Thanks to The Sinful and Primordial Vortex for beta. If you don't know them, then go and check out their stories. They're really great.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments.
One thing I need to say. Please read the summary and AN of the first chapter before you comment. One guy was complaining that I changed things from canon, and that I didn't say that things will be different… despite the fact that it says "AU" in the summary and I mentioned just that in the first AN…
Sorry for the small rant, but it pissed me off that they complained while being unable to read.
Disclaimer: I do not own Dragonball Z or any part of the Dragon Ball franchise. If I did I'd be really awesome.

Chapter 7 - Aftermath, Bulma's gift and a new enemy.
Kefla heard none of that as she stared at the unconscious Master Roshi with a blank face. She couldn't believe that she had won like that. That the match with Kakarot took everything out of the old master. She felt hollow as Bulma hugged her. Her friends were saying something to her, but she couldn't hear them. Kefla felt pathetic. Her path to victory, despite Bulma proving stronger than she expected, was hilariously easy. She didn't feel that she earned this victory at all… if Roshi had faced her at his best… could she have lost? She wasn't sure. She liked to boast that she was stronger than Kakarot, but if she were to be honest with herself, she didn't know if that was the truth or not.
Kefla gritted her teeth in frustration. She felt pathetic and cheated. After the last fight, it should've been either Roshi or Kakarot that won the tournament, not her! She was sure that everyone would mock her victory now, defeating already tired old men… She clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white, tuning out everyone around her.
She looked down with a scowl. This was not the fight that she wanted… This was the worst victory of her life, she was sure of it.
She wasn't out of her state by the time the around ceremony started. Well, calling it a ceremony might be an exaggeration as it was simply Kefla standing in the middle of the arena while the announcer declared her the winner one more time.
"AND ONCE AGAIN, GIVE IT UP FOR OUR WINNER OF THE 21ST TENKA'ICHI BUDOKAI AND THE STUDENT OF THE GREAT MUTEN ROSHI…. KEFLA!" he shouted to the enthusiastic cheers of the audience, none were louder than her own friends. However, for Kefla, she bitterly thought that people weren't as happy with her win as they were in the other matches. She didn't know if it was her mood colouring her perspective or if it was the truth, but it was enough to make her feel down even more.
"Oh, yes. Here is the 500,000 Zeni prize money," the announcer said, holding out a small envelope with the money inside of it. Kefla looked at it for a long moment, not taking it. "Hey, are you going to take it or what?" he whispered as he leaned forward.
Kefla sighed before she took it from her and put it in her trusty and only pocket on her uniform, just under her shirt and between her breasts.
"I guess, it's finally over…" she said as she walked backstage.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND SUPPORT! PLEASE TRAVEL SAFELY AND HOPE THAT WE SEE YOU AGAIN IN THE NEXT TOURNAMENT!"
"This was a fun tournament for sure," said Kakarot happily as she neared them.
Bulma nodded. "Yeah, I even enjoyed it. I guess becoming a Saiyan changed more things than just my genes. So far, it's for the best."
"I'm not so sure I liked my performance in this one," muttered Krillin unhappily. Kefla could sympathise with that.
Kakarot didn't let him complain, however, as he slapped his back. "Don't say that, Krillin. You were amazing out there, it's just that Master Roshi is the best! That attack of yours was super awesome, I'd love to fight against you!"
It worked like a charm as now Krillin was rubbing the back of his bald head sheepishly. "Awe, you're embarrassing me."
"Goku has a point," said Master Roshi just as Kefla reached them. "You all did wonderfully and performed much better than expected. I'm proud of you!"
They seemed to notice her and they all turned toward her, with bright smiles on their faces.
"Hey, congrats on your victory, Kefla." Krillin was the first to congratulate her.
Bulma was the next. "You were really good, Kefla."
Followed by Kakarot. "I can't wait to fight you now!"
"Ah, yeah… I won, I guess…"
Her unenthusiastic response earned her frowns from her friends.
"Are you alright, Kefla?" asked Bulma worriedly.
"Oh? Yeah! I'm great!" she said, putting on a fake wide smile.
"Are you sure?" Bulma said as she put her hand on her shoulder.
"Yep! I'm just hungry!" Kefla was thankful for her stomach as it chose to growl at the same moment followed by Kakarot's.
Bulma rolled her eyes before she laughed. "Of course, why did I expect something else?" She then turned to Master Roshi. "Come on, old man. You have to take us out for dinner."
Master Roshi balked, taking a step back as he started sweating knowing how much did they eat. "What? What about me? Don't you think it should be on Kefla since she won it all?"
Bulma wasn't having any of it as she marched toward him, an angry tick on her forehead. "You want Kefla to pay? Aren't you our master? We're your cute students that performed really well, you know? Don't we deserve a treat?"
Master Roshi looked to the side. "I'd not call any of you cute when eating," he muttered under his breath.
"What was that?"
"Nothing!" he said hastily, raising his hands in surrender. "Fine, dammit. I'll treat you to some food, just don't drain my life-saving!"
-]||[-
Master Roshi took them to a restaurant near the stadium that was called "Veggie Manor." Despite the name, the restaurant mostly had meat dishes. The staff of the restaurant were more than shocked at the amount of food that the three of them (herself, Bulma and Kakarot) were devouring. Even Krillin was eating much more than usual. The rest of the customers could only watch in shock, forgetting their own food at the savage display.
Master Roshi sheepishly turned toward one of the staff. "Uh… I think that we'll be needing more…" he then looked at Kakarot who literally inhaled a dish. "A lot more."
The waiter bowed, sweating a little. "I'd say so…"
Two hours later, the waiters apologised to them as they ate through every speck of food that the restaurant had stored.
"That was good, I guess," said Kakarot as he finished his dish. Clearly, none of them were full as the food was barely enough to sate one Saiyan, let alone three hungry ones.
"Thank you, Master Roshi," Krillin said, bowing to the old man.
Said old man was crying comically, moaning about losing all of his money.
"Oh, stop being a baby," Bulma chided. "I was going to pay the bill anyway, I just wanted you to suffer a bit," she added with an evil smirk.
"Oh, you evil witch! You shouldn't be so mean to your master, ungrateful brat."
Bulma ignored him as she looked at her and Kakarot. "We'll need to work on your manners when eating next. Look at me, I ate as much as you, but I'm not as dirty. Go and wash your faces and let's meet outside."
She and Kakarot grumbled unhappily but listened to Bulma. She always knew her stuff and was always right, so Kakarot and her learnt to listen to Bulma without any question. After they finished, they met everyone outside as they pondered their next move.
"So, any of you have plans now that the tournament has ended?" Master Roshi asked them.
"Now that a year has passed, I want to go and find my grandpa's Dragon ball."
"I guess it makes sense since it was left by your grandpa," said Bulma. "I'll give you the Dragon Radar when we reach my home."
Krillin looked excited at that. They have told him about the dragon balls and their adventure trying to search for them back when they were training with Master Roshi. "Hey, Can I go with you too? I think it'll be fun."
"Of course!" exclaimed Kakarot happily. "What about you Kefla?"
"I... I don't know yet."
Kakarot frowned at that but said nothing.
"Well before all of that," interjected Bulma. "We all going to my house and spending a few days there to rest. It's my birthday, and I'm not having any of you guys miss it!"
"Sure, Bulma!"
"Hmm, I never went to a birthday party before. We didn't have any at the temple."
"I guess I'll have to go to my student's birthday party," said Master Roshi before his expression turned perverted. "Sure hope that there are some hot city girls there!" only to be bonked by Bulma's and Kefla's tails.
"Let's hurry and leave for my house then!"
"Go ahead, me and Kefla will follow you later," said Kakarot suddenly, getting Bulma's and Kefla's attention. Bulma looked at Kakarot for a long moment before nodding.
Kakarot waited until everyone left them before he stepped into her personal space, staring her in the eyes. Kefla scowled at him, unsure what he wanted. "What do you want, Shrimp?"
He didn't seem bothered by the teasing for once as he just continued to stare into her eyes with an intensity that brought some heat to her cheeks. "What's wrong Kefla?" he finally said.
"W-What? Nothing is wrong."
He didn't seem to believe her. "You seemed down after the tournament, and you didn't eat as fast as usual. Normally, we're pretty even when eating, but when I finished my 20th bowl, you were still at your 10th!"
Since when is Kakarot this perceptive outside fights? Thought Kefla, surprised that he noticed. Bulma had noticed but she seemed to have fooled her in the arena, but now that she remembered the silent exchange between Bulma and Kakarot, she wondered if she fooled her at all after all.
"Why do you care?!" she shouted at him, her eyes narrowing into a death glare.
He simply said. "I don't like it."
Dumbfounded, she asked. "What?"
His eyes seemed to increase in intensity as he stepped closer, his face inches away from hers. "I don't know exactly why, but I don't like it when you're sad or feeling down. I don't like how you've been since the end of the tournament."
Kefla was stunned, and she was certainly blushing now for some reason. She knew that Kakarot cared for them, but something about how he said it just now somehow made it sound special for some reason. She averted her eyes, thinking that maybe she should tell him. He was a Saiyan after all, so maybe he'd understand her.
"I don't like how I won… I didn't get to have a serious fight in the tournament… I wanted to win while giving it my all, and I can't help but think that I'd have lost if the Old Man was still fresh when fighting me."
I didn't like winning without having to fight you. She added mentally.
"That's stupid," he said, making her scowl at him in anger.
"What?!"
"You were unlucky, yeah, but you fought those who were put in front of you. You didn't cheat or anything, so it's not like you didn't deserve the win. Your luck just sucked today. To be honest, while I enjoyed fighting Master Roshi, the one that I really wanted to fight the most was you. Honestly, I'm a little bummed out I didn't get to fight you, even if I did fight Master Roshi."
"Really?"
"Of course! You're the one that I want to fight the most. Just thinking about it makes my blood boil in excitement!" he exclaimed passionately, bringing his face closer leaving only an inch separating them. "I can fight you now, but it wouldn't be the same. If you're not happy then train harder for the next tournament and maybe you'll not get your ass kicked by me."
That ticked her off. "Like hell you'll kick my ass!"
"I'm sure you will if you continue to be this gloomy!" he said, smacking her head with his tail before taking off running. Kefla ran after the laughing Kakarot intending on giving him a beating.
"You'll get it now!"
She didn't manage to catch him until they reached the plane. Taking a seat beside Bulma, she unconsciously smiled at Kakarot who was rubbing his head and wincing. She looked at the side to see Bulma smiling warmly at her.
"I take it that you talked with Goku. You seem happier."
Only then did she realise that she was indeed happier, and her previous mood was forgotten after Kakarot's words and him riling her up.
"Stupid Kakarot…" she muttered with a smile on her face.

They landed just inside the gate of Bulma's house. The house was massive, bigger than anything Krillin had ever seen. He fully understood now that one of his friends was actually rich. Filthy rich.
"Welcome to my humble abode," said Bulma with a flourish, and with not a single shred of humbleness.
"That's a very big house," said Master Roshi. "Such a house would be hard to keep clean with only you and your mother, and I don't think you're the type to work chores." His eyes gleamed, a perverted smile starting on his lips. "I'm sure you have many cute maids working here!"
Krillin sighed as Bulma's tail slapped the grin off Master Roshi's face. It's not like Krillin had no interest in the other sex, he did. He also had his perverted side, but he was a teenage boy with blood in his veins! However, Master Roshi was a much bigger pervert all the time. It was no wonder that the man never married as far as he knew, though seeing him get his ass kicked by Kefla or Bulma each time he said something stupid was funny.
"We don't have any maids, actually. Father made cleaning robots to take care of the chores, and mother is the one who cooks."
"Bulma's mother makes the best food!" Declared Kefla loudly, because of course that was the most important thing to her. That and fighting.
Saiyans in general seemed to be like that, always. All they thought about was eating, training and fighting. It was a simple type of life, and while he enjoyed the training, Krillin thought it'd get boring to only do that in life with no other hobby. He on the other hand…
Wait… What do I have aside from eating, training and fighting… Krillin thought with a frown. Right… I jack off to porn…
Krillin's shoulder slumped. It seems that he was no better.
At least I have friends now, unlike back at the Temple. He looked at his friends as they walked closer to the house, a smile forming on his face.
As they got closer, Krillin's eyes snapped to a figure lounging on a chair in the sun, drinking a glass of some juice. She was a beautiful woman that looked a few years older than Bulma, with curly blonde hair and a great figure.
The woman seemed to notice them as she lifted her head up, a brilliant smile on her face that made Krillin's face heat up. "Bulma? You're back! And is that Goku with you?" She then looked beyond them at Master Roshi and himself, her closed eyes slightly opening to reveal beautiful blue. "Oh, and who are your friends?" She was looking at Kefla too with confusion on her face.
Before anyone could say anything, Master Roshi was on his knee beside the woman, his hand holding one of hers as he planted a kiss on it. "Oh, great beauty! I'm the great Master Roshi, the Legendary Kame-Sennin, pleased to meet your acquaintance! You must be Bulma's older sister!"
"Oh my~," the woman said, but before she could say anything else, Bulma was beside the old master, a leg raised before she delivered a kick that sent him flying.
"Don't flirt with my mother, you shrivelled up old pervert!"
Kefla and Goku cackled, but Krillin's jaw hung open as he stared at the woman in disbelief. He too thought that she was the older sister that Bulma mentioned once or twice, but to think this young woman was actually her mother.
If Bulma grows up half as gracefully… He turned to the laughing Goku with narrowed eyes. "You're a lucky bastard, aren't you?" Krillin didn't elaborate upon seeing Goku's confused face.
Krillin had picked up on the tension growing between his three friends that they seemed unaware of. Sure, Krillin found both Bulma and Kefla incredibly attractive, as any straight man or teenager would, but he had no romantic interest in them and was happy for his best male friend. That didn't stop him from feeling a little bit jealous of his clueless friend.
"My name is Krillin, nice to meet you." He introduced himself to Bulma's mother politely.
The woman smiled kindly at him. "What a nice young man. You must be another Saiyan then since you're so short!"
Krillin tripped as Goku and Kefla laughed at him. He grumbled loudly, throwing them the stink eye. He hated being so damn short, maybe he should go after those Dragon Balls and ask to make him tall? Hopefully, that wasn't beyond their powers.
"Speaking of which. Where is Kefla?" she looked around in confusion. Krillin wondered if Bulma's mother expected to find Kefla hidden under their clothes the way she was looking.
"I'm here!" Kefla exclaimed, half amused and half annoyed as not being recognised. Krillin couldn't really blame Bulma's mother. He too didn't recognise Kefla when they all woke up to see the older young woman after her massive growth spurt.
"Oh my!" Bulma's mother gasped. "I didn't recognise you, sweetie! You've grown so much!" Then Bulma's mother proceeded to grope and touch Kefla's body, making all of them flush red. "You're filling up nicely. You've grown to be such a beautiful young woman!"
"Mom! Stop molesting Kefla!" Bulma cried out as she pried her mother off a red-faced Kefla.
Her mother simply laughed it off. "Anyway, let's get you all inside! I have a few cookies baked just a while ago-"
She didn't finish her sentence as Kefla and Goku ran inside at full speed. Krillin sighed at their love for food… as he kept up with them too.
-]||[-
Goku was in a pickle. Bulma had explained to him all about birthdays and birthday parties, and what a thing it was! Goku would be excited about his own birthday party and all the food that'd be in it, if only he knew when he was born! However, what was troubling was that Master Roshi explained to them that they were supposed to bring gifts on birthdays. That was a problem since Goku had no idea what kind of gifts people brought at birthdays, and he doubted that Bulma would like some animal that he hunted.
So, he decided to ask someone for advice. Kefla was in the same situation, and there was no way he could ask Bulma or her parents… especially her mother. Goku blushed before he shook his head. Master Roshi was out since for some reason he really doubted that he'd give advice that Bulma would appreciate. So, he decided to go to Krillin for advice.
"You want me to help you find a gift for Bulma?"
Goku nodded. "Yeah, I have no idea what to get for her…"
"Well, I'm not really sure myself. I've never been to a birthday party before."
"What are you going to give her then?"
Krillin looked a little embarrassed. "I… I was thinking of sculpting a statue of all of us together, you know."
"That sounds cool, Krillin."
Krillin looked at him hopefully. "Really?"
"Yup!" Goku looked down at his hands with a frown. "Though I don't think I can do something like that."
"Why not go out to the city together, and we may find something that Bulma might like there?"
Goku looked toward the city with a frown. The last time they were out, the city was really crowded, and Goku didn't exactly enjoy the experience. But he had a gift to get, so he'd soldier through it.
-]||[-
Like the last time, the city was incredibly crowded. Goku was sure that on the street there were more people than there had been in the audience back at the tournament. It really astounded Goku how these people could enjoy living like this, with all the smell, noises and pollution. Bulma's house at least was isolated from the city with vast land that kept the noise and pollution out.
"So, see anything you like so far?" asked Krillin.
"Not really…"
"How about some makeup? I heard girls like those and Bulma takes care of herself."
"I don't really have the money to buy… What did you call it? Makeup."
Krillin turned around, staring at Goku in disbelief. "You don't have any money? How do you expect to buy a gift then?" Goku had a stricken look and no answer to that, making Krillin sigh. "I don't have any money either, or I'd have lent you, how-"
Goku wasn't listening anymore as something caught his attention. A banner that was set up above an entrance leading to a big side alley that read: "West City's annual competition – Prize: A coupon for an unlimited lifetime supply of your choice of food."
A distant memory tickled Goku's mind. Once, Bulma had told them what wish she wanted from the Dragon Ball, and he remembered that she clearly said that her original wish was a lifetime supply of strawberries. A wide smile spread on Goku's face as he found the perfect gift for Bulma. He caught Krillin's hand and dragged him into the alley.
"Goku, where are we going?"
Goku pointed at the banner.
"Seriously, Goku? Is this the time to be thinking about food?"
"It's not about that." Goku shook his head and explained to Krillin his idea.
Krillin looked thoughtful. "Hmm, that sounds like a nice idea, Goku. Come one, let's go so that you can win this."
Inside the alley, there were even more people than Goku had ever seen in his life. Men and women of all ages crowded the alley almost on top of each other. To the side, there was a raised platform and on it was a curly blond-haired man with dark glasses and a dark suit.
"Isn't that the announcer from the tournament?" asked Goku, wondering what was this guy doing here.
"Yup! I guess he can't just rely on a tournament held every few years."
"Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen to the West City annual competition!" the announcer exclaimed loudly to the crowd's cheer. "This year's first prize is a couple for a lifetime supply of your choice of food. One choice! Any food you want and you can get it free for the rest of your life!"
The crowd roared at that, especially women who looked like the mother type. Probably, most people here found this an opportunity to get free food and lower their expenses. Bulma had explained how not everyone was as rich as her, and there are people who struggled with paying for food. It wasn't something that Goku completely understood as he was used to just hunting for food whenever he was hungry.
"You'll have to complete three challenges to win, and there is only one winner! In case of a tie, a fourth challenge will be used to determine the winner if at all." The announcer chuckled darkly, making everyone nervous. "The first challenge will kick out half of you! It's an Arm Wrestling contest! Each one of you will choose a number and you'll have to defeat one opponent to progress to the next round."
Goku sighed in relief knowing that the first challenge was going to be easy. He walked toward the announcer to get his own number.
"Son Goku? What are you doing here?" asked the shocked announcer.
"I can ask ya the same thing."
The announcer chuckled lightly. "Well, the pay from the Tenka'ichi Budōkai isn't enough for me to get by until the next tournament, so I kind of have to earn my living."
"I want to win the prize myself."
The announcer nodded. "Of course, now that you're here, I'm worried that no one else has a chance unless Krillin there wants to compete."
Krillin shook his head. "Nope, this is Goku's show."
"Well." The announcer leaned forward, whispering to Goku. "I'm rooting for you, Son Goku!"
Goku thanked him, took his number and went to find his opponent after he checked the draw. His opponent was a huge bald man with a thick moustache. The man sneered at Goku as he saw him before he laughed out loud. "A brat? This is going to be easier than I thought."
Goku said nothing, knowing how people underestimated him because of his height and age. They didn't know that Goku could defeat everyone standing there without even breaking a sweat. He sat down and got ready.
The announcer stood beside them as everyone watched. "One, two, three… Go!"
As soon as the signal was given, Goku flexed his wrist, brought his opponent's hand down at the table hard and sent him flying away. People goggled at Goku while the presenter announced Goku's win.
"Well, that was easy," commented Krillin with a chuckle.
It took one more hour before everyone was finished, and now the alley was half as full as the rest of the people left in disappointment.
"Now, that the first challenge is done, it's time for the next event!" Mr. Presenter, as Goku came to call him in his mind, exclaimed. "The next challenge will be in the National Park, a Log Throwing challenge! The top 10 competitors who score the farthest toss advance to the next round!"
Half an hour later, they were standing in a vast park. Each challenger had a big log on the ground in front of them several times their height.
"Now, please pick up the logs." They all picked up theirs, Goku found it pretty light, but he saw how others were struggling with it immensely. "At three, I want you to throw them as far as you can. Ready… One, two… three… GO!"
Goku carried the log with one arm and angled it forward before he threw it with all his might. "Haa!"
While everyone's logs travelled short distances, Goku's soared through the air like a missile, out of the park and the city itself, leaving a completely shocked and terrified crowd.
Meanwhile:
Oolong chuckled darkly in his transformed state. "Give me your daughter, or I'll slaughter your family and your village!" He leered at the cute young girl that was hiding behind her father.
Thanks to a certain monkey and a blue-haired girl, he had to travel far before he could find another place to terrorise and get whatever he wanted.
I swear I'll have my revenge on them one day!
Suddenly, out of nowhere, something long and hard struck the side of his head. A crack could be heard as the transformed pig fell down unconscious. A cloud of smoke later revealed the pig's true form to the now angry and suddenly brave villagers.
"Who is in the mood for a Pig Roast?" One of them asked viciously.
Back to Goku:
With the second challenge done, they all moved back to the alley where there was a long table set up with ten chairs behind it. Everyone looked at Goku warily, now knowing how strong he is, and they feared another physical challenge that would give him the advantage.
"Now for our last challenge people!" Mr. Presenter exclaimed loudly. He really has an extremely loud voice. "An Eating Contest!"
The remaining challengers cheered, not seeing the wide grin on both Goku's and Krillin's faces. The others had no idea what was about to hit them.
"The contest is simple! Finish 40 scorching and spicy dishes in under one hour without drinking a drop of water; the first to finish is the winner! Even if the others quit, if you don't finish the challenge, you won't win anything!"
Everyone gulped at that. Spicy food was never something easy to eat, let alone forty dishes of torture. However, they've come this far, and no one was going to quit.
"Go!"
Goku didn't waste any time putting the first bite in his mouth. Melting hot lava burned his tongue and mouth, his face growing hotter every second and not from embarrassment. Tears in his eyes, Goku nearly choked at the extremely spicy food that just killed his taste buds. And it tasted horrible on top of that! Half of the other challengers quit right then and there.
What the hell is this made of? Are they trying to stop anyone from winning? Goku cursed inwardly as he took in another bite. Somehow, it was worse than the first one. I feel like dying, but… This is for Bulma's sake! I. Must. Endure.
And so he ate, one bite after the other. Those who quit and those who were watching stared at him in pure shock and amazement. Now, even those who were against him cheered him on as he was the last one remaining. Each bite was pure agony, but Goku steeled himself and ate.
Forty minutes later.
"I'M DONE!" Goku roared out a literal fire as he announced that he was finished. He was the only one remaining so that meant he was the undisputed winner. He didn't hear the Presenter announce his win as he ran towards the nearest source of water, a really large barrel that was prepared for the challengers and drank it all.
At least I won. Goku thought in relief after he finished every single drop of water.
-]||[-
An hour later, they were walking through the city when a voice called out for Goku.
"Kakarot!"
They turned around to see Kefla running toward them. She wore casual clothes consisting of tight blue jeans and a white shirt that was tight around the chest area, probably she had borrowed it from Bulma. She looked good, Goku admitted to himself, blushing slightly.
"Yeah, Kefla?"
"I was searching for you, needed your help with Bulma's birthday gift."
"You have an idea of what you want to get?" asked Krillin.
Kefla nodded. "Bulma's mother told me that Bulma likes fashion. She hasn't had the chance to go shopping for a long while now, so she'd really love some clothes. That's why I'm going to the mall right now. You guys coming?"
Goku saw Krillin look at him and Kefla, a small smirk spreading on his face. "Sorry, but I need to finish my own gift. Why don't you take Goku with you and go without me?" He then turned around and ran away, not before shouting. "Have fun you two!"
Both of them looked at each other in confusion. Giving up on what Krillin meant, they shrugged and made their way towards the mall.
The mall was massive! it wasn't as big as Bulma's house, but it WAS almost as big as Pilaf's castle. Dozens of shops that sold various items were inside, with entertainment areas, restaurants, and resting places. Hundreds of people were inside, shopping, eating and enjoying their time. Neither Kefla nor Goku had any idea where to go inside the mall itself. Thankfully, an older lady took pity on them and directed Kefla to a known shop that sold all kinds of women's clothing.
Kefla dragged him inside, making him stop just outside the changing rooms. There were women and girls of various ages inside the shop and all kinds of mysterious clothes that Goku had never seen before.
"Wait here. I'll get some clothes and try them on."
"Why would you try them on?" asked Goku, confused. "Aren't they for Bulma?"
Kefla nodded. "Yes, but Bulma's mother said I should try them anyway as our builds aren't that different then buy it with Bulma's size in mind… She also for some reason told me that I need to show it to some boy and take his opinion for some reason, and suggested you."
Goku blinked. He didn't get the need for all of that, but Bulma's mother worked in mysterious ways. "Sure."
He blinked again when Kefla ran off before she ran back straight into the changing room without even a glance at him. A few moments later, the curtain opened and Kefla stepped out.
Goku stared hard at Kefla. She was wearing a dark blue bodycon dress that hugged her like a second skin and reached just to the middle of her healthy thighs. Goku gulped, his face on fire as he took in Kefla's beautiful appearance. It suited her well, and he had a hard time not imagining Bulma standing beside her wearing the same dress.
"S-So… How do I look?" She asked, her face tomato red, just like his, he was sure.
Goku swallowed as he tried to find his voice. "Y-You look great."
Kefla's blush intensified. "Thanks!" she squealed loudly and ran back inside the changing room. Goku thought that he heard her say "Thank you, Bulma's mother." for some reason.
It was a sentiment that Goku found himself thinking of when Kefla stepped out next, wearing a risque purple bikini.
-]||[-
The birthday party was a huge success in Bulma's opinion. It was one of the best in Bulma's life, if not the best. Honestly, the party itself was great, but the real reason it was the best was that for the first time, she had true friends to enjoy her birthday with her. Her sister hadn't come this time either since she was busy with her new book, so that was a sore spot, but her friends were more than enough.
Fuck her, if she can't spare a few hours for her little sister, why should I care?
Now though, was the time for opening her gifts which was Bulma's favourite time. She had already gone through everything, and the only ones remaining were Old Man Roshi and her friends.
Roshi was first as he presented his gift to Bulma. Bulma took it, a surprised grunt escaping her lips at the unexpected weight of the gift. It looked like some type of clothes wrapped in gift paper, so she didn't expect it to weigh twice as much as the turtle shells she last wore. When she tore open the paper, she found a gi. It was different from the one she got at the end of the training. The shirt was shorter, and would likely reveal her naval and the colouring was different; the pants were dark blue while the shirt was purple with the symbol of the Kame School at the back and on her chest. There was also a dark grey undershirt with grey wristbands and black shoes, and all of them weighed much more than they should.
"You've technically graduated from under me, so that's gi is your real graduation gift." Master Roshi started explaining, chuckling. "I know that you won't have much time to train while studying magic under my sister, so weighted clothes will help in that regard, and I thought new colours and a new style would suit you better than the standard uniform."
Bulma smiled at the old master. "Thanks, I really love it."
Roshi grinned perversely, opening his arms wide. "Now, maybe you can thank this old man with a hug-" Bulma's tail lashed out, striking Roshi's cheek and sending him flying away.
"Seriously, he does one good thing then ruins it immediately."
She moved to Kefla's gift. It was a large box, so Bulma had no idea what was in it though, for some reason, Kefla looked nervous. Opening it, she found various clothes: a tight-fit purple dress, a dark blue tube top with white booty shorts, a purple bikini, and much more. Bulma's eyes widened before she squealed and bounced on Kefla, hugging her.
"Thank you, Kefla!"
Kefla seemed to smile, as she stared at Bulma's eyes from so close, pink dusting her cheeks. "Really? I thought that you might not like it."
"Why wouldn't I? I haven't gone shopping for more than a year! I have no new clothes and these all look so sexy and cool!" she pressed a kiss, maybe closer to Kefla's mouth than normal. "Thank you, Kefla!" She thanked her again, enjoying the feel of her body against hers for a moment longer before she released the red-faced girl.
"G-Glad that you like it."
Krillin was next, he stepped forward as nervous as Kefla. Bulma understood now. Her friends had never been to a birthday party before, so they probably had no idea what to get her, especially since she was a rich heiress that could get anything she wanted. But that didn't matter to Bulma, the fact that they brought her a gift was enough, regardless of what it was.
Bulma took the strangely shaped gift, wrapped badly in gift papers. She tore the papers off and stared, eyes wide in wonder at what she saw. It was a small statue of all of them; Roshi sitting on a small hill, smoking his pipe while looking up, and under the hill were the four of them, wearing their festival clothes and laughing together.
Bulma smiled widely. She knew that Krillin, just like her, had trouble getting friends, so he cherished their friendship deeply. She hugged the bald short kid. "Thank you, Krillin. This is really nice, I'll make sure to cherish it."
Krillin blushed, scratching his cheeks awkwardly and said nothing, making her giggle.
Last but not least was Goku, whose eyes were darting from side to side as if he was ready to bolt. Bulma bit her lips to stifle a chuckle at his nervousness. "Now, what do you have for me, Goku?" she asked slyly.
Goku blushed a little and silently handed her a piece of paper. Bulma looked at it, and read: "Lifetime Supply of your choice of food." She raised an eyebrow in question at the strange gift.
Goku stayed silent for a moment longer before he explained. "I remember that you said your original wish was a Lifetime Supply of strawberries… There was a competition in the city, and I thought you'd like the gift…" he trailed off, looking unsure of himself.
Bulma's heart was warmed that Goku remembered something trivial she offhandedly mentioned more than a year ago. She smiled widely as she hugged him, giving him a kiss much like the one she gave Kefla earlier. "Thank you, Goku. This is a really nice gift."
She was rewarded by Goku's usual smile… and his intense blush.

Bulma finished hugging each one of her friends. "Well, what did you guys decide to do?"
"Krillin and I are going to search for my Grandpa's dragon ball for now," said Goku, sounding a little sad. It's not like she wasn't sad herself. She got used to her friends, having them around every day, and to go from that to not seeing them for a while was hard.
Kefla shrugged, averting her eyes, but Bulma could see the sadness in them. "I'm going to train with Master Roshi for a while longer."
"Really, Kefla? So you don't want to go with us after all?"
Kefla shook her head at Krillin's question. "Not this time. I want to get stronger so…" she shook her head again. "You better prepare to get your asses kicked once you get back."
"As if!" exclaimed Goku, a challenging gleam in his eyes as he stared at Kefla. "We'll join you after we find the Dragon Ball, and then I will kick your ass!"
Kefla's eyes narrowed at him, leaning forward to glare at him. "Really? Big words from a shrimp!"
"Okay, okay! Stop that both of you, leave it until you reunite." Bulma interjected before this would become another fight. She turned toward Master Roshi who was watching them all in amusement. "What did you say your sister's name was again?"
"Baba."
What a weird name. "Somehow, I feel that I've heard it before…"
Master Roshi ignored her. "Don't worry about separating for a while, my youthful students," he said, directing his words at all of them. "The world is vast and you'll meet new friends, but as long as you hold the friendships that you've already formed in your hearts, then it'll be like we never left! Besides, goodbyes make reuniting all the sweeter!"
Bulma smiled at the old man. He might be an annoying pervert, but when he was serious, he could be wise and dependable.
"Yup!" exclaimed Bulma. "We'll see each other again, don't worry! Then we can live together here or somewhere else!"
The others agreed enthusiastically, and their spirits lifted.

"So, this is where you lived with your grandpa?" asked Krillin as soon as they landed on the top of the mountain near Gohan's old home.
"Yup, pretty cool, huh?" Answered Goku, a wide smile on his face as he looked at his home after more than a year.
"Yeah, the scenery is great too. I bet it was really peaceful living here unlike in the city."
Goku nodded as they entered the house. Since it was more than a year since anybody visited, everything was covered by a thick layer of dust, which flew into their faces as they opened the door, making them cough. After it stopped, Goku took in everything, feeling nostalgic, especially when he gazed at the rack where his Grandpa's ball used to be before Kefla and Bulma crashed into his life.
"Are you alright, Goku?"
"Yeah… I was just thinking…"
"About what?"
Goku was silent for a moment before he answered. "I'd have probably never left this place if it weren't for Kefla and Bulma. I'd have probably spent the rest of my life here, with no knowledge about the outside world for the rest of my life, without meeting any of you guys or learning from Master Roshi or going to the tournament." He turned and gave Krillin a wide smile. "I'm glad that I met them."
Krillin rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "I'm glad that you met them too since it means that I get to meet you guys… You're like my best friends."
Goku slapped Krillin's back, making him stumble. "You're our best friend too, Krillin!"
Krillin blushed in embarrassment, so he worked on changing the subject. "So, what are we stopping here for?"
"My costumes are worn out now, so I thought I'd pick what I have left here before we go."
"Are you not going back here?" Krillin asked, making Goku frown.
"I… I don't know… I love this place, but I never knew the world could be this big. I might train with Master Roshi more, and I have no idea what Kefla and Bulma will do from now on… Aside from training, I really have no idea what to do or where to live…" Confessed Goku. Now that he got the chance to think about it, he was feeling a little lost. He didn't want to be separated from the friends that he made, but it's not like he could force them to live with him. He looked up when he felt Krillin put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, you have time to figure it out. If you want to go adventuring then count me in! I too don't have any place or anything to do, you know. We could totally train together!"
Goku smiled, liking the idea since Krillin was one of his best friends too. "Sure!" before he started packing his clothes.
"Say, Krillin, why don't you grow your hair since you now know that you don't need to be bald to be a martial artist?"
"… I forgot about it… But, hey, chicks dig bald men!"
Goku didn't understand what he meant, eying him weirdly. "Why do chicken and digging have to do with this?" he said, making Krillin facepalm.
"I mean that pretty girls find bald men attractive."
Goku who finished packing up simply said. "Ah, I see." He looked up to see Krillin eyeing him weirdly, looking at his hair before muttering something about Kefla and Bulma. "What?"
"Those bastards at the temple lied to me again!" Krillin exclaimed as he fell to the ground, pounding at it comically.
Goku simply sweatdropped, not knowing what Krillin was talking about.

After that, they took off flying north as according to the map and the Dragon Radar, the closest Dragon Ball was north of East City. They didn't move that fast since they weren't in a hurry and thus, by the time night fell, they were only just passing over Orange Star City. It was a beautiful sight to see the city and its light in the darkness of night, something that they'd never seen before as they didn't fly in West City at night.
They landed just outside the city to make camp for the night. Goku went and hunted for dinner while Krillin took care of the fire. After a nice meal, eating the two bears that Goku caught, they went to sleep.
The next day started the same with them making some progress before they reached a small forest just south of East River, home to one of the longest rivers in the world. On the east side of the forest was a small town that wasn't on the map that they had on them. What grabbed their attention, however, was two big clamours on either side of the town. Interested, each one of them chose one side and dove there to land.
-]||[-
Krillin landed on the east side of the town in what looked like a square. The first thing he noticed was how badly damaged most of the buildings in the town were; clearly, someone attacked them before. The next thing was that a big frog-like demon with a Mohawk hairstyle and two swords on his back was dragging a cute teenage girl. The girl was crying while the people in the town looked in sadness or in the case of one woman who could only be her mother, was trying to beg the monster to leave her daughter be.
"Help! Please!" screamed the girl.
Her mother was thrown to the ground as the frog demon backhanded her. "Please, not my daughter, I beg you."
Krillin didn't wait any further as he stepped forward. There was no way that he could stand and watch either as a martial artist of the Kame school or as a man. "Hey, Ugly! Why don't you go to some swamp to pick someone as disgusting as you!"
His words worked like a charm as everyone froze while the monster turned to look at Krillin with his ugly mug forming a scowl.
"Are you talking about me, the Great Susha, baldie?" The monster growled.
"I don't see anyone uglier than you here."
The monster threw the girl to the ground. She immediately ran and was hugged by her mother as the beast stalked forward, stomping on the ground menacingly. "It seems that there is someone who needs to be taught a lesson."
If it was Krillin from a year ago, he'd have been afraid of facing such a monster. He could sense the monster's strength, but it was nothing compared to Master Roshi for example. Now, after training under Master Roshi and with his friends, he was more than confident he could take the monster on, but even if he wasn't, he'd not run away leaving these people to their fate.
Susha unsheathed his swords before he swung them at the same time to behead Krillin, forming an X, however, Krillin easily ducked under the attack before he sent a powerful punch to Susha's gut sending him flying and crashing into a house as his swords flew from his hands in another direction. The people were stunned before they started cheering.
"Not yet, he is still alive," warned Krillin. The people were shocked, but his words were soon confirmed as Susha emerged from the destroyed building without a scratch on him, making Krillin frown.
That's strange. I'm sure that I hit him hard enough to injure him, but he seems fine. He isn't strong enough to just shrug off that punch.
Susha was clearly pissed, veins clearly pulsing on his forehead. "You're stronger than you look, shrimp. You shouldn't have done that though; I'm going to kill you!" Susha yelled before he bounced at Krillin.
Krillin easily dodged the first punch and blocked the second. He retaliated but was shocked to see his fist pass through Susha as his body liquefied around his fist as if he was made of water. Due to his shock, Krillin was unable to dodge the next punch as he was sent flying, crashing into a post.
Coughing, he stood up as he watched the monster smirking at him. "What the hell was that?"
"Hahahaha! I have the ability to turn my body into a liquid! Your attacks can never injure me or hit me!"
Do physical attacks not work at all, or is there a limit? Thought Krillin before he decided to test it.
Krillin blurred moving at his max speed, getting into Susha's personal space while the monster wasn't even aware that Krillin moved yet as he left an afterimage. With all his might, he punched Susha, creating a big shockwave as his fist was buried into Susha's gut since the monster didn't have time to liquefy. Susha was bent in two for less than a moment before he exploded into various pieces.
"Ha! Take that you bastard!" exclaimed Krillin in triumph to the cheers of the crowd.
He took a step forward before he got a foreboding feeling in his stomach. It was confirmed as he heard people gasp, and when he turned around he only saw Susha reforming and lunging on him. Since his guard was down, Krillin's body was trapped by the villain's liquefied one. He couldn't move any of his arms as Susha's grip on him tightened, making him cry out in pain.
"Hahahaha! Your cries are music to my ears, shrimp!" Susha laughed at Krillin's pain and applied even more pressure. "And now to kill you!"
Susha moved his body so the liquid started engulfing Krillin's throat and head, making it harder and harder for him to breathe. He felt his strength leaving him as his lungs and throat were being crushed, and the pressure on his skull only made things worse and cut off blood from reaching the brain properly.
Is this it? Am I going to die because of this asshole? Fuck! I refuse!
"HAAA!"
With all his remaining strength, Krillin sent a huge wave of Ki that erupted from every part of his body. It worked wonderfully as it blasted Susha to pieces again, and allowed Krillin to get free. Krillin fell to his knee, breathing hard as he gulped mouthful after mouthful of air, feeling his strength slowly getting back to him. He had to dodge though as Susha who reformed bounced on him, trying to capture him again.
"F-Fine, if physical attacks won't work, so how about this!?" yelled Krillin as he sent a Ki blast that hit Susha's arm vaporising it and making him scream in pain.
Susha screamed in pain as Krillin cheered at scoring such an injury, however, he was shocked when Susah liquefied before solidifying again with both his arms being there as if nothing happened.
"No way… is he immortal?" asked Krillin in disbelief.
"I see, so you can use those energy attacks then? No matter! Have you realised how futile is it to fight me? No matter how much you injure my body, I'll just reform!"
Krillin, unwilling to give up, sent several Ki blasts at Susha. Susha proved more agile than his looks indicated as he dodged most of them, liquefying and solidifying to make them pass through him harmlessly as while he could regenerate, clearly he was still able to feel the pain. Some of them did hit him, but he reformed easily enough.
It continued like that for a while, with Krillin resorting to Ki blasts which Susah mostly dodged, and then having to dodge and block Susha's own physical attacks as the monster clearly couldn't use Ki. As time went on, Krillin started getting tired and thus, more and more of Susha's hits found their mark, leading him to sustain even more damage.
Okay, this is not working, and I'm only wasting my strength. I need to find a way to end this… Though Krillin frantically as he was being pressed into a corner slowly. Wait… can he reform if nothing remains of him? I have to try it in a way he won't escape though.
Krillin jumped backwards, putting a distance between them before he rushed at his max speed. He reached Susha before the monster realised it, and grabbed his arm before using his strength, Krillin spun and launched the monster in the air. Susha soon found himself flying easily a hundred meters above ground, he tried to liquefy but it proved harder to control in the air as he started falling down. Below, Krillin extended his hand. In front of it, a golden Ki ball formed. The ball was formed of hundreds and hundreds of saws made of Ki that spun and rotated in every direction giving the shape of a ball. It wasn't a stable attack as it exploded soon after release, but it was something that would deliver insane damage as it shredded anything.
He waited for the right moment before he launched it at the air-born Susha. "Destructo Ball!"
The ball moved fast and hit Susha squarely, for a moment nothing happened before a bright flash blinked in existence as the ball exploded in a big explosion that covered Susha, shredding him to pieces.
Krillin waited for a few moments, not letting his guard down this time. Nothing happened. He sensed around the area, but he couldn't detect Susha's presence anymore. Sighing in relief, he fell to his butt, breathing heavily.
"Finally over…"
The people stared at him, completely gobsmacked, and their jaws hit the ground before they erupted into cheers. Something hit Krillin, making him tense for a moment, before he noticed that it was the girl from before, hugging him.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" she said again and again.
Krillin laughed awkwardly. "It's no problem for the great Krillin. You're welcome," he said while rubbing the back of his head.
His reward was a kiss on the cheek from the girl that turned his whole face red before he passed out, much to the amusement of everyone present.

Goku landed in a clearing on the edge of the town, between the town itself and the forest near it. He could immediately see that he was late as a dozen corpses, most of them women, filled the ground. The culprit was obviously the person standing in the middle of the pile of corpses. The culprit in question was a beautiful-looking woman, though obviously not human. She had teal skin, her hair was orange-red and reached the end of her back, two long ears that went with her inhuman look and two malice filled red eyes. She had no weapon on her even though the corpses looked like they were brutally cut down by something sharp.
The woman seemed to sense him as she turned her head to look at him. A brief shock flashed in her eyes before a gleam of something appeared there as she turned fully to face him.
"Oh my~ such a cute little boy, and right in my strike zone too~. Name is Mamba, what's yours, cutie?" she said in a tone that sent shivers down Goku's spine as the demonic woman slowly licked her lips.
"Son Goku," he answered on reflex before he shook his head. "Are you the one who killed these people?"
She put a hand on her hip. "I did kill them, yes, what of it?"
Goku's eyes hardened, narrowing at the woman as he took a fighting pose. "Then I have to put an end to you."
Mamba seemed shocked for a moment before she burst out laughing. She laughed for a minute before she calmed down. "You, kill me?" she said with a scoff before she gave him another weird look, a large smile played on her lips. "I don't want to kill such a fine-looking specimen, so how about this? You stand down, and I take you to my room and show you the time of your life."
Goku didn't exactly understand what she offered, but the shiver that he felt told him that he didn't want to find out. "No thank you."
Mamba clicked her tongue irritably. "Such a shame… oh, well, I could always have fun with you afterwards as long as I leave some of you intact."
With that, she extended her hand in front of her just as two knives appeared in the air and launched themselves at Goku who managed to jump to the side to avoid being stabbed.
"What? Where did those come from?" asked Goku in surprise as the two knives had materialised out of thin air. He didn't have time to ponder as he jumped again to avoid several more knives. Mamba didn't give him any respite as she continued firing knives at him, so Goku had to keep moving.
After a few more minutes of that, Goku grew annoyed and rushed at Mamba. In less than a moment, he was inside her guard and sent a straight punch at her. Mamba proved more agile than he thought as she managed to dodge his attack before conjuring a steel bat and swinging faster than he could dodge. The steel bat hit Goku square in the jaw. Pain erupted in his right cheek as he was sent flying, a little blood escaping his mouth.
Normally, a steel bat wouldn't even faze Goku as it was nothing compared to Master Roshi's punches, but being used by someone powerful enough, it could cause serious damage. If anything, it proved that Mamba had unexpected strength compared to how frail she looked. Goku stood up, wiping the blood from his lips, and sent a glare at her.
"How can you make things appear like that?"
Mamba shrugged, the bat resting on her shoulder lazily. "Magic," she said simply.
Can Bulma do that too? He thought after hearing her answer. I'm getting excited thinking of our fights if she learns to do it!
Mamba looked him up and down before she smirked. "You sure are strong, Goku~" the weird tone was back again, making Goku shiver. "You see, I like cute little boys like you since they aren't gross like adult men, but they keep on breaking!" she whined as if it was the world's biggest tragedy. "You seem to be quite strong for a human," as she said it, she started tugging at her shirt, revealing more of her cleavage as she bent forward. "How about we forget about this fight and you come with me~ don't worry, I'll take good care of you~ I'll be sure to show you such pleasures that you'd not want to leave~."
Now Goku did understand what she meant, remembering what Bulma's mother had taught him. "Not interested," he said. While she was attractive, she had nothing on Bulma and Kefla. He didn't understand why Bulma and Kefla always came to his mind first in such a situation, but now wasn't the time for it, he figured.
Mamba scowled. "I guess you want it the hard way then. I always get what I want," she said before she fired several sickly green-coloured Ki blasts at Goku.
Goku fired his own blasts, cancelling hers before he again had to dodge several knives. He fired another Ki blast, making Mamba stop her knife throwing, and moved, reaching her just as she dodged. Mamba's eyes widened at seeing him, and Goku tried to kick her, but to his shock, her hair started growing rapidly, wrapping itself around his ankle before she used her leverage to slam Goku repeatedly into the ground knocking the air out of his lungs. Goku felt himself being spun around before being launched in the air, crashing into a building at the edge of the clearing.
"Gah!" Goku cried out in pain. He staggered out of the destroyed building, glaring at Mamba who was now holding two short scythes in her hands.
"Demon Scythe Rush!" she yelled as she dashed toward him faster than before.
His eyes widened in shock at her speed. He managed to duck at the nick of time as one scythe passed where his head used to be before he jumped backwards to avoid being skewered. He took out his Power Pole and blocked the next attack, thankfully, the Power Pole was strong enough to resist the scythe without taking any damage. Mamba didn't slow down, however, as her hands turned into a blur sending a flurry of slashes that Goku struggled to block with his Power Pole. It became worse for Goku as Mamba's hair joined the fray, growing longer and shapeshifting into drills that she sent it at Goku. Slowly, Goku was being pushed back as slash wounds started appearing on his body as he continued to retreat. The combination of her scythes and hair was proving too difficult to deal with.
Frustrated, Goku twirled his Power Pole, blocking both of her scythes at the same time giving him just a single moment for him to readjust, aiming at Mamba. "Extend!" he yelled as the Power Pole lengthened, striking Mamba square in the face and sending her flying backwards.
"W-What-" Mamba blinked in disbelief at the magical staff, having not expected that.
Goku, however, wasn't going to let her breathe as he launched several blue Ki blasts at her. To his shock, Mamba used her scythe to slice through the blasts. Seeing his shock, the demonic woman laughed at him. "Fufufu. My scythes can cut through anything!"
Undeterred, Goku rushed forward to take the initiative. His hands blurred as he used his Power Pole to attack Mamba with a flurry of jabs and moves that left her on the defence as she struggled to block him now that Goku had the opportunity to strike first with all of his speed. Enraged, Mamba turned her hair into a dozen drills while she attacked at the same time with her scythes, only for her attacks to pass through Goku as if he wasn't there. Dumbfounded, she saw a second Goku to her left and attacked only for her attacks to pass through him too. She wasn't prepared for Goku to come down from above, scoring an axe kick clean on her head before he appeared in front of her, his Power Pole at its shortest length before he thrust forward.
When it was a millimetre away from hitting Mamba's face, Goku yelled. "Extend!" The Power Pole extended, striking her. A sickening crunch was heard, her nose crushed as she was sent flying away.
"Gaah!" Mamba screamed in pain. "My face! You fucker!" she yelled in rage, her eyes narrowing as they started glowing, but Goku didn't give her time to do anything.
A big Ki ball, as big as Goku, gathered on top of his cupped palm before he threw it. The Ki ball moved towards Mamba whose eyes widened in shock and brought her scythes in front of her to block. However, before it hit her, the ball swerved upwards.
She looked confused for a moment before she burst out laughing. "AHAAHAHA! You missed!"
Goku smirked smugly. "Did I?"
He raised his arm in the air, his palm open before he clenched his fist and yelled with all his might. "Gohan da yo!"
The ball of Ki, which was still hovering in the air without her realizing it, suddenly shot numerous Ki blasts from it. A wave of blue Ki blasts poured down on Mamba who tried her best to protect herself with her hair and scythes. However, it proved too much for her as a large explosion engulfed the area as the rest of the blasts hit her at the same time.
When the dust settled, it revealed a heavily injured Mamba. Half of her hair was gone, numerous wounds and burns covered her nearly naked figure and her left hand was just a bloody stump. "You bastard!" she howled in both rage and pain, her eyes were bloody and she could barely see. "I'm going to make you wish you were dead before I kill you then rap-" she didn't get to finish her sentence as a bright blue light caught her attention. She looked down to see Goku, his hands cupped on the side and a ball of brilliant blue Ki was gathered between his hands.
"Shi-"
"KAMEHAMEHA!" Goku shouted as he thrust his hands forward, a massive blue beam of energy shot from them and engulfed Mamba who screamed in pain as the beam vaporised most of her body, and continued on destroying a part of the forest and creating a huge trench in its path.
When the light show ended, only Mamba's legs from the knees down remained from the evil demoness.
Goku sighed in relief, rubbing the sweat off his forehead though he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the fight. It proved more challenging than expected and made his blood boil in excitement.
"Goku!"
He turned around as he heard Krillin yell his name. He saw his friend coming toward him with a smile, behind him were the people of the town wearing expressions of both shock and awe.
"I see you finished on your end too," said Krillin as he looked at the now fallen legs.
"Yeah, you had to fight someone too?"
Krillin nodded. "Yup! Some kind of demon frog or something."
"I got a demon… chick," said Goku choosing to use Krillin's terminology to refer to the attractive demon lady.
"Really? Lucky bastard!" grumbled Krillin before he adopted a smug smirk. "I got a kiss from a cute girl though, I doubt the demon chick kissed you."
Goku chose not to mention what Mamba wanted with him, instead, he asked. "Is a kiss really that great?"
Krillin gestured to a blushing girl standing in the distance with an older woman. "It is if it's from a cute girl like her."
"Really? Don't know. It doesn't sound interesting…"
Krillin looked at him as if he was an idiot before his expression changed and you could see the light bulb lit up. "What if the girl was Bulma or Kefla?"
Now that caught Goku's attention. He didn't understand why Krillin brought them up specifically or why he didn't find the idea uninteresting as before. Blushing slightly, Goku shrugged. "Maybe… dunno." He frowned when he noticed Krillin smirking knowingly at him, somehow it irked him. "What?"
"Nothing~"
Before they could argue longer, someone clearing their throat caught their attention. They turned to see an elderly man had stepped forward from the crowd. Seeing that he had their attention, the man bowed. "Please, let me express my thanks for saving us from those vile demons."
"Hey, it's nothing," Goku waved him off.
"Yeah, we couldn't just ignore it."
The man bowed deeper, followed by the rest. "And you have our deepest gratitude. To think that such powerful and nice kids like you exist in this world."
"As Goku said, it's nothing, but… what exactly is going on here? Where did these demons come from?"
The man sighed, his gaze turned distant for a moment as it was clear he was remembering some tragic memories.
"A few weeks ago, what we could only call a portal opened up in the northern part of the town. From it, these two demons and others poured out and started terrorizing the town; they killed people indiscriminately, and kidnapped men, women and children. It was hell, and we could do nothing to stop it as we were too weak," said the man, clenching his fists so tight that he drew blood.
The man took a deep breath before he continued. "We've learned that they work for a demon lord called Lucifer. The men kidnapped were forced to work in some mine near his castle while the children and the women were…" the man didn't continue, an expression of disgust on his face. It took him a few more moments before he was able to say anything more. "Well, what happened to them was worse than death. These two demons that you defeated, Susha and Mamba, were the worst of the lot."
"I see… Where is that castle though? We saw nothing like that on our way here," said Goku.
"It's complicated… like I've said, there is a portal that the demons came out from. It's like a door leading to another place entirely, and the castle is in there."
Goku looked at Krillin who was doing the same, they shared a nod thinking of the same thing before Goku turned towards the old man. "Old man, take us to this portal so we can find the castle."
The man appeared taken aback by the request. "W-What? But the demons there are even much stronger than the ones you fought, and then there is the demon lord who commands all those monsters!"
Goku shrugged. "So? We can't just let them do whatever they want to you guys. Besides, you only managed to make my blood pump more!"
Krillin sniggered at the disbelief visible on the people's faces. "Goku here loves to fight strong people. Don't worry about us, we're going to kick their asses. After all, we're students of the great Master Roshi, we won't be defeated by mere demons."
The man looked visibly overwhelmed, tears sprung up in his eyes as he bowed deeply to them again. "Thank you, and please excuse my selfishness. To leave it in the hands of two kids… please, if you can, please save our town."
"You got it old man!" exclaimed Goku happily, excited at the prospect of another good fight.
The townspeople afterwards led them to the location of the portal. It was the weirdest thing that Goku ever saw. It was like there was a tear in the very air, the surface of the portal shimmered, reflecting the lights off it. It was big enough for someone like Susha to walk through and had jagged edges but otherwise, it didn't reveal what lay behind it.
"Okay, here goes nothing," said Goku as he stepped through and the world changed.

Omake: West City Annual Snow Festival
"Goku, wake up! Breakfast is ready!"
Goku's eyes opened instantly as soon as Bulma mentioned the word breakfast. He threw the covers away as he looked at the clock near his bed. It was 8:26 a.m.
"Huh, I overslept today," he muttered as he got out of bed and put on his clothes since he preferred to sleep in his underwear, and Bulma's house was really warm yesterday.
Goku exited the room and made his way towards the dining area where Kefla, himself, Bulma and her parents usually ate. He didn't brush his teeth as Bulma told him, after all, what was the point of brushing his teeth when he was going to eat after that anyway?
The walk took a good few minutes since Bulma's house was big, and she forbade running inside the house unless there was an emergency. When he arrived he saw that everyone was already there. Kefla shot him a smug look as she just sat in his usual chair besides Bulma's, leaving the one on Kefla's other side (which was usually Kefla's) for him. Bulma's parents sat facing them on the other side. On the very large table, there was an unholy amount of food, but it wasn't really a strange sight anymore since all three of them; Himself, Kefla and Bulma ate a lot because of being Saiyans.
"Mornin'," he said as he made his way toward his seat, though not before shooting Kefla a glare that just made her smirk harder at him. However, just before he sat, something outside grabbed his attention when his eyes looked through one of the windows.
"Huh?" Confused, he ran towards the outside, ignoring Bulma's 'No running inside the house' rule.
When he opened the door, he was struck by a very cold breeze that made him shiver like crazy.
"What's going on?" he asked, his teeth clunking from a cold he never experienced before as he stared in awe at the sight in front of him.
The ground that still looked green yesterday was covered in the white stuff. It wasn't just the ground, the building, trees and everything was covered in the same white powder. Goku has never seen anything like it before. Sure, it got really cold where he used to live, but it never reached this level. Goku vaguely remembered that he saw that white stuff on the top of very distant and higher mountains from where he lived, but he never paid it any attention.
"Goku, did something happen? Why did you just suddenly run out?" Came Bulma's voice from behind him.
Goku looked back and saw both Bulma and Kefla exiting the house wearing a serious look on their faces, thinking that something was wrong.
"Look, Bulma, everything turned white all of sudden!" he said, pointing at, well, everything.
Both of their faces lost their seriousness as they noticed the scenery. Instead, their faces lit up with brilliant smiles that brought heat to Goku's cheek. Bulma clapped her hands together as she exclaimed. "Ah, snow! It seems that it snowed a lot last night."
"Snow? What's that?" asked Goku.
Bulma looked at him in surprise. "You've never seen snow before, Goku?"
Goku shook his head. "Nope!"
"What about you, Kefla?"
Kefla nodded happily. "I've seen it before in my travels."
"Have you played with it before?" asked Bulma.
This time, Kefla shook her head, looking confusedly at Bulma. "Played with it? No, never."
Bulma grinned before she looked at Goku, a mischievous spark in her eyes. "Why don't you touch it, Goku."
Goku eyed the ground warily before he shrugged and extended his hand to touch it. As soon as his hand touched it, it sank in easily as Goku noted that it was as soft as it looked. It was also so crazy cold that the suddenness of it made Goku bring up his hand instantly, shivering and setting both Kefla and Bulma off as they laughed at his reaction.
"Come," Bulma said between laughs. "Let's get you dressed for the occasion and then I'll show you how to enjoy it properly," she said as she ushered them inside. "We're going to have sooo much fun!"
-]||[-
They finished wearing the clothes that Bulma had picked out for them. Apparently, her mother has anticipated that they didn't have clothes for the winter season in this city, and so had bought them clothes in advance.
Kefla herself was wearing a purple coat with pink gloves while Kakarot wore a dark blue coat and orange gloves. Bulma on the other hand wore a white coat and blue gloves. Kefla has never felt so warm before, but they were still inside the house with active heating in it.
"Ah, you all getting ready for the festival?" Bulma's ever-cheerful mother interrupted them as they were about to head outside.
"Festival?" asked Kefla in confusion.
"Yes! The West City Annual Snow Festival!" Bulma's mother cheerily announced.
"The annual what now?" asked Bulma. "I've never heard of it before."
Bulma's mother chuckled. "Well, we only started it last year, when you weren't around and decided to do it again this year. I'm hoping for it to become a tradition for the city for decades to come!"
"So, what's the festival about?" asked Kefla.
"I'm glad you asked, sweetie!" Bulma's mother smiled brightly, and it was easy to see where the daughter got her beautiful smile from. "There is first a competition where people would make their best sculptures and the winner would get 5,000,000 Ƶ and a month's worth of food!" Then she eyed both Kefla and Kakarot again. "Or two days' worth for the two of you."
At the word competition and food, both she and Kakarot stared at each other determinately. There was one winner, and it'd be one of them for sure.
Bulma's mother continued. "After that, there is a snowball fight battle royal!"
Kefla didn't know what that was, but she liked the sound of it.
"Yes! Snowball fight!" exclaimed Bulma loudly, getting excited herself. "Why is it after the competition though? Can't we have it first?" asked Bulma.
"Well, we figured that people will get competitive after that, and will need to let out some steam after losing. What's better than a snowball fight to fix that? Now, let's get going! Everyone must be getting ready!"
-]||[-
Her mother always came up with eccentric ideas. This was apparently her newest one. Bulma had to admit though that this idea has its merit after seeing the countless people that crowded the Capsule Corps vast grounds to participate in the West City Annual Snow Festival that was taking place at the moment. All around her were people working rigorously on their sculptures; some were working in groups, while others worked alone.
Getting tired from working on her own masterpiece, Bulma took a step back admiring it. Her sculpture showed a beautiful woman like a goddess wearing a chiton and seated on an extravagant throne. On either side of the goddess stood two spikey heard individuals that wore fantastic-looking armour, standing guard around the goddess. Obviously, the goddess was herself, and the guards were Kefla and Goku.
She admired her work with a satisfied smile. "Sometimes, I surprise myself with my never-ending talents."
'Truly, it's really hard being my amazing self.' She thought after another moment of gazing at her art. "Maybe I should go and see how the others are doing."
Deciding on that, she walked through the grounds, checking on the competition. 'Not like anyone is going to win but me.' She thought smugly.
People were working on various sculptures; of scantily clad women in various poses, snowmen, and even those weird-looking things that some people pretend to understand and call it art.
The first familiar face that she saw was her mother's. She was working on a certainly lovely-looking sculpture of Bulma's father and her mother standing happily in front of a decorated wall. Bulma smiled at the obvious love that her parents had for each other. She snickered when a passing couple asked her mother about the age difference between her mother and her father, since her mother looked much younger than her ageing father, and the look of shock when they heard her answer was priceless. It's a shock that Bulma herself didn't get over it completely, and wished that she got her mother's genes to look that good at her age.
That all disappeared when Bulma looked behind the snow wall her mother crafted, only to find several statues of her mother standing behind that wall, looking down with vacant eyes like deactivated robots. Bulma's mind halted, freezing for a long moment as she processed what she had just seen. For the first time in her life, Bulma didn't want to ask a question. She wasn't even interested in knowing what the hell that was supposed to represent. Nope. She saw nothing here. There was nothing weird or sinister here. She saw no one here. Her mother was-
Her mother-
…
'Huh, did my brain freeze from the cold? I must find mom to ask her about where she put my favourite hat!'
She turned around, muttering to herself as she continued on her way. "I wonder where mom is. She organised all of this and yet I can't see her anywhere." One would think that Bulma was merely pretending that she saw nothing. Nope. The trauma that Bulma suffered erased a certain memory from her brain. The wonders of the human brain!
….
The first familiar face that she saw was Kefla. She was working on the face of a giant gorilla? 'Ah, that's an Ōzaru. Kefla's Ōzaru' Bulma realised after she gave it a closer look. It wasn't that well made as Kefla, without being rude, didn't have much of artistic ability, but it was nice enough. Bulma noted that the Kefla's Ōzaru was beating another one that was clearly Goku's Ōzaru form with a smallish Bulma on the side holding a sign saying "Go Kefla! You're the best Saiyan!".
Not very subtle.
"Oh, hey, Kefla! Nice work you've got there!" Bulma cheerily greeted her friend.
Kefla smiled proudly as she went down from the face that she was working on. "Bulma! How do you like my work? I think I've got a clear winner here. Kakarot won't know what hit him."
"It's really nice, Kefla. I guess you were inspired by the end of our journey, huh? What do you call it?"
Kefla beamed, puffing her chest with pride, which certainly didn't draw Bulma's attention to certain prize winners there, as she grandiosely gestured to her work. "I call it 'Jerry the worm king watching a sunflower seed.'! Pretty neat, huh?"
Bulma blinked once, twice. She looked from Kefla to the sculpture, and back to Kefla again. "Who the hell is Jerry the worm king, and where is he?"
Kefla looked at Bulma weirdly, before she gestured to a tiny speck about a meter from the two fighting monkeys. Bulma squinted, but she saw nothing. She pulled out a magnifying glass and looked again and… there! The tiny speck was actually a very, very small worm with a crown on its head and in front of it was a sunflower seed indeed!
"Umm… Kefla… Are you sure this is what your work is about?" Bulma said through gritted teeth.
Kefla cutely tilted her head to the side. "Of course, what else would it be about?"
Bulma finally lost it, her eyes narrowing and teeth growing sharp as she yelled. "Oh, I don't know… MAYBE IT'S THE GIANT MONKEYS FIGHTING WITH A CHEERLEADER WATCHING THEM?!"
Kefla palmed her fist as if she just got it. "Oh, that!... That's just some background to liven it up!" she said it giving Bulma a look that screamed 'Are you stupid?'
…
….
Bulma for the first time in her life had no idea what to say.
"Hey," said Kefla, bringing Bulma out of her frozen state. "You're checking the competition, right? I'm about finished here, so let's go check on the others!" she didn't wait for Bulma to answer as she grabbed her hand and dragged her in a random direction.
-]||[-
Their first interesting encounter after a few minutes of walking was when they found a silver-haired man with a natural perm and dead fish eyes working with a little girl on… two balls. Bulma's first thought was they were preparing them to make another snowman, but she was proven wrong when the girl went away, and came back with a massive… pole with an interesting shape and put it in between the two balls.
Bulma had seen enough, putting her hands on Kefla's eyes, she shouted at the man. "Hey, you pervert! What the hell are you doing creating that? And how could you make a little girl participate in it and carry that thing you disgusting pig!"
The man simply gave her an unimpressed stare. "Huh? What, what? The hell are you talking about," he said with his monotone voice, sparking Bulma's anger. "You're telling me that you don't recognise it? For real? What's with people these days and their lack of knowledge… what a pain."
Meanwhile, the little girl was showing the left ball great care as she worked on it with passion.
"It's because I recognise it that I'm asking you how could you do such a low thing!? Do you want the mods to take down this fic!?"
"Huh," the lazy asshole put his finger in her ear as he looked at her in confusion for a moment. "Ah," he said, palming his fist, and Bulma suddenly had a déjà vu. "You're talking about that! Seriously, what a dirty minded girl… People these days see a pole and two balls and they immediately jump to that."
The little girl gave Bulma a glare. "Can you please stop talking to us? Tae-chan warned me against talking with perverts -aru."
The man continued, cutting Bulma before she even replied to the girl. "This is obviously the 'Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon', have you never heard of it?"
Bulma wasn't having it at all. "THERE IS NO WAY SUCH A THING COULD EXIST!"
At that point, however, Kefla gasped, taking Bulma's hand off her eyes as she stared starry-eyed at the… thing. "No way! Did you say the 'Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon'?" she went around it, giving it a look from every direction. "Wow! It really is! It has a high-quality finish."
Bulma looked at her irridiculously. "YOU MEAN SUCH A THING REALLY EXISTS!? Am I the only one that doesn't know about it?"
The man decided to be helpful as he explained a bit. "It's the ultimate weapon used by the Tserzans against the Saiyans to smash their forces and open a way for the Saiyans' original planet."
"THE SAIYANS WERE DEFEATED BY THAT! DID I JOIN A RACE THAT WAS DONE IN BY A STUPID-LOOKING CANNON?"
Kefla nodded, her hand on her chin. "Every Saiyan child learns about this! It's a humbling part of our great history, and a warning for us to beware of Johnsons and their jewels."
"No, I think they were warning you of a very different, but a similar-looking object," said Bulma, but she was ignored as more people admired the famous weapon.
Even her father was there, looking at the thing intently as he asked the man various questions about the cannon and how it was used, seemingly interested in replicating it.
Bulma had enough, she grabbed Kefla by the hand, dragging her as she stomped away.
-]||[-
"Hey, you guys are participating too?" a voice brought Bulma out of her angry trance. She looked around and saw Krillin waving his hand for them.
"Hey, Krillin!" said Kefla happily upon seeing their friend.
"Yo, Kefla, Bulma!"
"Krillin, what are you doing here?" asked Bulma as she knew that he was supposed to be with Master Roshi on his island, not that she wasn't happy with seeing her friend.
"What do you mean? Of course, I'm here for the traditional West City Annual Snow Festival!" said Krillin as a matter of fact.
"TRADITIONAL!? BUT IT ONLY STARTED LAST YEAR!"
However, she was ignored as Kefla asked Krillin to show them his work. Bulma pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a headache growing.
Krillin took them to show them his work as Kefla requested, and Bulma has to admit that it looked beautiful. Krillin has made statues of herself, Kefla, Goku and Master Roshi sitting with smiles on their faces as they looked up to the sky. A replication of what happened at the end of the festival that they went to just before the tournament when they sat watching fireworks. Krillin showed his talent with how life-like the statues were as if they were actually them and not something made of snow.
"Wow, this is really amazing, Krillin," said Bulma sincerely.
"Yup, it looks great," agreed Kefla.
Krillin laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as he blushed slightly. "Thanks, guys. I call it 'Firework gazing with the family'! Since you guys are like that to me."
Bulma felt touched hearing that, knowing that Krillin grew up in a temple with no family and no friends. "That's really nice, Krillin," she cooed.
Kefla, on the other hand, clicked her tongue, muttering under her breath. "Bastard, now I'd feel bad if I destroyed it."
"What?" asked Bulma in a ridiculed tone.
"Huh?" Krillin was clearly taken aback.
Kefla looked at them with a too innocent expression. "I said nothing."
Krillin tried to argue. "But I've heard-"
He was cut off by a glare from Kefla. "I've said nothing."
Krillin gulped nervously. "Yes, ma'am."
There was an awkward silence for a moment before Bulma coughed into her hand. "I-I assume since you're here, then the old man is also here?"
Krillin nodded. "Yes, he's here somewhere."
"Let's go find him," she said as they all moved.
As they searched for the old pervert, they saw several people that they'd met on their journey so far:
A humanoid blue cat/bat thingy was working on a statue of a man with long shaggy hair and a scar. Bulma felt the man was familiar in the back of her head, but she simply shrugged. 'I'd have remembered him if he was important.'
Nam was there too. He was working on a statue of himself bowing alongside others who looked and dressed like him to the statue of… Bulma seated in Lotus position with a palm up and the other palm holding a water jug… Bulma felt both flattered and uncomfortable, so they just moved on before he saw them.
The last one they saw before the pervert was a familiar girl in a bikini armour in the middle of fucking winter ('What was her name? Cha-Cha?' thought Bulma) working on a statue of Goku giving her look-alike a bridal carry. They paused at that for a moment, before Kefla, and without a word teleported behind the girl, giving her a chop to the back of her neck, knocking her unconscious before blasting the statue with her Ki leaving nothing of it. Kefla then took the girl to a staff member, telling him that the girl was sickly and fell unconscious on her own before telling him to deliver her back to her home, giving him the address of FryPan Mountain.
Krillin was about to say something when Kefla came back, but she simply said. "You saw nothing," with the same tone from before, shutting him up.
Finally, they found the pervert after a few more minutes of walking after that incident.
"Yo, Master Roshi!" Krillin greeted the old man.
Bulma and Kefla, however, were busy staring at what was behind the pervert; a statue of Master Roshi relaxing on a chair with several naked women in very suggestive poses was there. A deadly purple and red aura enveloped the girls.
"Krillin? Oh, and Bulma and Kefla? Fancy meeting you here! What do you think-"
He was cut off as Bulma and Kefla, without saying a word, raised their hands and blasted his work to pieces.
The old man fell to the ground in despair. "Why did you do that!?"
Bulma and Kefla gave him an ice-cold look. "Just taking out the trash," they said together, their words arrows piercing through the old master.
"L-let's go and find Goku," suggested a nervous Krillin.
-]||[-
"Oh, hey guys! Hey, Master Roshi! Krillin!" said Goku as soon as they found him. He high-fived Krillin and got a hair ruffle from Master Roshi.
"You only just started Goku?" asked Bulma as she looked behind Goku to where his work was supposed to be.
Goku gave her a strange look. "What? I've actually just finished," he said.
Bulma looked at the giant… blob? Behind Goku. She wasn't sure what it was, but certainly, it wasn't a ball.
"What's finished?" she asked, blinking and wondering what exactly she was looking at. 'Your hopes of artistic careers?' She added in her mind.
"Wow, Goku," said Krillin, gazing at the… thing in awe. Bulma felt a headache coming. "Is that what I think it is? Is this really the explosion that occurred when the meteor hit the planet and wiped out most of the dinosaurs?"
"Yup," Goku nodded proudly.
Bulma blinked.
"I have to say, Goku," said Roshi as he caressed his beard. "I've never seen the fight between the Dark King Vearn and the hero Juce Lee portrayed so realistically before! Truly a work of art."
Bulma blinked again.
"That's not even the same thing as Krillin, and who the hell is Juce Lee!" Which was ignored.
"Yup," said Goku, puffing his chest proudly. "Grandpa Gohan told me a lot about it, and I tried my best to keep it true to the source. I've done my best to portray the race and the details on Retsu' and Go's cars, especially the Lightning Magnum!"
"YOU'RE NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT THE SAME THING!" Again, Bulma was ignored.
She saw Kefla fall to her knees in despair. "I-I was defeated! I could never hope to win against this! Is this the result of some secret training?"
'Seriously? Am I the only one not seeing it? What the hell is happening today!?' Thought Bulma furiously as a group of finely dressed people led by a man in glasses came.
"Oh, what do we have here?" one of them said before they started looking at Goku's… thing, whispering and taking notes.
After a few moments of that, the glasses-wearing one coughed, before he looked at Goku. "Young man, I have to say, in all my years, I've never seen such a thing like this…" 'Obviously,' thought Bulma. "You clearly have an amazing talent! I think we have a clear winner here! This piece of amazing modern art is the best thing I've seen in my life."
'Wait… WHAT!?'
Bulma could only look in disbelief as they announced Goku as the winner and everyone started clapping.
'I fucking hate modern art.'
-]||[-
Goku was awarded the winner of the competition and got his award on stage while being applauded by everyone as Bulma stared in disbelief at all of this.
And now.
The time for the snowball fight was finally here. Bulma understood her mother's reason for making it after the competition because she honestly was feeling really, really pissed and needed some outlet to let loose.
They've been divided into two teams, with Kefla and Goku ending up on her own team. Part of her was relieved as even with their inexperience, they were the strongest around, and part of her was pissed since she wanted to let loose against them.
"Start!"
'Oh, well, I can just let loose against the others and show them how great I-'
Bulma couldn't finish her sentence as she was struck in the face by a snowball.
"Ahaha! I got ya!" she heard Krillin make fun of her, and a vein burst in her forehead.
"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, YOU FUCKER!" She yelled, grabbing a large snowball before she threw it with all her might at Krillin who was busy celebrating nailing her in the face. The massive ball hit him, and rocketed him a hundred meters to the back, before crashing with him into a wall, knocking him out.
Krillin owned count: 254.
Suddenly she heard a yell near her, making her dodge, avoiding two snowballs thrown at her.
"AGGHH! I hate winter! Where is summer? I want hot girls in bikinis, not wearing winter clothes! Take this and that!" Master Roshi apparently lost it, venting his frustration at the lack of skin as he threw around his snowballs indiscriminately at everyone in sight.
Of course, his words invited the ire of every woman and girl around him, and soon he was knocked out by a thousand snowballs, infused by the aura of their righteous anger, hitting him at the same time.
With the pervert out of the way, everyone went back to the match. Bulma jumped, ducked and dodged while throwing around snowballs. Bulma laughed as she felt her anger seep away. The cold wind on her cheek, her blood pumping in her veins, nailing people with her snowball or getting hit herself. All of it felt amazing as Bulma had the time of her life.
Nothing was going to ruin it!
Then, Nam appeared out of nowhere. He was about to throw a ball at her before he froze upon seeing her. Then, he was on his knees. "I almost threw a ball at you! Please forgive me, O-Gre-" he was cut off as a massive snowball hit him at a breakneck speed sending him flying away.
"Got you!" screamed Kefla happily as she landed near Bulma.
"Hey! He was mine!" Complained Goku as he landed on the other side.
They glared at each other before Kefla threw a snowball at Goku who dodged. He threw his own, but it was dodged by Kefla who tried to kick him, but he ducked under her leg, though that was a distraction as a snowball nailed him in the face.
"HA!" Kefla yelled in triumph.
"I'm gonna get you!"
Bulma bonked both of them on the head. "Stop it, you two! You guys are on the same team!"
They looked at her in disbelief before they glared at each other. "As if! I'm the one who is going to win this fight!" they screamed at the same time before hitting Bulma's face with two snowballs.
'Fuck this.'
Mount Bulma erupted. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU, BASTARDS!" She said as she started throwing snowballs, not caring who was who.
"ORYAA!"
A sound from behind her alerted her as she dodge a continuous fire of snowballs that was coming from… the little girl from earlier who was holding…
'Is that an Umbrella?'
"I'm going to show you who's the queen of West City -aru!" The girl announced.
Which neither Kefla nor Bulma took well. "Like hell you are!" they screamed and launched a coordinated attack at the girl. However, Kefla's attention was grabbed when she was hit by a snowball from Goku.
"Got you!"
"God damn it, Kakarot!"
And she went after him.
Being a Saiyan, Bulma had no trouble dodging the girl's snow bullets, but she found herself at a disadvantage when the silver-haired man joined the girl, throwing massive balls at her.
Seeing the massive advantage over everyone there that the four of them had, the rest decided to group up and gang on them. The result was pure chaos as snowballs of various sizes and speeds were thrown away in every direction.
Suddenly, Bulma heard screams in the distance as people started running their way. She looked, expecting some great evil, only to see her mother standing beside a machine that was producing snowballs at a very, very alarming rate while her mother threw them at light speed… her mother was like a machine gun firing at an insane rate, and every snowball was like a big explosion. One hit, 10 people down.
She looked to Goku and Kefla for help, only to see Goku on the ground, holding his hands beside his body, while Kefla flew in the air and in her hands were two rotating spheres.
"Kameha-"
"Magnetic-"
Ah… shit.
"MEHA!"
"BOMB!"
-]||[-
"Huh? Where am I?"
Bulma asked as she opened her eyes slowly. She felt that she was lying in a very comfortable bed. It was so soft and fluffy…
"AND SO FUCKING COLD!" She yelled as she jumped up. "Ah, I was sleeping in the snow, that explains it!"
"Wait, why am I here in the first place?"
Then she remembered.
The competition. The snow fight and what happened at the end. She looked around her, her eyes widening at the scene.
Everything was covered in white as if a great avalanche happened, covering the whole city. People were lying in the snow all around her, unconscious. Everything was destroyed, especially the sculptures that everyone worked so hard on.
…
Everything but the damn thing that Goku made. It was standing in the middle of the chaos as if mocking her.
Tired, and completely spent. Bulma gazed silently at the thing, before she raised her hand, blasted it with Ki then fell to the ground again. Unconscious.

AN:
Well, it's been a while. Things are better now than a few months ago. I had a lot of shit going on with this my life and needed to re-plan a lot of shit for this arc. Ah, well.
This chapter picks up after the last one with the aftermath of the tournament. Kefla having her doubts after winning the tournament in an unconvincing way (at least in her opinion), and Goku helps her with that.
After that was Bulma's birthday and Goku's small quest to find a suitable present for her while being broke. After that, the gang split, each going on their own way at least for a while.
Then we have the start of the next saga, which is the Red Ribbon Army Saga, though it starts with a small arc dealing with demons and the demon realm. All I'll say that the RR saga won't be exactly the same as canon, and you'll see several twists
For those wondering, none of these characters are OCs, but characters from movies such as "Curse of the Blood Rubies", "Sleeping Princess in Devil's castle" and "GT: A Hero's Legacy".
One of the things that I'll be doing in this fic is using characters from movies, games, filler and even the DB Heroes but with my own twist on their characters and powers. I also may use concepts and ideas in my own way.
Now for the Omake.
Back around Christmas, I had a few days of free time so I thought I might write a Christmas special for you guys. This Omake is part 1 of that special, but I couldn't finish the second part in time so I didn't post anything. I feared that this chapter might turn out to be a short one, so I decided and go ahead and include it. The chapter wasn't short, but eh, I already added it.
For those who know Gintama, the Omake is inspired by an episode from it, and Gintoki and Kagura even make an appearance here.
Anyway, next chapter will continue where this one left with Goku and Krillin going into the Demon Realm with Kefla possibly making an appearance at the end.
Anyway, thanks for reading, please review, follow and favourite!
