Hello everyone, I'm back with another chapter surprisingly, I don't have a set schedule for these things, but they might come in less and less depending on how life goes. I'm working hard, trying to save up money so I can go to Driver's school and practice my driving and get my license, then things should start picking from there once I save up a bit for a down payment on the kind of car I want, once that happens, I might be writing a lot less and focusing on making a ton of videos on my youtube channels once I can. I'm honestly very excited that things in life are slowly but surely pulling together for me, I'm ready to get started on my work, in which case, I have a question for you on this chapter, well two questions for ya really.

Question #1: Who is your favorite character from either Harry Potter or The Vampire Diaries and why?

Question #2: Are there any locations that are haunted or abandoned or both in the United States of America that you think I should visit and do a video on?

READ & REVIEW!

Vanessa closed the door after Elijah had left with a slight blush on her face and rolled her eyes when Draco kept snickering at her in amusement. "Are you sure you know what you're doing around these vampires? You know how dangerous they are, including Elijah's infamous brother, Niklaus?" He said to her seriously after his amusement died down. Vanessa hummed as she walked into the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee. "I honestly don't Draco, it's honestly all so confusing. My magic has never reacted as it does to Elijah to anyone else. In my mind, I know he can be dangerous, but hell Draco, who isn't dangerous these days magic or without?" She turned to him with wide green eyes that had him enraptured. "But what I do know is that my heart and soul want to be with Elijah, they agree with my magic even if my mind is unsure. I'm secretly at war with myself on how I should handle it, but I can admit one thing." She paused to stir her coffee after pouring in some milk and sugar. "I'm not handling this in the best way I should." She admitted to him, grateful that he was a wizard who could understand her dilemma.

Draco huffed a little, his silver eyes watching her until he could stand next to her and laid a gentle hand on her right shoulder and looked at her deep in the eyes. "Just know this Potter, if he hurts you, I swear on my magic that I will destroy him and his family or I will die trying or so help me." A shiver went through both of their spines and a bright light shined from his hands Vanessa looked at Draco with shock in her eyes. "But Draco..." She paused, unsure of what to say, she knew how serious it was to create a magical contract, swearing on your magic means you have to go through with it or actually lose your magic and really die from it. There hadn't been a lot of cases on such a thing, but the cases she did read on told her it was not to be taken lightly. Draco gave her a grim smile and shrugged. "I have to repay my debt to you somehow, figured this would have been the best way and who better to swear upon than you Potter?" He told softly that had her eyes tearing up and she gave him a watery smile.

What they both didn't know was that someone had been listening in from the front porch. Stefan looked back towards Elena's place thoughtfully and sighed. He didn't know how to approach this kind of situation, if it was just his brother, it would have been a whole lot simpler, but because she belongs to Elijah, it'd made things a whole lot harder since he can't be killed by a single wooden stake. Not to mention the possible rumors of Niklaus returning to town and coming after Elena for his ritual. He sighed quietly and looked up at the stars. At this point, he would have to kill Vanessa to hopefully get rid of Elijah and his brother all in one go. He hates the thought of having to do that, but in his mind, he believes that there is no other choice. He quickly sped off after that, wanting to leave before he was caught spying.

THE NEXT DAY

Vanessa hummed as she walked through the town and made her way to the Grill, hoping to get a light lunch before her date with Elijah tonight. She breathed in the fresh air and the smell of grilled food and she grinned. She was definitely in the mood for a burger and a salad. Her eyes lit up when she saw Matt behind the bar for his shift. "Hello, Matt, how are you today?" She said softly. "Oh, not much has changed Ves, just working a lot." Vanessa rolled her eyes at the nickname he gave her and sighed. "Still alone eh?" She asked him. He gave her an unsympathetic shrug. "Can't do what I can right now besides work. Got to make sure I can afford everything." He told her. She huffed irritably. "You shouldn't have to do things on your own Matt, you should be living, not surviving." She scolded him and he gave her a grin at her words.

He tapped her on the nose, causing them to wiggle automatically and her face scrunched up, causing him to laugh at her. "And that's why you're my favorite guest Ves, so what can I do for you today?" He asked her. She looked at him hopefully. "Burger and fries?" She asked him and he nodded. "It'll be ready in just a few moments, do you want anything to drink while you wait?" He asked her. "Can I get a chocolate shake please, with a cherry on top?" She requested and Matt nodded and got the shaker. "Coming right up." He said. She waited a few minutes and just looked at the collection of alcohol at the bar thoughtfully. Ever since it's been established that she's Elijah's mate, they haven't exactly spent any time together, always busy with other things like watching out for Elena and Vanessa volunteering to help with the community fundraiser and future Founder's day parade. Not to mention Draco having shown up as well as a lot to handle alone. But she does it anyway with a grain of salt and sighed to herself.

Matt showed up with a big glass of chocolate milkshake, with the requested cherry on top of it as well and a colorful straw. She grinned at him in thanks. "Thank you, Matt, you know I have a thought." She started up the conversation, getting his attention while he refilled the salt and pepper shakers. He looked at her questioningly. "I know it's out of the blue, and you don't know me as well, but what if you came to stay with me? I have plenty of room, and it could you time to save up money outside of school without having to worry about the bills as much, but since you are alone so much, I thought why not?" She asked him, giving her eyes the lightest sparkle to hopefully his response. He looked at her in surprise. "Um, that's honestly so thoughtful of you to ask me, I'll uh...can I think about it?" He asked her quietly. She nodded to him. "Of course, the least I can do is wait for a bit, and give you a couple of days to think of having a roommate again." She told him and he nodded and gave her a grateful smile.

"Thanks, Ves, you're awesome." He praised her, causing her blush to deepen at the attention around the bar when he said the awesome part almost loud enough for others to hear. She still can't handle a whole lot of praise, courtesy of her old family. He walked into the kitchen for a few minutes, causing her mind to wander again when someone slid up to the chair next to her and she looked at the person in curiosity only to notice it was Stefan, causing her to stiffen a bit. "Can I help you, Stefan?" She asked him quietly. He nodded and smiled at Matt when he approached them with her food. "Scotch, neet please?" He asked him and Matt nodded with a frown.

Stefan refused to talk until after he had taken a sip of the scotch that Matt handed to him before he turned to give Vanessa a sharp look. "I need you to leave town." He said, causing her to look at him with surprise. "What why?" She asked him, stuttering a little. He leaned up a bit so he towered over her after he chugged down the glass. "Because you bring trouble in this town, bring trouble to Elena and that is something I don't appreciate, so I demand that you leave." The or else was left unsaid and she continued to look at him, shaken but steeled herself and glared at him. "I'm not going anywhere Stefan and if you so much as lift a finger in my direction, you will burn." She said with a slight hiss in the end and he nodded stiffly. "I gave you a chance Vanessa, just remember that." He told her quietly and left the bar after he tipped Matt for the drink.

He left the grill after that encounter. Vanessa fumed a bit to herself and turned to Matt to apologize. "I am so sorry you had to see that Matt, but just in case, can you get me a to-go box so I can take my food home with me?" She asked him quietly. Matt nodded and handed her a box. "Do you want me to take you home, and make sure Stefan doesn't bother you again?" He asked her. Vanessa shook her head and gave him a tight smile. "Don't worry about me, I'm a big girl with a few tricks up my sleeve. Thank you though, Matt, I'll see you later." She told him and walked out of the bar. Matt watched her go with a frown on his face.

He told his boss that he was going to take a break for a minute and grabbed his phone, dialing Elena's number. "Hello?" She spoke on the other end. "You wanna tell me why exactly your boyfriend is out here threatening people to leave town?" He said with a certain tone. Elena stuttered a bit, surprised at what he said. "Stefan? Wha...Matt, what are you talking about?" She asked him harshly. "You know exactly what I mean, he threatened Vanessa to leave town, she was just minding her own business. If I were you, I'd get Damon to tone his brother down or we're going to have problems." He told her harshly and hung up on her.

WITH ELENA

Elena looked down at her phone in surprise and looked up to see Jeremy and Jenna looking at her in concern. "Elena, was that Matt?" Jeremy asked her. She nodded. "He said that he saw Stefan threatening Vanessa at the grill to try to get her to leave town." She instantly didn't want to be there when Jenna glared at her and put her hands on her hips. "Vanessa is doing nothing of the sort, and Elena I may not be mom material, but if you don't get control of that young man in some kind of way, he will no longer be allowed in this house. I expected this from Damon, but Stefan? Uh uh, no more Elena." Jenna said, scolding her. Elena huffed and wrapped her arms around her chest. "I don't know what to do Jenna, he's never done this before as far as I know of. I know Damon and her are friends." She told her reluctantly. Jenna just continued to give her a stern look.

"Well if you won't do anything about it, then I know someone who will." She said and pulled out her phone. Elena looked on exasperatedly. "What are you doing aunt Jenna?" She asked her as Jeremy looked on from the couch in the living room. "Someone who will handle the problem." She told her and dialed Damon's number as she walked away from her niece.

There it is everyone, a new chapter. To be honest, I had a bit of writer's block trying to write out this chapter so I'm kind of unsure of how it truly is. Between working on these and my actual book, I'm having plenty of practice on my writing so far. Still got some work to get through, but I'm getting there slowly but surely. Remember to answer questions #1 & #2 lol.

Merry Christmas!
