Leilani had huddled herself under the blanket, just watching the clock tick. Nello had an arm around her, his attention mostly on the Tv that was quietly playing a movie she had already forgotten the title of.

She had gotten used to having Colonnello stay up for her birthday with her but it was different when the whole room was full.

She didn't really understand why the rest of the arcobaleno had wanted to join in. It wasn't like they did anything. She had no big thing going on. Just staying awake until the clock turned midnight, opening her present and then she would go to bed like nothing really happened. Sure, she had agreed to partly celebrate the day. They would have cake and she would probably annoy them with a few games or something similar.

She didn't want a real party. Back when she had been an actual child she had wished for one. Even while at Hogwarts she had wanted one but… that urge quickly died. She didn't really want it anymore. She wasn't sad or griefing over the fact but something in her just saw no real reason for it.

She had wanted to celebrate with Sirius. To have her godfather entertain her for the whole day with silly things and pranks. To maybe have Molly make the birthday cake, to have a competition with Ron who could eat the most cake, even if it was certain that he would win and she would end up with a stomach ache. Remus would have gotten her a stomach soother and Hermione would have chastised them for their stupid behaviour.

She had always fantasized about it. About an actual party where they just celebrated her but all of them were together. She knew reality could never be as good as these imaginations and… they wouldn't be here. She knew she could still have a good party but… she didn't want it. She would be constantly reminded of what was missing and she couldn't stand it, not at all.

Leilani sighed before sinking deeper in her blanket and falling on Colonnellos lap.

The rain didn't even flinch, instead pulling her closer and one of his hands in her hair, playing with her curls.

Reborn was quietly conserving with Fon. Verde was studying some of his research papers, Viper was counting some of their money and Lal had joined them on the couch to watch the bad movie, that leilani usually was quite fond of.

Leilani didn't care for the movie right now though, her face turning to hide in her rains stomach, just inhaling his scent and counting silently in her head.

The moment she had counted down, Colonnello pulled her slightly up, placing a kiss on her forehead "Happy Birthday Skull." he whispered.

She hadn't freed herself from her blanket burrito but wiggled slightly to fall back against him.

"Don't you want your present, kora?"

"Where is it?"

"We have to go outside."

She quirked an eyebrow "Outside?"

"I paid Viper to keep it hidden from you."

"You carrying me?"

He chuckled, "Sure." and with that he lifted her up in a bridal carry, "I force them to wait with their wishes until i'm done. Element privilege."

She giggled as she kept her eyes open, trying to find it.

He stopped, only for Fon to open the garage for him. Not that anything was placed inside there currently, at least nothing she could see.

Colonnello slowly sat her down, helping her to get out of her blanket so that it only layed around her, just winking at her when she was grumbling about it.

He kept on grinning and watching her as he turned her around to face a specific spot "Viper? Would you be so kind?"

Leilani could only stare, her jaw dropping as she took in the 1959 Triumph 650 T 120 Bonneville. The exact motorcycle her godfather had driven, a messy bow placed on the seat.

She was completely speechless, just staring.

Nello chuckeld "You told me about it a few times.. how your godfather had this model. That you tried to save money before the curse to afford it. You never had your own in your curse free body so… I figured this would be the right present."

She had tears in her eyes, instantly turning around, her blanket dropping as she jumped up at him, just clutching onto him. Not sure what to say but hugging him with everything she had.

He still chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her "Happy Birthday Skull." he said again.

She took a moment before she jumped down, running over just to carefully trace her fingers over the machine, just staring in straight wonder at it.

She had wanted one so badly, for so many years. The moment she had started riding she had wanted one. The same one as Sirius. She knew this one couldn't fly but… it was the same model and she had no words. She truly didn't know what to say.

Fon was shaking his head "You know it's quite unfair that you went first. How are we supposed to follow this?"

The rain laughed "Not at all. I long ago made her the promise to always give her the best possible presents."

Leilani had to rub her sleeve over her eyes to get rid of the tears in it "You certainly delivered… Nello… Thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me."

"I think I have an inkling, kora."

He stepped behind her just wrapping an arm around her "It's gonna be here tomorrow as well."

She nodded, letting her hand trail over the metal once again before turning around, her eyes still looking back at it though as she followed them back inside where she got pushed on the couch.

Viper was actually the first one to pull a wrapped package out of nowhere, handing it to the sky "Happy Birthday."

Leilani carefully unwrapped it, she had never started to rip giftwrap. In all honesty she had a secret drawer in her airship where she had kept every last one from the gifts Nello had given her.

Under the wrapping paper was a photo album and as soon as she opened it she had to laugh. It was completely filled with all the pictures Viper had taken of them when she had pranked the arcobalenos.

The miser's voice was calm "I figured as you were the direct cause of them you deserved your percentage."

"Thank you." she said, still going through a few pages.

Fon had disappeared for a moment, apparently to get his gift.

The hitman cleared his throat "Happy Birthday. My present isn't physical."

Leilani's mouth corners twitched "I have to tell you Senpai that your mere presence is really not a gift. I don't know who told you that but they lied."

"Very funny. No, I'm gifting you free tutoring."

She had to laugh "For what?"

"Flame lessons. I have a particular skill in my mind that I realized you don't have but would greatly appreciate."

She quirked an eyebrow "You sure?"

"Positiv."

"I don't want to run around in my underwear though."

"I teach Tsuna like that because it brings the best results. But don't worry, I'm going to teach you differently."

"You're capable of that?"

"You will see."

She snickered as a reply.

Lal stepped towards her next, a jewelry box in her hand "Happy Birthday."

Leilani curiously opened it up and her eyes fell on two entangled necklaces, forming a game controller together.

The soldier was slightly red "One is for Colonnello. They are magnetic."

Leilani immediately brightened up as she pulled them out, not even asking before putting the right one around Nello's neck.

The rain smiled as he carefully placed Leilanis around her neck "Thank you, Lal. The thought is appreciated."

Lal just murmeled something before stepping back.

Fon was finally back, in his arms a way too huge wrapped monstrum, just letting it fall in front of Leilani "Happy Birthday. May the next year bless you with lots of joyful occasions."

Leilani tilted her head as she tried to get the wrapping paper off as carefully as possible. it was honestly bigger than herself and she struggled slightly until Colonnello helped her.

She had to blink though as she looked at the gigantic plush Octopus in front of her.

"You… gift me a stuffed toy?"

The storm nodded "Indeed."

Leilani just stared at it for a moment "I never had one."

His voice was soft and gentle "I figured. But it's never too late to have one. Making up for what you have been missing is worth it."

She bit her lip slightly as she touched the ultra soft fabric, her throat tightening slightly as she looked at the martial artist "Thank you."

His smile serene as always but an edge warmer than usual.

Verde cleared his throat "Happy Birthday" and unceremoniously interrupted the moment to shove a small, badly wrapped gift at her.

She opened it up to look at a gamecard, no design or title on it so she just looked questioningly at Verde.

The scientist corrected his glasses "I programmed it myself. I took into account the data of your switch games. Colonnello informed me you call yourself a 'cozy gamer'. You have to build your own farm, where you grow and craft objects with the mission to humiliate and prank a hitman, that is under no circumstances related or inspired by Reborn, who terrorizes the village."

Leilani couldn't hold back her laughter as she barely managed to utter a "Thank you. this is amazing."

The scientist nodded before he gave his best to stay as far as possible away from the sun who looked more than just unimpressed at him.

Leilani giggled as she tried to pick up her new things, not forgetting the gift wrap as she wished them a good night. Colonnello helped her with the plush as they made their way up to their room.
