"Good to see you as well, Emmett, and thank you."
Emmett lets go of Alexis then hugs Bella, "Congratulations, Bella, I'm proud of you."
"Thanks, Em."
"Well, let's go inside. You guys are early; the other guests should be arriving shortly."
Everyone goes inside and is greeted by the Cullens and Samantha. Alice comes downstairs after checking on some last-minute details and greeted the Lycans and Bella, "Hi, Alice, wow, this place looks great!" Alexis said.
"Thank you, Lexie! I hope everyone else likes it as well."
"Of course they will, Alice, you outdid yourself," Alexis told her friend.
A little while later, the DJ showed up and set up, and twenty minutes later, the guest started to arrive. At first, the kids are a little hesitant, but with the music playing and the smell of food in the air, everyone starts to relax and enjoy themselves. Bella was walking around, greeting people, and talking to her friends and avoiding Edward like the plague. At one point, one of the jocks asked her to dance, and Bella happily accepts.
When the song ends, Bella started walking towards Alexis and Emmett who are sitting on the loveseat talking, but Angela and Jessica intercept her, Bella hugs both girls.
"Hey. What'd you think of my speech? Too easy-breezy, too self-helpful? You may admit it."
"No, you pretty much nailed it," Bella said.
"It wasn't as good as mine, but, hey," Alexis said with a laugh as she and Emmett walk toward the trio.
Jessica scowls at Alexis and is about to say something when Angela grabbed her arm, "I love this song," And pulled Jessica onto the dancefloor.
"You're so mean, Lexie," Bella said.
"I know," Lexie said with a laugh, Emmett hugged her and kissed her cheek.
At that moment, Bella spots Jacob, Quil, and Embry come into the house. She smiled at her best friend and went to say hello. While she went to do that, Alexis and Emmett went to go dance. Later Samantha and Rosalie joined them on the dancefloor. They danced for a while until Alexis saw Alice coming downstairs and pause on the stairs.
"Honey Bear, look," Alexis said and motioned with her head.
Emmett turned around and saw that Alice's eyes had glazed over. He and Alexis made their way over to Alice when Jasper arrived, "Alice, what is it? What did you see?"
"The decision has been made," Alice said, "The newborn army is coming here."
"We need to talk to Ambrus," Alexis said.
"I heard, Pup, we're going have to coordinate to fight off these newborns," Ambrus said, looking at Jasper, who nodded.
"Pup, you need to call your pack."
"Right."
Alexis and Emmett went to his room so that she could call Talia and her mom. Meanwhile, Ambrus, Jasper, and Alice went to tell Carlisle what was going on. Jacob, Quil, and Embry followed them. The Cullens, Ambrus, and the wolves went outside to talk in private.
Jacob looks at Ambrus, "So, what's going on?"
"There is an army of Newborns coming to this town for Bella. That red-hair vampire is leading them, Victoria, that has been coming into your territory," Ambrus explained.
"Why are they after Bella," Quil asked.
"Because Victoria believes that Bella is Edward's mate and wants to make Edward suffer what she has suffered since her mate was killed," Carlisle explained, "She has a large army of Newborns that are heading this way and there are not enough of us to protect the town. We're going to need help."
Jake nodded, "I'm sure that if we talk to Sam, he'd be willing to help. After all, these things are a threat to the tribe as well," Jake said then looked at Quil and Embry, who both nodded, "We can't speak for him, of course. We need to go tell him what's going on."
"I'm sure with the help of the wolves and the Lycans, we should be able to take care of the Newborn Army," Ambrus added.
At that moment, Alexis and Emmett came downstairs, "My aunt agreed to bring the pack. My cousins are home for the summer, so they're coming too. And, of course, my mom."
"Good, and with the Shifter's help, we should have more than enough to defeat these vamps. Alice, do you know when they'll arrive?" Ambrus asked.
"In four days, Ambrus," Alice said.
"Good, that will give us time to prepare and train. Jasper will need to train you on how to kill your kind of vampire. The pack has their methods on how to deal with Day Walkers," Ambrus informs them.
Everyone nods, and they go back to the party as if nothing happened while Jake, Quil and, Embry leave to talk to Sam.
As everyone splits up and mingles with the guests, Rosalie and Samantha make their way over to Alexis and Emmett and sit down. Samantha stares at her best friend nervously. Alexis gives her friend a curious look, "What's on your mind, Sammy?"
"Um, Rosie and I have talked about it, and we wanted to ask you to ask your aunt to change me now that she's coming up here."
Alexis smiles at her best friend, "Yeah, of course, I'll ask her, but if she changes you, that doesn't mean you can fight. You need to learn to transform at will. Your first transformation won't happen until the full moon. After that, you can train to transform at will. It doesn't take long if you practice a lot," Alexis informs Samantha.
"Okay, so then not fighting in this battle, right?"
"Right, besides, my aunt probably won't turn you until after," Alexis told her.
As this was going on, in Beacon Hills Talia was tell her pack that Liz and Lexie needed help with a New Born Army, "What are they coming for," Laura asked.
"They're coming for Lexie's cousin Bella. My understanding is that there's a vamp looking for revenge against Edward Cullen by killing his mate."
"But she' not his mate!" Derek said, "She's mine."
Everyone turns to look at him, "Why the hell are we just now hearing about this, Derek?"
"Because she was too young and still in high school when I met her. I was going to wait for her to graduate then tell her."
"What about Edward Cullen?" Cora asked.
"Oh, please, he's no match for me, I would have ripped his throat out with my teeth. So now that Bella's graduated, it's time to claim what's mine," Derek said with a feral grin.
"Okay, then I guess we have more invested more in this girl than we first thought," Talia said, "I think we're going to need more help. Alexis didn't tell me how many of these vamps there are. So it's time to bring a new player into the game."
Talia's husband and children looked at each other confused, "Who?"
"I think it's time to wake up your Uncle Peter."
Everyone gasped, "You can wake up, Peter," Laura asked.
Talia nods
"Why haven't you done it before now," Derek asked.
"Peter wasn't well enough for the venom to heal him completely. He was too badly burned and too weak. His body wouldn't have handled the transformation into a Lycan. Now Peter has healed enough that the Lycan venom will heal him completely, and it won't look suspicious."
"When are you going to do it," Cora asked.
"Tonight."
