Secrets Chapter 5

The limo pulled to the back of the hotel to pick up Rory. The door opened and she got in. She was not surprised to see the gang. The Limo made the block a couple of times before they got in line at the entrance.

When the limo pulled up. Logan was first one out, then Colin, Finn, then Robert. The men stood by the limo helping Rory, Steph, Rosemary and Julia. They did not pair up going into the Gala. They all knew pairing up would put them front and center on the gossip rags.

The girls were stopped on the red carpet. Everyone wanted to know what Gloria Vanderbilt's granddaughter, Stephanie Vanderbilt's was wearing.

"This is Zuhair Murad's sleeveless gown. Don't you just love the pleated bodice and the elevated draped details as well as the leg split?" Stephanie asked.

The TMZ reporter nodded. "I just love the color on you." She said,

"Yes," Steph said. "Hunter green is a must with my complexion." Steph looked over to see where Rory, Rosemary and Julia were.

"I'm wearing Safiyaa's sleeveless boatneck gown." Rory told Fox News fashion reporters. She moved from side to side, pushing her leg through the slit and showing off the train. "Black is my color." She told her.

"Girl you know you would look great in anything" Julia said as she showed off her JJ's House A-Line high neck Asymmetrical Silk Lace evening gown with ruffles and sequins. They were sparkling when the light hit them.

The reporter giggled at the girls. Steph moved toward them as they finished their walk down the red carpet. The boys followed with the reporters shouting questions at them.

"Where is your date?" "Looking good guys." "Stop for an interview." The guys just gave them that million dollar society smile and kept moving.

They enjoyed the Gala as much as they could considering they had to cull the drinking. They all needed to be on their toes. One slip could bring it all to a screeching halt.

After the Gala they all crashed at Rory and Logan's penthouse. The liquor was flowing now. Finn being Finn had to suggest (insist) they play 'Never have I ever.' They sit everything up at the dining room table. Steph started it off.

Steh: "Never have I ever done a nude streak in public." Everyone drank.

"Okay," Julia said. "I know about the guys, I even know about Steph, but Rory?"

Rory was already turning red. She would not look up. "Do you want me to tell them?" Logan asked. She nodded. "Well, you see, we were in Jamaica and we thought the pool was a private pool." Everyone was laughing.

"At least they didn't show up until after" Rory said quietly. This got another round of laughing.

"Never have I ever kissed a friend's sibling," Julia said. Finn, Colin, Julia and Steph drank. Rory did not.

"Rory, have you never kissed a friend's brother?" Steph asked.

"Or sister," Finn added. That got a laugh out of everyone.

"No I have not." She said, sitting up straight. She had been leaning, or laying on Logan in their big chair. "Whose sister or brother have you kissed Finn?" Rory asked.

"Well, let's see. There is Robert's sister, Gloria, I think that is her name. My friend Alexander's brother." He smiled at Rory. Trying to make the point that it didn't have to be one or the other.

"Oh, and Tom's sister, Tina," Julia said.

"Nick's sister Frances," Colin said.

"Seth's sister Cindy," Finn said.

"Honor" Steph asked. The laughing stopped. Everyone was looking at Logan.

He rolled his eyes "You think I didn't know?" He said. "Honor tells me everything, or she used to, back when she was a teenager."

Finn cut his eyes at Logan. He wasn't going to be the one to tell him he had a fling with Honor right before she started dating Josh.

"My turn, My turn" Rory said, bouncing up and down. "Never have I ever told my parents off and left them to explain to my set up date." Logan drank.

"Yeah, Logan, tell us about that. I need some pointers" Colin said. His dad was not as bad as Shira.

"Well it's easy when your mom tries to set you up with Jessica Harigane," Logan said. Colin spit his drink out. They all were laughing.

"I don't know Jessica Harigane." Rory said.

"Let me, Let me," Finn said. "I want to tell her." Logan nodded.

"Well, we were all at the Huntzburger Christmas Gala." Finn began. "Our freshman year. As you can guess, we were all drinking pretty heavily. By the time we got to the sub party in the pool house, everyone was feeling good. After a while someone asked where Jessica ran off to. She couldn't be found, so Julia and Kimberly were the soberist of the group. They went with Logan and Colin to find her. She passed out under the buffet table."

"We tried to get her out," Logan said, "Without alerting any of the adults"

"That didn't work," Colin said. "With the help of one of the waiters, we got her on her feet just in time for her to throw up all over the buffet table." They all shivered thinking about it.

"Needless to say, we took off and left her." Julia said.

"You left her?" Rory said.

Julia nodded. "She had been sleeping with Seth at the same time as one of my friends." This got a laugh out of Rory.

This continued on for a while. Then they put on music and started dancing. Everyone was having a great time. Which is a good thing because in the morning, the headache would begin.

Rory woke up in bed alone. She jumped up to go throw up but tripped over Logan in the bathroom door. After taking care of business, she got Logan up, they both took some aspirin and drank a bottle of water. They went back to sleep.

The next time Logan woke, he could smell pancakes. Rory was not in bed. He slipped on his sweatpants and a shirt and went to find his girlfriend.

He walked into the rest of the gang sitting in various places eating pancakes. His eyes scanned the room til he found Rory sitting at the bar eating.

"Well, I don't know about y'all" Logan said, "But I am thankful I have outgrown this." He filled up his coffee mug, then topped Rory's off.

"Yeah," Finn said. "Once every few years is enough" Everyone nodded their head. You would think knowing how Finn was in College, that it was a strange statement, but Finn barely got drunk anymore. None of them did. They all drink socially, they have a nightcap now and again, but they do not drink like they did in college.
