Another short intermission chapter, but I hope you all enjoy it regardless.

Tw: Thank you. Almost.

The group made their way back to the dining room, sitting back down at the table, which once more had food assembled. For a long moment, it was silent until Jack broke it.

"Clara, she really doesn't know anything. Not about the Siren or the other versions of her The Doctor has met," Jack noted and Jane shook her head.

"No. Like I told you before, Clara wasn't aware a whole lot of what was actually happening with the Siren until it was too late. There might be a moment where she'd pause, think something she'd done was weird but dismiss it. Clara was essentially innocent of everything the Space Siren did," Jane explained.

"But from that test, she clearly wasn't very trustworthy, at least not with The Doctor's secrets," Martha noted and Jane shrugged.

"Whether it was the Siren or Clara, they did fail the test. So the TARDIS never trusted her, although it didn't change anything in the end," Jane said and a moment of silence passed between them. "Still, even without the Siren, Clara wouldn't exactly be someone I would trust."

"Clearly," Mickey muttered.

"So there's only four more of this set left?" Donna asked and Jane nodded.

"I take it they won't be any easier to see," Mickey noted and Jane grimaced.

"No, they won't. Especially the last two. You all better eat up, we're in the endgame now," Jane said grimly.

The past viewers exchanged uneasy glances, the tone in which Jane said the words causing a chill to run up all of their spines. It was clear whatever they were about to see was not going to be pleasant.

But they knew better than to push Jane for information by this point. So they began to fill their plates instead, trying to ignore the sudden onslaught of dread that filled the room as they wondered what new pain The Doctor would experience.
