"Spill it," Bakugo spoke through the comms while his eyes kept watch. Deku had been uncharacteristically quiet all night, which bothered him.

A sigh ran through the comms, "I...don't really know how to...I just needed to tell someone."

The blond furrowed his brows and stood, jumping from his building to his friends. He plopped down beside him, and removed the comm, "Then let's talk."

"Over break something happened," Deku's eyes were looking in the direction of the civilians, but you could tell he was far away. He swallowed, "So, Ochako...had a miscarriage." Bakugo blinked and thought for a moment when his friend continued, "We didn't know. She had to stay at the hospital over night."

"Why didn't you call me," his voice was soft and calm, not his usual gruff and direct tone.

"It all happened so fast. I was just worried about her and what she needed from me." He moved his green eyes to Bakugo, "I feel kind of helpless in all of it...yeah it's been a couple weeks, but she's still trying to deal with it all."

Bakugo let out a long breath and reached out, placing a hand on the back of Deku's neck, "All you can do is be there for her. Let her know you're not going anywhere," he gave his friend a gentle squeeze, "But, I'd let her know you're having a hard time with it too."

The green hero nodded, "I appreciate you letting me tell you this."

He removed his hand and leaned back, "You might be a fucking nerd, but you're my fucking nerd." He looked at him, "You can always come to me."

A half hearted chuckled left Deku and they were quiet once more. Bakugo meant that. Midoriya had been there for him during the hardest time of his life. Through thick and thin time and time again, they had one another's back. Bakugo would never admit it, but he was his best friend. They knew one another better than anyone, and he would be there for him in every way that he could.

Sunni was typing a paper in her room when the door opened. She spun around before being pulled into a tight embrace. Bakugo hadn't even changed out of his gear, the cold still on his skin. She settled into his arms, wrapping hers around him, "Katsuki, what's wrong?"

He buried his face into her curls before answering, "You know that I'll always do everything I can, right?"

"Of course," she looked up at him, "Just like I would do for you." Her head tilted to the side as she studied him, "What's gotten you worked up?"

He pulled away from her and shut the door with a sigh, "Promise you won't say anything to anyone, even Mina."

She blinked and nodded. He was serious if he was actually using peoples names, "I swear."

She was quiet after he told her. He undid his gauntlets, setting them aside as he moved to undo the straps across his chest. Her hands quietly reached out and began to remove them. His red eyes watched as she processed the information. "Hallie," he grabbed her hands.

She swallowed, "Can I tell you a story?" He nodded as her hands continued, "Once upon a time there was this girl. She wanted to be a people pleaser, and for people to like her," she laid one strap aside before moving to another one, "she was a fool. A guy with pretty eyes and sweet words laced with venom wound his way into her mind," she paused for a moment, "one day, she said the word 'no'...and laid the price." She laid another strap aside before sighing, "She was sixteen, a kid. Something happened, and five weeks later, she was in the hospital...the pain was almost unbearable. Her brother still beats himself up over it, almost four years later." She looked at him blankly, pushing her emotions back down, "So I understand that loss to a degree. Hers was out of love though. Deku would give up anything and everything for her peace. She knows that, she just needs time to process and heal."

His red eyes looked at her for a long minute. He wanted to rage. His blood felt like it was about to boil. It was an anger he hadn't felt before now. Something so bright and full of fire had to go through something so dark. It clicked, his mind went back to her interactions with men since he head known her. No wonder they made her nervous if they got too close. Her cool hands rested on either side of his face. Sunni gave the slightest smile, "Let it go."

He ground his teeth, taking a deep breath through his nose, "What happened to him?"

"He is in prison...Tobias made sure of that," she sat in her desk chair, "He will never lay a hand on another girl."

"You know I would fight the whole damn world for you," he tilted his head and looked a her, "As long as I'm around, no one will ever be able to put you in that situation again."

She chuckled and gave him a true smile, "Of course I know, you're my hero."

"I wanna stay with you," he nodded to the bed.

"Go shower and come back," her blue eyes looked at her computer, "I'm finishing up anyways."

When the door closed and she was alone, her breathing became rapid, her heart racing. She was about to have a panic attack. She closed her eyes and rested her head on her desk, regaining herself. She hated opening that scar. It made her feel...dirty. Like she was soiled in some way. She sat like that for a long time, fighting from replaying the scenes in her head.

A warm hand running it's way into her hair snapped her back to reality. It gently gripped her shoulder, making her sit up. The other hand closed her computer. She hadn't even realized her light had been turned out. "Come on," Bakugo's voice was soft and quiet.

Sunni stood and crawled into bed with him. He wrapped her up into his arms tightly and pulled her against his chest. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She was safe here, with him. Her voice was barely above a whisper, "Thank you."

"Don't thank me," he kissed her head. He paused for a moment, working up the courage, "Even though your a pain in the ass, I'm crazy about you...and I mean it when I say it'll never have the opportunity to happen again."

Sunni could feel the blush on her cheeks, "I know it won't." She buried her face into his chest and listened to his heart beat.

He laid there quietly holding her close for a while. Sleep didn't feel like an option right now. His mind wandered to their time together, from her first running her mouth, to now being curled up together in her room. The power she had over him was enough to break him, he would throw it all away if he had to. It was terrifying.

Sunni could feel his heartbeat quicken, she slowly sat up and looked at him, "Katsuki, you know I feel the same, right? I would wipe the floor without a second thought. You're the first thing that crosses my mind when I wake up, the last thing before I fall asleep..." she smirked, "It's annoying."

Bakugo sat up and looked at her, studying the way her curls bellowed around her bare, freckled shoulders. His hand slowly traced up her bare arm, to her shoulder, settling on the back of her neck. He pulled her into a deep, soft kiss. Sunni didn't hesitate in returning his kiss. He brought her such a comfort, such a calm. Especially when they were like this.

She moved closer to him, her hands made their way to his chest, gently pushing him back. He pulled her down with him, breaking away from their kiss. She rested her forehead on his briefly before laying her head back on his chest. The sound of his heartbeat began to lull her to sleep. After a while, both of them were breathing deeply.
