Chapter 32 - The Arc of Mushroom Kingdom Part 2: Three Teams Strikeout
(Toad Town)
Taiyo and the rest of the teams have arrived to see what was causing the massive damage in Toad Town.
The Toads are panicking around and flee to their residential places. They are under attack by the pink aliens controlled with their droids' cockpits.
Ripley became alarmed, seeing the same ones in New York.
"Oh hell no! Not them!" Ripley muttered.
"They are one looking pink-brained freaks!" Crymini exclaimed in disgust upon seeing the Kraang.
"You know these things?" Yixato asked.
"They are the Kraang. The evil alien hivemind has enslaved the planet Earth and attempting to make their habitat by turning people into the Kraang mutants." Arnold informed.
"Yeah, we know what they are. Mario has told us about the Kraang." Taiyo said.
"These aliens are way different than the ones in Turo." Chopsuey uttered.
"Why are they doing here? Didn't they already taking over the planet?" Ripley asked.
"They did. For now, let's eliminate these droids." Arnold answered.
"Alright, here's what we do..." Ripley began.
"Hey! I'm in charge of my plan." Taiyo interrupted him. "We just have to take them down."
"Don't cut out for this, punk. I fought those freaks before in the city. You do not know what kind of plan you put out there." Ripley disputed.
"So let me and my team smacked the Kraang down. That's all we want." Taiyo argued.
Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, Geno, Goku, Natus, Venus, Yixato, Blanca, Verta, Sean Xu, Chopsuey, Trug, Charlie, Aggie, Niffty, Crymiini, Husk, Tybalt, and Millie stared at them with blank looks while the two bickering to each other.
"Won't they shut their mouths while those people running in amok with the Kraang attacking them? Can somebody do something?!" Aggie muttered.
"There is some way to appease the dispute between them. My mother taught me all living things must find the way of peace without negative sentiments." Blanca said.
"I wish I can reason them." Natus replied. "They would like to stop bickering in the middle of this."
"You know, they are getting annoyed over their fighting tactics." Husk commented.
"Reminds me that we are trying to go out there and kicked the bot heads out." Yoshi added.
"Bowser, would you mind?" Mario asked.
"Pleasure." Bowser replied, walked over to the bickering young leaders. "Alright, alright, quit your yabbering around! We gotta focus on saving the Toad Town. Are you two letting the pink brain aliens take over the entire world?"
They both looked in disbelief and dumbfounded before the Kraangdroids spotted the heroes and armed with the laser blasters at the group. The other droids got their attention at them.
"It is the ones called themselves the heroes from the universes." Kraangdroid said before scanning Taiyo, Goku, Venus, and Yixato. "And the key-wielding individuals have been confirmed. Annihilate every last one of them."
The droids aimed their blasters at the teams, ready to take action.
"Taiyo! Ripley! Don't you dummies know what to be the great leaders?" Venus asked.
"Great! What do we do?" Zidane asked.
"I think we have to split from each other." Taiyo spoke.
"Yeah. Divide and conquer is the brilliant plan." Ripley agreed sarcastically, wielding out his Quad Blasters.
"Let's do it now!" Mario urged.
"Right!" The whole group murmured.
They are all splitting apart from the group, fighting against the Kraangdroids.
Niffty brought out her long leather whip before disarming the blaster to pull it out from the droid's hands and lashed through its head. The droid dropped to the ground as the Kraang scattered away in retreat while screeching.
"Oh yes! Bonus point for me." Niffty cheered
Yoshi turns himself into an egg, hurls towards the Kraangdroids, knocking them down. He bursts out of the egg and lands his boots on the ground.
Tybalt drew out his knives and tossed them at every droid, stabbing their heads and disabling the bodies. He fired his assault rifle to incapacitate the robots.
"Not bad, Tybalt." Millie said, carrying her giant double axe. "I'll show ya with these pesky clowns."
Millie ran towards the three droids before they are shot the lasers at her. The female imp managed to evade the lasers, sliced them in halves when passed through them, and tossed the axe at the fourth robotic suit.
"That's my Millie." Tybalt smiled.
Goku dodged the lasers before he slashed right through its left shoulder with his Keyblade and threw his Shield of Fellowship at another robot, causing it to disrupt.
One of the Kraangdroids shot a laser at the monkey, but Goku used his shield to deflect it right back at its target and took a blast.
Two more Kraangdroids aimed their blasters at him.
"Kraang has detected a similar object. The monkey has the material which is known as Adamantium." A Kraangdroid spoke.
"Dude. Your grammar isn't proper English." Goku commented.
"Kraang shall force themselves to take the Adamantium shield from the one possess it." A second droid replied.
"Uh uh. This is my shield. I won't let you have it." Goku said before rushing over at them.
Sean fires the chi balls at the droid, decapitating its arms and falling back to the ground. He saw the blue and green Toads have cornered by the Kraang.
"Get away from them!" Sean shouted, kicking one of the droids.
"Surrender to the Kraang." Kraangdroid uttered.
"Don't think so." Sean grunted.
He bashed it with an impactful punch, causing its head to fall off from its droid body and uppercutting the second one, finishing it off.
"You saved us! Thank you!" A green Toad cheered.
"Take to safety now." Sean told them as the two Toads did.
Geno blasted his two fists away to punch two droids at the same time and returned to their owner. He protruded his pair of photon blades above his hands before swiftly slashing the droid suits at a fast pace. The android doll paced towards the others as he blasted his Light Vision to vaporize the Kraangdroids, leaving the small aliens alive.
Charlie and Aggie easily handled against the Kraangdroids as the latter impaled through its right leg and slammed it on the ground. Charlie used her pyrokinesis to conjure the flaming waves around the droids and burn their mechanical bodies, leaving the Kraang lives without burns.
"It is almost too easy." Charlie said.
"Yeah, lot of them are more coming here." Aggie murmured.
Luigi shoots the series of Thunder Blast at the droids, electrocuting them and turning them offline.
"Woo! They are much like the Heartless and Nobodies. Things are getting little rough." Luigi said, rubbing off sweat from his head.
Venus slashed more droids in her way and cast the Waterga on them, colliding to the wall. She bent down when noticing the droid attacked behind her, flip kick on it, and smashed its head with Shell Breaker.
Crymini strummed her axe-guitar, uttering the sound waves combining with her hellish energy to disrupt the four Kraangdroids and causing them to shut them down.
"I am so blasted to send all of the high notes to them!" Crymini said, sticking out a tongue from her snout.
Chopsuey is taking cover behind the corner of the house, almost shot by a laser.
"Looks like I need more extra arms!" Chopsuey said as his second pair of arms emerged out of his body and held pair of the Plasma Blasters.
Chopsuey gives a full barrage of lasers at the Kraangdroids, shooting any of them in the head.
"Whoo. I loved my part of shooting." Chopsuey uttered, getting one of the droid's blasters. "And I'm selling this off to the buyer."
Arnold has stretched his palms out to shoot the repulsor beams at the several droids in quick precision. He ejected the shock baton from his back, slamming it against the Kraangdroid to shock its circuit and kicking it away. He goes for the next one and electrocutes the droid.
Husk shot some of his sharp card feathers at the droids, disabling the robotic suits as the pink aliens scrambled away. He swiped his claws at two others and grabbed the small tentacled alien before punching through its cockpit.
Trug took out the Kraang by himself, using both long-rooted arms to smack them and crushing their robot bodies.
"You are Trug." Trug muttered.
Blanca conjured her chi magic to cut through the robot bodysuits and formed the orb before splitting it into shards and hurling them at the Kraangdroids, disabling their bodies.
Verta summoned the mystic green snake to bite the droids' heads off. She thrust her hand onto the third droid's chest and disrupted its machinery body.
"I would like to know why these things attacked a place like this." Verta replied.
Dexter brought out his Flask Lock Pistol, loaded with the explosive red flask, and shot a chemical liquid ball at the Kraangdroids, giving off the explosion. All the robotic parts fell to the ground, the Kraang squealed in fear and retreated.
"I should say thank you to Billy when he made it for me." Dexter replied.
Yixato kept blocking against the lasers with his Warrior's Key before creating the light and dark crescent energy wave at them, giving off an explosion.
"Wow! How do I do that?" Yixato asked.
Natus dodged from the lasers, but he took a hit from a single blast. He snarled at them.
"That makes me hurt. You want me to know what things can hurt you all." Natus said.
The Kraangdroids just aimed their blasters, ready to fire the alien.
"We do not the acknowledge the word 'hurt'. Prepare to surrender to the Kraang." A droid spoke.
Natus drew his second pair of arms out from the sides of a lower body.
"Gamma Ray Waves!" Natus replied, unleashing the four bluish-purple beams to disintegrate the droids into ashes.
The Kraang are scattered away in fear as Natus retracts his second pair of arms back.
"I gotta learn about my genetic power." Natus replied.
Zidane jumped towards the droid, stabbing its head with his Mage Mashers.
Another Kraangdroid tried to shoot Zidane, but the latter hopped off and threw one of his daggers at the blaster could explode itself and severed damage to its robotic body.
Mario and Bowser have fought together against the Kraangdroids. It is the first time that arch-enemies have settled their differences. Mario deflected against the lasers and fired the fireballs at them while Bowser breathed his fire stream out of his mouth to burn the droids.
One of the droids dropped the portable device which opened up a portal to bring out the Biotroids and other Kraang as they surrounded Mario and Bowser.
They both back up against each other.
"Oh man! These bunch of hooligans are tiring me out!" Bowser groaned.
"Trust me." Mario said, puzzling his former arch-nemesis. "We do it faster."
Mario swirled his Ignition Flower, blazing fire veiled around the Keyblade.
"Fire Multi-Strike!"
He threw his Ignition Flower, spinning the attack at the droids and colliding them. But the Keyblade didn't go back to its owner. It kept attacking more droids in a circle around all at once.
Bowser smirked, impressed by Mario's new attack. "Not bad. You managed to develop your technique."
Mario nodded in response as he caught his Keyblade without noticing.
"Now watch this!" Bowser replied.
The fire-breathing Koopa punched one of the Biotroids, then swiped the claws at another. He thrusts his fist to break through the gorilla-like automaton's body, shutting it down.
The two Biotroids grabbed his arms, restraining the King of the Koopas. Bowser shoots the two fireballs from his mouth and clutches both of them before smashing them on the ground.
The three more Biotroids are shooting lasers with their Butt Cannons.
"Disgusting!" Bowser groaned before withdrawing to his shell.
He took a quick spin before moving towards them, crashing against them like the line of bowling pins, and the Biotroids faltered before going offline.
Bowser popped out of his shell as the last Biotroid charged behind him, and he quickly grabbed the Kraang from an automaton to remove from its compartment. The Kraang screeched in fear as Bowser breathed the fire at the Biotroid, burning it. He threw it to the ground as the pink-brained alien scattered away.
"Hm. Not bad, Bowser." Mario said.
"I tried to get some workout." Bowser responded. "By the way, let's go see how Taiyo and Ripley going."
Taiyo charged towards the Kraangdroids, swiped his Warrior's Key, and sliced their heads off. He then casts Thundaga to zap the others.
"You think better than me?" Ripley questioned. "I'll show you."
Ripley ran over at the droids, firing both of his Quad Blasters simultaneously with lasers and electro shots. He dodged down to avoid the pink lasers and shot an electric pulse at the droid.
"How many scores can you beat me?" Taiyo asked, finishing off another Kraangdroid.
"I have about twelve of them. You got ten left behind." Ripley remarked.
"Hey, it's all I got. Why don't you make yourself useful while we fight?" Taiyo asked, sounding upset.
Once they finished all of the droids, bickering a lot to each other.
"Guys!" Mario shouted as he jumped between them. "I know you two are not in a set this battle. We gotta put our differences aside and no more bickering. Right now, we have to make sure anyone didn't get hurt."
Bowser came over to the boys. "Mario's right. He and I were way back as enemies while conquering the Mushroom Kingdom. This time, we are no longer fighting each other. Xehanort is the one who got us into this mess in the first place ever since he made the devious plan to cast the darkness to every world."
Both of the team's leaders were completely surprised to hear them say.
And lastly, Yixato agreed with Mario and Bowser.
"Because two of you are acting stupidity and showing off your skills. I don't want either of you to end up being the bad guys, otherwise, there would be consequences whether you like it or not!" Yixato shouted, peeving Taiyo and Ripley.
Ripley soon realized his errors before apologetically speaking to him.
"Man, I'm very sorry I'm acting like the arrogant leader. I tried to do my best whenever you don't like my plan for whooping some ass on them." Ripley said.
"Language!" Mario scolded.
"Sorry." Ripley grunted before turning back to Taiyo. "I was trying to say, on the first time we met. I knew you were way ahead through a lot as I did."
"You shouldn't think this through before you act. So promise me not to pull that stunt again, okay?" Taiyo asked.
"Alright, I heard you. I could let you do it in your own way. I probably need a lesson, not very strict or proper." Ripley muttered.
"That's all we like to hear." Bowser smirked. "It's not even the end of the world."
The Portal of Darkness appeared on the top of the town hall, and Saïx walked out from it.
"Saïx." Taiyo sneered with a deep scowl.
"So he is another member of Organization XIII, correct?" Ripley asked.
"Yeah. Glad you have ran into one of these goons." Taiyo said.
Luigi, Yoshi, Geno, Goku, Venus, Sean, Blanca, Verta, Sean Xu, Chopsuey, Trug, Charlie, Aggie, Arnold, Niffty, Husk, Dexter, Crymini, Zidane, Tybalt, and Millie approached the group before turning to Saïx.
"Could that be him?" Crymini asked.
"Yep, it's Saïx. We met him in the Hollow Bastion." Yoshi replied.
"And we encountered Xigbar who is trying to steal the Japanese sword from my uncle." Charlie said.
"You have an uncle?" Venus asked.
"Talk later." Husk said.
"So nice of you all to come here in this town. We meet again, Taiyo." Saïx said.
"How much do you know about me?" Taiyo asked.
"A friend of mine which you may know Ganon." Saïx replied, causing the group to feel the concern.
"That can't be possible! He's dead!" Geno scowled.
"That's right. My daddy said that Geno banished Ganondorf to the Realm of Darkness." Charlie added.
"More than you think. Have you been unaware of his origins? Let me put it right through this. It's simple." Saïx sneered.
He began to fill out the details to the group of how Ganondorf has capable of controlling the darkness, and the flashbacks occurred.
(Flashback - The Dark World: Depths of Darkness)
Ganondorf ventured through in the Depths of Darkness without the signs of his defeat or hesitation. He sensed the ethereal dark aura surrounding the cavernous area before stretching out his left hand to conjure the energy of darkness, smirking to see that he unlocked the newfound power. He can kill the two Darksides with Swords of Darkness on his path.
"Right after he has banished in the dark realm, he was able to learn to control the power of darkness. Then, he approved his powerful abilities and nothing can withstand him."
Ganondorf plunged through his chest with a bare hand as it glowed with a dark red and black aura. The glowing black heart has emerged from him, floating above the ground with dark purple sparks. His body became near dissipated, gazing at his heart with a devious grin, and the Gerudo vanished, without the shadowy body as it flashed out of the explosive wave of dark energy to send itself back to the Realm of Light. The next one showed the two different versions of Ganon, Demise, and Tengu.
"He soon learned how to create the Heartless and Nobody. He separated his heart to create another version of himself and sent the body to the world of light. He followed throughout his plans, according to my leader Xemnas. There are two powerful versions of Ganondorf, Demise, and Tengu."
(Flashback - Final World)
It showed Demise having fought against Taiyo and Mario in the Final World. Demise fastened them with his Chains of Maltreatment, zapping both heroes. Taiyo brings out his Keyblade Morpher to morph into Red-Eyed Keyblade Dragoon before rushing to fight Demise.
"Demise is not only the first reborn from Ganon, but he is also the original incarnated version of himself, his past life. The one who gave the undying hatred curse to the Hero of Time himself can be reborn many times to pursue domination of Hyrule. And those with the blood of the Goddess and the spirit of the Hero from every cycle of rebirth."
(Flashback: New York City)
Tengu has beaten the heroes in New York City such as Hiroshi, Raccoonus, Sasuke, Kenji, Atsuko, Keno, Hana, Snow Fang, and Mortu. Then Hiroshi powered up with Zen-Power Mode, easily overpowered Ganon's Nobody after he struck him with Energized Blade.
"And as for Tengu, he hadn't recovered after he was born without a heart. Fawful asked Kraang Subprime to modify his body to keep himself from dying and giving him powers in the process. He's nothing but an empty shell like Xemnas without emotions."
(Flashback: Back at the Dark Fortress)
Xemnas and his followers have agreed with Ganondorf's spirit. Organization XIII's leader explained his perfect plan to gain power from Kingdom Hearts and do his biddings from Ganon to let them on the assignments to search the Star Spirits.
"The spirit of the fallen Gerudo King has returned slowly, thanks to Taiyo and Mario for defeating his Heartless embodiment. Then, my master made a plan to take over the Kingdom Hearts. He will also do the biddings from him to find the seven Star Spirits to grant a wish to search the lost ancient Keyblade known as Key of Destiny. The Organization has become interested in Destiny Orbs as well, are the keys to eradicating every world and plunged them into everlasting shadows."
(Toad Town)
All of the heroes in each group become utter horror to hear from Saïx. Ripley and the fellow Hellish Demons are puzzled about the Key of Destiny, although Charlie has heard it from her father.
"It sounds insane!" Niffty exclaimed.
"So it's true that Ganon and Organization XIII are working together!" Zidane grunted.
"Yes. Though we failed to gather the Star Spirits, the part of a plan is still in motion." Saïx replied.
"And why did you come here?" Mario demanded.
"There is a reason I must search something that has sealed below right beneath the Mushroom Kingdom. A Dark Star." Saïx responded.
Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Geno became silent in worry even Bowser has aware of the Dark Star.
"The Dark Star?" Goku asked.
"Sentient evil star is born out of the darkness when this world is created by light. Fawful explained his obsession to find it. With it, your world is no more. No one can interfere with my master's goal." Saïx murmured.
"So Xemnas let Fawful to destroy our world?" Bowser asked.
"Yes." Saïx responded.
"That is way too far!" Millie scoffed.
"Xemnas is insane!" Taiyo grunted. "He makes everyone stringing like the bunch of puppets like you. You didn't discover the others who have some emotions. All he did, making lies to the Nobodies!"
"Taiyo's right. I do have feelings which means I cannot take sides with Organization XIII." Yixato said.
"You're telling him that, Yixato." Dexter said.
Saïx scoffed before turning away from the group, looking up to the sky.
"Xemnas is the one who founded his Organization, that why he wants to accomplish his true goal. In doing so, he will possess the glorious and divine power from Kingdom Hearts. There is more to say, pitiful Heartless, mindlessly collecting hearts. And yet they know not the true power of what they hold. The rage of the Keyblade releases those hearts. They gather in darkness, masterless and free...until they weave together to make Kingdom Hearts. And when that time comes, we can truly, finally exist."
"Your speech is too much for us to hear!" Ripley spat out in disbelief, firing the electro shot from one of his blasters at Saïx.
Saïx quickly drew out his Lunatic Claymore to block it, smirking in return before facing them. The Lunatic has a smooth, white handle with a gray spike set in its pommel. The guard is a pale yellow semi-circle with four small notches on its outer edge. The lower part of the blade is thick and has concave sides as each side has lined by three small notches. The blade is pale blue and has blue-gray edges. The lower half of the blade has decorated with two small, light blue diamonds. The tip of the Lunatic is a blue ring with dark-blue edges and has lined by seven spikes. The tip is connected to the main blade by a pale yellow symbol shaped like the top half of the Nobody logo.
When Saïx enters his berserker state, the tip of the Lunatic has divided into two large, identical halves, each with three complete spikes lining the outer edge; the topmost spike splits into two. These halves also gain four enormous, pale blue spikes shaped like those on the Nobody logo. The two halves retain the coloration of the normal Lunatic and are connected to the main blade by the cross-shaped symbol, which has become slightly larger.
"Is this a challenge? Fine, it's your call."
He hopped down from the building to land on the ground, sprinting away from the group.
Taiyo, Mario, Yixato, and Ripley ran to follow him.
"Hey, wait up for us!" Yoshi barked.
"Let's go!" Blanca urged.
"Hurry!" Dexter said.
They all chased Saïx out of the Toad Town, unaware of the anthropomorphic axolotl watched them persuing the member of Organization XIII. He held out Powerwrench over his shoulder. A Powerwrench is a melee weapon that can be thrown and swung against enemies.
"Those guys need my help. I don't want them to get in serious matters." An axolotl spoke in a serious tone.
(Mushroom Kingdom - Rocky Canyon: Stumbling Area)
Saïx led Taiyo, Mario, Yixato, and Ripley to the Stumbling Area in the Rocky Canyon, where they began to challenge the Luna Diviner.
"You led us here right in the middle of nowhere. Quit chasing for the cat and mouse game already!" Ripley revoked.
"Your curiosities have certain me. Neither of you shall begin to face me but for the moment yet." Saïx uttered.
"You may be the Nobody without a heart. But we prove to you how the emotions are strong than you can imagine." Mario scowled.
"Do not make me disappointed, Mario. Your reasons are not worthy to my words." Saïx sneered.
"Saïx. If you refuse to turn yourself in, we destroy you." Taiyo said.
"Yeah. Roxas is tired of your schemes and he left from the Organization." Yixato replied.
"How pity." Saix smirked in response. "His sole being lives within Sora's heart."
"Huh?" Taiyo confused.
"What do you mean?" Yixato asked.
"You clearly don't know? He returned to Sora as his original self. He too will perish before your eyes." Saïx answered.
"You stay from my friend! I won't let you take his life away!" Taiyo said, utterly summoned his Warrior's Key.
Saïx took a sigh before he summoned his Lunatic, held it down beneath his feet, and glanced towards the heroes.
Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, Natus, Geno, Goku, Venus, Blanca, Verta, Chopsuey, Trug, Sean, Charlie, Aggie, Husk, Niffty, Crymini, Dexter, Zidane, Tybalt, and Millie came into the scene as they all stood behind the field.
"They are on the area of the canyon." Blanca said.
"We got to help them." Venus uttered. "Come on!"
Before they urged themselves, the white and black dome barrier appeared as Venus got staggered by a strong force from the shell and fell back to the ground.
"Venus!" Goku came to her aid, helping her up. "You okay?"
"I'm good." Venus grunted.
Verta gritted her teeth in annoyance, gripping her left fist. "Now they trapped in there and we can't bust them out."
"Let me try." Zidane said, wielding his Mage Mashers and slashing against the barrier repeatedly.
"It's not gonna work. Your weapons are not effective against the barrier." Arnold said.
"You heard him. So stop it." Dexter urged.
Zidane scoffed, stepped away from the barrier.
"We can't let them lose in serious battle. There has to be a way to beat that scum." Charlie told the group.
"Charlie. We still had Ripley. Maybe your boyfriend will turn the tables on Saïx." Aggie encouraged.
"With my brother is the second strongest fighter, he can beat him." Luigi pointed out.
"You sure?" Millie asked.
"Definitely." Luigi nodded.
"Taiyo and Yixato are the bold warriors." Arnold stated. "We all counting on them for keeping this world safe from the enemies."
"I agree with Arnold. I can see them fighting amongst the Heartless and Nobodies. " Natus murmured.
"We admired their courage as soon as they defeat Saïx. We all have to trust their battle instincts and strategies. I know Ripley acting like a buffoon before but he's a good guy who can handle the troubles. Please let us watch them fight." Tybalt prompted.
"Exactly. There ain't nothing to worry about. These boys are tougher than they look." Millie said as she teased Tybalt playfully by squeezing his cheeks. "Tybalt or I would gonna called you 'Moxxie'. I like your speech, you are doing it outstanding and trusting their judgments. Thank you for your compliment."
She kissed Tybalt on his cheek, laying her head on his right shoulder as the latter giggled sheepishly.
"Um, can you two not?" Zidane asked, pointing out to the four heroes with his thumb. "We are supposed to watch these guys."
"Can't argue in here." Luigi muttered.
"This could take a lot of determination when you spat out the words from your mouth." Bowser sighed.
"Hey!" Niffty shouted, catching their attention. "Ripley is about to bring out his Excalibur!"
"The what?!" Yoshi asked, sharing the shock with the others.
"Did you say he has the Excalibur?" Geno surprised.
"Yeah! The holy sword chosen Ripley as its new owner." Husk answered.
"No way!" Luigi exclaimed before feeling dumbfounded. "Wait, what? Why didn't you guys told me he has the Excalibur?"
"I know it's a bad time for explaining things to you, but we probably can tell you about it later." Charlie embarrassed.
"Touche." Yoshi soughed.
"I laid my Quad Blasters rest for now. I can fight with this!" Ripley replied, removing his Excalibur from a scabbard and revealing it to Saïx.
"What is that sword?" Taiyo asked.
"I know what that weapon is. The Excalibur! Legendary Sword of King Arthur. Where did you get it?" Mario asked.
"It's from the world called Devilish Transylvanian Monster Realm." Ripley responded.
"Oh, that one? We've been there before." Taiyo said. "My companions and I have met the wizard in London."
Saïx grew his curiosity when he saw the Excalibur. "Ah. I could say it is an impressive blade you have."
"Yeah. You gotta be so screwed up this time." Ripley smirked.
"It makes sense. You are the one who defeat Wizzro attempted to steal the energies and the Excalibur but failed. Fawful told me about the events you destroyed the Relinquished." Saïx responded.
"Yup. That one-eyed monster sure looks the same as the duel monster card from the anime." Ripley said. "Yu-Gi-Oh is my favorite show, now things turns real."
"Hmph, such a sense of humor. It's unchanged." Saïx replied.
He dashed forward at Ripley, but the latter blocked the large blade against the Excalibur.
Mario and Yixato rushed over to swipe their Keyblades at Luna Diviner but somersaulted himself to the air away from them, dodging their attacks, and smashed the ground to create the brute shockwave right at Taiyo, Mario, Yixato, and Ripley.
They all swept back, plunged their weapons to the ground to hold on to themselves.
"I gotta say he's a tough sackbag." Ripley grunted.
"We have to stay together. Go up for the pace." Mario said.
Saïx dashed towards them with his claymore before Taiyo used Sliding Dash to stun him and smacked the Luna Diviner with his Keyblade thrice.
"My turn! Double Firaga!" Mario casts the Firaga spell that landed an impact on Saïx two times, earning him a groan in pain.
Saïx then swings his claymore to conjure the blue wave of the moon's energy without applying it from the real moon and straighten it over to them.
"Don't think so!" Ripley shouted.
Ripley held out his Excalibur as he pushed the pommel to widen its blade and emit the light, shifting to Two-Hand Mode. He took a quick swing to summon the golden yellow magic wave to collide against Luna Diviner's moon energy wave attack as they exploded upon impact and created the smoke of clouds.
"How did you...?" Taiyo asked.
"I learn the basics with this sword." Ripley smirked.
However, Saïx lunged through the smoke and bashed Ripley in the chest with his Lunatic Claymore, sending him flying back to the ground which worries Charlie.
"Ripley!" Charlie gasped.
"Do not worry too much. My son is a perfect warrior, he cannot let himself down." Arnold replied firmly.
"That's right, he do his best in fighting." Chopsuey said.
"I am Trug." Trug agrees with him.
"Mm-hm. Speak for yourself, tree hugger." Chopsuey murmured.
"I admired him for his bravery. He cannot be defeated." Blanca replied.
"Same for Yixato." Verta said, placing her right hand on her chest. "He has the heroic spirit in his empty shell."
Zidane turned to Sean. "Does she have a thing for the guy?"
"Yeah. Blanca and I share our fond. That's how I met her when I found the lady near the waterfall." Sean responded and asked. "And how about you?"
"I used to date a girl a long way back. Her name is Dagger." Zidane replied.
"Dagger?" Sean confused.
"Guys, cut off the conversation!" Crymini whispered. "Right now, we're gonna make sure they didn't want to get killed."
"Unless you do want to die?" Aggie glared with a deadly scowl and held her harpoon firmly.
"No, no, no! We're cool." Zidane was alarmed, putting his hands up.
"Yixato was similar to me since my past old days in China. I know he will." Verta replied.
Mario stumbled back after he got hit by Saïx's moon energy blast. He dashed forward to him when charged with flames to perform Fire Dash and collided with him in the chest.
Saïx shielded himself when Yixato casts the Thundaga on him, though it still hurts the Nobody. He swung his claymore towards Taiyo, but the latter vanished, dodging the strike.
"Nice trick, Taiyo." Saïx commented.
Taiyo reappeared above him and struck the Luna Diviner down, causing the Nobody stunned in surprise.
"You cannot avoid my Teleport Strike." Taiyo said with a smug look.
Yixato and Ripley gave rapid strikes against him until Taiyo jabbed through him at a swift pace. Saïx almost fell back and balanced himself on the ground. He countered by dashing forward the three heroes and bashing them with a strong impact.
Saïx then fires the moon's energy at them, giving off the explosion behind them, and they fall to the ground in a critical blow. He lunged at Mario, who dodged it and kicked him in the face.
"Mario. It seems you're the noble warrior who can fight to protect your world." Saïx replied, rubbing on the left cheek.
"You really gotta say that?" Mario asked.
"No. I just have to ask you. Why would you risk it to save your friend, Mickey? Does the toon king ever tell you to search for one of the long-lost Keyblade wielders? Aqua is still alive." Saïx replied.
"What?!" Taiyo cried as he and Mario were stunned to hear from the Nobody.
"Aqua's alive? How?" Mario asked.
"Forget about the questions!" Yixato yelled as he charged forward at Luna Diviner.
Yixato tried to swing at him but Saïx stepped aside to avoid it and grabbed his right arm before banging him to the ground. Then he knocked him away with his claymore as Yixato was staggering back.
"What is wrong with you two?" Yixato called over to them. "There is no head-to-head discussion."
"I bring it up to the next level." Ripley uttered, lift it his holy sword in a proud gesture, and chanted. "For the great soul of King Arthur, Excalibur is mine to be worthy."
Several armor pieces have magically placed him around his entire body and formed the Arthurian Armor as he stretched his right arm to hold the Excalibur out.
"Would you look at that." Bowser amazed.
"That's amazing! He donned his armor." Blanca said.
"Yep. That is my shining armor." Charlie said in a sheepish tone with the hearts on her eye pupils.
"It is a rare sight for the demoness' love for the human." Natus spoke.
Saïx and Ripley were clashing their blades with each other, emitting a couple of heat sparks repeatedly. They both collided and struggled to push each other.
"Your fighting skills are improved, I am impressed. Yet for the arrogance." Saïx said.
Ripley headbutted him, stunning the Luna Diviner, and stumbled back. He took a powerful energized swing at him in the gut and sent him flying to the end of the barrier, knocking Saïx to the ground.
"Alright, guys! That's your turn!" Ripley said.
Saïx was grunting, struggling to stand on his feet, but he clutched his stomach that received from Ripley's Excalibur slash while gripping his claymore.
Taiyo, Mario, and Yixato ran across the ground, and they readied the signature attacks.
"Focus Raid!" Taiyo murmured, sending the crescent blade of light at him.
Mario shot the Firebrand from his left hand and collided with Saïx in the small puff of an explosion.
"Dusk Thrust!" Yixato replied, enveloped himself with a black aura, and propelled towards the Nobody.
Saïx has no choice but to block himself. However, Yixato broke through his defensive position and crashed into him. He grabbed the Nobody and tossed him over to the ground.
"Oh yeah! They beaten him down!" Millie cheered.
"That Organization wimp is going down!" Crymini smirked.
"He doesn't stand a chance against our teams' leaders." Natus murmured.
"I am Trug!" Trug spoke with excitement. "I am Trug!"
"Tell me about it." Yoshi muttered.
"He's down! Let's take him out!" Ripley replied.
"Wait!" Taiyo replied, holding out his arm to block Ripley and Yixato's paths.
"He mentioned about Aqua. I have to answer him about her." Mario replied, walking to the Nobody.
Saïx grunted in pain, slowly getting back up, and glared at Mario.
"Mario, get away from him!" Luigi alerted.
"Please don't do it!" Venus urged.
"What is he doing?" Tybalt confused.
Bowser only glared at him but displayed his understanding of why Saïx knows about Aqua.
"I ask you one time." Mario spoke as he pointed at Saïx with his Keyblade. "Is Aqua trapped in the Realm of Darkness?"
Saïx gave a short huff without his hesitation, answered him.
"Yes. Aqua has survived. It is a truth." Saïx murmured.
"Who is he talking about?" Yixato asked.
"Aqua. That's what he meant." Taiyo responded.
"Tell me what happened to her." Mario firmed.
"You're too worried about her. How about I can give you this?" Saïx replied as his eyes glowed yellow, scar became more jagged and a bit bigger, and his hair became much more unkempt.
He entered Berserk Mode with his body enveloping in a blue aura and flames.
"Oh great! Talk about powering up without the moon." Yixato grunted.
"What is that power?" Zidane asked. "It's not like the Limit Trance he ever using it."
"Saïx has entered the Berserk Mode with amplified by the moon's energy. However, he cannot use the moon." Arnold clarified, puzzling the others.
"So you're saying Saïx can get stronger if he occurred with the power of the moon?" Baxter asked. "It's unbelievable source."
"This is bad!" Niffty squirmed.
Saïx thrusts his arms to create the shockwave of blue flames and knocked the four heroes down.
"Taiyo!" Geno cried.
"Oh no!" Aggie concerned.
Sean grunted with gritting teeth. "We gotta stop him!"
"Not now, Sean Xu." Blanca told him.
Saïx walked towards the heroes before speaking to them with gentle calm despite his berserk.
"You four have gone soft. That is how you lose." Saïx murmured, raising his claymore as it radiated a bright blue aura and ethereal flames.
At the moment when Saïx is ready to finish them off, the melee wrench has collides with him, and he is knocked right to the ground. Then the wrench landed straight on the dirt.
"Huh? Who saved us?" Taiyo asked.
The axolotl fell through the top of the barrier using one of his gadgets to bypass the protective shield and landed behind them.
"Whoa! Who are you?" Ripley asked.
"I'm the guy who saved your tails." An axolotl spoke as he picked his Powerwrench from the ground. "Name's Axol. I am the mutant."
"No way! A mutant?!" Ripley baffled.
"Great time for the plan B." Mario uttered.
"Where did he come from?" Goku asked. "And how did he get through the top of the barrier?"
"Don't mind asking. What's a really important question is, does he follow us?" Tybalt asked.
"I do know a same thing." Bowser said.
"Who the hell is that?" Aggie asked.
Arnold stepped in a bit before analyzing the axolotl mutant. In his HUD, he picked up the classified files in a visual database and looked them up to see the axolotl mutant, the same one that ambushed Saïx and confirmed his appearance matched.
"It's the axolotl mutant whose name is Axol. The normal amphibian has mutated by the Kraang as the backup weapon in order to assist the Kraang Hivemind. However, he grew self-aware and began to go against the orders from the Kraang." Arnold verified.
"Hold on a sec? Do you mean he's a mutant?" Charlie asked.
"Positive. Axol was locked up until the Guardians of Infinity set him free and becoming one of the members." Arnold finished.
Saïx stood up himself before setting his eyes on the axolotl mutant. He even lost his Berserk Mode and ran out of the moon's energy much to his frustration.
"I guess your fuel is luckily running out." Axol smirked. "You're still want to go at me?"
"Do I need to retreat?" Saix questioned, snapping the fingers to summon a dark portal behind him. "I never forget what you did to me. We delayed our battle until...we see each other once again."
Saïx began to retreat into the portal as Taiyo yelled out at him.
"Hey! We're not finishing yet! What has Aqua been doing in the Realm of Darkness?"
Saïx stopped his tracks, turning his head at him.
"You'll see when the Organization has falls."
The Luna Diviner entered the dark portal and vanished.
Taiyo collapsed from exhaustion and injury received from Saïx except for Mario, Yixato, and Ripley.
"Taiyo!" Mario said, rushing over to him and holding him in his arms.
The barrier dissipate itself as the group ran over to them. Charlie has hugged Ripley in worry before pulling back away from him.
"Boy. I'm glad you did it." Charlie murmured.
"Easy, princess. We almost had him and he's got away." Ripley replied.
Verta and Sean helped Yixato to lift himself from the ground.
"Are you hurt?" Verta asked.
"You looked in the bad shape." Sean murmured.
"Can you use your magic to heal?" Blanca asked.
"I think I can." Yixato murmured, casting a Curaga on himself as his bruises were gone.
"And what about Taiyo?" Dexter wondered. "Can he make it?"
Mario got out one of the 1-Up Mushrooms and forced it into Taiyo's mouth to swallow it. The light green veiled around him, healing him completely and faded.
"This guy could take a rest. He needs a place to recover his energy." Axol murmured.
"We take him to my house." Mario replied. "Luigi, help me."
"Yes, Mario." Luigi nodded.
Mario and Luigi carried Taiyo as they sprinted out of the canyon area.
"What now?" Husk asked.
"We go back to the castle to report them immedtiately." Geno answered.
"Sounds a good idea." Goku uttered. "We don't know when these baddies are coming back to fight us again."
"And to make sure of that, gotta keep the town safe from the Kraang, Heartless and Nobodies." Dexter murmured.
"I can send some of my Koopa Troopas to set up the perimeter around the whole town. Though, the Toads are still thinking I caused the serious problems." Bowser muttered.
"It'll be fine." Natus murmured.
"There would be plenty of time until the Mushroom Melee Battle begins." Tybalt spoke.
"And we have fun to tour around the Toad Town." Millie squealed in joy.
"Let's not forget about our VIP requests." Husk muttered, shuffling the cards.
"First we have a talk with the axolotl." Verta expressed.
"I can explain to you all at the castle." Axol said.
"I think I need a break. I almost plummeted by the berserk guy." Ripley grunted.
The group has left from the Rocky Canyon.
(Mario's House - Mario and Luigi's Bedroom)
Mario puts Taiyo to his bed and lets him lay to rest.
"There you go. Take a rest. I prepared the dinner for you in case you wake up." Mario replied, putting the tray of lasagna with a glass of water on the bedside table next to him.
Luigi saw throughout the window to see the sun is setting.
"The sun is almost set. We head back to the castle." Luigi murmured.
"Yeah, come on." Mario replied as he and Luigi left the bedroom.
Taiyo began to feel discomfort when he heard the voice of Xehanort.
"Taiyo. Taiyo... Can you hear me?"
(Dive to the Heart)
Taiyo looked down to see the stained-glass pillar that depicts Ganondorf and Xehanort as they have appeared opposite from each other of the ring along with six orbs surrounding the depiction, and Xehanort's Keyblade is in the middle.
He descended below to the platform before looking around and knowing that he was in the same dream where he dwells.
"Where am I?" Taiyo asked as he heard a hoarse voice.
"My boy. It is been so long."
"Who's there?" Taiyo wondered.
Taiyo turned around to see the elderly mid-80s man, was Master Xehanort.
He has bald except for thin eyebrows and a curled, silver goatee. His ears were pointed, and his eyes are yellow. He has broad, hunched shoulders and a crooked back. His clothing is the same as that worn by his eventual Heartless Ansem. It is composed of a white and black coat with a red inner lining, which is worn over a white shirt with two thin black belts, white gloves, and calf-high black boots. The major difference between the two outfits is that Ansem wears the shirt unbuttoned, exposing the Heartless emblem on his chest. However, there are a few minor changes as well; Ansem's coat has a gold lining on its edges, whereas Xehanort's has a black lining.
"Xehanort..." Taiyo said.
"Dear boy. I haven't got much time. My soul is getting weaker!" Master Xehanort said with a solemn look.
"Were you the one who killed my father?" Taiyo asked.
"Eraqus did know what my foolish intentions. He even knew I cannot let him go, so I perish him. Ganon has corrupted me with his immense dark powers to control me." Master Xehanort said remorsefully as he coughed a lot.
"I knew you tried to do something for me and my father." Taiyo realized. "You attempted to prevent this from happening."
"Of course, I tried. It is too late, Taiyo. Ganondorf has been obsessed with Destiny Orbs and the Key of Destiny." Master Xehanort uttered.
"So you find out about the Destiny Orbs as well as the Key of Destiny. Tell me where it is." Taiyo replied.
Master Xehanort shook his head in regret. "I cannot reveal it to you since I have discovered the secret location. My second other-self, Xemnas is planning to take over Kingdom Hearts. Ganon's soul is pulling me back where I was been in control."
"He did it to you?" Taiyo asked and then spoke. "It has to be a way to break free from Ganon's soul."
"Only there is hope as long as the darkness channeled through a heart and the light will appeared before it awakes." Master Xehanort replied as his body began to fade. "No, not now! Not yet!"
"What can I tell to Mario and others?" Taiyo asked. "Did they need to know?"
"Tell nothing to them until another time approaches. I am not evil. I'm not going to let my body be used by Ganon himself. Forgive me, tell Rosalina I will look forward to seeing her. Good luck." Master Xehanort said with a small smile before disappearing from existence.
Taiyo looked in sober, knew that good Xehanort was right, and his visions were truly correct.
"If my visions were correct, Xehanort knew the fight for what's right." Taiyo said.
Another light showed above him and floated around him. It took the form of the person and revealed himself as the man who is also the deity. It was the Chinese Sun God, Hou Yi.
Hou Yi wears his metal bracer gloves, a red headband with the symbol of Supreme Mythicians, red bandages around his abs and pecs with embedded golden armor, dark brown pants with armored waist with red tied cloth around it and golden outlines and long brown boots with golden clouds patterns. He has a single hair bun with a golden hair collar and also carried the quiver on the back of his waist and the Scorching Phoenix Bow.
"Taiyo. I have met you at last." Hou Yi responded.
"Hou Yi..." Taiyo surprised. "Is that you?"
"That's right. I am born as the Sun God and Lord Archer of the Heavenly Army. For five years, my spirit used to live within your heart. In the battle, I go up against Ganon with Mario and Geno. And I have lost the one I love, Chang'e, the Moon Goddess and Lunar Priestess. She has perished in the crossfire. I held my regretful feelings for her, so Geno and I must sacrifice ourselves to banish the former Gerudo King to the Dark World." Hou Yi said.
"Am I the one who destined?" Taiyo asked.
"Yes. You are my next successor to become the warrior god." Hou Yi replied.
"So how did you awake?" Taiyo asked.
"The one you spoke of is Xehanort. At the beginning of my sole mission, I got my suspicious answer that he works for Ganondorf. But Master Xehanort has no intention of doing something devious in the end. And when the time has arrived, the last bit of his power was strong enough to wake me from a deep sleep before he was taken control." Hou Yi murmured.
"Are you sure that Xehanort is still an enemy?" Taiyo said.
"He is not a threat to me and anyone. Since I awoke, I have to wait pending the amount of time to get my powers back. Or in fact, if you were in danger but more severe." Hou Yi murmured.
"It won't be any matter to save Dylan. I can't lose my friend forever." Taiyo said.
"I know you were desperately trying to save your friend. It is sake for the Multiverse and that was the part of your goal. Once we are united, we can defeat the evil forces. Do not give up yourself." Hou Yi spoke.
"You're right." Taiyo sighed before giving his determination builds up. "I shall bring his half heart back no matter what!"
Hou Yi nodded in response. "Til the time comes, your beyond the limit is slowly begun to flow."
The Sun God changed into a ball of light and flew to the air.
The stain-glass platform was glimmering with bright light and Taiyo lifted off from the ground as the light spread across the area and blinds his vision as everything turns white.
(Mario's House - Mario and Luigi's Bedroom)
Taiyo sat right back from the bed, looked around his surrounding, and knew he was in a bedroom at Mario's house.
"I have another dream that I went down to the same place." Taiyo replied, looking over at lasagna and a glass of water. "Well, it is a good time for someone to make the dinner food for me."
Taiyo takes the plate of lasagna from a tray, grabbing the fork and slicing its food into the small piece before chewing it.
"Now I know Master Xehanort is changing sides. At least his counterparts are still evil same as Ganon's. I wish he can make it out himself alive. Thanks to him and Hou Yi, I return a favor to focus on the Mushroom Melee Battle. Don't worry, Dylan. I need more time to stay here." Taiyo uttered, set his eyes at the window to glance at the night sky with a half-moon.
Author Notes: Taiyo and Ripley were not good enough to cooperate over the strategies as the Kraangdroids viewed them as the enemies and targeted them and their teams. They have already taken the droids out, Saïx appeared before mentioned his reason to find the Dark Star that was trapped by Star Sprites somewhere below the Mushroom Kingdom. They soon confronted at Rocky Canyon, a same place where Mario and Taiyo have first fought with Demise. All four heroes including Ripley and Yixato are beaten down by Saïx's Berserk Mode but the young axolotl knocked the Nobody down and forcing him to retreat due to his major injuries. They are all return to the Mushroom Kingdom while Mario and Luigi brought Taiyo to their house where he laid rest. Don't forget to review after this!

1) Saïx have mentioned about the Dark Star that Lord Fawful obsessed to get his hands on it.
2) Saïx revealed to the heroes that Aqua is still survive in the Realm of Darkness.
3) Master Xehanort was becoming remorseful due to being controlled by Ganondorf's soul.
4) Tybalt revealed to the others that he has a real birth name which it was Moxxie.
