Chapter 3 - I wanted to be like you

"It's so hot! Why is it getting hotter? Sure, we're going south but it shouldn't get this hot! It's like I'm melting here!" Bulma complained as she walked using a walking stick. The RV had run out of fuel a day ago. There was no place to fill it and Bulma didn't have any more capsules on her after Oolong had stolen them. She scowled at her two friends who were walking with barely a drop of sweat on them before she grumbled about cheating Saiyans. Gah! It makes me wish that I was a Saiyan too! Yeah, right… as if that could happen!

"Wow!" She was brought out of her thoughts at Goku's exclamation. "I guess that's why it's called Frypan Mountain!" Making Bulma look at where he was pointing only for her jaw to drop at the sight.

"Holy shit! The entire mountain is on fire! I've never heard of something like this!"

It was true. An entire mountain was literally on fire, the only thing visible from it was a large castle at the very top of the mountain.

"Cool!" exclaimed Kefla. "There must be something strong there, right?"

"Like hell we're going near that! We're only here for the Dragon Ball and then we're leaving!" Bulma took out the Dragon Radar to check where the Dragon Ball was only for her shoulders to slump in defeat. "Of course, the Dragon Ball is right in there!" Making Goku and Kefla laugh.

They were interrupted by a scream. "Eeeeek!" They turned around and saw a girl being chased by a massive Tyrannosaur.

Bulma had seen many strange things since she had first started her journey; teenagers who wouldn't have looked out of place in first grade, said teenagers having monstrous strength, Ki and a literal mountain on fire. Still, she was shocked by seeing a seemingly seven years old girl (And Bulma learnt not to assume someone's age after meeting Goku and Kefla) wearing literal Bikini Armour!

"Down, boy!" the girl screamed, "Don't you dare come any closer!" she said, raising her hands to the thing on top of her helmet. It actually detached, revealing a bladed boomerang before she threw it at the dinosaur. The boomerang sliced the Tyrannosaur's head off before it did what every boomerang did and went back and attached itself to the helmet.

The girl saw the dead dinosaur and the blood and shrieked. "EEEEK!" a tear in her eyes for a moment before she glared (while still looking terrified) at the dinosaur's corpse. "Ooh! This is just too darn freaky! Get out of here!" she yelled as she put her index fingers on a jewel in the middle of the helmet. A freakin laser beam erupted from it and vaporised the dinosaur's corpse leaving nothing behind.

She started for a moment before she started running toward them while crying. "That was too damn scaaary!" The girl then noticed them, gasping before she glared at them. "It's one menace after another here!"

Wow… this girl is a psycho. Thought Bulma as the girl raised her hand ready to fire her death ray again, only for Kefla to vanish and appear behind the girl. Kefla delivered a chop to the back of the girls' neck, knocking her out.

"What a crazy brat." Said Kefla, making Bulma nod in agreement.

"Let's just get out of here and find the Dragon Ball."

-]||[-

There was a village at the foot of the mountain. Although, all that remained of it was molten rocks, ruins and many, many skeletons. Goku had never seen a human skeleton before, as his grandpa was merely a red paste after the monster was done with him, so he was interested in the various skeletons scattered around. Each one of them wore different clothes, some older than the others. He could hear Bulma and Kefla talking as he poked a skeleton, checking it out.

"Bulma! Can I keep this skull?"

"Jeez! Why would you want a skull, Kefla?"

"It'd look cool! I can make it a night lamp!"

"Jeez, you have some weird tastes… just do whatever that you want."

Goku turned around. "So, where exactly is the Dragon Ball, Bulma?"

Bulma pointed at the castle at the very top of the mountain. "The Dragon Radar says it's there, but I don't know how we'd reach it… Goku, can you try flying in there?"

He stared at the mountain for a moment before he shrugged. "I won't know until I try." He floated before he rocketed toward the mountain.

As he got closer, the heat was getting more and more unbearable even for him. He reached the castle, floating several meters above it. "Well, here goes nothing…" Goku dropped himself toward the castle, but as he got closer he felt his very skin burn. "Owww! Hot! Hot! Hot! Hot!" forcing him to rise again to escape the burning heat. "I guess we won't be able to get it… I better get back and tell them."

-]||[-

Meanwhile, Bulma and Kefla were lazing around waiting for Goku to come back again. Bulma noticed a capsule on the ground, she bent to pick it up unknowingly saving her life as a gigantic axe as big as she was buried itself in the wall behind her passing through the space that her head occupied just a moment ago.

"KYAAH!" Bulma screamed from the fear and shock of nearly dying.

"Hey, who did that?" Kefla yelled as she took a fighting stance.

Heavy footsteps sounded, shaking the whole ground as an absolute unit of a giant made his presence known through the dense cloud of smoke that covered the area because of the fire. He was a barbaric looking giant wearing old armour, a red cape and a big horned helmet with protruding goggles.

"What are you doing here on my land?" The giant man thundered making Bulma jump as she paled looking at the strong-looking giant that almost killed her.

"Who are you? Why did you attack Bulma?" Kefla growled as she stepped closer. Kefla checked the giant man's power level and it was nearly as strong as both her and Kakarot combined. It'd not stop her from fighting the man who almost killed Bulma, but it'd make her more cautious as this was the first time she fought someone far stronger than her. If she was alone, then she'd have started a fight right away, but seeing the difference in power, Kefla needed to make sure to win or weaken him enough for Kakarot because if they didn't win, it was over for Bulma.

"I'm the Ox King and you need to get off my lawn! I'm sure you little thieves are after my treasure!"

Bulma interjected. "Sir, we're not after your treasure. I'm rich and don't really need the money."

The Ox King seemed to relax before Kakarot came back at that moment. "Hey, Bulma! Kefla! I couldn't get into the castle!" He then noticed the Ox King. "Oh, hey. Who are you?"

For a moment, there was a pause. No one said anything as the Ox King visibly grew angrier while Bulma paled and Kefla readied herself for a fight.

"You bastards!" The Ox King roared. "So you really were after my treasure! Didn't your parents teach you that lying is bad!?"

Pandemonium broke out. Bulma ran to hide behind a wall just as the Ox King punched the still flying Kakarot and sent him crashing into some molten ruins. Kefla dashed forward, her leg raised as she delivered a high kick. The Ox King staggered but otherwise was fine. Kakarot came back with his Power Pole already extended as he swung it at the Ox King who blocked it, crossing his arms over his head.

"T-That weapon! Is that the Power Pole? Do you know someone named Son Gohan?" The Ox King suddenly asked, the excitement in his voice brought them to a stop.

"Yeah, he was my Grandpa. Did you know him?" Kakarot answered as he stood beside her, both of them eyeing the Ox King warily.

"Know him?" The Ox King laughed, causing shockwaves around him. "What a small world! Man, that brings back memories!" He exclaimed as he sat down, Kefla saw Bulma peak from her cover. "Both of us learnt under the tutelage of the invincible Master Roshi! I was his number 2 student while your grandpa was number 1!"

That did raise Kefla's interest. If the number 2 student was this strong, she wondered how strong their master is. It was a shame that Kakarot's grandpa had died, both for Kakarot's sake and the missed chance at fighting him.

"Really? That's so cool! My grandpa never told me where he learnt his martial arts." Kakarot was sure excited about meeting someone who knew his late grandpa and it showed on his face.

"Yeah. Master Roshi is the strongest that there is. He's the only one that I think can help me put out the fire! In fact, I sent my daughter to try and bring him back."

"Your daughter?" Bulma perked up. The expression on her face made it clear what she thought of any daughter of the giant in front of them. Kefla couldn't blame her as she couldn't imagine what kind of daughter this Ox King has.

"Yeah," the Ox King pulled out a picture. "This is my daughter, Chi-Chi!" He declared, pride evident in his voice. "Maybe I'd give you her hand in marriage, eh?" That did make Kefla scoff. As if she'd allow Kakarot to be with some random floozy. She would never allow Kakarot to be with someone that was weak or had no respect for their Saiyan heritage.

As the Ox King showed them the picture of his daughter, Kefla hit her palm when she saw who it was. "Ah! That's the crazy girl that I knocked out when she tried to attack Bulma!"

…..

Cricket sounds.

There was a smack as Kefla saw Bulma in the corner of her eyes facepalm. Hard.

"You dare harm my sweet and beautiful daughter!" the Ox King roared furiously as he rushed, picking the axe from its place before he swung it down on them.

Kefla and Kakarot dodged before they charged the mad giant. "Seriously, both father and daughter are psychos!" yelled Kefla as she dodged another axe strike.

"Hey! Kefla only knocked her out because she tried to hurt Bulma!"

The Ox King didn't appear to be listening as he swung at Kakarot. Kefla took the chance to charge a Ki blast and strike his back. The Ox King yelled in pain as he staggered, parts of his armour destroyed and there was a visible wound even if it was shallow.

"Why, you!" The Ox King growled as he turned around to attack her, but Kakarot used his Power Pole in a sideways swing that hit the Ox King's head, sending him crashing into the ground.

Kefla looked at the Ox King, who was getting up, curiously. While his strength is stronger than ours, he doesn't seem adept at using Ki and he's much, much slower than us. It seems that he hasn't fought anyone near his strength in a long, long time.

"Huff… huff…" the Ox King wheezed as he stood up again. "You're strong, but don't underestimate me!" He declared as he ran toward them, faster than before, taking them by surprise.

Kefla found herself launched into the ground, through some molten rocks that burned her clothes and skin, by a punch from the Ox King making Kakarot shout her name. She stood up immediately, spitting a little blood as she felt the blood in her veins rushing, excited to fight.

She flew back to join the fight just as Kakarot fired several Ki blasts at the Ox King. The Ox King used his axe to deflect some of them, but the rest hit him, causing several injuries but nothing serious enough to take him out of the fight. Kefla flew in faster, using her speed to headbutt the Ox King straight in the chest, knocking the air out of his lungs.

"You brats!" the Ox King growled as he threw the axe at Kefla. She didn't have time to dodge, but Kakarot suddenly appeared swinging his Power Pole with all his strength to send the axe back at the Ox King.

Kefla scowled at him. "I could've taken care of that!" She was annoyed that he had helped her. She wasn't so weak that she needed saving like that.

Kakarot just grinned sheepishly at her but he didn't apologise, making her huff in irritation.

"Anyway, I have a plan, but you need to distract him for a little while."

"Sure!"

Kakarot flew back to join the fight while Kefla floated, trying to concentrate on her next attack. While her Ki control was good she wasn't that good and her next attack was a special one taught to her by her mother's hologram, and even now she hasn't mastered it fully yet as it required a lot of Ki control. She held out both her hands as the ball of Ki began to form, getting bigger by the second.

She saw Kakarot attack the Ox King. Kakarot dodged a punch before he launched a flurry of attacks using his Power Pole. Swings, thrusts and swipes that either were blocked or hit their target. The Ox King finally managed to grab the Power Pole, raising it overhead with Kakarot still clutching the other side before he swung it down, smashing Kakarot into the ground with a big impact. Of course, Kakarot wouldn't be knocked out by something like this, so Kefla wasn't really worried.

She focused on her Ki as the ball was getting compressed, getting smaller and smaller. The next stage was rotating the sphere of Ki so it'd be like a drill or vortex. That was the hardest part for Kefla as it needed incredible control. She didn't really spend much time working on this technique as while she loved to train, she sometimes lazed around, especially without facing any threat on this planet before. A simple powerful Ki blast seemed more than enough, so she focused on raising her strength and Ki rather than her control.

Just as she managed it, noise from below drew her attention.

"HAAAAA!"

The Ox King was charging a large ball of Ki while aiming at her, Kakarot nowhere in sight. Ki obviously wasn't his strong suit as the ball wasn't entirely stable, threatening to explode in his face as it grew larger and larger. It was no less dangerous though.

"HAAAA!" The Ox King roared again as he launched it at her, the giant Ki ball moving at her with an incredible speed. Kefla couldn't dodge it in time without disturbing her technique, and she'd not get another chance to do it right.

For a moment, Kefla froze. Undecided whether she should abandon her technique and try to take him down normally even if it'd take a long time with how little damage they did, or soldier on and try to take the large blast on.

She never got to decide as another roar grabbed her attention, and a moment later another large Ki blast, although not as large as the first one but much more refined, hit the attack. It sent it off her path before they both exploded. A gigantic explosion erupted, sending a shockwave that nearly threw her off balance.

Ah, right. How could I forget that I had a third option? Kefla chided herself for forgetting that she had the option of trusting Kakarot to do his job.

Well, I better do mine. She thought as she brought her hands together, the spinning spheres in her hand clashed together, each rotating around itself in a different direction that attracted them to each other. They began spinning around each other like a vortex, their surfaces touching.

"Magnetic Bomb!" Kefla yelled as she launched her attack. It travelled so fast that the Ox King barely managed to raise his axe to block it despite the distance. The attack struck the axe, the Ox King's arm rattling under the impact before the axe broke as the attack resumed its path hitting him straight in the chest. The Ox King was propelled back in a cyclone of wind explosion as the orbs ground his body.

"Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The Ox King howled in pain as crashed into a nearby hill before the Ki sphere actually exploded, injuring him further.

Kefla landed on the ground, panting. She waited for the dust to settle to see what happened as Kakarot approached her.

"Wow, that was an amazing attack, Kefla! How did you do it?" Kakarot asked eagerly, getting into Kefla's personal space.

Kefla smirked smugly. "I don't know~"

"Come on~" Kakarot whined, making her smirk get bigger.

She put a finger on her chin and the other hand on her hip. "Hmm~ I guess I could show my minion some tricks…"

Kakarot immediately scowled at her. "Hey! Who are you calling your minion?!"

"You of course! I'm the stronger one between us after all."

"Like hell, you are!"

Before they could continue to bicker, a pair of hands enveloped them both in a tight hug.

"That was amazing! And so scary! I'm glad that both of you are okay!" Bulma exclaimed as she buried both of their heads into her chest. Kefla felt her cheeks heat up as despite sleeping together the other day, she wasn't used to contact with other people since she spent her life before meeting Kakarot and Bulma alone.

"You're okay, right?" asked Bulma as she began fussing all over their injuries. They had some scratches, wounds and bruises and their clothes were damaged but they were otherwise perfectly fine.

Kefla waved her off. "We're fine, Bulma. This is nothing." Their attention was grabbed by a noise from the dust cloud as a figure emerged.

She and Kakarot got into fighting stances while Bulma took a few steps back. The Ox King emerged from the dust while using his broken axe as a walking stick. He was clearly struggling as he nearly toppled over. His armour was heavily damaged, wounds and blood littered his chest and he was visibly panting. He did look far better than he had any right to after taking that attack, but it was clear that he won't be fighting anymore.

"Huff… huff… I… Y-You're strong… I'm ashamed that I won't be able to avenge my daughter! B-But… huff. You should be ashamed… grandson of Gohan."

"For the last time, moron!" Kefla pointed at the giant after she and Kakarot relaxed their stances. "We didn't kill your stupid daughter! We only knocked her out because she tried to attack us!"

It seemed as her words finally got into the Ox King's thick skull as he opened his eyes in shock. "R-Really?" He sighed in relief as he slumped to the ground, unable to walk anymore. "T-That's a relief… I'm sorry that I attacked you then! I told my daughter many times to never attack without getting the full picture, but she never listened! I wonder where she gets it from…"

Kefla and the rest could only deadpan at that.

"Huff… Would you be opposed to helping me get rid of the fire? I'd give you a part of my treasure of course!"

"We have no need for your treasure," Bulma interjected, hands on her hips. "However, if you give us your Dragon Ball, then we'd help you."

The Ox King looked at her confused. "My Dragon Ball? What's that?"

Bulma fished one of the Dragon Balls out of her bag. "This. This is a Dragon Ball. So, do we have a deal?"

"Ah, yes. I remember seeing that weird thing before. Well, if that's all you want, then of course!"

"Great!" Bulma clapped her hands together. "How can we help you though? We couldn't get near the fire, same as you."

"The only one that I know that could do it is my old master. Muten Roshi."

"That sounds great and all, but we don't know where this Roshi guy lives." Bulma pointed out.

"I left the paper with the directions to his house with my daughter Chi-Chi. Take her with you to him and ask him for his assistance."

"I'll go get him then." Kakarot offered to step up.

"I'll go too." Said Kefla. She didn't think she had the patience to stay and wait for Kakarot, and Bulma was safe here as she didn't sense any malice from the Ox King and he was too hurt to move or attack Bulma.

-]||[-

She and Kakarot had flown over to where they had met the Ox King's daughter. They found her still unconscious on the ground. Kefla nudged the sleeping girl with her leg. "Hey, wake up!"

Chi-Chi stirred, holding her head. "Oooh…" she groaned before her eyes widened at seeing them. She jumped up with her hands moving toward her helmet again. "I-It's you again!"

Kefla moved fast, catching both of her arms and holding her down while Kakarot just laughed. "Talk about trigger happy. Do you just attack everyone that you see, Chi-Chi?" Kefla jeered.

"H-How do you know my name?"

Kakarot stepped closer, still snickering. "Your father has told us. We just met him along with a friend of ours. He sent us to get the Muten Roshi guy, but we need to know where he lives from you."

"Yeah, hand over the paper that your father had given you." Add Kefla gruffly.

Chi-Chi shook her head. "No! I'm going with you! My father gave it to me, not anyone else!"

"And how would you come with us, then? Not unless you can fly!" Said Kefla as she leaned in, glaring at Chi-Chi with her hands on her hips.

"I either go with you or you won't be getting the paper!" Chi-Chi looked at Kakarot and blushed. "He can carry me with him."

Kefla narrowed her eyes at that unconsciously. "Keep dreaming , you floozy. If you need to go then I will be the one carrying you or you can stay here and we can take our chances at finding where the old dude lives."

Chi-Chi huffed and stayed silent for a moment before she nodded.

Kefla smirking took a hold of her wrist. "Now, let's get going." And she rocketed along with Kakarot making Chi-Chi scream.

-]||[-

They made their way towards the ocean again. Apparently, the old master's house was on a tiny island far away in the ocean. Kefla had since adjusted Chi-Chi, having enough fun to annoy the little brat.

It took them even more time to reach his house. The island was tiny. With a small pink house with a red roof and a big 'Kame House' written on it. There was nothing else on the island aside from a few palm trees. An old guy with a turtle shell was using a broom to sweep the ground.

"Heeey!" Kakarot yelled. "Are you that Roshi guy?" he asked as they landed in front of the old man.

"Oh!? Yes, I'm Master Roshi, the Turtle Hermit. And who might you be young kids? And how were you flying? Are you by any chance disciples of the Crane School?"

The old man was short but still taller than her and Kakarot. He was bald, with a thick white fu Manchu moustache and a beard. He wore an orange Hawaiian shirt with old fashioned sunglasses and a big turtle shell on his back. He also had a walking stick in his hand.

Kakarot took charge of the situation. "I'm Goku, this is Kefla and Chi-Chi. We were sent here by the Ox guy. He said that he was your student and needed your help to put out the fire at his home. Chi-Chi is his daughter… Ah, and I don't know anything about Crane School. Kefla taught me how to fly."

Chi-Chi stepped forward after sending a glare towards Kefla. "I'm Chi-Chi. My father is Gyūmaō the Ox King and we need the Bashō-sen to put out the fires of Frypan Mountain!"

"Ox King? I've not seen him in decades. And you're his daughter? I didn't know that he had a cute daughter like you. You say your mountain is on fire? Then the Bashō-sen would certainly help." He said as he started stroking his beard. "The Bashō Fan. It's a magic fan that can raise a Typhoon in a single wave, a thunderstorm in two and a monsoon in three!"

Kefla saw Chi-Chi perk up, apparently, that was what they needed.

"Of course I can lend it to you… if it wasn't for the fact that I spilled soup on it! It got stained so badly that I threw it away!" He said, making all of them fall to the ground with their legs in the air.

As Chi-Chi started hitting the old master, Kefla checked out her scouter to see how strong he really was.

"5…" Kefla's eyes widened. "This is the invincible Master Roshi? It doesn't make any sense!"

Chi-Chi had finished hitting Roshi as he was on the ground rubbing his injured head. "Don't worry, young lady. I'll just go personally and put out the fire myself."

"Can you really do it, old man? You don't look like much." Asked Kefla, feeling as if she was missing something. Logically, the old master should be stronger than the Ox King, but he was far, far weaker.

"Oho? Do you doubt my power, young lady? Don't be fooled by appearances, there's nothing that the great Master Roshi can't do."

Kefla crossed her arms with an unimpressed look. "We'll see, old man." Making him chuckle.

"Hey, Kefla! Look who's here!"

Kefla looked to see Kakarot standing beside the turtle that they'd met a while ago. Kefla's eyes widened at the unexpected surprise. "Oh, you're here too, Turtle!"

"My, oh, my! It's you two! Where is the purple-haired girl?"

"She's waiting for us to get Master Roshi," Kakarot explained. "How are you, Mister Turtle?"

"Oh, I've never been better now that I'm back home. Thanks to you guys."

The old man interjected into the conversation. "Oho? So you guys know each other?"

"Yes, sir. These two and another girl who isn't here were the ones who saved me and got me back to the ocean."

Master Roshi scratched his beard. "So you were the ones who helped my friend here… Well, I owe you one, and I'm paying you up with a mighty reward!" He said before he pointed his stick at the sky. "Come to me… Immortal Phoenix!"

….

…..

They waited for a few minutes and yet nothing happened.

"Sir… if you recall the unpleasantness with the tainted seed…" Said the Turtle.

The old man grimaced. "Ugh… That's right. We've lost the poor feller… left quite the mess too…"

Kefla raised an eyebrow, she didn't truly understand what a Phoenix is, but the immortality part was pretty obvious. "So, that Phoenix was as immortal as you're invincible then."

The old man gave her the stink eye but otherwise ignored her. He pointed again at the sky. "Come to me, Kinto'un!"

This time something actually happened as a small golden cloud made its way down and stopped in front of the old-timer. "This is Kinto'un, and I give it to you."

Kefla looked at the cloud dubiously. "A cloud?"

"Yeah, Master Roshi. What are we going to do with it? It's not like we can eat it." Kakarot added as he circled around the cloud, checking it out.

"Well, you ride it! What else would you do with a cloud?" The old man answered if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "This is a magic cloud. It'll take you wherever you desire, but unless you're pure of heart, it'll never let you ride on! This cloud got standards, let me tell you!" he then jumped as he said, '' Here, let me show you!" only for him to pass through the cloud and fall on his butt.

Kefla, Goku and Chi-Chi fell to the ground laughing while clutching their bellies.

"I-It may be defective." The Turtle offered, trying to lift its master's spirit.

"… I think it needs some mystical tune-up…" offered the old man, which only made them laugh harder.

After a few moments, they managed to get a hold of themselves while he scowled at them. It almost made them start laughing again.

"Are you really sure you're the Invincible Master Roshi? You don't seem able to do anything."

The old man glared at her. "Younglings these days. They don't show proper respect." He grumbled. "You'll eat your words young lady when you see me putting that fire out." He finished with a smirk.

Yeah, we'll see… Thought Kefla as she rolled her eyes at the old-timer.

"Anyway, Master Roshi…" Kakarot started. "Kinto'un is kind of useless to us when we know how to fly in the first place."

The old man facepalmed. "How could I forget that when I saw you!?... However, that leaves the question of what should I give you, guys."

"Hey, what's that on your neck, Master Roshi?"

Kefla looked to see what Kakarot was pointing at, only to see that the old-timer had a freaking Dragon Ball hanging on his neck, and below his beard.

"Give us that ball, old-timer!"

The old man raised his eyebrow. "You want this old thing, truly?" he shrugged as he took it off his neck. "I just found it on the ocean's floor a hundred years ago or so… never knew what it was."

"Thanks, old man! This is a Dragon Ball!"

His eyebrows shot up, apparently recognizing the name. "This small thing? I thought it was a myth…" his voice grew quieter and if it wasn't for her enhanced hearing, Kefla wouldn't have heard him. "Shit, I guess I owe my sister some Zeni. I hope that she has forgotten about our bet… it has been more than one hundred years after all!"

"Ok, let's roll." The old master said as he went inside his house for a few minutes before he got out, wearing a new set of clothes.

"Why did you change your clothes?" Asked Kakarot.

"Heh, heh, heh… I figured it was about time that I look professional. Can't leave my house all that distance wearing my old clothes!"

"Ok, get onto Kakarot's back while I get Chi-Chi with me and we'll fly you there," Kefla ordered before they got ready and flew towards their destination.

-]||[-

"This is the Invincible Master Roshi? All our hopes are on him?" Goku snickered at the disbelief in Bulma's voice. Master Roshi didn't really look like much, but Goku had a feeling that was stronger than he actually looks. He did teach his grandpa after all.

Master Roshi seemed to focus on Bulma, a weird grin on his face. "Oho~ what do we have here? A nice beautiful young lady~ hehehe."

Bulma crossed her arms over her chest as she took a step back. "He's a disgusting pervert too! Hey, Ox-King, are you sure this guy is the real deal?"

The Ox King stepped forward. Goku noticed that he had already bandaged his injuries. "Gahahah. That's my old master, alright!" he laughed boisterously before he bowed to Master Roshi. "Long time no see, master. Have you really came to help me out?"

"Father, you're hurt!" Chi-Chi yelled as she began fussing over her father.

Master Roshi ignored the Ox King for a moment as he gazed upon the fire mountain. "Hmm… That's an inferno alright." He turned at the Ox King before he glared at him. "I've heard a lot of bad things about you, Ox… Attacking people and hurting them over treasures. Is that what I taught you?"

Ox king immediately bowed, bawling his eyes out, shocking everyone present except Master Roshi. "Oh, the shame! Please forgive me, Master Roshi! I've been blinded by greed. I-I'll destroy my treasure!"

Master Roshi shook his head. "Now, let's not go overboard. However, keep in mind, if I ever hear those kinds of rumours again about you. I'll come again and then I'll be angry."

"Y-You're most gracious, master! Please, I only want to get my home back!"

Master Roshi looked over the fire again, shaking his head in disappointment. "Really? Are you telling me that you can't get rid of such tiny flames? Now that's really disappointing" He then looked at Bulma with another weird expression on his face. "I'll do it. However, I need the pretty girl here to motivate me, hehehe~" he said with wriggly fingers, making groping motions.

Bulma hit him on the top of his head. "Like hell, I will, you perverted old man!" her eyes were narrow and her teeth sharp just like anytime she was angry.

"Don't you want to help this poor family? Don't be so selfish! Some, pat pat or puff puff we'll be more than enough!" Master Roshi admonished her, apparently greatly disappointed with Bulma's choice.

"Selfish? You're the pervert who's trying to use their misfortune to touch a girl too young to be his granddaughter! I'm barely sixteen you creep!"

Before he could ask Bulma what made her so angry, Kefla beat him to the punch. "Hey, Bulma. Is this guy bothering you? Did he ask something weird? Should we kick his ass?"

Goku didn't really understand what was going on, but if Bulma was annoyed. Master Roshi or not, he'll kick his ass. So he also took a fighting stance.

Seeing them, Master Roshi raised his hands in the air. "Now, now… Don't be so hasty. There is no need for any ass-kicking here. I didn't know how young she really is!" He pointed an accusing finger at Bulma. "It's your fault for having those misleading curves!"

"Hey! How's my natural beauty my fault!"

Before they could continue to bicker, the Ox King stepped in. "Can you first put out the fire before you continue your argument, Master Roshi?"

Master Roshi muttered quietly. "Yeah, yeah. Don't let an old man have his fun…" before he nodded.

Master Roshi took off both his Turtle Shell and his shirt, revealing a very skinny old man. He looked at Bulma and winked at her. "Not bad for an old man, eh?" making Bulma give him a blank stare. Undeterred, he started to climb a wall near him. "Um… Hey, kid. Give me a boost will ya?"

"Really? No, seriously. Is this guy really the Invincible Master Roshi?" Asked Bulma in disbelief as Master Roshi flailed his hands, trying to balance himself on top of the wall making Goku snicker at that while Kefla just rolled her eyes.

Master Roshi sighed. "Why does everyone keep on asking me that?"

"Do you really want me to answer that?" Snarked Kefla.

Master Roshi sighed and muttered something about 'impatient younglings' before he steadied himself. "Ok… here goes…"

Suddenly, the world changed. Master Roshi looked serious as the very air around them was changing, warping around his body. The weak old master was gone, and his place was a powerful man, his presence alone chilled Goku. Then, his muscles strained before they bulged. He moved his arms into a weird stance before the rest of his body also bulged. He looked like a hulking man made of pure muscles.

Everyone's jaws dropped at the shocking sight. Goku was sure he heard Kefla gasp and mutter something about power levels, but he was too entrapped by whatever Master Roshi was doing.

"I-It's begun! The master's Kamehameha wave!" The Ox King announced.

Slowly, Master Roshi placed both of his arms in front of his chest. His fingers curled and his hands touching at the wrist. "Ka…" he started. "Me… Ha…" He moved his hands to his side. "Me..." a brilliant golden glue formed between his hands. A blazing Ki ball. "HAAAAAA!" He thrust his arms forward, the Ki orb transformed into a brilliant beam of light like a shooting star rushing through the heavens. Everyone stared, entranced by the golden beam as it raced towards the mountain and hit home.

It exploded creating a miniature sun that blinded everyone. The shockwave and explosion were bigger than anything that Goku or Kefla could ever hope to create at the moment. Then, after a moment it was gone… along with the mountain.

Master Roshi, back into his skinny form, sat on the wall after he wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Phew… that was a big one."

Goku stared stupefied at the technique and its power. "AA-A-Amazing…"

Kefla besides him was having the same expression as she stared gobsmacked at the technique.

"Um… Master Roshi…" the Ox king started. "You did put out the fire…. B-But…" The Ox King pointed at where his mountain and castle used to be. "You blew away the mountain and my castle!"

"Eh?" Master Roshi stared in shock before he blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Oops. I think I overdid it. Don't know my strength anymore, hehehe~" he said, making everyone fall to the ground, twitching in shock.

"Ok, found it!" Announced Bulma as she dug out the Dragon Ball from the rubble. They've been searching for a while now on Bulma's order.

They've made their way back to find that Master Roshi was still there.

Goku made his way to him alongside Kefla. He knew that she also wanted to learn that Kamehameha technique, but she seemed to be staring at the weird device that she had on her ear, now in her hand, and Master Roshi.

"Hey, Master Roshi!" Goku called, feeling the excitement in his chest at the chance of learning such a new technique. "Teach me that thing you just did, will you?"

Master Roshi snorted. "Ha! Dream on, lad! It takes fifty years of hard training to get that technique!"

"Prepare to eat your words, old pervert." Said Bulma who stood with her hands on her waist. "Now do it, you two!"

Goku smiled at Bulma's confidence in him while Master Roshi scoffed.

Both he and Kefla stood side by side as they copied Master Roshi's pose and actions. "Ka… Me… Ha… Me…" A brilliant red Ki formed in between Kefla's hand, while Goku's Ki was blue. "HAA!" they both roared, thrusting forward as two different Ki beams raced forward. Nowhere as big as Master Roshi's but they were nothing to scoff at as each hit a house and destroyed it in a brilliant explosion.

Everyone except for Bulma stared in shock at them both.

"W-What? How?" Asked a stupefied Master Roshi.

"He… He… He just…" The Ox King scratched his head. "He is Gohan's grandson after all…"

Master Roshi looked at the Ox King in shock as both Goku and Kefla grinned at them. "Gohan? You mean Son Gohan?"

"Eh, you didn't know?"

Master Roshi looked at Goku. "Now that you mention it. He did mention that he picked up a kid with a weird monkey tail…" He turned to look at Kefla. "He didn't mention her though, but she has the same tail…" he paused to think for a moment before he made his way towards them. "Now, laddie. How's old Gohan doing?"

"He's dead," Goku answered bluntly.

"Dead! Oh, my… what a loss… I-"

Kefla interjected, "before that! What the hell are you?" she pointed at her scouter device. "This scouter gives me readings of other's power levels, and yet when I met you it said that you had a power level of 5! When you performed that technique, it rose to 275! How the hell did you do that?!"

Master Roshi chuckled. "Hehehe. Don't worry about it, young lady. That device of yours is impressive but useless here."

"Useless?" question Kefla.

Master Roshi nodded. "Yes. Any fighter worth his salt can mask his power easily. Suppressing it down and only letting it show when he needs it." He chuckled. "I can teach it to you and how to sense other people without the use of that old thing." Master Roshi pointed at Goku and Kefla. "That's what I was actually about to say. Would you like to move in with me, both of you? You might outdo me one of these days given the talent that I just saw." He paused for a few moments, stroking his beard. "Son Gohan was one of my favourite pupils and he was a great man and talented fighter. I'd be honoured to teach his grandson."

Goku whooped in the air. "That sounds great!" Both he and Kefla announced, excited for the new training by the obviously strong master.

Goku looked back to Bulma to see her talking with the Ox King about something before he saw her hand him some money. He shrugged and turned back to Kefla. "Just you wait until we train under Master Roshi. I'm going to prove that I'm stronger and kick your ass!" He said, teasing her.

Kefla scowled at him. "Like hell, you will!"

They stared at each other for a while before they started chuckling. Goku turned toward Master Roshi. "We'll have to finish our quest first though."

Roshi nodded. "Sure. I'll be waiting for you…"

"You need a lift to your island?"

"Nah, my boy. I want to get back on my own. Flying isn't really my thing."

Goku nodded, but before he could say more he was interrupted by Chi-Chi. "H-Hey, Goku. Can we talk alone?" Her cheeks were slightly red, confusing Goku but he nodded.

They walked a few meters away from everyone else and stopped. Goku stayed silent for a minute waiting for Chi-Chi to talk. She was blushing and fidgeting, confusing Goku.

"What is it?" He asked her, getting impatient.

"Hey, Goku… When you're old enough." She giggled, her face still red. "I'll bet my father would give you my hand…"

Goku looked confused at her, truly lost at what she was getting at. "Huh? What'd I do with your hand?"

"Don't play innocent now~ will you marry me when we get older?"

Goku tilted his head. He knew what marriage was because of Bulma. Although he didn't understand why he would need to cut off her hand. Whatever floated her boat, he guessed. He thought about what Bulma had told him about marriage. He didn't know why she would want them to get married. Not even a half-day has passed since they've met. He didn't know if he liked Chi-Chi, she seemed annoying. And he didn't think he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, not like Bulma and Kefla. Bulma also said it wasn't simple, but before he could refuse her, Kefla was suddenly in front of him. Her arms crossed over her chest and were glaring at Chi-Chi.

"Don't get silly ideas! As if I'd allow a Saiyan to marry a floozy like you!``said Kefla with a cold tone that chilled even Goku. Kefla didn't even let Chi-Chi reply as she took Goku's hand and dragged him with her. "Come on. Bulma is waiting for us."

Bulma was indeed waiting for them inside the car. "Come on, you two. Let's go!" Goku and Kefla turned toward the Ox King and Master Roshi. "Take it easy! Bye-bye! Let's meet again!"

He paced through the lab. The latest solution didn't work. Again. It wasn't easy, altering life or creating it, but he was a genius like no other. If there were anyone who could do it then it was him.

He had a plan. A risky project really. His hardest so far.

It was different from his other projects. He wasn't depending on something that existed and built from there. It wasn't any form of enhancement or improvement, but rather building it from the ground. From the smallest part to its biggest organ. The Third Generation series would prove to be his magnum opus. The very pinnacle of his research, but it was still far from being complete.

He still couldn't even perfect the First and Second Generation.

He checked the machine. The numbers were clear. Another failure.

"Maybe number 8 will prove a better one than number 7."

Beep.

The beep of one of his computers caught his attention. He went and checked it, seeing that it was a notification of another video upload from his surveillance drones. The video was interesting, very interesting.

He knew that Pilaf was an incompetent fool, but he knew that no two brats should've been able to take down a robot that big and of that quality. And the strange energy blasts that they've used. Interesting. It was very interesting. They looked humanoid, but he wasn't sure of their origin. He had never heard of humans capable of such feats.

"D-128 and D-435 double back and search for these two. Let's call them subject F12 and subject F13… I want 24 hrs surveillance and be ready to collect any samples that I might need."

He ordered his drones. A mix of insects and machines made them as intelligent as the average human. Interesting research, it was.

These two might prove a good source for DNA samples for the Third Generation. He looked at one of the labels, thinking about what it had inside of it. The DNA of that thing would prove useful too. Maybe, if he figured what the hell that elastic thing was.

"Subject A-21 would be the ideal one to use." His daughter's DNA was strong. It'd make for a good start. Now, he has to wait to see if these two deserved his attention or not.

But for now. It was back on working on the First and Second Generation.

"Have you decided on a wish, Bulma?" Said Kefla, bringing Bulma out of her thoughts.

It was a good question. Only one Dragon Ball remains and so it was time to think of a wish giving that her previous wish proved to be stupid.

"Nah, not really," Bulma confessed. "I'd have asked if either you or Goku wanted to revive your parents or grandpa Gohan, but sadly, the Dragon Balls can't bring back someone who died years ago."

"I guess even the Dragon Balls have their limits…" Said Goku, his head resting on his arms as he stared at the night sky.

"Don't worry about it Bulma. I don't even know if my parents are dead. And given how my mother thinks, she might not want to be revived."

Bulma nodded knowing what Kefla's mother thought of the Saiyan race. "But if they were alive, then why didn't they come here to get you?"

Kefla shook her head. "My father wasn't really happy with me. I wasn't born with a high power level, so he deemed me a failure. He'd not come here to get me if they were alive."

Bulma frowned at that, anger in her chest flared at Kefla's father. "Sorry to hear that, Kefla. Your father is an asshole."

Kefla chuckled and merely shrugged at that.

There were a few moments of silence. It was good. It was serene and Bulma liked it.

"Hey… After we finish this journey… would you guys like to go with me to my house? It's big enough for you. I can build you a great training ground and my parents would like you! I can teach you more and you'll find the city fun!"

Goku and Kefla glanced at each other before they looked at her, their eyes apologetic. "We'd like that, Bulma. But we've promised Master Roshi to go and train with him after we finish gathering the Dragon Balls."

"Kakarot is right, but we can always go with you after that! If you still want us."

Bulma nodded, a sad smile on her lips. Her shoulder slumped a little as she took everything in. She should've expected it really, but she didn't want to lose her friends or to be alone again. A hand on each shoulder brought her back. Both Kefla and Goku were staring intently at her.

"Why not go with us, Bulma?" Asked Goku.

"We want you to be with us, Bulma." Added Kefla.

Bulma felt her eyes tear up a little. "But, what would I do there?"

"You can learn how to fight and defend yourself, Bulma!" Said Goku, his eyes alight with excitement.

Kefla continued. "You can train to grow stronger. Even if you managed to fly before the journey ended. If you want to fly around as fast as aeroplanes or faster. If you want to fly around the whole world then you need to grow stronger."

Bulma thought about it. Being able to defend herself was a good idea. Kefla and Goku couldn't defend her all the time. She couldn't always rely on them. The thought of being able to fly faster than aeroplanes all around the world was nice too.

Most importantly though. The chance of spending more time with her friends was too good to pass up, so she nodded her head.

"Yes!" both of them shouted before they hugged her.

Bulma teared up now. She liked the feeling of being hugged by her friends. She felt right at home in between her best friends' arms. She had nothing to do alone back at home. She can invent stuff in any place really, and training to fly and being able to protect herself was good. Not to mention that she'd get to spend her time with them.

Yes, this is the right decision. I can take them back home after we finish training.

After a few minutes, they broke the hug. Bulma didn't want that though. "Um… would you mind that we all sleep together today? I was freaked out by that Ox King…" she didn't want to admit that she liked having them sleep with her. She felt at peace. Protected. And the feeling of their tails around her was nice.

Both of them nodded. "Of course, Bulma!"

It was promising to be another night of great sleep.

-]||[-

"Only one Dragon Ball left, right?" Asked Kefla. She was resting her head at the edge of the car's side, gazing out at the scenery around her. She was absolutely bored.

Bulma nodded. "Yup. We have to stop at a nearby town though. We need to refuel the car. There is a town nearby on the map that we can check out." Bulma also wanted to buy clothes. Wearing the bunny suit was bad enough, but wearing it for several days? Bulma was sick of it.

"This place is weird though," Goku commented looking at the forest of giant mushrooms. "Think we can eat those?"

"Goku. Those are stone mushrooms. Unless a Saiyan can eat rocks, then no, you can't eat them." The place was weird indeed. Why would stone be shaped like mushrooms? It appeared natural too!

"Hope there are some jerks to beat up in this town." Commented Kefla airily.

"Jeez, Kefla. Don't jinx it! Why must you always look for a fight?"

"Saiyan." Was Kefla's only answer.

Bulma deadpanned. Of course, the answer was going to be that. Again.

-]||[-

"This place doesn't look that good," Bulma commented as she took in the town that they've just arrived at. While it was supposed to be a small town, the buildings were still smaller than she had expected. They looked run down too and the very air of the town didn't look that welcoming.

One girl took a look at them and ran away screaming.

"It seems that they think you're too scary, Kefla." Goku chuckled as he poked the Saiyan girl. "One look at you and she ran away."

Kefla crossed her arms scowling at him. "It wasn't because of me! She was actually looking at Bulma when she ran away."

Bulma paused as she was exiting the car. "Me?" She asked Kefla who merely nodded. "Eh. Probably intimidated by my beauty." She said with a shrug. Some people simply couldn't handle that a girl with her looks existed!

They had stopped in front of a fuel station. Not once were they approached by anyone, and even the worker here was a few meters away and didn't approach them. The people of the town weren't really a friendly bunch, it seemed. "Just stay here and refuel the car. I have a few things that I need to buy." Bulma ordered them and both of them nodded. "I'll pay once I get back, so don't move."

"Wonder if they sell Hoi-Poi capsules in this dump…"

As Bulma walked through town searching for a Hoi-Poi shop, she noticed how many passers-by would give her one look before scurrying away. At first, she thought it was because of her overwhelming beauty (humbleness wasn't exactly Bulma's strong suit), but even the men ran away without even staring at her with any interest!

She found the shop after a few minutes of walking. The shop didn't have much in terms of selection, but Bulma supposed it'd do for now. The shopkeeper looked really nervous dealing with her that Bulma took pity on him, choosing five capsules before she left. At first, the shopkeeper didn't want to take her money for some reason, but Bulma wasn't one to buy something for free. She threw the money in his face after she got irritated by him and moved on.

Her next stop was a clothes store. There wasn't much of a selection, especially to a fashionable city girl like her, but in the end, she chose one outfit that she liked. It wasn't made of top quality material or some famous designer, but the style was new and Bulma thought that she looked extra sexy in it. It also covered more than her bunny suit, so that was a plus.

The outfit was white harem pants with a white tube top. She wore a red sash on her waist and a red sandal that matched it. A blue vest covered her top. She had a golden bracelet on each wrist and a golden choker that finished the outfit. Her hair was still in the same style from before, since she liked it for now.

The clerk was also acting nervous. No, scratch that. He was absolutely terrified of her. After changing her outfit though, he looked a lot less nervous and more thoughtful.

"Y-You aren't part of the Rabbit Mob?..."

Bulma looked at him, confused. "Rabbit Mob? What's that?" She asked as she took off the Rabbit ears and stuffed it into her bag.

The clerk was visibly angry as a vein appeared on his forehead. "I suppose this is your idea of a joke? Coming in and trying to trick me to get free clothes?"

Bulma wasn't known for her patience or being cool-headed, so she expectedly exploded at him. "Excuse me? Me tricking you to get clothes for free? Who the hell do you think I am? I can literally buy this whole town on a whim! I just came in and everyone is afraid of me for some strange reason? Now. Tell. Me. Why?"

The clerk did explain after that. The town was being plagued by a Rabbit-Themed mafia with a boss that had supposedly mysterious powers. The Rabbit Mob had been terrifying this town and nearby villages for real, using that to take what they wished while charging for protecting their town. They had even killed people right in the middle of the streets or the middle of their houses.

And I just waltzed in with rabbit ears on my head. No wonder they were scared of me. Bulma thought as she paid the clerk. She did overpay him, but money didn't matter to her. She got on her way back to the car, only to see two men, wearing a military uniform with a pair of rabbit ears on their head, standing in front of Goku and Kefla. They were carrying guns and yelling something at her friends.

As Bulma walked closer, the two men apparently noticed her. One of them, a fat ugly bastard, had a sleazy grin on his face as he blatantly checked her out. "Hey, check out this chick! I've never seen her before~"

The other man, taller and skinnier, had the same disgusting expression on his face. "Whoa! How did we miss that one?"

They both stepped toward Bulma. "Hey, babe. How about you have a little fun with us?"

Bulma sneered at the obvious meaning of 'fun' that these bastards had in mind. "Fuck off assholes. So, you're the bastards from the Rabbit Mob?"

"Oh, a feisty one, eh?" Said the tall one with a smirk as he pointed a gun at Bulma. "I guess you don't want to live to see old age!"

Bulma wasn't impressed or intimidated after everything she has seen so far in her journey. She merely shrugged and looked at Goku and Kefla. "Have fun, you two."

Goku and Kefla didn't waste time moving. Goku rushed and delivered two punches to the tall guy, one in the abdomen that left him coughing blood while the other to his face that left a broken nose and a cracked skull.

Kefla attacked the other guy. The fat one. She punched him three times in the guts, sending him flying in the air and crashing down. His fat gut apparently absorbed part of the impact as he was partially still conscious. He managed to croak out a "Boss… H-Help! They're too strong…" before he passed out.

The townspeople started running away, scared. One took a minute to yell at them. "How can you do this?... you've brought doom on us all!"

Bulma huffed as she crossed her arms. "Talk about being ungrateful."

"Think the boss guy is strong?" She saw Kefla ask Goku.

Goku simply shrugged. "I dunno, but I hope so."

Seeing as both Goku and Kefla were interested in fighting this boss guy, they stayed in their place waiting for him to arrive. A few minutes later, Bulma goggled when a rabbit themed minivan arrived before a literal anthropomorphic rabbit who wore large black sunglasses. He also wore a martial arts uniform with the kanji for Rabbit on the front.

"So that's the head rabbit? I thought he was a weirdo with a rabbit fetish or something, not a literal rabbit!"

The rabbit looked at his downed goon before he turned his eyes on them. "Now, girlies? Would you tell me who did this?"

Goku of course didn't hide it. "That'd be us."

"A girl and two kids? Yo ho!" he yelled before he did an impressive somersault and landed in front of Bulma. "Touch the flesh, cutie." He said as he extended his hand.

Bulma sneered at the offending hand before she slapped it away. "As if a girl like me would touch the hand of a rodent like you."

The Rabbit guy only laughed mockingly. "Hehehe. Too late, you touched me!"

BAMF!

Bulma was engulfed in a red smoke as she felt her body forcibly transformed into a carrot before she was caught by the Rabbit bastard.

"Bulma!" She heard both Goku and Kefla shout her name in panic.

It was weird being a carrot, and yet being able to see and hear. Somehow.

She saw how Goku wasted no time jumping to deliver a punch that sent the rabbit flying, but with Bulma still in his hand. The rabbit proved to be tougher than expected as he shakenly stood up. "You've touched me!" and with a cloud of red smoke, Goku was transformed too.

"Kakarot!" With a glare, she rushed the bastard and kicked him in the chest on top of his clothes. She spun around to deliver another kick but the Rabbit boss raised Bulma's carrot in front of the kick, making Kefla hesitate. He didn't let the chance slip by as he touched her.

BAMF! With red smoke. Kefla was transformed into a carrot too.

No! Not Kefla too! Thought Bulma frantically as she watched the Rabbit about to step on Goku and Kefla's carrot forms. Wait! This is a transformation technique! If so, I can counter it!

Bulma concentrated for a moment. BAMF! And she was back into her normal form making the Rabbit jump in surprise.

"H-How?"

"That's for me to know and for you to never find out you asshole!"

"Why you!" The Rabbit growled as he rushed her.

How do I take him down? Goku and Kefla are pants at transformation. If I take him down, then maybe they'll transform back. I don't have a gun though… That's it!

Bulma held out her arm, her palm facing the Rabbit as he was getting closer and closer. She concentrated, feeling the tug in her navel as she tried to do a Ki blast for the first time in her life. She hadn't used it before, but she got a feeling that she'll be able to do at least one blast. And after Goku's punch and Kefla's kick, the blast no matter how small should be enough to take him down. Especially at this range.

A small ball of golden Ki formed in front of Bulma's hand just as the Rabbit was a little more than a meter in front of her. "HAA!" Bulma shouted as she launched the Ki blast hitting the Rabbit in the middle of his chest. A small explosion followed as the Rabbit was hurled into a wall, a few meters in the back and never moved again. Bulma didn't know if he was simply unconscious or dead. She didn't care either way. She was too happy with herself as she whooped in the air, celebrating her first time using a Ki blast and defeating her first opponent. Ever.

BAMF! BAMF!

A double red cloud of smoke grabbed her attention as both Goku and Kefla transformed back into their human form.

"Bulma!" Both of them shouted again as they rushed her and began fussing over her.

"Are you alright, Bulma?"

"Did he hurt you?"

"That was amazing, Bulma!"

"Kakarot is right! You managed your first Ki blast!"

Bulma felt her cheek colour at her best friend's concern and praise. A wave of exhaustion hit her as she fell to her knees. Sweat forming on her forehead.

"W-Whoa. What's happening?" Asked Bulma confused. She hadn't really done anything that should've made her this tired. She thought.

"That's normal, Bulma." Answered Kefla. "It's your first time using a Ki blast and you don't really have that much reserve in the first place."

That did make sense. Although, Bulma felt a little down knowing that the small blast was all she could manage, especially compared to Kefla's and Goku's attacks.

Goku looked at the downed Rabbit Mob with a scowl. "Now, let's take care of these jerks and continue on our way."

Taking care to not touch any of the Rabbit boss' exposed parts. Kefla and Goku tied them all up together. Kefla then proceeded to carry them all easily before she threw them in the air. Goku took out his Power Pole "Extend!" He used the usual command as he took aim and hit the Rabbit Mob "Homerun!" and he sent them sailing in the air. Never to be seen again.

"Now, let's continue our journey!"

-]||[-

Mai was standing on top of one of the stone mushrooms watching the road as a certain car passed through.

"Lord Pilaf. I'm in the area… and one car has just passed through…"

"That got to be the one! Commence the operation!" Came her master's reply through the walkie-talkie.

"Yes, my lord!" Answered Mai happily before she changed the channel. "Shu! Can you see the car? Good! Don't forget to use the rocket that has the sleeping gas."

Mai crossed her arms with a satisfied smile on her face. "Finally, the search for those infernal Dragon Balls will end."

-]||[-

"It's already in the bag. I can feel it!" Bulma exclaimed happily as she drove the car towards the last Dragon Ball. The journey so far had been fun and despite the few dangers, she'd never trade it for anything in the world. It was the freest that she felt herself with no one recognizing her as the genius daughter of Dr Briefs. She also found two great friends.

"Yeah, we-" before Kefla could continue. Something hit the side of the car, throwing them out of it as it just exploded.

Bulma groaned as she hit the ground painfully. Before she got her bearings, she saw a cloud of smoke enveloping them all. Bulma realised that it was some kind of poison or sleeping gas.

"W-What's that?" Asked Kefla.

She tried to warn them off breathing in the gas, but she was too late. Her vision swam and she started to blackout. The last thing she saw was a small robot grab something from their bags.

-]||[-

"They've taken our Balls!"

Goku woke up at the sounds of Bulma's yelling. He was still feeling drowsy. His vision blurred as he opened his eyes and started to get up.

"Ugh, my head." He heard Kefla complain. He looked around and found her in a similar state. Bulma was searching frantically about something in between the wreckage of their car.

"What's wrong Bulma?" Asked Goku as he finally stood on his feet.

Bulma put her hands on his shoulders. "The Dragon Balls! They took our Dragon Balls!" Bulma shouted as she shook Goku back and forth. "They've probably had the last Dragon Ball! Maybe they've already made their wish!"

Goku held up his hands to calm her down. "We still got my grandpa's Ball!" He said as he got the Dragon Ball from his poach. He never let it leave his person at any time, and the thieves must've missed it.

Bulma stopped freaking out. "Oh?" Her entire demeanour changed as she put her hands on her hips and laughed loudly. "Wahaha! Fools! You've missed one!"

"You got any wish you want now?" Kefla asked Bulma who was still laughing.

Bulma stopped before she shook her head. "Nope! But someone like them most likely has some evil wish that they want! We can't let assholes who attack kids out of nowhere get the Dragon Balls!"

"How are we going to find them?" Asked Kefla.

"With the Dragon Radar, duh? Luckily, I've kept it on my person so they didn't get it. Now, we only need another car-" Bulma suddenly paused, making Goku look at her only to take a step back. Bulma was literally shaking in anger with a blue deathly aura around her.

"THEY'VE TAKEN MY CAPSULES TOO! I forgot that I put them in the bag with the Dragon Balls!"

Kefla patted Bulma's shoulder to calm her down. "We can still reach them. We only need to eat some food first."

"Um…" Bulma busied her hands together. "The food capsules were also there…"

Wait, no food?!

"WE'RE GOING TO END THEM!" Both he and Kefla shouted at the same time.

Bulma facepalmed. "Of course, now you're angry…"

"Come on, now. Either I or Kakarot can carry you while we fly there."

Bulma shook her head at that. "It won't be comfortable with me like this. I'd need to transform into something… Okay!"

BAMF!

Bulma transformed into a purple snake before she slithered towards Goku, up to his body and wrapped herself around his shoulders tightly. "Now, you can fly."

Goku grinned, preparing himself for another fight before he and Kefla flew away.

-]||[-

"L-L-Lord Pilaf! Haha… P-Please have mercy!"

"Ahahahowooooo! M-Mercy!"

Pilaf narrowed his eyes at his subordinates before he snapped. "I told you that I'll give you to the Tickling Monster! Why the hell did you not count the Dragon Balls before you came back?!"

"Y-YES! We're sorry L-Lord Pilaf! Please forgive us!" Mai begged as she was tickled again by the monster tickling machine. She was literally crying from laughter.

Pilaf sighed and deactivated the machine. He was much too merciful in his own opinion. He looked at the Dragon Radar that he built. "You're lucky it seems that the last Dragon Ball is heading this way." That certainly did lift his spirit up. His wish was getting ever closer to him. "Heh, heh, heh. This must be my lucky day! What a gift these Dragon Balls are! One wish and my dream will come true!"

"Lord Pilaf." Mai's voice snapped out of his thoughts before he got absorbed in his fantasies. "They're here!"

"Already? They must be these new 'Instant Enemies'!"

His wish was just a stone's throw away.

"That's huge!" Kefla said as she stared at the massive castle in front of her. It was even bigger than Oolong's.

Bulma put a hand under her chin. "We're not dealing with ordinary bandits. The robot from the desert was probably their doing too. I've never seen anything so advanced before. Sure, my dad or I can build something like it or even better, but it's not like we care to do it." Bulma looked around. "The security definitely is lax here though."

"Maybe they knew that they couldn't stop us?" Offered Kefla noticing Kakarot's eyes darting around, looking for something. Kefla knew that he was most likely feeling restless. She was feeling it too, and that only meant one thing. Tonight was a full moon. They needed to finish this before it was night.

They entered through the large open door, trying to sneak in. "Huh? What's this?" Kakarot pointed at something on the ground.

"An arrow? Seriously?" Question Bulma as she pinched her nose. "Well, it's not like there is any different path…"

"Maybe they needed it so they'd not get lost in their own castle?" Kakarot offered helpfully.

Bulma snorted. "It's most likely a trap, but it's the only way in. What the worst they can do?"

They continued to walk for a few minutes before they came upon a divergence in the path as it split into three paths. One was labelled 'Trap', the second was labelled 'Dead End' and the last one was labelled 'Enter here'.

Kakarot moved toward the last path before he was stopped by Bulma. "Hold it, Goku. We need to think about this."

"Why? We need to avoid the dead-end and the trap, right?" It was Kefla who asked.

"The labels are misleading for sure. There is no way that they'll tell us which is the right path and which is the trap. Unless they're either super confident or super stupid."

"Which one then?"

"I think we need to check out the 'Trap' Path first?"

Both Kakarot and she shrugged. They didn't really care which path they chose.

They walked through their chosen path for a few minutes without encountering any trap. The path was straightforward and there weren't any arrows here.

"See? I chose the right pat-" Bulma didn't get to complete her smug statement as suddenly, the ground under her disappeared and she fell down a hole. "Kyaaa!"

"Bulma!" She and Kakarot yelled, but he was faster and closer as he dived into the hole after her and was already flying out with Bulma by the time Kefla reached the hole's edge. Kefla took a look and saw massive spikes at the bottom.

Bulma hugged Kakarot tight. "THANK YOU, GOKU! YOU SAVED MY LIFE!"

"Still think that we chose the right path?" Kefla asked, trying not to giggle as Bulma glared at her.

"Will we continue down this path or go back?"

Bulma stroked her chin in thought for a few moments. "I guess we'll continue for now. We just have to be careful."

Bulma was carried by Kakarot as together they jumped over the hole. As soon as Bulma got off Kakarot, she tripped and put her hand on the wall to steady herself. Her hand sank in with the tile.

"Oh, shit…"

Two massive machine guns appeared from the ground about ten meters ahead of them and started firing at them.

Kakarot immediately moved forward and started to spin his Power Pole to block all the bullets and protect them both. Kefla's skin would not be easily penetrated by the bullets, but they'd still sting like hell and leave bruises.

"… Be careful, huh?" Kefla gave Bulma the stink eye.

"Shut up, Kefla!"

The next trap was triggered by Kakarot. It was a Falling Ceiling Trap. Kakarot used his Power Pole to hold the ceiling while they crossed it.

It continued like that for a while with them passing trap after trap; a giant boulder chased them while stairs turned into slides, collapsing floors and all kinds of booby traps.

"… I…" Bulma panted as she tried to catch her breath. "Is this a fucking pyramid?" Predictably, after she said that a hole in the wall opened revealing a bandaged person making Bulma scream in surprise. "Kyaaa! A mummy!" Kefla was quick to attack it revealing that it was merely a toy.

After a few moments, she took a deep breath before her eyes narrowed and a deathly aura surrounded her. "I'M GOING TO KILL THEM!"

They finally reached the end of the path to find an opening that led them to the same room that they began in. Somehow.

"GRRR! I'M GOING TO FUCKING MURDER THEM!"

While Kefla was annoyed as well, it was still really funny seeing Bulma lose it like that.

They decided to try the 'Dead End' Path next. They walked for a while without any traps until they reached a wide room. There was nothing for it, and for a moment it was clear this was the Dead End, until a wall collapsed and a group of robots was revealed.

"Now that's more like it!" Kefla was getting frustrated with all these traps and was excited to finally get something to fight.

She and Kakarot moved together. The robots all had the same weapon; a laser gun and a small machine gun. It wasn't hard taking one of them down as she and Kakarot used punches, kicks and Ki blasts to do the job. What was hard was also protecting Bulma since she didn't have anywhere to hide.

Kefla dodged a rain of bullets from one robot before she reached it. A single punch was all it took to break it apart. She ducked as Kakarot's Power Pole twirled, destroying several robots at the same time. They moved in sync. Dodging, attacking and moving around as if they've fought together for years.

It took them a few minutes, but they've managed to defeat all the robots there. They checked the fallen wall to see that there was simply another room that housed the robots with no exit in sight. They decided to go back and finally check the final path.

"If this isn't the right path…" Bulma said with a low voice. It was clear that all of this was getting to her. They've been at it for a long time now, maybe hours, Kefla wasn't sure, and they were getting tired of all these traps and dead ends.

They soon were walking the final path. They didn't walk for more than a few minutes before a wall slammed behind them as soon as they reached another dead end.

"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!?"

-]||[-

"Well… That was easy…" Commented Mai dryly.

"Ha, as if it'd have been any other way! I'm Pilaf and I designed this castle myself. No one would be able to enter it without my permission." Pilaf bragged almost not believing it himself. "Heh, heh, heh… Soon, no leader on earth shall act without an order of Pilaf! Now go and get me my Dragon Balls!"

Pilaf waited for them, smiling and his heart beating in his chest as he waited for Mai and Shu to finally get the final Dragon Ball. After a few minutes, they both came back.

"The Dragon Ball isn't there, Lord Pilaf. We didn't even find a car outside, so we went back to where we attacked them and found nothing too."

Pilaf shrugged. "Then it means that one of them has it on themselves." He looked at the screen checking their captives. "Strange though, there's no sign of any ball there…"

"Perhaps between his legs?" Mai suggested seriously.

Both Pilaf and Shu stared at her for a moment, before Pilaf turned around. "We don't appreciate that kind of vulgar humour here…"

Mai slumped her shoulders. "My apologies…"

-]||[-

"Hey, you!" A voice grabbed their attention. "I'm Lord Pilaf!"

Bulma noticed the small screen and the little creature. "Oh? So you're the little imp who stole our Dragon Balls and LEAD US THROUGH THIS FUCKING ANNOYING CASTLE?!"

"Now, now. Don't be rude. All I'm missing is the Four-Star Dragon Ball. Give it to me and you'll be on the good side of the great Emperor Pilaf!" Pilaf declared with a smug smile.

"Oh, yeah?" Bulma jeered, she stuck her tongue out and flipped the screen. "That's all you're getting, loser!"

"Grrr." The little imp growled. "Very well then, if you don't want to cooperate then I'm going to do something nasty!"

"Bulma!" Both Goku and Kefla yelled as a claw came out of the ceiling and grabbed her. They didn't even have a chance to react with their stunned state and soon Bulma found herself in another room, face to face with Pilaf.

"Let me go, you thieves!" Bulma struggled, trying to free herself as she glared at the three morons in front of her. "You don't want me to step on you by mistake, do you? You're short enough as it is."

Pilaf growled at her. "Fine then! If you enjoy being humiliated that much…" He had a very perverted grin on his face, a slight drool escaped his mouth. Bulma froze as she felt a shiver run down her spine. She wondered what kind of perverted acts the little goblin had in mind.

Pilaf put his hand over his lips and made a kissing sound before he blew it at her.

The two morons behind him blushed and turned around, hands on their cheeks.

Bulma stared and stared, completely dumbfounded. These idiots were the ones who gave them the most trouble? The ones who managed to steal the Dragon Balls?

"W-well?" Pilaf stuttered, a healthy blush on his cheeks. "A-Are you ready to talk now?"

"What was that?" She was still not processing what was actually happening. "You just blew me a kiss…"

"Kyaa! Gross! She said the k-word!" All of them jumped, making Bulma stare at the grown woman who was acting like a five years old.

"… Yeah, and?" Bulma sighed in relief. "The way things were going, I figured you were going to strip me nude and do a 'Slurp-Slurp' or a 'Puff-Puff' or even a 'Pat-Pat'!"

Pilaf and his goons jumped back in shock and fear. "W-WHAT A DISEASED MIND! H-HOW COULD YOU EVEN THINK OF SUCH THINGS?" before he pressed a button and she was thrown back into the room.

"Bulma!" She was immediately rushed by Goku and Kefla who began fussing over her, but before she could say anything a familiar gas started filling the room.

"Ah, shit. Here we go agai-'' was the last thing that Bulma thought of.

-]||[-

A few minutes later, the stone wall was raised up and the Pilaf gang strutted in. "Hahaha! Sleeping like babies! Now, let's go… and… find that-" And he fell to the ground asleep.

Mai facepalmed. "He forgot the gas mask…" She looked to Shu and ordered him. "Stay with him and I'll find that Dragon Ball."

She looked at the three kids sleeping in the room. "Now, where to begin?"

-]||[-

"HAA!" Goku yelled as he punched the wall. A small crack appeared and nothing more as Goku slumped to the ground besides Kefla.

"I'm soooo hungry!" Complained about Goku while Kefla complained about being tired.

Right, I think I was right. They need to eat a lot of food to be able to function properly. It was a theory that Bulma had come up with after seeing how much both Kefla and Goku eat. According to Kefla, or more accurately her mother, Saiyans, in general, loved food. Bulma thought that it was necessary for them to eat that much considering how much power they have. The walls were unusually hard too, and Bulma could see that they were reinforced with metal plates from what she could see of the very small crack that Goku had caused.

"They're going to steal our wish if we don't hurry up. Hell, they might have already done it since we don't know for how long we were asleep! Can't you do that Kamehameha wave thingy?"

"We're too hungry and tired after not eating for a long time and going through this place for hours… We can try though." Said Kefla as she stood up, wobbling a little.

"Ka.. me.. ha.. me.. HA!" Kefal roared as she unleashed her attack. It was not even as strong as it was back when they tried it in front of the Ox King's home. The attack struck home and managed to destroy a small part of the wall, but left the metal plates behind it relatively undamaged. Kefla fell on her butt, panting heavily. "Damn it. If only we ate something…"

"Maybe I can do the rest." Goku took aim. "Kamehame… HA!" and fired his own Ki attack at the already damaged wall. A flash of light later and this time, the hole reached through the metal plating leading to the outside. It was however too small for any of them to use and get out. Goku fell face-first on the ground, clutching his stomach.

"I'm hungryyy!" Both of them complained at the same time before they passed out from hunger.

Bulma shook her head. It seemed that it was up to her to stop the wish, but she needed to get out of this place first. Suddenly, she had an idea.

BAMF! After the smoke was dispersed, it revealed a purple Peregrine Falcon. Bulma went through the hole before she rocketed toward the sky as fast as she could. Suddenly, there was a flash of light that flooded the area. After it died down, Bulma almost transformed back from sheer shock at seeing the monster in front of her.

An absolutely massive Eastern Dragon with green scales and red glowing eyes was suddenly in front of her. Bulma was frozen in awe at the sight of the magnificent dragon, but then a deep voice reverberating throughout the desert took her out of her trance.

"Reflect upon your desires, mortals. I shall grant any wish… but only one wish."

Bulma knew that she needed to hurry. She needed to beat them to the punch and be the one to make a wish. She had no idea what these morons wanted, but it'd be nothing good. She was sure of that.

What do I wish for though? Though Bulma. Wishing for a boyfriend was a stupid idea. Even if it'd be good to waste the wish so that they'd not make one. Is it really okay to wish for something that stupid? It's not like a boyfriend would help us get out of here, and with both Kefla and Goku passed out and these guys here… Ugh, I'm going to be useless like I was throughout the journey? If it was Goku or Kefla, they'd be able to make any wish and beat these guys here no problem… They're so brave and powerful. As her thoughts drifted to her best friends. She thought about everything that happened and their desire to stay together. She thought about their powers, its source and their story.

"Oh…" A thought hit Bulma.

"Right, the wish!" Pilaf said. He was getting ready to say the wish. She needed to hurry. It was now or never.

Bulma took a deep breath and yelled at the top of her lungs. "I WISH I WAS A SAIYAN LIKE GOKU AND KEFLA!"

"Very well." The dragon's eyes flashed.

For a moment there was nothing, then she screamed. She transformed back into her human form while she was still in the sky as waves of unbearable pain racked her body. Electricity surged through it from cell to cell as she felt her body break down and be rebuilt. Hot knives went through her nerves. She hit the ground with a thump that'd have broken the bones of most humans. Bulma thrashed and writhed as the pain continued, a new sensation assaulting her as she felt something like a spear coming out of her lower back. Her screams echoed throughout the desert reaching miles and miles away as her body finally calmed down. Bulma's body spasmed one last time before the world went black.

The last thing that she heard was. "Your wish has been granted. Farewell."

-]||[-

Kefla was woken up by a scream. At first, she was barely able to open her eyes, her body droopy. She barely noticed that Kakarot was in the same condition. Then, they heard the screams and they were wide awake right away. Those screams were Bulma's. Bulma was screaming with pain. Someone was hurting Bulma.

"Bulma!" Both she and Kakarot yelled in panic. A wave of anger hit her as her heartbeat intensified, fearing the worst for their best friend.

Kakarot was the first to reach the hole. "I-I can't see, Bulma! I can hear her, but I can only see the sand and the sky!"

Wait. Suddenly, Kefla was concerned about something else together as she moved to get Kakarot away from the hole.

"Ah. I can see… the full moon…" However, she was late.

Ah, bugger.

Kakarot was still for a moment before his body jerked. His eyes narrowed and turned red. Then there it was. THUMP THUMP THUMP. The rising heartbeat of his was audible for all like a war drum. Its beat rising and rising as Kakarot's body began to change. His muscles bulged as he got bigger and bigger. He clenched his teeth as incisors grew larger and larger. His clothes couldn't take the strain as his body continued to grow. A fresh coating of dark brown fur growing all over his body as he transformed into the Great Ape form of the Saiyans. The Ōzaru.

Kefla took a few steps back as Kakarot broke through the roof and destroyed half of the castle as he continued to reach his max height as a Great Ape.

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He roared announcing himself as the terror that he was. Only death and destruction is left in the path of the Ōzaru. Simply opening his arms wide sent the roof of the castle flying.

Kefla decided to ignore him for the moment as she searched for Bulma. It was her priority to get her to safety. She noticed a flash of purple hair on the sand and she rushed to it as fast as she could in her tired state. She idly noticed the trio of morons running away and shouting about something called Ultra Super Mega something. She didn't care about them for now.

She reached Bulma and immediately started checking her body. Kefla was confused as she noticed that Bulma didn't have any injury at all. She sighed in relief at that, but it still left the mystery of why Bulma was screaming in pain. Just as she was about to turn around, she noticed a brown something. She moved closer to Bulma's butt before she took a step back in shock. Right there at Bulma's lower back, right above her butt was a brown-furred tail. A monkey tail. A tail just like a Saiyan's.

"W-WHAT THE HELL?!" Kefla yelped in shock. Bulma wasn't a Saiyan, so she shouldn't have a tail! Yet there it was. She used her nose to sniff at Bulma and she recoiled in shock. Right under Bulma's familiar personal smell was the basic smell that all Saiyans shared (or at least she and Kakarot shared). There was no doubt about it. Somehow, Bulma was a Saiyan now.

A loud rumble was heard as the whole place shook. Kefla looked back and saw a giant robot, twice as big as the one they faced in the desert, appeared out of the remaining safe part of the castle. Kakarot was rampaging aimlessly and didn't appear to have noticed yet.

It doesn't matter if he notices it and defeats it. He'll try to attack us too… She was too weak at the moment to face either the robot or Kakarot. There is only one way. She squared herself, taking a deep breath before she looked at the sky. Right at the beautiful full moon.

-]||[-

Bulma groaned as she was woken up suddenly by loud noises. Her body felt numb as she moved slowly and sluggishly. Her senses were haywire. She could hear loud noises all around her, and even hear the sound of a snake slithering on the sand a long distance away from her. She could smell all kinds of smells that she could never smell before. She opened her eyes and was astonished that she could see things much more clearly now. Details she'd never noticed before as even pebbles were as clear as day to her now.

Then, she noticed loud thumping noises and sounds of fighting. She looked up and froze in pure shock and fear at what she saw. Two giant ape-like creatures and massive robots were fighting each other in a royal rumble. Both apes looked identical save for one detail. One of them had blood-red eyes while the other had white eyes. It took her a moment but she understood what she was seeing.

Bulma was reminded of a conversation that she had with Kefla a while ago.

Both she and Kefla were showering together. Ever since the first time that they did, it became a sort of a habit for them.

"I still don't understand why you're refusing to go out tonight or why do you insist that we close all the curtains and that Goku doesn't leave the house or even look outside," Bulma asked as she enjoyed the feel of Kefla's hair in her hands.

Kefla was silent for a few moments before she answered. "There is something that I've not told you about Saiyans."

"Oh?"

Kefla seemed to be tense as she took a deep breath. "You remember how you referred to our tail as a monkey tail, right?" Bulma nodded, not really understanding where Kefla was going with all of this. "Well… At full moon, if Saiyans stare at the moon for longer than a moment then we'd transform into a giant ape creature that we call the Ōzaru."

Bulma was wide-eyed as she stared at the girl sitting between her legs. She certainly didn't expect something like that when she brought it up. It reminded Bulma of the legends of the werewolves.

"Ah… I didn't expect that…"

Kefla nodded. "The Ōzaru is our trump card. It boosts our powers and abilities by several times and makes us more aggressive. The younger Saiyans can't control it and will rampage nonstop until the sun comes up. They would need to train to be able to control themselves and not attack their own allies."

The more she heard about the Saiyans, the more she was amazed by this race. "Ah. So, you were afraid that you'd lose control then?"

Kefla shook her head. "Not me. I can control it although, it's always better to be safe than sorry. It's Kakarot that I don't want to transform."

"Goku?"

Kefla turned toward her and Bulma was surprised to see concern and sadness in her eyes. "You remember what he told you about his grandpa?"

Bulma nodded. "Yes, his grandpa was-" Bulma paused and gasped her hand flying to her mouth in horror as she suddenly understood what Kefla was talking about. "You think that he…"

Kefla nodded sadly. "Kakarot knew nothing about Saiyans. He most likely transformed by mistake and killed his grandpa without knowing it. That's why I never told him about it. It's better that he thinks his grandpa had been killed by an unknown monster and not by his hands. At least for now."

Bulma nodded. Her heart went out for Goku as she imagined what the poor boy would feel if he learnt that he killed his own grandpa. It took her a few minutes to gather herself as she continued washing Kefla's hair.

"You know, Kefla…"

"Huh?"

"You act tough and brash all the time and pretend that you don't care, but deep down you're just a big softie who cares about Goku, aren't you?"

Bulma chuckled as she saw Kefla blush deep red before she started denying her true feelings.

"That must be Goku and Kefla." Bulma said as the red-eyed ape socked the other one in the face before it began bounding on its chest. "The red-eyed one must be Goku from how he's rampaging and the other one is Kefla…" She slowly stood up as she felt something wrong with her balance but she paid it no mind as she observed the scene in front of her.

Kefla was hit by a laser beam from the giant robot that made her grunt before a kick from Goku sent her rolling for a distance. Goku in his crazed rampage seemed to consider Kefla as the biggest threat as he didn't pay the robot any mind.

Kefla didn't get any time to breathe as she got hit by several rockets fired by the robot. It didn't seem to bother her or damage her much as she stood in defiance and roared. "GOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Bulma put her hands on her ears as they were nearly ear raped by Kefla's roar. She noticed Kefla taking a chance of Goku's momentary distraction as she bounced, catching his tail with one of her hands. Goku groaned in pain and was visibly uncomfortable as Kefla hauled him and threw him over her shoulder into a nearby mountain.

She didn't get to celebrate her victory as the robot hit her with another laser beam in the back before it grabbed Kefla's tail. Kefla immediately sagged, groaning as the robot began to wail on her back, making Bulma gasp in horror. Bulma noticed Goku standing up from where he was thrown before he opened his mouth. A blue Ki began to gather inside of it, making Bulma's eyes widen as she noticed that it was aimed at Kefla.

"They can do Atomic Breath too? Are you fucking kidding me?"

Bulma quickly gathered her Ki and fired at the giant robot. It struck the side of its head and did no damage obviously, but it managed to capture its attention for a single moment. That was all Kefla needed to kick it off her, sending it flying missing one arm. Kefla didn't waste any time lunging at Goku, shoulder tackling him just as he was about to fire his attack. He did fire it but the aim was screwed as it travelled to the sky parting the clouds before it exploded. The night literally turned into day as the explosion engulfed the entire sky for miles and miles.

Bulma sank to her knees, her jaw hanging loosely as she stared at the absolute power in front of her. She knew that Goku and Kefla were strong, but this was on another level altogether. If that attack had hit its intended target, then she, Kefla and the entire area would've been easily destroyed.

Goku apparently didn't like the fact that he missed as he threw Kefla off him. Kefla didn't go down easily as she raised her hand mid-air and fired several Ki blasts that struck Goku before she hit the ground. The robot didn't waste any time to attack Kefla again while Goku was steading himself.

I can't let this go on. I need to try and get Goku to calm down and control himself or Kefla won't survive! Bulma felt her eyes tear up at that. Goku would hate himself forever if he hurt Kefla or her. It was bad enough that he had killed his grandpa when he was young and she didn't want her kind and innocent best friend to suffer anymore. Unconsciously, she launched herself in the air and flew towards him without even realising it.

As soon as she reached him, she took a deep breath before she screamed. "GOKUUUUUU!" The world froze for a few moments as Goku looked at her. Bulma braced herself expecting Goku to attack her too. Goku flinched for a moment before he opened his mouth. Instead of the Atomic Breath as Bulma called it, what came out of it brought both shock and relief to Bulma's heart. "B-BULMA?" Before he roared and tried to punch her. Bulma managed to dodge it, but the air pressure almost sent her flying.

"SNAP OUT OF IT, GOKU! DO YOU WANT TO HURT ME OR KEFLA!?"

Goku took a step back as though he was struck. "B-B-BULMA? W-WHAT'S GOING ON?" Bulma idly noticed in the corner of her eyes Kefla tearing the robot apart before sending a Ki blast that destroyed it completely. Goku was checking himself as if he didn't believe what was going on then, he stopped.

"N-NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He suddenly roared and took Bulma by surprise. The sadness and grief in that roar tore her heart apart as she eyed her friend worriedly. "I-I WAS THE ONE WHO KILLED GRANDPA!" Goku yelled as he began smashing his fists into the ground repeatedly. Fresh big tears were falling from his eyes which made Bulma's heart hurt even more at the sight. She herself was crying as she got closer to him. She flew right toward him, stopping in front of his face as he was clutching his head with his hands and wailing.

"GOKU!" She yelled, grabbing his attention.

"G-GET BACK BULMA! I… I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU TOO!" The fear for her and the concern made Bulma feel warm, but she ignored it as it was the time to console her friend. She descended on his snout, only now realising that she had been flying for a while, but it didn't fully register in her mind as she brushed it aside. Now wasn't the time for that.

"You could never hurt me, Goku." She told him, fully convinced of the fact. She knew. No, she believed that Goku would never hurt her out of his own free will.

As if it was to prove her wrong, Goku raised his meaty fists and brought it down on his face. Bulma never moved as she stood her ground, the fist flinching mid-air and its aim changing, hitting the ground instead.

"GET AWAY, BULMA! I-I CAN BARELY CONTROL MYSELF NOW!"

Before Bulma could deny him. A giant shadow engulfed them as Kefla threw herself over Goku's back, making him lie on the ground on his front with Kefla holding his arms down.

"KAKAROT!... I WON'T LET YOU! I'LL HOLD YOU DOWN SO CONTROL YOURSELF!"

Bulma smiled at Kefla as she could see the worry that she had in her big white eyes. She looked at Goku sadly before she began stocking the space between his eyes gently. "It wasn't your fault, Goku… Your grandpa, that is."

"B-BUT… I KILLED… HIM!"

"DID YOU DO IT ON PURPOSE?... WOULD YOU'VE KILLED HIM IF YOU WERE AWARE OF IT?..."

Goku shook his giant head as another shudder racked his whole body. It was clear that he still wasn't in total control.

Kefla raised a meaty fist and hit Goku's head. "T-THEN DON'T BLAME YOURSELF! YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS. IT WASN'T YOUR FAULT!"

"Kefla is right, Goku. Don't blame yourself over something that you couldn't control." Bulma said as she sat on Goku's snout. "You wouldn't hurt us. Ever."

"B-BUT… I FOUGHT… KEFLA… I HURT HER!"

Kefla socked him again. "AS IF YOU COULD HURT ME!... W-WHAT'S A HIT OR TWO BETWEEN SAIYANS?... YOU… ARE TOO WEAK TO HURT ME ANYWAY!"

Goku growled at that, making Bulma chuckle. Saiyans. She shook her head. "Please understand, Goku. It's the ape that fought Kefla and killed your grandpa, not you. You're kind, generous and innocent and really sweet. You'd never hurt your family or friends. You need to control the ape and not let it control you. Please, don't blame yourself anymore. For our sake?"

Goku was quiet for a few moments, his body flinched once or twice before he nodded gently. "F-FINE… B-BUT, STAY KEFLA… IT'S… SAFER…"

"F-FINE, BUT YOU'LL OWE ME!" Kefla answered and Bulma snickered as she saw a huge smile on her face as she lied there on top of him. Or what passed for a smile on the face of a giant ape.

Bulma snuggled into his face as she murmured, feeling herself grow tired. "Don't worry, Goku. We'll always be there for you."

-]||[-

Bulma eventually fell asleep on top of Goku's snout, hugging his face. She was woken up by the first rays of sunlight as it hit her face. Goku's whole body shuddered as both he and Kefla started to shrink. Bulma jumped down to the sand and watched in interest the whole process until both Kefla and Goku were back to their former self. Naked as the day they were born too.

As soon as they were back, Bulma rushed and hugged them both tightly to her chest. "I'm glad that both of you are okay. That was really scary… But we all made it in the end!"

"Bulma… I'm so-"

"Shhh." Bulma cut him off as she hugged them tighter. "Nothing happened, Goku. Everything is okay…"

She felt both Kefla and Goku nod as they also hugged her back and hugged each other at the same time.

"I-It was you shouting my name that brought me back…" admitted Goku, surprising Bulma. "And Kefla too when I was about to lose it again…"

Bulma bit her lower lip as she hugged him tighter, her face a little red. It didn't seem that Kefla was faring any better. It felt good to know that she was that important to her friend. Being able to bring him back from his feral state.

They stayed like this for a while. Bulma enjoyed it when their tails sneaked around her waist and intertwined together. All three tails coiled together…

All three tails…

Three tails…

Wait a fucking moment! Bulma's happy and warm feelings suddenly halted as she looked and saw a third tail joined with the other two. A tail that was coming from her own lower back.

"Kyaaaa!" Bulma screamed like a little girl before she jumped back from shock, staring at her own tail.

"Bulma, what's wrong?" both of them asked her, clearly worried about her sudden action. "W-Wait, is that a tail?" It was Goku who asked.

It took Bulma a few moments before she understood what was going on. I did wish to be a Saiyan like Goku and Kefla… I had forgotten all about it after everything that happened…

"I wanted to ask you about that, Bulma. You even smell like a Saiyan." Kefla said.

Goku nodded. "Yes. I can smell it too."

Bulma wrinkled her nose at the thought that she smelt, but then she noticed it. The same smell that both Goku and Kefla shared underneath their personal smell. She was really a Saiyan now. There was no denying it. Her tail, her enhanced senses and the power she could feel coursing through her body.

She decided to explain. "When Pilaf was about to make his wish. I decided to make another one so that I'd deny them." Both of them nodded, confirming that they were following her so far. "I… All the time, I was jealous of you two… You're so amazing and powerful and brave that I couldn't compare to you guys… I was so useless… I wanted to be useful to you and stand beside you. The more I heard about Saiyans the more that I grew interested in them. And you two, seeing you both in front of me… I wanted to be like you guys."

"W-Wait, so you're really a Saiyan?'' asked Goku. She could see a hopeful gleam in both his and Kefla's eyes. She realised that they both were as far as they knew, the last of their race. Her race now too.

"T-That means… we're not alone anymore?" Kefla said-asked hopefully.

Bulma nodded a smile on her face. "Yes… You two will never be alone as long as we all have each other! I'll never leave you, you two."

She was rewarded by two beaming smiles as they both rushed and tackled her to the ground in a big hug, making Bulma giggle.

"You're not useless though, Bulma." Goku suddenly said.

Kefla nodded in her chest. "You saved our ass with the Boss Rabbit, distracted the robot to make me escape and brought Kakarot back to his senses… W-Well, you're not as strong as me. I'm the strongest after all, but we wouldn't be here without you."

Goku nodded this time as he buried his face into her chest. "You're strong, Bulma. Don't ever think of yourself as useless. Without you, we'd be still on the mountain. We'd never have travelled the world or saw all those places. We'd not have met Master Roshi or the Ox King or knew anything about the Dragon Balls. Thank you, Bulma!"

Bulma felt fresh tears welling in her eyes as she nodded, hugging both of her friends tighter to her chest. This time, her tail out of her own free will joined the other two. Interweaved together, all three of them. Just like their future.

They had stayed like that for a long while. The sun was already in the sky when they got out of each other's arms. Together, they raided Pilaf's castle searching for Goku's Power Pole and their capsules. Fortunately, they've found them in a decent condition and got to have a decent meal and a change of clothes for Kefla and Goku. It was Bulma's first time eating as much as she did.

It was hard for Bulma to move around. The tail screwed up with her balance and she needed time to get used to it. After they've finished, they sat on the ground near where they've woken up to discuss their next plan of action.

"So, where can I find my grandpa's ball?"

Bulma winced at that. "I'm sorry Goku. With how you guys can fly, I assumed that you'd simply fly and catch it. I didn't account for what happened… The Balls are rocks now, scattered across the whole world. It'd take them a year to recharge so we won't be able to find it in the meantime."

Goku simply shrugged. "It's okay, Bulma. It's not like you planned for us to get caught."

"We can always search for it next year." Kefla pointed out.

Goku eagerly nodded his head. "Yup! We can go on another adventure!"

Bulma smiled gratefully at her friends' forgiveness and how they took everything with a stride. She was sure that she'd be making a fuss in their place. She winced as she thought about how spoiled she sometimes acted.

"Now what though?" She asked. She'd not mind going with them to their house for a while before they went to hers, or they could simply travel around the world for a while longer.

"Well, we promised Master Roshi that we'd go to him, right?"

"Yup. The old man promised that he'd train us! You're coming with us, too. Right, Bulma?"

Bulma nodded eagerly. She did promise, didn't she? There was also unfamiliar excitement in her as the prospect of training and becoming as strong as Kefla and Goku. It was strange to her as she never liked training or working out. Could it be because I'm a Saiyan now? I didn't think that it already changed me this much…

"Yes. I'll go with you of course. But first, we need to go to my house to talk with my parents and get a few things. I also want to go to your house."

"My house?" Asked Goku.

Bulma nodded. "I didn't get the chance before, but now that we have time. I want to see your spaceship. I want to examine it if you don't mind."

Goku shook his head with a small smile. "You can always do what you want, Bulma. I trust you."

Bulma smiled and felt a warmth inside again at that. "L-let's go then!" She shouted as she began to float.

Both of them looked at her in surprise and asked at the same time. "You can fly now, Bulma?"

Bulma gave them a beautiful smile as she nodded happily. "Yup! I think because I became a Saiyan. I have so much power now!"

"Wait. What happened, Bulma? We heard you scream, but I saw no wound or injury." Asked Kefla. There was a strange interest in her eyes.

"Well. I was flying in the air when I made the wish. My body was in unbelievable pain and I fell down to the ground. I'm actually surprised that I wasn't injured by it."

Goku looked at Kefla. "Zenkai Boost?"

Kefla nodded. "Zenkai Boost."

"A what now?" Bulma asked, confused. "Wait, I remember you mentioning that before, but you never explained it."

"Well… When a Saiyan suffers from really bad injuries or life-threatening ones and survives, they get a power boost. The power boost is different for everyone and every situation. Some get their power doubled, while others get a ten time increase or more."

Bulma goggled for a moment, before she started ruffling her hair. Laughing. "Of course, Saiyans will get stronger from being injured. Damn cheating Saiyan…"

Kefla looked offended. "Hey! You're a cheating Saiyan too now!"

Bulma laughed even more now while Kefla scowled at her. Soon, both Goku and Kefla joined in the laughter.

Bulma shook her head. "Now, let's get going." She said as she turned around mid-air. "The last one to arrive at my house is a weakling!" She yelled as she rocketed toward the sky.

"Hey! WE DON'T EVEN KNOW THE LOCATION OF YOUR HOUSE!" Both of them yelled as she flew after her while Bulma simply laughed.

A.N:

The last chapter of the both update for today and the first arc of OG Dragon Ball.

This is my biggest chapter. Ever. A 18.5K words monster. I actually wrote it in three days, while chapter 1 took about two months. My muse is a bitch.

A lot of things happened in this chapter.

The gang meets the Ox King and Chi-Chi. A fight happens because the Ox King is just like his daughter. Attack first and ask questions later. Ox King is still Roshi's student so he's stronger than Goku and Kefla, but together they could fight him.

The gang finally meets Master Roshi! He's the same as ever, but doesn't get to see Bulma's boobs or pussy. This Master Roshi is surely unlucky, huh? He gets interested in both Goku and Kefla and offers to teach them!

Chi-Chi tries to get Goku to agree to marrying her, but Kefla isn't impressed at all.

Bulma finally gets her time to shine by saving Goku and Kefla from the Rabbit Boss. I didn't want Bulma to be totally useless and with Goku and Kefla being unable to transform, they needed Bulma's help here.

We got another weird POV. This time is Dr. Gero. This one is important for the future as it foreshadows some things and starts Gero's interest in Goku and Kefla.

And finally, the final act of the arc. Bulma agains gets her time to shine with her being the one to make the wish and becoming a Saiyan! And then bringing Goku back when he goes berserk Ōzaru. We get a giant royal battle with two Ōzaru and a giant robot. Hope that was exciting.

Finally, their journey ends, but it's only the beginning of their tale. Bulma is now a Saiyan and is ready to join Goku and Kefla in their training with Master Roshi.

With the first arc ending here, next is training with Master Roshi and the Tournament.

When will the next update be? Well, I don't know. Hopefully, it won't take as much as this one.

Anyway, for anyone who finished reading the chapter, thank you, and for those who liked it then please favourite, follow and leave a review.

Take care.
