Here's a list of AU's that were made with the help of my readers while playing the 5 Headcanons Game. The rules are that readers can pitch an idea for an AU and I come up with five ideas on how it would play out.

Most likely you guys knew that already, but I figure it's good to review it. For those that pitched ideas, thank you for your help, and the game is always open until said otherwise. I hope you enjoy the list so far! AU listed with the person who asked about it.

Here we go…

Bastard AU: Kriber

1. The story is the same for the most part, but our resident favorite bastard (heh) Eddy has been able to use magic since the beginning! Eddy has been keeping it tight lipped, but Ed and Double D knew, and is mostly the result of his parents either getting a surrogate or accidentally having a one night stand with a Legend. Other than the real reasons, he's actually trying to figure out where he got his magic from and figure out who his gene donor is.

2. They don't get detected by humans or anybody else until they leave and eventually start doing scams on their trip. Bloodgood gets tipped off to them not only through that, but wondering why a wandering sorcerer and two humans are homeless and alone. The only reason she doesn't freak out is because she's seeing so much opportunity in the possibility, she has to snatch them up for her plan.

3. Eddy finally gets some answers on what he is and what he can do, though it comes with a price. Good news, he can match up what kind of magic he has and who he might be related too! Bad news, it might actually be Raven's mom! Which opens a whole can of worms that he doesn't want to deal with.

4. He and the other Ed's waffle on whether they should tell her or not since they don't even know why it happened in the first place, their own secrets getting in the way, and whether Eddy is okay with owning the fact he's related to a modern magical war criminal. None of the other girls fully know, but they definitely know something is up.

5. Eddy actually does man up eventually and tells Raven they need to talk and that it's important. It would've been great, but unfortunately, life has other plans when the secret comes screaming out when a science class they share does a genetics subject and they get revealed through a DNA test. Oops!

Childhood Friends AU: Socram12

1. The basic premise is what it says on the tin; instead of just the Ed's growing up together, the girls actually grow up with them temporarily too. For whatever reasons, most likely related to the Masquerade, some of the families end up in Peach Creek, resulting in everyone meeting each other.

2. Predictably, the cliques from canon form and they hang out quite a bit. It's all cute and stuff, even if the rest of the Peach Creek kids are mystified why. They join in on some of the scams, even Apple doing one or two, though not a lot. Some interesting facts include Clawdeen making the costumes for some, Cerise almost having her cover blown when Double D finds her dad, and Eddy being the one actively corrupting Apple whenever he can. Some personalities are definitely changed from canon.

3. The incident that causes the girls to leave is ugly, mostly related to the Big Picture Show. At least one of the girls told everything that happened to their parents and it ended up getting investigated, resulting in more scrutinizing of the Ed's parents. It eventually gets too big and the parents not only drop it, but also have to leave to make sure they don't get looked at too closely either. Contact is cut off to prevent everything, and everyone is miserable for a long time, setting up some drama for the latter part.

4. When the Ed's ultimately leave Peach Creek and end up in Bookend and New Salem, it's just hilarious chaos all around. Apple nearly has a panic attack when she recognizes them, Cleo has a heart attack when she hears her nickname slip through Eddy's mouth, and Bloodgood just mourns the plan as it immediately fails. When things calm down, the girls are now in on it from the beginning whether they like it or not.

5. Plenty of the story changes, but there are a lot of similarities. The secret is completely out and the girls definitely know the boys left for a reason, but ultimately have a hard time getting it out of them. The new focus will be on actually keeping it from everyone else, especially from the girls families who have met them before. Plenty of humor is there, though, since all of them have in jokes and the idea that some of them are even friends that grew up together is hilarious, especially with polar opposites like Apple and Eddy. It would depend on what's going on at the time.

Reversal AU: QueenBufo

1. The reasons why the Ed's left in this universe are wildly different in comparison to canon, and is mostly connected to their nature and society in that universe. Ed wanted to leave since, as an Urban Legend type of Monster who needs to be recognized and have stories based around him, he can't stay in hiding as much. Double D, as a demon, has a role in both Legend and Monster society as a trickster and soul stealer, but he doesn't want to be that way and would prefer to study human science. Eddy's is the most understandable. As the Pauper, he isn't allowed to even move up one tax bracket and is forced into perpetual poverty because of it.

2. The inciting incident in this AU is that the Ed's, who did do scams in the past to get some spending money, actually did something legitimate and successful. By all accounts, it should've worked and Eddy would be good on cash for the rest of his life. Then somebody (Evan, the Prince) rats them out and ends up ruining it in a brutal fashion. Predictably, Eddy is beyond angry about it and decides to abandon Legend and Monster society completely.

3. Meanwhile, the girls problems would be more rooted in reality. Apple and Cleo still have to deal with overbearing families, Raven's mom is a known (figurative) monster and criminal, Clawdeen's family isn't in the best shape financially, Ghoulia has disabilities similar to her canon situation, Cerise can't be open about her family, and Maddie is generally considered crazy and is avoided. The Ed's coming in with their weird stuff somewhat exacerbates things.

4. The story is significantly different, but there is a lot of mirroring involved. Like how Double D is found out by a different member of his own clique and investigated by another, Eddy has a slightly different relationship with some of the girls, and Ed might be the one getting a crush on Ghoulia. It's a mess, but it's all filled with parallels that would make their canon counterparts go insane.

5. Of course, the main driving force is that someone (primarily Eddy) isn't playing their role anymore, which is unacceptable. Some familiar faces are soon joining the show, and just might cause trouble along the way for the poor group.

Cursed AU: Selkierai

1. The story starts mostly the same, with the Ed's on the run and doing their best to survive. Either by scamming on the wrong person or ending up with in one of the Evil Queens dumping sites for cursed artifacts. Almost like a Beauty in the Beast Curse kind of way, it turns out it could be reversed if they dealt with their problems, which they predictably don't get at first since they're new to magic and are definitely not going to do that.

2. Bloodgood had to track them down by the trail of chaos they left behind and ended up realizing the problem, or at least knows somethings up. When she brings them in, she stipulates that they need to figure out what they need to fix in their problems in order to stop the curse from taking them over completely... which doesn't work because they're stubborn.

3. Things go mostly the same, though the girls are ironically tipped off that things aren't right simply because of the all the incidents that follow. They do kind get it right that the Ed's weren't supernatural at first, but certainly are now and are trying to get them used to their new abilities. It's a general mess when they actually start to learn more about the situation.

4. The whole thing with the curse comes to a head when it ends up being revealed that the curse ends up getting worse due to stress, which makes the Heritage Hall incident so much worse. The Ed's are doing their best to pretend that everything is fine, the girls are trying to make sure it doesn't get any worse, and Bloodgood has to scramble on what she could do next since her research into the curse has gotten very few results. It doesn't help that the Ed's might not want to fix it since it might be just easier to become supernatural and forget their past.

5. As for what specifically they could be being cursed into, it's hard to say. I can imagine that, if it involved feathers for Double D, he might look like an angel or have wings of some kind. Probably to reflect how he had to be a perfect angel for his parents, despite them never being there. Ed might be going through some kind of Hulk-like situation where his anger gets out of control, turning him into something big and terrifying, like how he imagined his mother would be. Eddy probably is some form of elemental or magical being of power, which would be great if it didn't have such backlash, reflecting his own need for power that becomes very self destructive when he goes too far.

Think Tank AU: Socram12

1. This AU is probably the closest to Monster High canon, with separate schools and high racial tensions. Monster High, Ever After High, and a local human school get involved in a program involving some of their students into a joint-project. It was arranged by Bloodgood as an attempt to breach the divide.

2. Predictably, the girls and the Ed's are brought in. The Ed's hadn't even meant to, just wanting to lay low and sneak a degree out by testing out of school. But of course, they're forced in due to an incident, the Legends are brought in to settle Royal/Rebel incidents, and Monster High as a show of their schools motto. It's a mess since they're basically the Breakfast Club, but forced to meet weekly.

3. Things change when they actually do come up with a project, and it ends up being much more complicated then previously thought. The discovery of cursed items being possibly used for renewable energy is a big jump, and it doesn't take much for them realize this. They instantly get to work trying to make it a revelutionary invention, both out of greed and genuine want of progress.

4. They do divide into various roles and sometimes switch, but the general idea is this; The Ed's, Raven and Ghoulia do most of the research and development. Cerise, Clawdeen and Maddie are advertising. Cleo and Apple are the ones getting all of the connections. It's a fine oiled machine and it'll revolutionize things... well, if they can get it off the ground.

5. The main thing standing in their way is anyone that benefits too much off the status quo. Certain magic sects don't want it that way since it cheapens the abilities of magic, especially if Eddy decides to commercialize the suit. Hate groups will not want it to work since it might bridge too many divides. And anyone involved with the energy industry would hate the thought of clean energy. Of course, they're willing to go nuts to make their invention works.

DnD AU: Kriber

1. The Ed's go from light isekai to full on isekai when, while on the run, they end up in a world that matches what you would expect. They would be happy about it, but they're realistic about the fact that they're strangers in a strange land.

2. The main goal is to either go back to Earth or at least build a life for themselves so they'll do more than survive. They'd really prefer the first, but considering they do have technological knowledge with proper mechanical know-how, they at least have a back-up plan that'll keep them comfortable.

3. Getting into an adventuring due to the money and wanting to hunt down possible leads, they meet their party members; Apple, a noble princess who wants real world experience; Raven, a sorceress that wants to make up for her mother's atrocities; Cerise, a girl running away from home after a secret of hers gets let out; Maddie, someone who seems more aware of the world despite being known to be from a different one; Cleo, an ex-noble who's learning how to survive in a world that's changed so much; Clawdeen, who's trying to support her family and her own dreams; and Ghoulia, an undead that gets drawn into the science (and chaos) out of pure curiosity.

4. Classes for everyone of them will stick close to the plan, with each one having a base. Ed = Barbarian, Double D = Artificer, Eddy = Bard, Cleo = Warlock, Clawdeen = Fighter, Ghoulia = Wizard, Apple = Cleric, Raven = Sorcerer, Cerise = Druid, and Maddie = Monk. There is a ton of multiclassing, though, to make things have make more sense, with the Ed's doing it the most (plenty of bard and artificer in there.

5. As for races, it's absolutely hard to say. I have to look more into that, though in the base version, the Ed's are human, the Legends are Elves, and the Monsters are much more unclear. It'd be a lot more complex if I actually did more research.
