The whistle of the kettle let both of them flinch back. Only staring at each other completely stunned for a moment before the stupor from before shattered and both of them broke out in laughter.

The rain was still laughing when he stepped away from her to take the kettle down and make the whistle stop.

Taking the moment to catch his breath. A smile still colouring his lips and happiness just rising up as he looked back at Skull. His skull, his girlfriend.

Leilani was still fiery red and she felt like someone had just unloaded a truck of feelings and dumped it on her. Her mind was still swirling around but… this was… new.

her gaze almost nervously flickering to her rain who still smiled so brightly at her.

Leilani had never had experience with love and this… this had been her first kiss.

She had never thought about their relationship. It had always been just her Nello, her Nello that she had wanted to be close to. That she needed and wanted and the only one that she had never minded when he was with her.

He had never bothered her. never been included when she wanted to be alone. Nello had been special and Nello had always been the one to make her heart flutter and this… well… this was the reason.

She might have not known what her feelings had been, had been rather clueless but… she knew she wanted this. She wanted him and… kissing him had been perfect. She hadn't even known how badly she had wanted it.

She had never known how much she had needed to get kissed by him until it… happened.
Leilani had never been one to think too deeply about things if she hadn't needed to and well.. this was probably the reason why it had caught her so off guard. Maybe she should have thought about it before, maybe she should have talked about it with someone.

Maybe she should have talked about it with Nello or lal or… but why did it matter?

This was now and this was good. Wasn't it that simple?

Her eyes flickered down to his hand, she wanted him close again. She needed his touch right now more than ever. More reassurement. She wanted him but…. but what?

She paused hard at her nervousness. What was complicated about asking for nello's touch? She had always done it. She had laid down on him just a few minutes ago. Why was it different now?

It was still her Nello… Her….

She couldn't stop her blush from darkening even more.

"Nello. Stay in front of me?" she almost stuttered out.

He tilted his head, stepping closer "What?"

She forced herself to grab his hands and place them on each of her sides so that he was leaning directly in front of her.

Even if she wanted to, she couldn't stop her face from exploding in red. "S-stay like this." she stuttered.

His eyes almost instantly wandered to her lips again and her heartbeat was exploding in her chest.

"What are you planning, kora?"

"I'm gonna get used to you."

"You…you're going to get used to me?"

"Yeah, This won't do. I can't be nervous around you. You are Nelloy. M-my Nello. So… I have to get used to you again. So stare at me."

The rains started laughing and she couldn't stop from burning up even more.

He was still chuckling but his hand had wandered to her cheek "Skull… I… the moment I realised I love you I didn't think I could love you even more but… goddamn, kora." he leaned even closer to kiss her again.

Her eyes fluttered close and her head was spinning only to shove him back and she stuttered out again "You're not helping!"

He was still laughing "Alright. Whatever you wish."

She blew her cheeks up, slightly pouting.

"Okay, kora. I'm sorry. what do you want me to do?"

"Stare at me."

He was still chuckling, leaning closer again, almost touching her forehead "Like this?"

"Stop teasing me."

"I'm just doing what you want, kora." he grinned.

"You're impossible."

He hummed "Yeah. You made me."

She didn't think it was possible but she had the feeling she was going even more red "Take this seriously."

"Yes, yes." His smile just got brighter and she had problems concentrating.

"Skull? Your blush is addicting."

She actually nudged him for that "Bad Nello."

He laughed even more, placing his forehead against her shoulder "Bad Nello?"

"Yes, we have a mission."

"Yes, sorry. But you seem to be doing fine."

"I'm red."

"It suits you." he pushed himself up to place another kiss on her cheek.

"But I'm a mess."

"Do you think I'm better?"

"But…. you did the kiss thing."

"The kiss thing?" he was laughing even more.

She blew her cheeks up once again "You're not fair."

"I'm sorry, kora." still laughter in his voice.

She pursed her lips "You might be used to this but I'm not so… get me used to it."

he leaned closer again "This was the first time I kissed you."

"Y-yeah?"

He shook his head, gently taking her hand to press it against his chest "Feel it?"

He swallowed hard, leaning even closer "You're not making this better either."

"Yes."

She stuttered again, "Yes."

"So…. completely mine."

She actually had to hide her face behind her hair at this point, way too embarrassed "Nello."

"Hmm?" he answered, already partying her hair again to be able to look at her again.

"I want to get used to you again."

"I know a better method."

"You do?"

He hummed "Staring won't help, kora."

"It won't?"

"Nope."

"Then what?"

His smile got an edge sharper as he pushed her chin up "Kissing obviously." and with that he leaned down again to catch her lips.

Honestly? He probably had lied because… her mind was a mess. She neither knew where up and down was as his lips moved against her, making her head spin, almost dizzy. But he held her, keeping her grounded with him. her mind spinning but circling around him.

Still.. she was a mess. A complete mess because and for him.

He suddenly stopped the kiss, abruptly stepping back and a spark of horror in his eyes "You're physically 16."

She narrowed her eyes "Nello."

"I…fuck."

She gritted her teeth "this again?"

"I'm sorry."

"No, you don't get to do this! Not now!"

"But…"

"You know why relationships with minors are bad? Because they are not able to consent. not because of their body. Because of their mind. I'm not mentally 16. I lived for 50 years."

Okay at this point I had to remind you of one little thing; I go with cannon

which means all those fannon establsihed things I ignore as most of the time they dont make sense

I have watched the anime several times, I read the manga several times and KHR is my favourite anime. I'm obsessed and I have been for a very long time. Which is why I even criticise everyone who comes at me with Clouds have territorities which is simply bullshit. Hibari had one, same as the rest of his family. No other cloud ever had one. It isnt even part of what makes a cloud a cloud. If you want to know what the element means? Just look at the description of what thats specific guardian is. Reborn explained it and even that doesn't make it a charcter trait.. It is what they are supposed to do. Something the tenth gen has been tested in dozens of times and failed multiple times.

Mafia ettiquette around clouds? They don't exist. Personalities that come from their flames? It doesnt exist. Inverted flames? Do not exist. Even all of them having a soulbond doesn't exist. And the list goes on endlessly.

Yes, I use some of the fannon created parts as I soemtimes like them even if they are bullshit and soemtimes it makes sense to me to use them for the sake of my stories but... stop just assuming fannon is real. Because no it isn't and as a writer I have cannon as my resource and everyhtring else is something I decide on and add if I see it fit.

Also. Lal is a rain

She was unable to use her rain flame due to her curse. She still did it though which is why she got the scar on her face

but the mist and cloud part? Its lowlevel and a simple substitute with her inability to actually use her own flame.

Lal is a rain and she literally hated having to use her mist and cloud flames and only did it as she simply couldn't use her rain anymore at this point.

I treat Lal as a rain as she is one.

Most readers in the KHR fandom at this point have never seen the show. why do I know that? because I came into contact with more than just a few of them on other webpages where I write and actually finding someone who has watched the show is rare at this point. So... before you comment on me writing bullshit... ask yourself do you even know what you're talkign about or did you get lost in fannon? Because at this point and yes I have way bigger reach on other forums as is just me posting some of my stories when I'm bored... 95% of the criticism I got was all due to people assuming fannon is real.

Fannon is cool as it keeps the fandom alive but especially in the KHR fandom? it took overhand. For 90% of the fandom fannon has replaced cannon.

If you let me reply to your messages I love to clear up misconceptions and some of y'all already gotten very extensive answers because of it. But hoenstly? Please guys remember that cannon exists and fannon at this point is an abyss away from the actual manga.
