Okay, I'm not feeling very confident with this chapter, I'm actually feeling pretty deflated and could say this would be the test for me, but I just want to say that these things do happen in life. Especially when two people who love each other very much get caught up in the moment. No matter who they are.
Anyway, here you are.. hopefully, you'll still enjoy it. The next chapter, all being well, will be posted soon :)
After returning to their suite, they spent some time simply talking, cuddling, and enjoying breakfast in bed together before starting to prepare for their busy day ahead.
And now, standing in her closet, humming one of her favourite songs to herself, Clarisse stepped into a pair of trousers and pulled them up when she heard Joseph calling out her name. "I'm in the closet," she replied as she tucked her blouse into the waist of her trousers, and straightened it out before zipping up the side zipper. But turning back to her full-length mirror, she realised Joseph hadn't replied or come in. Smirking, she walked over to the door and opened it to find him pacing anxiously right outside the door. "You can come in, you know."
Stopping, he turned to her and stepped closer, kissing her cheek, his hand instinctively going to her side. "I'm sorry, I wasn't sure how dressed you would be," he said before watching her turn and walk across the room to her floor-to-ceiling shelving holding all her shoes. "Or if you would even want me in here while you're getting ready."
"Of course, I would, we are married now," Clarisse smiled, "so I don't see an issue, you being in here."
"I know, but I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable," Joseph said, watching her stand with her back to him, scanning over each shelf of shoes, looking for the pair she wanted to wear today.
"Joseph, my love, that's very considerate of you, but are you forgetting what happened last night?" Clarisse asked as she reached for a pair of shoes, choosing flats today after her and Joseph's antics last night had left her with a little niggle in the bottom of her back, and turned to him with them in her grasp. "You have seen me naked, and were the one who undressed me."
"Uh... yes, I did," Joseph nodded and smiled quite happily at the memory. A beautiful memory that he will remember for the rest of his life. Seeing every single bit of her, inch by glorious inch.
"And if I wasn't comfortable with you undressing me, would I have allowed you to do it?" Clarisse asked, a teasing smile on her lips as she turned sideways and bent over to put her shoes on the floor.
"You're right," he smiled, eyeing her perfect bottom as she stood back up straight, put a hand out onto one of the shelves next to her for support, and slipped on her shoes.
"Now, please relax and don't worry how I feel about you being in here when I'm either getting dressed or undressed, I'm perfectly comfortable with it," she said, walking back over to him and put her hands up to cup his face, "okay?"
"Okay," he smiled and put his hands on her sides as he leaned closer to kiss her.
"Okay," she smiled and snaked her arms around his shoulders, "because now that we are sharing this closet, and as you already know, I'm in here a lot, always changing for something or other so I'm sure at some point we will both be in here at the same time."
"Oh, don't I know it," Joseph smiled, her hand moving to the back of his neck.
"Talking of sharing this closet, look what I did for you," Clarisse smiled happily as she stepped back from him and walked over to the drawers. Opening one of them as she spoke. "I cleared out the top two for you, for your socks and boxers, in case you do get a chance later to bring some of your clothes."
"You did?" Joseph said in surprise as he followed her over to the drawers. "Where did you put your bits that were in there."
"In here, and here," she said as she opened the third drawer down, then the fourth drawer. "It was a challenge because I have a lot of pairs and sets, but I did it," she smiled as Joseph looked in the drawer, then smirked when he saw what was inside. And how many there were.
"Do you have a pair for every outfit?" He teased as she laughed.
"Something like that, yes," she laughed and moved to sit at her dressing table. "Did you manage to call your friend?"
"Oh yes, I did," Joseph said as he closed the drawers and turned to her. "He said that he will be over sometime between eleven and half past."
"Okay," Clarisse said as she checked the time on her watch, "that gives us enough time to say hello to Pierre if he's about, and check in with Mia and Lilly, make sure they're not too hungover."
"Yeah, I would be very surprised if they aren't," Joseph laughed and stood watching her for several moments, completely mesmerised, as she began doing her makeup. "You're doing it so quickly."
"I have been doing it for years, I'm a pro," she smiled, averting her gaze to him in the dressing table mirror for a brief moment before looking back to herself and continuing what she was doing. "I don't always do it this quickly though, on special occasions like yesterday, or big events and dinners I take my time."
"Well," he said, walking over to stand behind her and placing his hands on her shoulders, "you are amazing."
"Thank you," she smiled, looking at him in the mirror as he kissed the top of her head.
"I can't wait to learn so much more about you," he said as he moved to sit on the chaise longue.
"You sure you don't know everything already?" Clarisse laughed as she slumped uncharacteristically back in her chair and turned her head to look at him, "sometimes I think you know me better than I know myself."
"Oh, true, I do know a fair bit, but I didn't know that just now, so there are some things I still don't know," he smiled and rested his hands down on the seat either side of his legs. "Like there are somethings you don't know about me."
"Ooh," Clarisse laughed as she sat back up straight, "there's a lot, and I mean a LOT that I don't know about you. And I can't wait to find it all out."
"I can't either," he smiled, getting comfortable on the chaise longue and watching her intently as she continued applying her makeup.
"All done," Clarisse smiled a short time later and put the lid back on her lipstick before looking at herself in the mirror.
"Beautiful as always," Joseph smiled and watched as she smiled over at him before standing to her feet.
"I try my best," she grinned and made her way into her bathroom, to wash her hands.
"You don't need to try, you're already beautiful," he smiled to himself.
"Thank you," Clarisse replied as she came back into the closet and walked over to one of the many cupboard doors in there and opened it to reveal hundreds of her silk scarves. All different sizes, colours, and patterns.
"Okay, so I've been thinking. I know you cleared out a couple of your underwear drawers for me, which I'm very grateful for, but if I move some of my clothes here today, like we spoke about earlier, where am I going to put them?" Joseph asked as he slipped his hands in his jeans pockets.
"Well I have been thinking about that too," Clarisse said as she reached into the cupboard and pulled out a beautiful silk red and white floral scarf before closing the doors. "I think until we find a place of our own, we might need to bring a couple of clothing rails down from the storage room."
"That could work," Joseph nodded, thinking about it a moment as Clarisse moved to stand in front of her full-length mirror.
"Would you be alright if we did it that way?" Clarisse asked while folding her scarf in half, forming a large triangle.
"Absolutely, yes," Joseph nodded. "I can get that sorted later on."
"Perfect, thank you," Clarisse smiled at him in the mirror and put the scarf around the back of her neck.
"No problem," Joseph smiled and moved to stand behind her, watching in the mirror as she tied the two ends of the scarf together into a loose double knot. "You look gorgeous this morning, more so than ever," he said while stepping close behind her, so their bodies were touching, and slipped his hands onto her sides.
"Must be that 'glow' you said I have," Clarisse smiled at him in the mirror as he chuckled and tipped his head forward, going to kiss her neck before she laughed and raised her shoulders, stopping him. "Ah ah, it's because of that I'm having to wear the scarf like this today. You made my neck all red and you left a ghastly mark too."
"Hmm, I did notice that it looked a bit red," Joseph smirked and lifted his hand to her neck, pushing her scarf and the collar of her blouse down to have a look. "I'm sorry, I must have got a bit too carried away and sucked a little too much when we were making love. You know how it is when you're in the throes of passion."
"No," Clarisse said and shook her head as Joseph looked back up at her in the mirror, "no I don't know. Remember my experiences before ours were nothing like it was last night. And at my age, I feel I shouldn't have one. I'm too old."
"Well thankfully it's only a small one, and down far enough to hide easily. It will disappear soon enough," Joseph said, putting his hand back down onto her side, "but as for your age, you are never too old."
"I am, Joseph," Clarisse said as she studied his face in the mirror. "I know being with you makes me feel young, but unfortunately I'm anything but young, and I find them ghastly. I'm sorry."
"That's okay," Joseph smiled against her ear, "I'll have to be more careful what I do with my mouth next time."
"Yes, you will," Clarisse smiled, her stomach doing somersaults as he snaked his arms around her waist, holding her back against him. Remembering all the other wonderful things he had done to her with his mouth. And how it made her feel.
"I was just thinking, now that we're married and I'm going to be kissing your neck whenever I can," Joseph smiled, watching in the mirror as she bit her bottom lip and put her hands on his arms, "maybe I should shave my goatee, go cleanly shaven for a bit."
"No!" Clarisse exclaimed, taking him by surprise, as she twisted her body to look at him standing behind her. "Don't you dare shave your goatee? I'll be very upset with you if you do," she said as she turned back to face her mirror.
"Okay, I won't shave it," Joseph smiled and kissed her shoulder before looking back in the mirror at the both of them. "I love you," he whispered a moment later and kissed her cheek.
"I love you too," Clarisse smiled and bent her arm up, brushing her fingers under his chin before cupping his face with her hand. "Come on," she said after a moment and lowered her hand from his cheek and patted his arms wrapped around her waist a couple of times. "If we don't get moving we won't have time to check in with everyone before your friend gets here."
