Chapter 1
Sometime later the girl awoke to see that she was in a place filled with darkness as far as she could see. Confused by all of this the girl got up to her feet and began to run to try and find a way out of this strange dark place. However, she only succeeded in tiring herself out, collapsing to her knees in exhaustion.
"Where am I?" she questioned. "Hello is anyone there?" In response, the dark place seemed to shift, and a bright light suddenly appeared, causing the girl to shield her eyes. Then out of the light walked a tall horse with a horn and wings along with a white mane and tail that looked ghostly in appearance with what appeared to be a mark of a rainbow on its hip. The horse then stopped in front of the shocked girl and smiled at her.
"Wha-what are you?" the girl asked, trembling in fear of the tall pony.
"I am a pony, an alicorn to be a bit more precise little girl you need not be afraid of me. My name is Luminary"
"Are you God?" the girl asked curiously earning a chuckle from the alicorn.
"I can see why you would think that but alas despite my appearance I am not," replied Luminary. I was just passing by when I heard your dying wish"
"Dying wish? I died?" the girl said in shock.
Yes, you have my sincere condolences" Luminary said as the dark dimension shifted so that both Luminary and the girl could watch the girl's parents cry over their child's death. It saddened the girl to see that even in death that the girl still felt like a burden to her parents. The girl couldn't take it anymore and she collapsed to the ground in sadness and then she started to cry. Seeing this Luminary bent down and nuzzled the girl to calm her down.
"It's such a sad thing when someone dies well before their time and has an left unfilling life behind." Luminary began. "Your plight has touched me child in a way that few others have over my centuries-long existence and so I have an offer for you"
Drying her tears the girl looked up at the alicorn. "An offer?" she questioned. Luminary nodded and responded. "An offer for a chance at a new life full of fulfillment and learning. One where you can be happy and not a burden.
"A chance to be happy?" The girl said as she imagined a better life for herself. Luminary nodded "Yes and you would retain the memories of your previous life so that way you are not unprepared one more thing" Luminary said.
"What's that? Asked the girl.
"I know your previous life didn't go the way that you had envisioned but I want you to live this new life without regret and not to feel like you are a bother to others. Live happily and have fun" said the alicorn.
The girl nodded. and responded "Okay I am ready" Luminary's horn began to glow and the girl fell asleep and her spirit faded away leaving Luminary alone in the void once more. The alicorn smiled,
"We'll see each other again one day child but for now enjoy your new life," the alicorn said
The girl awoke once again to find herself in a stranger location than before "Now where did she send me to and why does my whole body feel weird and deformed somehow? Still, it feels as though I'm covered in a warm blanket it made me want to fall back asleep."
Suddenly, however, her world was shaken by a sudden movement causing her to be tossed about her current location like lettuce being prepared for a salad. Taking a short rest to recover.
"What was that shaking just now?" She wondered but before she could dwell on it any further another rumble shook her world again causing her to panic.
"I've got to get out of here! I can't die again!" she shouts as she begins to struggle to try and free herself from this prison that she was in. Unfortunately. She looked up to see a cord connected to her body keeping her tied down. Forcing sleep to claim her once again.
After what felt like an eternity she woke up again to find the area in which she lay had gotten more cramped leaving her little room to maneuver around the space that she was in," This is so odd either my body has gotten bigger or this room has gotten smaller"
Another rumble followed it was almost hypnotic at this point for her as she was just about to go back to sleep, however, suddenly light burst into the space followed by a pair of colorful hooves coming to grab her and removed her from the dark area and bringing her into the light of the world. Cutting the cord that was attached to her body
"There is so much noise," the girl said it was too much for her handle, and she began to cry loudly.
Then a pair of light greyish olive-colored hooves came underneath her tiny body to cradle it.
"She's so beautiful," Orange Slices said." She has your coat" looking up at her husband Mosley Orange. "Indeed she is beautiful and she has your mane color" he added. Just then a doctor and a nurse pony came into the room and took the baby into another room to do a basic medical checkup,
The former human-turned-foal was taken to another room where a medical check-up was performed. Everything from hoof to tail was checked for any abnormalities in the body of the young foal. Satisfied with the results the nurse pony picked up the baby pony and placed him on her back and brought her back to the room where her new parents Mosley Orange came over and carefully took the child into his hooves, and went over and sat down in the chair next to the bed.
"What shall we name her dear?" asked Mosley asked his wife.
Hmmm," Orange Slices began as she thought about naming her newborn foal. After some more thought, a name came to mind, "How about Citrus Spring?" she proposed
Mosley smiled and replied, "I love it."
