel that he deserves a chance to really shine.

Enough talk, on with the show.

Crystar the Crystal Warrior #1

In the vast cosmos of the universe many stars and planets all float in the void and are observed each and every night by the people of Earth as they gaze up at the twinkling lights.

But some planets are too far for even the most advanced telescopes to see.

Such is the case for the Planet Crystalium. A small Earth-like planet that lies on the far end of the universe, in a tiny obscure section of space that very few have ever laid eyes on.

On this planet, the forces of Order and Chaos are locked in an epic struggle to decide the fate of the planet.

In the flaming, volcanic landscapes, a large army of humanoid beings, stood in mass, facing towards a cliff face on the far end. Each of these humanoids looked like they were made of molten rock, the air rippled from the heat they generated, and their eyes glowed from intense heat.

These Magma-Men all faced towards the cliff platform, all raising weapons, seemingly made of the same molten rock as they are as they chanted in unison.

"MOLTAR! MOLTAR! MOLTAR!"

Upon the top of cliff, stood a being, very similar to his magma brethren, only he was larger and running up his arms and the top of his head, where a series of humps that looked like mini volcanoes that ran along his body. A pair of weapons were strapped to his back, a double-bladed axe and a mace, respectively.

This is Moltar, ruler of the Magma-Men and the champion of Chaos.

Moltar raised his arms to the chanting horde as their cheers erupted in a chorus that shook the heavens above.

"My Magma-Men! Today, our victory is at hand!" Moltar roared to his followers as they shook the ground with their stomping feet and beating weapons.

"Our great destiny. That was promised to us, all those years ago, will finally be realised!" Moltar announced as he gestured behind him.

Out from the cave, a couple of figures emerged. The first is a woman, composed of magma like the others. Only she is slender, curvy and smooth. Leaving very little to the imagination. Like the lava had been painted onto her body and had not cooled or hardened.

Beside her is a large dragon-like creature, with the same magma composition as Moltar and his followers. This Lava-Dragon had six legs and two large wings that situated themselves between the front two legs and the rear four. It had a long serpent like neck with equally long, whip-like tail.

The magma beast had a harness strapped to it as it dragged a platform behind it. This platform had a single, crystal post on it with a young woman tied to it.

She looked human, with pale white skin, long golden hair and wearing an attire that seemed to resemble those worn by nobility during the Medieval Age on Earth.

Moltar grinned as he embraced the Magma-Woman in his strapping arms.

"Lavour, my love. You have done well." Moltar complimented his beloved.

Lavour giggled sinisterly as she glanced back at her hostage. "Capturing my old handmaiden was an easy task. I would have preferred a challenge."

"A gift, I cannot promise, my dear. For now, that we have the lovely Ambara. The champions of Order will fall." Moltar stated as he and Lavour walked over to the captured woman, hand in hand.

The woman whom Moltar identified as Ambara struggled in her bonds. But the crystal cuffs, made her efforts futile as Moltar grabbed one of the hilts on his back, drew his axe blade and held it close to her neck.

"Now, fair Ambara. With you as my hostage. My brother will have no choice but to stand down and accept my rule." The Magma-Man boasted.

Ambara scoffed at his claim as she locked eyes with him. Sweat poured from her brow, due to the heat emanating from his body, but her gaze remained strong. "Never. He will never surrender to you. Just you wait, He will come for me. And you will pay for your treachery."

Moltar and his followers all belted with laughter at the frail woman's claims.

"The heat must have finally gotten to that fragile head of yours, my dear." Moltar said in a patronising tone. "My guards are posted on every entrance, and I have patrols constantly surveying the grounds. Even with the full might of his forces, my brother would never be able to get close to us before my armies move to engage him. I assure you, nothing will get close to us without my knowledge."

"MOLTAR!"

No sooner had the Magma-Man finished his boast, a great battle cry erupted from the skies above them.

Looking up, Moltar and Lavour's jaws dropped in shock as slicing through the clouds, appeared a crystal dragon-like creature. Similar to Moltars own draconian beast, this dragon had the same serpent-like appearance. However, this creature only had four legs, two wings and appeared to be comprised of diamond-like crystal.

The crystal beast roared as it swooped down from the sky. Trailing behind the beast, is a crystal chariot, attached to the beast with a harness.

Riding in the chariot, stood a humanoid being. His body, made of the same crystal as his steed, his eyes were blue, like sapphires and he wore a ruby red crown/headpiece, with wing like patterns on either side of his head and a diamond like pattern in the centre of his brow.

He wore ruby red gloves, boots and short trunks, with a red belt, sporting a white diamond symbol on the buckle.

In his right hand, he wielded a gleaming longsword and on his left arm is a round light blue shield. His left hand held the reins as he guided his dragon towards his foe.

He is Crystar: The Crystal Warrior.

Crystar guided his chariot towards Moltar. As the chariot neared the cliff face, Crystar leaped off the cart and landed on the platform.

The Crystal Warrior stood tall as he raised his mighty sword and shield.

"Your treacherous tyranny is at an end, Moltar." Crystar announced, heroically. "Release Ambara or face the sting of my sword's justice!"

Moltar and Lavour both gritted their teeth at the sight of Crystar. Their blood literally boiling from their rage.

"This is impossible!" Moltar hissed. "How did you get past my guard unnoticed?"

Crystar grinned cockily as he pointed to tip of his sword at his foe. "You were a fool to think that your magma-men would be able to impede my advance."

"But, how could you have defeated them and stopped them from sounding the alarm all on your own?" Moltar questioned, still flabbergasted by Crystars arrival.

The Crystal Warrior chuckled once again as he casually swung his sword in a flamboyant display.

"Dear brother. Your misplaced faith in Chaos has rotted your mind." Crystar said insultingly. "Who ever said I was alone?"

With that, the sound of chains, clanging against the ground drew the attention of Moltar and his lover. The pair turned around to see Ambara, freed from her bonds, by a mysterious invisible force.

Suddenly, the air shimmered and the blue, cloaked form of Big Chill appeared.

The Icey Alien grinned in a cheeky fashion as he waved at the pair.

"Hate to interrupt the family reunion. But things were getting heated between you two. So, I thought I would cool things down." The Alien Teen said, giggling at his pun.

Moltar and Lavour glared at the Alien Shapeshifter with rage. Lavour reached to her hip and drew a long whip, that crackled like hot coals. She snapped the whip and sparks flashed while also leaving a white-hot scar in the ground where it struck.

"I will mount your head as a trophy, Changeling." She hissed at him.

Big Chill smirked at her threat. "Bringing out the whip? For the record my safe word is Apples."

"Don't let them escape!" Moltar ordered. He then drew his mace from his back and turned back to Crystar. He charged his estranged brother.

The Crystal Warrior ran to meet the Molten-Man as their weapons clashed, sending sparks flying as crystal sword collided with lava axe.

Whilst the brothers had their family dispute, Lavour charged straight for Big Chill. He let out a battle cry and cracked her whip in his direction.

The Alien Teen responded by going intangible, allowing the scorching weapon to pass right through him. The whips cord hissed as steam fizzled off it due to passing through the Moth Aliens chilling aura.

The Alien Avenger gave the Flaming Fem Fatal a cocky grin as she responded with a spear like glare.

She sent her whip at him again. No surprise, the weapon passed through Big Chill, like he was air, and a loud crack is heard behind him.

But what followed was a shriek that drew his attention. Turning around he winced as he saw Ambara jumping out of the way of the whip as it scared the wall, where she had once been.

Big Chill silently berated himself for forgetting to prioritise her safety. He managed to turn back to Lavour in time to see her actively targeting the innocent woman with her weapon this time.

He quickly turned himself tangible and moved to intercept. The blazing cord stuck out and Big Chill raised his arm to block. The whip wrapped itself around the Aliens forearm and went taught.

Lavour grinned as she'd finally hit her opponent. But her smile quickly faded when she noticed that the Teen Hero had not reaction whatsoever. Save for the Crystal Warriors, anyone hit by or bound by her whip would normally be in agonising pain as the searing heat would melt the flesh from their bones and burn them to a crisp.

But Big Chill had no such reaction. In fact, he showed no signs of being in pain at all, even his arm, which would normally be smoking or being sliced off from the heat, was completely fine.

"Confused? Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Guy with ice powers, must be weak to fire and heat, right?" Big Chill asked rhetorically. "See, thing is. Big Chills species can survive in extreme cold AND extreme heat. So, your little toy is useless against me."

Lavour's lips curled back in a scowl upon hearing his explanation. But that scowl turned into a smirk as a quick flick of her wrist, untangled the whip from Big Chills arm and returned to her.

"You may not feel the heat. But she does." Lavour said, gesturing to Ambara behind the Alien Teen. "And I doubt you'll be able to keep her safe and fight at the same time.'

"Please. I've taken on way tougher guys than you." Big Chill boasted.

Lavour evilly grinned. "Perhaps. But what about them?"

She pointed behind her and Big Chill followed her gaze and saw what she meant. He'd completely forgotten about the army of Magma-Men still swarming the courtyard. Every single one of those warriors were heading towards them.

The Alien Teens eyes widened. His mind started to overload with multiple scenarios that played in his head. He quickly assessed the current situation. Crystar is still locked in his one-on-one fight with Moltar and he is devoting his efforts to protecting Ambara from Lavour's attacks.

Lavour then placed two of her fingers into her mouth and blew out a high-pitched whistle. A roar quickly followed, and the Magma-Dragon started stalking its way to Lavour's side.

"Oh great. Fido's come to play." Big Chill said sarcastically.

The dragon snarled at the Alien. Big Chill sighed as things just kept getting complicated. But, seeing the Dragon enter the fray, gave the Alien Hero an idea. Inhaling deeply, he blasted his ice breath from his mouth. The freezing vapour made contact with the Lava beings and immediately turned into steam, blinding them with a thick fog.

The Alien Teen then swivelled around and unfolded his wings and flew towards Ambara, scooping her up in his arms and taking off into the sky.

He wasn't concerned about the enemies behind him. His eyes were locked on the skies above as he searched for a sign. Any sign.

A brief flicker of light caught his eye and Big Chill quickly veered in the direction of that flicker as he held Ambara closely.

"We can't leave Crystar, back there alone!" Ambara yelled over the roaring winds as Big Chill picked up speed.

"Trust me. I am not leaving him alone." Big Chill assured her. "But he would never forgive me if I didn't get you to safety first."

A roar broke his train of thought at he glanced behind him and saw the Lava-Dragon in hot pursuit, with Lavour riding on its back. She cracked her whip on the creature's side forcing it to fly faster.

Big Chill beat his wings with all his might as he put on more speed. He then narrowed his mouth and blew a loud, high-pitched whistle of his own.

An animalistic shriek responded to Big Chills call as the Crystal-Dragon reappeared in the sky. The chariot trailing behind it.

Big Chill swiftly caught up to the chariot and dropped Ambara inside it. The woman quickly grabbed into the side of the sled to stabilise herself. The Alien Teen flew past her and up to the dragon's head. The Crystal Creature looked at the Alien Teen with its sapphire eyes and the Moth-Alien smiles. The creature seemed to be happy at the sight of the alien as it purred and leaned its head closer to nuzzle him.

"Easy, girl. Now's not the time." Big Chill said as he patted the Crystal-Dragon. "You gotta look after Ambara for me. Ok?"

The Dragon seemed to understand as it chirped in response. Big Chill smiled in satisfaction as he turned his wings up. Catching the wing like a parachute as his fell backwards towards Lavour and her pet.

The Villainess and steed ignored him as they pursued their former hostage. That quickly proved to be a mistake as Big Chill dived from the sky above them and tackled the Lava-Beast hard, knocking it off course. He then unleashed as much cryo-energy from his body as he could to cover the beasts hide in ice faster than it could evaporate off.

The added weight to the creatures' wings, caused it to plummet from the sky. Desperately thrashing and roaring trying to get him off. Even Lavour tried to reach and pry the alien off. But the G-Forces generated from the free fall spinning, made it impossible for her to reach him. It took all her strength to simply hold on and not get thrown off the Lava-Dragon.

Eventually, they arrived at ground level. Very hard to say the least. The impact flung Lavour clear in one direction and Big Chill in the other. The Dragon collapsed a stone pathway on the side of the mountain it landed on, breaking away a large chunk of the cliff and creating a massive landside that ended up burring it when it finally reached to bottom.

When the world finally stopped spinning for the Young Hero, Big Chill got to his feet and reclaimed his bearings. The chorus of chanting's got the teen to look down and see the collapsed pathway the dragon had destroyed accidently cut off the Magma army from advancing. At least temporarily, seemed the Magma-Men were already melting the rock next to them to restore the path.

"Well now that won't do." Big Chill commented as he tapped the Ultimatrix dial.

"ARMODRILLO!"

The Yellow-armored alien quickly got to work and pumped the jackhammers on his arms and slammed them into the mountain. Generating a massive earthquake that shook apart massive chunks of the mountain that sent them tumbling down into the Magma-men hoard.

Armodrillo made sure he controlled his power output so that the landslide would not be severe enough to kill or severely injure the Lava beings. Just enough to bury them and force them down to the bottom of the chasm.

Even if they were followers of Chaos and were at war. These were still citizens of Crystar's planet and technically his people, when he finally reclaims the throne of his kingdom. So, the Hero from Beyond the Stars is doing his best not to interfere too much with this planets conflicts. On top of that, he is a hero, not a soldier.

While he kept the armies of fire and brimstone at bay, Crystar continued his battle with Moltar. His crystal sword clashed against Moltars magma axe as sparks flew across their field of vision as they locked eyes with each other.

"This has gone too far, Brother." Crystar said to his foe.

"Not far enough. How can you not see that Chaos is the better path?" Moltar argued as he swung his mace, only for Crystar to duck under it and strike out with his sword, chipping of a piece of Moltars rock like arm.

"You're blind, Moltar. You have been manipulated. Please, turn away from this madness and come back. We can rule together. A new age of peace and Order, like our father did." Crystar pleaded.

But Moltar is unconvinced as he rammed his shoulder into Crystar's chest and swung his mace with enough force to knock the shield from Crystar's arm.

Deprived of his main defence, Crystar brought his left hand to his swords hilt and gripped it tight with both hands.

Moltar grinned as he raised both of his weapons. "See brother. Order is weak. The power that turned you into this, is nothing compared to the power I wield."

"It may seem that way." Crystar responded as he raised his sword. "Chaos may grant great power. But it is wild, unfiltered and unruly."

Moltar snarled as he charged and swung his axe, then his mace. Crystar parried the axe and dodged the mace. He proceeded to swipe Moltar's leg with the flat side of his sword. Causing Moltar to stumble, but a final strike from Crystar's crystal fist sent Moltar crashing to the ground.

The Magma-Man rolled over to his back only to have the tip of Crystar's sword at his throat.

"All that uncontrollable power and rage. Consumes you and leaves you unfocused." Crystar stated as he stood over his fallen brother. "It will corrupt you and take everything. Please. It is not too late."

Moltar grunted as he glares up at Crystar. "This… Has set me free!"

In one swift motion Moltar grabbed his mace, clubbed Crystar's sword away and cracked him in the knee.

Crystar screamed in pain as he shifted his weight onto his good knee, leaving him open for Moltar to strike him again, knocking him over the edge. Crystar only just managed to grab a hold of the ledge and keep him from falling over.

The Crystal Warrior groaned as he held on for dear life. The shadow of his brother passed over him as Crystar looked up to see Moltar looking down at him. His axe now in hand as he raised it over his head.

With one final act, Crystar gave his brother a pleading look.

Moltar continued to glare. His hand gripping his axe tightly. But as his eyes locked with his. His arm started to shake, and his steely expression wavered. For a brief moment, Crystar could've sworn he saw his brother again.

That moment of hesitation broke when a voice cried out. "Crystar! Heads up!"

Suddenly an emerald crystal sword, imbedded itself in the cliff side right next to Crystar. Both Crystal Warrior and Magma-Man turned to where the voice came from and saw Diamondhead standing below them, having just thrown that sword.

The Alien Avenger assumed his Crystal form to give his ally a hand after holding off the army. He would've gone up and helped himself, but he knew this fight was Crystar's fight, he couldn't fight this for him.

An action the Crystal Warrior was grateful for as he grabbed the hilt of the makeshift sword and used it as leverage to pull himself up, drawing the weapon out of the rock as he did so.

He held his new sword aloft and stared down his opponent. Moltar quickly got over his initial surprise and hardened his expression and readied his weapons.

Both opponents surged forward and clashed with each other. Without his shield, Crystar may have lost his defence, but with both hands on his sword, he now has twice the striking power and also more manoeuvrability as he easily weaved around all of Moltars blows as he struck back with his own strikes and swipes.

Striking over and over again, in rapid, precise and controlled attacked. Like light, through a prism, Crystar's focus was unmatched as in only three more strikes, both Moltar's weapons were knocked from his hands, with Crystar finishing his assault with a swift spin kick to his chest, sending him flying.

He impacted the wall so hard that it cratered, almost like inserting a puzzle piece.

Moltar groaned as he weakly looked up at Crystar. "Well then… Finish it. What are you waiting for?"

Crystar glared at Moltar. Then down at the sword in his hand.

The blade cracked the stone as Crystar dropped it. He clenched his fists as he raised his gaze to Moltar.

"I will not give in, Moltar. And I have not lost faith. I promise you that." Crystar said earnestly.

He walked over and retrieved his sword and shield. Securing both to his belt and back, respectively.

With one final look back at his foe, Crystar bowed his head and raised his hand.

A flash of Green light illuminated from below the ledge and the red, manta alien, Jetray sored over the edge and grabbed Crystar by the arm and lifted him into the sky.

As they flew off into the distance, Moltar wrenched himself free from the rock wall and ran to the edge, just as Lavour re-joined him.

"This is not over, Crystar! Crystalium will be mine! You'll see!" Moltar roared to the sky. His voice echoing across the molten plains as the heroes flew off.

The city of Galax is truly a sight to behold. A glowing beacon of light, ironically on a planet seemingly made of crystals.

And the people certainly know how to celebrate. Upon returning to the city Crystar, Ambara and Ben were all greeted with a hero's welcome. Literally being paraded through the city as the citizens celebrated.

From the look of them, they seemed to look no different from humans. Only they were slightly taller, and their eyes sparked like diamonds in the right light. Not to mention that everything from the architecture to the clothing, all looked like they were pulled from a Renaissance Fair.

Needless to say, Ben has a lot of fun whenever he visits this planet. He felt like he'd walked into one of those cheesy cartoon shows from the 80's. All that was left is someone doing a PSA at the end to teach kids a valuable lesson.

Had it not been for the actual war taking place on this world, Ben would've gone full corny in this situation. Like an actor in a low budget movie that just chews the scenery.

But, this little "vacation" had come to an end. He did what he came here to do. He helped a friend and now it was time to go home.

That is, if the old man remembered how to.

At the altar of this large rectangular glowing crystal. Ben stood before Crystar, his crystal body gleaming in the light, with his armor and weapons freshly polished.

Ambara stood next to him, her skin almost shining as brightly as her lovers as she hugged his arm and beamed.

"Ben Tennyson of Earth. On behalf of all of Crystalium, I thank you. For not only risking your life to save Ambara's, but also my own. You will forever have my thanks and we will always be in your debt." Crystar said loudly as those who had gathered, clapped and cheered for the Hero from Beyond the Stars.

Ben smiled and waved to the crowed. "Thank you, thank you. You're too kind."

"Are you sure there is nothing more we can do for you?" Crystar asked. "You can stay and celebrate with us, for a little longer?"

"Thanks. But I'm good. I got my own world to protect. They're probably falling to pieces without me." Ben replied, humbly.

In all honesty, he was tempted. Basking in the glory, being celebrated for his deeds. But, he knew he couldn't just kick back like this, while his world still needed him. One day, he'd come back and celebrate. But only when all his friends could come as well. If he was gonna celebrate as a hero, then everyone should share that praise.

Crystar seemed to accept that answer as he gestured to a person behind Ben.

From behind the glowing gem, strolled an elderly man with a bald head, long white beard, wearing purple, flowing robes and had pointed ears like an elf.

This is Ogeode, the wizard of Order and mentor to Crystar.

He's like every old wise mentor figure from pop culture rolled into one. Complete with the pour memory usually associated with the elderly.

"So, Pops. You got that spell ready?" Ben asked.

"Of course, my boy." Ogeode replied cheerfully. "This old man, still hasn't lost his touch."

"That's good. Just don't accidently teleport me into a star ok?" Ben quipped.

That got a chuckle from all those present as Ogeode raised his staff and channelled his crystal magic.

"My dear boy. To think, it was a simple accident that brought you into our lives." The Wizard said, reminiscing.

Ben chuckled as he thought back to that day. "Yeah, it was one crazy day. But I'm glad it happened."

"As am I, Dear boy. As am I." Ogeode replied.

With one final wave of his staff, the portal opened as mystical energy flowed around in the vortex. Ben stepped to the edge, paused and took one last look back at his allies.

"Until next time." Ben said as he waved to the Crystal Warriors one last time before entering the portal.

Well this one was a wacky ride. Dipping my toes into this side of Marvel was interesting. Crystar is like the He-Man of the Marvel universe and his entire story is full of 80's cheese and I am all for it. XD

Hope you all enjoyed this little adventure and as a reward for all your patience with me. Next chapter will be going on an adventure with Marvels First Family.

Thats right guys. The Fantastic Four are up next!

Until next time, CaptainRex75 out!
