Leilani was once again cuddled into a blanket nest while the rest of the arcobalenos were trying to activate the sentience of their magic.

She had her teacup floating next to her, an assortment of snacks that Verde had demanded she eat in alliance with her meal plan and her switch in her hands.

She was still giggling while she played the game Verde had created for her, The hitman named 'Rebirth' was currently being bombarded with an armageddon of cakes. She actually had to farm and bake the cakes herself and the grinding for this had taken her the whole afternoon so far.

Colonnello and lal hadn't come far with their approach and the man jokingly said "Abrakadabra" while he threw his rain flames at her.

Leilani absentmindedly spoke up, still on the tasks of crafting a few glitter bombs "Careful. Avada Kedavra is the killing curse."

The arcobalenos head snapped around to look at the petite witch "The killing curse?"

She hummed letting one of the gummy strings - the ones she had sneaked along with the fruits- float to her "Yeah, you know; instant death. Unavoidable and well… 99,9% killing rate."

"Like disinfectant with germs?" Fon asked with a chuckle.

She paused, "Did you just call me a germ?"

He blinked "What?"

She pouted "That's mean."

"Excuse me?"

"I might be stubborn and maybe a tiny little bit annoying but I'm not a germ."

Reborn, having snapped another of his matches, placed the remains down "What are you talking about?"

She still pouted "You know normally people proclaim me as amazing for the fact that I'm the only one who ever survived the killing curse but Fon here calls me a germ."

Colonnello paled "You survived what?"

"The killing curse."

"Who… who did it?"

"The local madman. Voldemort, my nemesis and worst dark lord ever. Told you I killed him as a toddler, didn't I? He casted it and I reflected it back at him. That's where I got my lightning bolt scar from." She stuck her tongue out in concentration, still more focused on her game than the group.

Silence was surrounding them, their eyes still focused on the oblivious sky.

Reborn took a deep breath "Skull?"

"Yeah?"

"You're weak to illusions, right?"

"I mean yeah… they are supposed to be real after all."

"You should train that."

"Huh?" she finally looked up.

"To be on the safe side."

"Why?"

"I don't want someone to get an edge over you because of that."

"Are you… worried?"

"Skull. Just do me the favour."

She groaned "Do I have to?"

"We are all training."

"But…"

"Viper can help you."

Colonnello narrowed his eyes "You can't be serious. You want Viper to show their abnorminations to Skull?"

Viper actually tilted her head "Mou. No one said anything about that. Skull said when I used their thoughts to produce the dementor it was mind magic. I could just use her mind for it, make something she wants to see… would maybe be more productive then me trying to conjure real stones.

I can just use Skull's mind as a guideline… make a copy of you, Colonnello or show her her favourite places or something."

Leilani hummed "Might actually be worth a try. Legilimency is the art of navigating someone else's mind, almost like mind reading so… if you can do that it would still be in line with the goal."

Viper grinned "Perfect. I'm just gonna hijack your mind and pull out positive memories or something you want to see… Mou, maybe I can find out how to actively search and manifest something specific then."

Skull nodded "Sounds like a plan. I really have no clue about mind magic though. So you're totally on your own." she saved her game and jumped up from the couch to walk to the middle of the room where no one was practising.

Viper stood up as well, placing themself in front of her "ready?"

"Sure. Hit me."

To be honest all of the arcobalenos used it as an excuse to stop their fruitless endeavours to take a break and watch.

A moment later Leilani saw her parents standing in front of her. She froze "Oh."

She could only stare "Well… I know… they can't be my real parents. They are dead…" still she couldn't pull her eyes away from the way her mother smiled at her, the way her father looked proudly grinning at her.

Colonnello tilted his head "Those are your parents?"

"the illusion of them but yeah."

Fon whistled "You're a perfect mixture of both of them."

"I know. My mothers colouring and eyes and my fathers features and the way my hair well.. stands up. I got told this dozens of times."

She regained her composure again "Still that won't work Viper. I'm aware their dead and can't be here."

The mist shrugged "I only focused on stuff you want to see. I should try again then?"

"Yeah" Leilani watched her parents disappear and she had to admit it ached a little.

The next illusion let Leilani choke up, her whole body frozen stiff. Surrounding them were Hogwarts grounds, the castle right in front of her. The arcobalenos were still visible around her but she didn't acknowledge them, her eyes completely glued to the manifested people in front of her. Hermione who waved excitedly at her, Ron grinning next to her. Sirius straight next to the two just opening his arms for a hug and Leilani couldn't stop the sob from ringing out.

Hedwig landing straight in front of her. Leilani stared so desperate at them, her whole body shaking and a deep desperate longing striking through her whole core. her magic already reached out and took control of the illusion, manifesting more and more people. Luna, ginny, the twins… more and more just came and she just… she couldn't. Tears burning in her eyes as she literally choked at the sight in front of her, stumbling on the spot. This was all she wanted. All she craved. All she needed.

Reborn, more than just alarmed at her harsh reaction, stood up, almost yelling at Viper "Cut it off! Immediately!" his eyes piercing in the form of their sky, the tiny sky that was nearing a complete breakdown at the image of those she cherished.

Viper shook their head, eyes wide, "I can't. I…I lost control. She… I can't!"

His head snapped around to the mist "Change it! Anything else! I don't care! Change it!" he ordered.

Viper struggled, trying to take hold of any of their illusions, to do anything. Skulls mind wide open and actually in control of the illusion, keeping it sustained but Viper wasn't one to easily give up. Far from it, especially when the sky was in so much pain.

Unaware of their actual doing Viper used a form of legilimency, attacking Skulls mind and trying to hold on to any other memories. Anything was better after all… at least that's what they thought.

Raw emotions manifested raw memories, vulnerable ones at the same level of vulnerability Leilani was drowning in.

What Leilani was feeling wasn't positive. It was despair, desperation and pain and so… her forefront memories, the once Viper was actually able to grab and pull forwards were of similar nature.

The illusion flickered, all of them still completely surrounded when a walrus man appeared in front of them, holding an incredibly small and young redhead by her neck while throwing her with way too much force into her cupboard.

The young child just slumbing down, bruises apparent and incredibly thin. Vernon was still looming over her "I will beat the freakyness out of you, girl! None of that nonsense in my house!"

Viper was panicking hard, same as all of their bondmates. The image in front of them burned in their mind and they could only focus on trying to change it. Viper felt the control slip even further from them. Leilani's magic twirling around them, taking control, grabbing on and the only aspect of Vipers' will that was able to be realised was their wish to change it.

In quick procession Leilani's magic almost shortcutted, running wild in a perfect rendition of a legilimency attack gone wrong. The images around them rapidly changing as a result of the clash of magic and the determination of a dying will.

A younger Skull, desperately running through a dark place, her features twisted in pure panic and only a fraction of a gigantic beast behind her, barely shown before it changed again.

A dark clothed man with greasy hair imposingly standing in front of Skull, hatred and contempt burning in his eyes "Fame is clearly not everything Miss Potter. If you by all means were able to use your head at all then I dare say you wouldn't be such a failure."

It switched again and a bodiless voice was ringing out "Kill the spare" and the young boy next to Leilani got hit by the green curse.

The surrounding changed back to the chamber, Leilani trying to dodge in pure terror while the massive head of the basilisk struck out at her, a sword way too big for her tiny body clutched in her hands as she sprinted at the open mouth that was striking at her, the sword connecting with the roof of the mouth as she was almost swallowed by it, a fang piercing her shoulder.

It switched back to the graveyard. Leilani was bleeding, still bound to the tombstone and the pale face of Voldemort directly next to her, a sadistic smile on his lips as he caressed her scar "I can touch you now."

The arcobalenos were horrified, all of them watching the rapidly changing memories while Reborn was still yelling at Viper to get their illusions under control. The mist tried, they tried with all their might but even them were shaking in front of the sight in front of them.

Not one of them was watching the actual Leilani, more occupied with the illusions surrounding them.

The sky who still stood in the centre of it actually got a better grip of herself.

This… this was something she was used to. This was something she could deal with. This was danger, these were her memories. She had survived this. This wasn't what she was longing for but something she was deeply familiar with. Still she didn't move, just standing there and watching it unfold, watching herself in those situations, relieving it.

This was better, way better than seeing her friends and family. She had never lost her head in these situations, she had always pushed through and an odd calmness started to take grip of her.

The illusions switched again, hundreds of dementors surrounding the small group, their coldness even breaking out of the illusion and engulfing all of them. All of their worst memories already ringing in their heads. Significantly stronger than the fake dementor from the task with the tenth generation, before it abruptly cut off again to instead display Leilani in the chamber.

She was slumped against the wall, the clafing wound on her shoulder still bleeding and the veins surrounding it black and clearly poisoned. She was breathing hard, her form shaking in pain and her skin impossibly pale, her words only whispered "Take Ginny, Fawkes. Get her out of here. It's alright. I'm gonna die but it's alright. Get Ginny out, yeah? I managed to save her." a smile on her lips.

Colonnello was stuck on his spot. He couldn't move, horror filled his whole being. He couldn't deal with this. Not even in the slightest. This was his sky. His sky. His sky that got tormulted, Who was in pain, dying and suffering. He couldn't. He couldn't deal with it. He didn't know how. There was nothing he could do and it was breaking him.

A man looming over the tiny first year Leilani, her hands desperately stretching out to try to get the man away from the shookhold he had on her throat. Her Hands connected with his skin and she lit up in flames, burning him at a rapid pace.

The illusion switched back to the graveyard. Voldemort standing a few metres away, his wand pointed at her, the unmistaken feel of sunflames echoing through the illusion as Leilani screamed. A blood curdling scream, crouched on the floor and in more agony than anyone of the arcobaleno could even comprehend.

This scream, this ongoing loud, terrorising scream was what got Fon out of his stupor. He couldn't listen to it. He couldn't! He couldn't see this! He didn't want this! He couldn't deal with this any longer. Not the sight of the girl he cared for, the one he wanted as his sky in so much pain. He couldn't deal with seeing the reason why her nerves were damaged. He couldn't do anything, He couldn't help her and he couldn't make it stop as it had already happened.

It was at this moment, the first time Fon actually felt completely and utterly helpless that his flames broke through, for the first time completely free to act however they wished, filled with their masters' pleas and them following.

Red striking out, connecting with the illusion, shattering it completely.

Suffocating silence ruled the room, their heartbeat hammering in their ears and their eyes glued to the actual Leilani that was still standing in the middle of the room.

Leilani turned around, her head slightly tilted to the side in surprise "Oh Fon. Congrats, you did it. Your first finite."

The storm couldn't do anything but stare at the sky, at her odd calmness. All of him was shaken at seeing someone he held dear to him being tormented over and over again but the actual holder of these memories was way too calm.

Reborns voice was raw, his hand clutching onto the sofa leaning behind him "What… what was that?"

Leilani looked up at him, almost surprised. "My memories obviously."

"Your memories? Those were your actual memories?"

She hummed "Yeah, you know I told you I was never a child."

Lal was struggling to form words, still frozen in her position from before "How…what? Why are you so calm? How are you so calm after all of this? You almost died!"

Leilani actually laughed at that, a bizarre display to their shaken form "Death and danger? Death doesn't scare me neither does danger. There has never been a time where I backed down in face of it and there never will come a time where I will do that either.

No matter how scary the situation was… there is always pushing forwards. it's no big deal."
