Marina and The Diamonds
Bonnie came to at the feel of a cold wet napkin against her lower region. The first thing she noticed was a mop of black hair hovering above her and then a strong pale hand rubbing gently on her thigh. Next, she realized she was laid out on the chaise lounge instead of the loveseat that they had made lo–well, had sex in.
Dirty, hot, passionate sex.
Bonnie gasped as the napkin brushed against an exceptionally sensitive part of her which caused the mop of raven hair to tilt up and Damon's surprised face to be presented to her.
"Hey, there."
"Hey," Bonnie replied, awkwardly after realizing that she had passed out in the middle of sex. Who did that?
"I didn't want you to feel sticky when you woke up, sorry if I crossed any lines."
"N-No, it's okay." Bonnie smiled at the nervous look on his face that made him look even younger.
With a bashful bow of his head, he finished up. Bonnie tried not to make too much noise as he did so. His expression was serious and his touch was damn near clinical, she didn't want to start moaning like a cat in heat over him trying to be nice.
The cold napkin brushed over her clit and Bonnie couldn't hold back her whimper.
"Fuck," Damon cursed, his hand flexing on her thigh but not hurting her. "I'm so sorry Bonnie. I shouldn't have been so rough with you."
"W-What do you mean, I'm fine." She panted, trying not to get aroused by him touching her when he was having a serious self-deprecating moment.
"You don't have to lie to me, I can tell that you're in pain," Damon whispered, his eyes shadowed.
"I'm not, I promise."
"Bonnie," Damon stared at her, "you're all red, possibly even swollen. I thought I prepped you well enough but I guess it's been too long since the last time for you. I should have known that though. Fuck, please baby, tell me you don't hate me."
Bonnie blinked at him, still trying to wrap her mind around not getting inappropriately aroused and now having to process that he thought she would hate him. She honestly didn't feel any pain, if anything she felt residual pleasure…tuning in deeper to her body she thought about it. Well, maybe she did feel a little tender, and she wasn't sure she could handle them having a second round so soon, but it was somewhat of a pleasurable pain.
Knowing she couldn't tell him that her tenderness felt a little good unless she wanted to be embarrassed and reminded of what that could mean about herself, Bonnie settled for something else. "Damon, I promise you, I'm fine. Remember? I'm a big girl, I can handle myself." Bonnie smirked.
Blue eyes softened as he gazed into her own. Seemingly finished, he balled up the napkin before placing it down and gently closing her legs. With a pat on her thigh, he sighed and shifted to sit more comfortably beside her.
"Alright, if you say so, Ms. Bennett." He gave her his most heart-attack-inducing smile, "Next time I promise I'll try to be more gentle."
Bonnie startled.
Next time.
"R-right." She bit her lip.
Looking underneath her lashes, Bonnie noticed his eyes following the motion of her mouth. When she released the pinched flesh between her teeth, she watched in fascination as his eyes dilated. She had an idea of what he was thinking as the heat between them grew and his body moved closer. The memory of his heady taste and the surprising softness of his lips flashed through her mind making her heart speed. She didn't realize how consuming kissing could be until she'd done it with him.
Damon licked his own lips, eyes never shifting from her mouth, "Bonnie…"
The girl gasped at the deep and hoarse way he'd said her name. The dry sound brought her attention to her own parched throat.
Within seconds the door to the room struggled open and Bonnie straightened up in her seat, making sure all of her bits were properly covered up by her clothes. Blinking away the previously heated moment, Bonnie regained her wits as green eyes looked around the area hoping that her ruined underwear wasn't still lying on the ground or that there weren't questionable substances still dripping from the love seat. Luckily, Damon seemed to have righted everything in the room and made sure it looked normal.
Not that it mattered, a very drunk and happy-go-lucky Elena and Stefan stepped into the room unaware of anything around them.
"There you guys are! You were right Stefan they were up here!" A proficiently soused Elena giggled as she leaned into her stumbling boyfriend. Neither one of them were in their right mind to notice something amiss.
"Yep, told you," Stefan smirked in a way to was too Damon-like to be comfortable. The sight definitely made it more than abundantly clear that she should have realized they were brothers long ago. Despite his drunkenness competing with his girlfriend's, he kept some of the grace in his steps as he walked with her tucked under his shoulder into the room.
Making it halfway, he gave a cursory sniff, his eyes glazed and red-tinged from drink. "Why does it smell like sex in here?"
Bonnie's eyes bugged, maybe he wasn't as drunk as she thought.
"Ooh, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Elena asked, walking her fingers up Stefan's shirt and giving him a heated look.
"Mmm, if it's what I'm thinking then we're going to have an amazing night." Stefan dived down as Elena leaned up and they were going into full-on makeout mode. Lips smacking, tongues wagging, and everything. The kiss was definitely in porno-territory in ways that made Bonnie's stomach turn and wish she could bleach her eyes. Obviously, the two were so lost in each other and from intoxication that they had no thought to hold back regardless of Bonnie and Damon's presence.
Just as Stefan's hands were squeezing Elena's ass and Elena was ripping buttons from his shirt, Damon finally got over his shock to stop the pair.
Standing up, the dark-haired man held out his hands, "Hey, hey hold up! I didn't pay for a live viewing of Cinemax." He yelled.
Bonnie was still shell shocked in her seat, mouth agape and eyes wide as she continued to thoughtlessly hold down the torn skirt of her dress covering her thighs.
The couple continued to make out as if the other pair weren't in the room. Damon huffed, making a gesture that showed he wasn't against physically pulling them away from each other when thankfully, Caroline and Tyler stumbled into the room.
"Found them!" Caroline shouted needlessly to an exhausted-looking Tyler who sidled up behind her.
At the sound of her voice, Elena and Stefan finally pulled up from drowning in each other by way of mouth to mouth.
"Caroline!" Elena beamed, jumping away from a smirking Stefan to hug Caroline.
"Awe you're so cute, we just saw you like five minutes ago," Caroline cooed, absently rubbing the girl's back.
Tyler sighed, directing his gaze at Bonnie and Damon, "Sorry, we tried to keep them contained on the dance floor but they kept causing trouble. Either Stefan was threatening to fight random guys from breathing near Elena or Elena was attempting to hop on bars and tabletops to dance. With their drastic personality shifts, we thought it would be better if they stayed in here, but then they ran off before we could take them."
Damon for his part had gone from listening incredulously at what Tyler was saying to rubbing his hand on his face and shaking his head, his expression a mix between disbelief and amusement.
Bonnie on the other hand realized if she wasn't sober before, she was definitely sober now at the sight of Elena trying to twerk unsuccessfully on Caroline who was trying with all her might to get the girl to stop and stand up straight.
"Awe, lighten up. It's usually Elena and I taking care of you jackasses anyway when you get drunk." The youngest Salvatore opened his mouth, directing his attention to the bulky poli-sci major, "Remember that time you got put in a cop car and sent to jail because you fought a guy who pushed into you and made you spill your drink on Caroline? That amazing fight turned into a bar brawl and got half of the bar arrested including you." Stefan snorted at Tyler's clenched jaw and squared stance. "I had to go bail you out at like three in the morning and Elena had to beg them not to call your parents after they found out you were the mayor's son." Stefan directed his attention to the suddenly nervous blonde next to Tyler, it was obvious that he was out for blood and that no one was safe, "Ooh, or the time Caroline started streaking and then did half-naked backflips in the backyard of that one frat house party only to turn around and barf on Elena when she tried to help her get her clothes back on. Elena wouldn't let me hear the end of it for a whole semester!"
Bonnie had to look away from Caroline's reddened face remembering that night. Elena had been pissed and rightfully so, she and Stefan had had a small break-up that Elena had caused due to her insecurities after finding out about the whole Katherine thing. They hadn't talked for a week but found out that Stefan would be at the party and, realizing she'd made a mistake and wanting to get back into his good graces, Elena showed up in her most devastating party dress and her most expensive fuck-me heels. Instead of making up with Stefan, she ended up taking care of Caroline and then getting barfed on, thus ruining the night. Thankfully, she and Stefan still made up, but she knew Elena wasn't pleased by the circumstances they did so in. The brunette didn't talk to the blonde for a straight week afterward no matter what Caroline did to try to make it up to her.
"Seeing as yall aren't a perfect picture of social decorum, I believe you can let us live a little, right?" Stefan finished. During his spiel, he had moved to the bar and was steadily pouring himself another drink making his intent for the censorious rant obvious.
"Thanks, brother for that provoking argument," Before he could bring his lips to the tumbler, Damon was already there taking it out of his hands and tossing most of it back himself. "As for the verdict, the jury is out but they will convene and reach it in due time, meanwhile, I think you've had enough."
Stefan rolled his eyes, angry but realizing he was too sloshed and uncoordinated at the moment to really fight his brother.
He could use his words though. "Oh, don't even get me started with you Damon. You may be able to hold your liquor brother, but you're even more of a bastard when you've drunk enough. Remember spring break, two years back? The bungalow in the Maldives with a certain cute redhead?" Stefan widened his red-tinged, sea-green eyes, "Who had to clean that up so you didn't get killed brother?" Damon had gotten in a bit of a mess with a neighboring group of girls in the beach house next to them. While seducing the redhead, he had gotten drunk one night and had something like an orgy with her friends. The redhead walked in on it and Damon damn near didn't come out alive. He had no idea that the girl was a psycho. However, in retrospect, it shouldn't have been that surprising considering his history with romance. Hopefully, his future with Bonnie didn't fall into the same pattern. Luckily, Stefan had come back after being out all day and helped his brother in the midst of the girl holding a knife to him while her half-naked girlfriends screamed in the corner. It was a night that Damon learned a huge lesson and chilled on out his previous player-ish ways, focusing on his business instead.
Damon sneered but tilted his head at his brother's reasoning likening it to be fair enough. He handed the rest of his glass back to Stefan who grinned smugly. "You're having fun shoving people down memory lane tonight, huh brother? Don't say I didn't warn you Stef. After this when your head's in the toilet bowl, don't ask me to hold back your beautiful locks."
Stefan snorted before gulping down the rest of the brown liquor, unaware of the dribbles that he missed which dripped down to his shirt and made a pitiful mess.
Damon shook his head, his mouth forming a slow smirk.
"Whoohoo!" Elena had finally stopped trying to shake her imagination against Caroline in exchange for spinning aimlessly around the pole in the corner of the room.
Shaking her head and bowing it down in her hands, Bonnie was met with the cold press of glass against her skin. Looking up she found Damon's blank stare as he offered her a glass of water. "Thanks."
He gave her a fleeting smile before falling back and sitting comfortably in the seat they…oh…oh god! Bonnie realized at that moment with all her friends in the room, that not only did she have sex with Damon but she did so in public. Jeez, what has this man done to her? Even now, him sitting there in what was supposed to be an irritated manner, came off as suave and sexy to Bonnie's addled mind.
He is so hot. God, when did she become so wonton?
A bounce in the cushion to her left distracted Bonnie from her outright ogling at Damon as she noticed Caroline now sitting next to her. Tyler moved to the armrest and leaned over the blonde. Luckily, they didn't seem too drunk, or maybe they were forced to sober up thanks to the Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt wannabes.
"Hey," Caroline breathed with a smile.
"Hey," Bonnie replied back, matching her expression. With their eyes, they conveyed similar dismayed feelings about Drunk and Drunker.
Speaking of,
"Now that I've seen what a performance should look like, I can't help but feel like Stefan is being cheated here." Bonnie looked up quickly at Damon's words and the overexaggerated pensive look on his face directed at the merry-making couple.
With a quick twist of her head, Bonnie turned to see what he meant. Elena was giving Stefan the show of his life, twirling, mostly tripping and falling, but then picking herself back up and grinding against the pole and shaking against it like it stole her money. Stefan paid her back whatever the pole stole as he had already taken out his wallet and was honest to god, throwing ones at his girlfriend.
"You like what you see Stefan?"
"Yeah baby, let me see what else you got."
Caroline and Bonnie groaned in tandem. However, it wasn't until Elena actually started to take off her clothes that they moved into action. Tyler with raised eyebrows had his vision obscured as Caroline tackled him down with her hands over his face. "Bonnie!"
Bonnie glared at Damon to keep his eyes to himself although she shouldn't have bothered. He was already focusing his attention on her after laughing at the spectacle Caroline and Tyler were making. The skinny blonde wrestling the buff unwitting ex-football player into a chokehold and telling him 'Not to look!' until he squealed was definitely a sight.
"I got her!" Bonnie yelled, pushing down what she could of her own skirt and running up to Elena and Stefan.
"Whoop! Yeah, Bonnie!" Elena and Stefan cheered, obviously not knowing the real reason she was up there and just assuming she was going to join.
Bonnie gave Stefan a wary look, still not used to this drunk side of him. He rarely ever genuinely let himself go, at least in front of her, so it was a shock to her senses how someone so reserved and polite all the time could act like this. Turning to her friend, Bonnie grabbed Elena who held tightly to the pole, even going so far as to wrap her legs around it. "No! Mine!" She was at least able to get a portion of the top half of her dress back up from flashing everyone with her bra. Thank God.
"Elena, I'm not going to argue with you," Bonnie said, really putting her back into pulling the girl but she underestimated her strength. She may be slender but she was definitely strong, Bonnie would give her that.
Stefan just stood back snickering. He was a lot of help.
Trying a new tactic, Bonnie stood back with a huff. "Alright, we're leaving you two here then."
Elena shrugged, starting to sway her hips again to the song currently playing. It was Bubblegum Bitch by Marina and The Diamonds, ironically the worst song to play right now in order to get Elena to not rebel.
"We're going to McDonald's, so that means you won't get any if you stay." Elena slowed her movements.
"Oh fuck, I could use a Double Cheese Burger right now." Stefan moaned, shuffling his feet as he got lost in his food fantasies. Bonnie mused that if Elena were sober right now she would probably be offended that he was more enthralled by the thought of food than her shaking her money maker.
However, that would make Elena a hypocrite as she started to come down from her own high. "French fries?"
"Yep, french fries."
"And those chicken nuggets you like," Caroline sang, coming up behind Bonnie to coax the girl as well.
"With ranch dipping sauce? And a strawberry-banana smoothie?" Elena's doe eyes glimmered hopefully.
Bonnie bit her lip, it was nearing three in the morning she gathered looking at the clock hanging on the wall, McDonald's for damn sure was not going to serve them something from their smoothie machines, but she knew Elena wouldn't like to hear that. "Mm, hmm!" She hummed with extra cheer to mask her lie.
"Okay..."
Caroline and Bonnie sighed in relief. Each taking a side, they helped the girl down and firmly fixed her clothes.
Stefan was already being forced to sit and handed a glass of water by Tyler. Caroline led them to the couch so they could also sit Elena down.
Once that was finished and Elena had her own glass, both of the miscreants were babied by Tyler and Caroline, probably due to the couple feeling guilty over Stefan's blurted truths. Bonnie stood over to the sidelines watching with her arms crossed, waiting for when she was needed.
"Here you go Bunny." Bonnie gasped at the touch of cool skin against her own, a shiver going down her spine partly from shock and partly from who was brushing their fingers against her. The electricity that zipped down her skin from his touch was always surprising.
She tried to shake the feeling off as he wrapped his jacket around her waist. His strong arms came in close and caged her in for a moment forming a memory of a similar position they had been in earlier, dipping her thoughts into the gutter for all of two seconds. Her head was so distracted, that she only came to when he fisted his jacket sleeves and pulled them taut, jerking her body a little roughly against his. The girl gasped. Bad Bonnie. "As sexy as you look with your clothes all ripped Xena Princess Warrior style, I can't have you flashing your goodies at the wannabe Hulk and my droopy-eyed brother over there."
"I heard that." Tyler sneered.
Damon kept his eyes on her as if he didn't hear the man.
"Thanks," Bonnie replied, taking a much-needed step away so that she could take in a breath that wasn't all Damon.
He seemed to read something in her gaze as his own eyes narrowed and his mouth twitched. "Hey, about us…" He started, leaning in closer.
"Not now," Bonnie shook her head, holding him back with her small hand on his chest.
Damon's expression became unreadable but he took heed and stepped back. "Alright, but just so you know I'm not taking anything that happened tonight lightly. I know it was a big deal for you and I don't want to pressure you into anything."
Bonnie smiled fondly at him, suddenly feeling a weight lift that she didn't realize had settled on her. "Okay," she breathed out, unexpectedly breathless. He was making butterflies flutter around in her stomach and she didn't know what to think of that.
"Do you guys smell that?"
.oOo.
After finally wrangling the drunken pair out of the club, they meandered to their cars as Elena and Stefan started singing We Will Rock You by Queen. At first hesitant, the group was coaxed due to the warm air, other raucous party-goers on the street, and the joyous merriment in which the couple sang, slowly as a whole they all started to sing along, stumbling yet thankfully not falling as they made their trek to their vehicles. By the end of it, they had finally reached their destinations–Tyler's car was luckily in the same parking lot as Damon's, and the whole group was laughing. Stefan's broken notes, the words that Elena drunkenly mumbled and mispronounced, Tyler's yodeling he called a singing voice, Caroline's genuine attempt, and Damon's scats rifted on an air guitar that turned into sudden falsetto at the wrong parts had Bonnie bent over in laughter.
She loved her friends.
Still laughing and mocking each other's singing voices, the group finally helped get Elena and Stefan into Damon's car.
Then they were off, with Tyler and Caroline trailing behind.
As promised, they stopped at McDonald's, and thankfully Elena had forgotten that she had wanted a smoothie as she and Stefan sat in the back seat fully contented with their food.
The intense moaning, and 'Yes!' 'Oh God, this is delicious!' 'Fuck!' from Stefan was a little much though.
Bonnie rolled her eyes when Stefan started a groan that turned into a weep, "Oh double cheese, you have to be the best thing that's ever happened in my life. I love you so much."
"Stefan your girlfriend is right there." Damon snorted. He had already scarfed down his Big Mac and fries in record time while they idled in the parking lot and was now intermittently sipping on his coke while steering. With the go-ahead from Tyler who was a just as efficient eater, they were now driving everyone home.
"Mmm, how do they make fries this good? Did God make them? Is God the fry cook?" Elena murmured her head deep in her bag of food.
"I don't think she is too concerned about Stefan leaving her for a sandwich, she's already making her own amorous plans with her fries." Bonnie snickered and she and Damon shared a look.
"Want some?" Hanging off the shared look, the noriette took another drag from his beverage before onehandedly offering it to Bonnie. Noticing that she didn't get a drink.
Rather than putting down the McChicken wrapped in her hands, with a whispered thanks, Bonnie leaned over and took a sip from his straw. Damon chuckled in reply, amused by the cuteness of her actions.
Sometime later, the empty cup neatly placed in its holder, Damon turned down the street on his left and drove a bit further before stopping at a stop sign. He stole glances at Bonnie chewing on the last of her fries as she gazed distractedly out the window. It was nearing four in the morning so he knew she had to be tired. It made him hesitate, he wasn't sure if he should bring up anything that happened tonight or not. Arguably, she seemed in good spirits, even drinking after him so it shouldn't be too bad.
Testing the waters, he tried something innocent. "So…this is going to sound controversial, but I think tonight went well." That earned him a snicker, "Did you have fun tonight Bon Bon? Our first outing together, I hope it was better than your imagination."
Bonnie gave him a sidelong glance before turning back to the window. "I had fun…and of course, you would think I daydream about you."
"Don't you?" Damon smirked.
"Well, there is this one guy that keeps coming up in my visions. He looks kind of like you, dark hair, piercing eyes, debonair…" Bonnie finally looked to Damon, assessing him as he settled in his seat and turned another corner on the road with the smuggest look on his face. "He was a little taller though and his voice wasn't so whiny."
"My voice is not whiny!" Damon yelled in a pinched voice, coming that close to jerking and steering the car into a fire hydrant at the end of her muse.
"Right," Bonnie giggled.
Hearing the tinkling of her laughter, Damon glanced over to her as well and locked their gazes. Quickly he turned back, but that look alone was able to melt his anger and turn it into indignant amusement. "Oh, you are so bad, little girl."
Bonnie shrugged, "Someone's gotta take you down a few pegs."
A moment passed as Damon kept driving, only the sound of Stefan and Elena sporadically giggling and eating within the car.
"I had a really good time Bonnie."
Bonnie looked up, watching his handsome profile as the streetlights played against his alabaster skin.
"I…really wanna see more of you…outside of class."
Jade-colored eyes widened and a full pout dropped open until you could see the appearance of a small pink tongue and a row of impeccably white teeth.
Glancing over when he couldn't handle the silence, Damon's own eyebrows went up, "N-no pressure. I just want you to know that that door is open." He stated nonchalantly before clearing his throat.
Bonnie's mouth hung open even wider after hearing the man stutter.
Damon never stuttered.
Slowly the red on the man's cheeks started to bloom until the color bit his ears and made its ravenous trek down his throat.
Damon never blushed either! Bonnie was flabbergasted.
Was this the effect she had on Damon?
The thought made her chest feel warm. There was a sentimentality there, a feeling that grew, something like fondness or tenderness? Seeing him nervous and bashful like this–like a little boy with a crush, made her feel greedy. That rapaciousness made something darker grow within her; something possessive, perhaps? These feelings were new and unusual so determining them exactly as they were was hard for Bonnie. She'd never felt this way before, especially not over a man. Not even with Jeremy and he couldn't decide if he was coming or going–if he wanted to be with Anna, Vickie, or her. Instead, with him, she felt hurt, insecure–sure, but mostly resigned knowing that what she and Jeremy had then was all it could be. She never really felt jealous and she certainly never felt possessive over him. This feeling that was welling inside of her, that looked at Damon and his normally well-protected vulnerability and told her to cherish it, made her irrationally feel like she didn't want anyone else to see it. A side that she often gave to him and that he was finally giving back. She only wanted him to show her this side. It made her feel insane.
Could she have this effect on other men as well?
At that thought, Bonnie shuddered.
The thought didn't please her the way seeing Damon this way did. If anything, she dreaded the thought of that kind of attention. The contrast to her intense emotions from seeing Damon like this versus another man was so stark that Bonnie felt like she could have a mini-crisis. What could this mean? Were her feelings for him deeper than she'd thought?
That was a dangerous path to follow.
"Alright, Stefan we're here," Damon spoke cutting her ruminations, his voice sounded strained and his face looked pinched, jaw taut. Quickly, he pumped the brakes and got out of the car, Bonnie jumped when the door slammed.
Perturbed, it took Bonnie a moment to realize that she never answered him. Rather she let what was sure to be awkward silence fill the car for a good five or ten minutes as she internally freaked out.
He was probably annoyed that he let himself be vulnerable and got a less than welcome response. Oops.
"Wait!" Elena spoke as Damon opened the backseat car door.
An insufferable sigh and then, "What Elena?"
"I don't want to stay at Stefan's tonight."
"Well, that's too damn bad because it's late and I'm not driving your ass to Timbuktu when I can make fewer stops." He seethed, his patience with the drunk couple obviously dwindling.
"Damon…" Bonnie started, understanding he was frustrated but she was not going to allow him to get upset with her friend.
"I want to stay with Bonnie! I want to have a slumber party! Oh, let's invite Caroline!"
"Bonnie?" Damon raised his brow, impatience bleeding into his tone.
"Fine." Bonnie sighed. She didn't like the idea of taking care of Elena much longer, especially when the alternative was the good rest she wasn't going to have as she stayed up all night thinking about what she said to Damon, what she did with Damon, and how she felt about Da–actually nope, a slumber party sounded like an amazing idea. Elena and Stefan would probably keel over from alcohol poisoning without them and Caroline would be with her to help out. She'd make sure of it.
Ignoring Damon's rolled eyes as he leaned in the car to help a squirming Stefan up, Bonnie pulled out her phone and called her favorite blonde.
Once the dial tone broke she spoke, "Hey, yeah Caroline, change of plans…"
While she was on the phone, Damon found himself that close to knocking his idiot brother's lights out. After getting the younger man out of the car, Stefan had ducked under his arms and tried juking him, weaving in and out of Damon's grasp.
"Fucking hell Stefan, you know I hate when you get like this." The older brother sang cruelly.
"Haha, is that all you got brother?" Stefan jeered, skipping backward on his feet in the middle of the street before falling. "Oof!"
Damon sucked on his teeth, hands on his hips he watched his brother flounder, not even exhausting an iota of energy to chase after the drunk. "Nice one, Stef. I gotta use that move some time." Damon remarked cooly while sauntering over to his groaning relative.
Finally, Tyler got out of his vehicle and met him at the blubbering man, "Hey, let me help you get him in the house."
"About time, Lockwood. I thought I was going to have to carry him myself."
"I should let you, I still feel some type of way about that Hulk comment."
Damon rolled his eyes heavenward, "Not the captain of the football team being sensitive," he lamented. "It's great that you want to subvert the narrative, but get over it."
Tyler glared.
.oOo.
A handful of painful minutes later, Damon was making his way back to his car with Tyler in tow after putting Stefan down for bed, as imagined, a painstaking process.
On their front, Bonnie and Caroline–who had begrudgingly agreed to stay the night for a 'slumber party' and help Bonnie, had spent the time the guys were away moving Elena to Tyler's car. It was decided he would do the honors as a cursory to Damon on his first night out with them and because Tyler already knew how to get to her place.
Bonnie's eyes were caught on his form as soon as he made it out of the apartment building, interrupting her attention on Caroline and Elena's bickering over who had better fries, McDonald's or Five Guys.
The small girl rushed out of her seat in the car, bypassing a slightly started Tyler to meet Damon and just in time too as he was opening his own car door.
Damon looked up, noticing her presence quicker than he wished he would.
"Hey."
"Hey," Damon replied, dryly.
"How's Stefan?"
Closing his door with a sigh, Damon hissed internally realizing he couldn't ignore her like he had planned, instead covering the mental anguish with well-practiced nonchalance by leaning against the car casually. "You mean Donnie Thornberry?" Damon snorted and Bonnie bit her lip to hide her smirk, "He's gonna regret this when he wakes up and gets an angry call from his landlord about the throw-up on the stairs. That smell is not going to come out." He intoned.
"You didn't kill him did you?" Bonnie giggled nervously, her eyes flashing to show her question was only half-serious. It took them a while to come back and it sounded like Stefan wasn't making it easy for them. It made her remember what the boy said earlier and she surmised that he was getting back at all of them for the bullcrap they put him through when they were drunk. Speaking of, she was also a little curious about that 'cute red-head' Stefan brought up, thinking she might tease Damon about it later.
Damon got a dangerous slightly crazed look in his eye that made Bonnie's heart accelerate, "Almost." With a shake of his head, the look was gone but Bonnie learned something else about Damon at that moment. If there was anyone who could truly get under Damon's skin it was his brother, she had no doubt that he felt irritated by him almost as much as he loved him.
The couple stared at each other for a moment.
"Hey, Damon about what you said in the car…I didn't mean to make it all awkward in there." She watched him work his jaw and adjust his weight on his feet yet his stare didn't waver, his eyes were even more intense than before. "I was just thinking…"
A brusque node and then, "Bonnie don't sweat it, okay?" Damon stared at her for a beat and then with a blink of an eye his whole countenance changed until he looked completely relaxed and even amused. The change was enough to give her whiplash, only Damon could change his emotions that quick and make it believable. "I'm the asshole for pressuring you. I'm your therapist and even I don't realize when things are happening too soon. I shouldn't have assumed that you had feelings for me in that kind of way." The man chuckled sardonically.
Bonnie shook her head quickly before speaking, "It's not that–I mean, maybe a little yeah, things are moving really quickly and I would really like to process it but I did have a good time tonight," Bonnie looked up to him while nudging the ground with her toes, "A really good time."
"How good?"
"...Like I'm still feeling it good." Which was true. Her body was still tingling and wired, and as if knowing the person who gave her pleasure was near, her nerves prickled any time he got closer. Her legs still felt unstable, and there was a pressure that lingered inside of her…still pleasurably good and not painful as Damon had thought.
Damon sidled closer to her, his lips twitching.
"And I really…really like you." She breathed out airily, the air denser as he grew closer.
"Really, really?" Damon grinned cheekily, pulling teasingly on the arms of his jacket still wrapped around her waist enough to pull her forward.
Bonnie smacked his hand away before he forced them to collide hip to hip. "Keep it up and one of those 'reallys' will be taken off." Bonnie pouted.
Damon angled his head, lips still unmistakably pulled up at the corners as his electric eyes glowed under the street lights. He was beautiful. His looks were even more pronounced as the purple to red haze of the sky started to glow around him as the sun rose.
Oh great, it was that late.
Damon brushed his fingers across her cheek before brushing back a piece of her hair, "Well Bonnie, I really really reallylike you too." Damon leaned down, exaggeratedly breathing in her scent before pressing a kiss on her forehead.
Her heart jackhammered in her chest, butterflies swam, and her face exploded with heat. Just as slowly, he pulled back and looked at her with a look in his eyes that she could not discern. "Night, Judgy."
"...Night…" Bonnie pulled back and walked slowly towards Tyler's car, all the while feeling the heat of his gaze on her back with the same intensity as the rising sun.
AN: So what did y'all think? We finally left the club, whoopee! I know that was probably one of the longest club scenes in a fic ever lmao.
How was my go at humor? It was planned but just came out naturally which I hope was a good thing and not a bad one.
We're going to get more Bonnie/Caroline/Elena moments next chapter and Bonnie's going to figure out what she really wants.
Sorry it took so long to update btw, I had pretty much only written up to the lemon in my first draft which took like 3 days to write. First time ever writing so much in one go! Anyways, I wanted to write a couple chapters more before posting the next chapter that way I don't just completely stop writing. That means updates may be a little slower but not too slow!
Until next time~
