And we're finally back people.
I was able to get all that I needed from OOO 10th... and also the newest One Piece chapters were certainly a kick to the ass to do SOMETHING.
Seriously, didn't expect THAT. (Yes I'm being considerate to the anime watchers that don't read the manga)
Anyway, hope you enjoy this breather chapter here using some of the filler from the series.
The day after the race had finally ended started like any usual day for the crew, everyone quickly setting things up in the morning, before just doing their own things once they were sailing smoothly.
Which of course meant…
"Right… so…" Lumen said awkwardly, sitting in front of Nami in the womens' room aboard the ship.
"Yeah…" she said, looking just as awkward.
The two were silent for a few long moments at that, before Lumen let out a sigh "Ok, I guess… for starters… I'm not mad… I also actually liked it." he admitted.
Nami let out a sigh of relief at that "That… DOES help a bit." she said, before blushing slightly "So… liked it huh?"
"Yeah… not gonna lie, you're a VERY beautiful woman Nami, so you kissing me was… nice." he said, smiling a bit bashfully.
She smiled at that "Thanks. I guess… yeah, I did kinda like it too." she admitted "You're a good looking guy, and unlike most of the others on the crew, you actually have a working brain."
"Yeah, brain power is really skewed towards the women's side on the crew it seems." he admitted with a mutter, before shaking his head "Anyway, I guess… where do we go from here? Since we both liked that, as spontaneous as it was. We're already good friends so…"
She looked at him for a moment, before finishing his train of thought "Do we want to be MORE than friends… yeah?"
"Yeah…" he said, blushing at that "Well… first… can we see ourselves being with each other in that way?"
Nami looked up in thought at that, closing her eyes as she pictured it in her head "I think… yeah actually. It doesn't sound crazy when I consider it in my head."
Lumen nodded at that "Yeah… I feel the same." he admitted "So… want to… try I guess? See if it works?"
Nami considered that, before nodding "Yeah… yeah that sounds good. We give it a shot, and if it doesn't work, we just end it there, and if it does…" she trailed off, blushing a bit, before slapping her cheeks "Ugh, sorry, I'm not usually like this. This is just the first time I've ACTUALLY thought about stuff like this. Usually I just use my looks and bat my eyelashes to rob guys blind."
He chuckled "Don't worry, this is my first actual relationship too, so we're stepping blind into it together at least."
She smiled at that "Well, at least there's that." she said "So… I guess we just try and do stuff together now huh?"
"Yeah… not that easy when we're on a ship and the only forms of entertainment we have are books and watching the idiots flail about." he snorted "But… maybe if the next island we land on is peaceful, we could try to have a date on it."
"That sounds good." she nodded, before looking towards the door that led back up to the deck "I guess I should talk to Sanji to make sure he doesn't do anything to you. You usually get along, but…"
"Yeah, he's been giving me a mix of cold shoulder and a massive mix of looks since yesterday." he said with a slightly nervous look "Like, I know he'd really only kick my ass if I disrespected food, but… yeah, when it comes to ladies, the guy's as unpredictable as a storm."
"Unless you're me." she said with a slight smirk.
"Unless you're you, yes." he agreed with a nod.
She nodded, before standing up "Stay down here a couple of minutes, I'll go make sure he gets the message clearly." she said, starting to walk past him, before stopping a bit, a thoughtful look on her face, before leaning down and kissing his cheek, bringing a blush to his face… and to hers as she walked up the stairs a bit quickly.
When she reached the deck, she immediately made a beeline for the kitchen, knowing that was where Sanji would likely be. True enough, he was in the middle of going over their supplies…something that he had to do more often than he'd like with Luffy's appetite to take into account. Nami waited till Sanji was at least done taking stock before she spoke up. "Sanji," she said, her voice level.
Now normally when he'd hear Nami calling his name, Sanji would be ecstatic. However, the tone was also pretty clear, so that brought up different feelings. "Oh, uh…something wrong, Nami?" Sanji asked, sounding a bit nervous, wondering if he'd done something wrong.
"Nothing's wrong per say," Nami sighed. "Look, I'm just gonna say it straight. I noticed how you've been acting around Lumen recently, so I wanted to make where I stand clear. Yes, we've decided to give a relationship a shot, but both of us agree we're just testing the waters for now. But in the meantime, I don't want you treating Lumen differently from normal," she said. "I think I kind of understand what this is about, but I just want to make it clear that this is a choice I've made, so all I ask is that it's respected."
Sanji was silent for a long moment, before finally sighing "Alright. I… guess I was acting worrying considering my… usual attitude… I'm guessing he was nervous of talking to me?"
"A bit. He was worried you might hurt him or something along the lines, even if he knew you'd only really do it if he messed with food." Nami admitted.
He nodded "Yeah… guess I can't blame him." he said, before shaking his head "You can let him know it's fine, he can come to talk to me and we can clear the air between each other."
Nami nodded, smiling "Will do. And, thanks for being understanding Sanji." she said gratefully before heading back out onto the deck.
"Anytime, Nami," Sanji said after a moment, looking a little bashful even if he was talking to no one in particular.
A while later saw the ship continuing its current voyage, the weather clear, and so far things had seemed to return to normalcy on the ship. Something Lumen was quite glad for, seeing as the last thing he wanted was for things to get…awkward…for prolonged times.
Although obviously he was hanging out with Nami more now, but really, on the ship that just meant sitting next to her more often. "Quite a start we're at, huh?" Lumen sweat dropped a bit.
"Well, we did agree that we probably wouldn't be able to do anything while we're on the ship," Nami chuckled. "And it's really not so bad."
"True. You don't have to start with a bang," Lumen agreed.
Nami smiled, before looking up and frowning. "We should probably get inside, or we're going to be starting with a downpour," she said.
"How bad?" Lumen asked.
"Might be on for a while I'd say," she frowned.
"Ah…better tell everyone then," Lumen nodded in agreement.
A few hours later saw most of the crew inside the cabin, just relaxing for the most part, with Sanji cooking up dinner early, Robin reading a book, Vivi brushing Karue's feathers, Usopp working on some of his gadgets, Nami reading the newspaper, Lumen writing down something on a piece of paper, Chopper keeping the ship steady, Akira counting how many Cell Medals he had… and Luffy being bored out of his mind, face planting on the table as he waited for Zoro, who was on lookout duty outside, wearing a cloak to keep himself from getting soaked, to give them SOME kind of news.
"How long is this rain gonna keep falling?" Luffy groaned.
"It'll stop when it does," Nami said simply. "Just be glad that its JUST rain," she sighed.
"But its so boring…" Luffy groaned, looking around for SOMETHING to do, before looking at what Lumen was doing. "What'cha doing, Lumen?" he asked.
"Trying to figure out what kind of alchemic circle the King's men used to create the Core Medals. I'm writing down everything I know about them and trying to see if there's some kind of link I can find through that." he explained, simplifying it as much as he could for Luffy.
"Uh… what's an acrylic circle?" Luffy asked in his… usual manner.
"Alchemic." Robin corrected him idly even as she read.
"It's basically a special type of circle that has like… I guess the best way for you to understand it would be it's like a recipe, but as a drawing, and the ingredients are the objects you put inside the circle. When you're able to get it to work correctly, they'll change into what you want them to be. For example, this one is of a high level, but it's possible to change regular metals into gold, something that most people would think impossible." He said, before frowning "Of course, you then have the actual forbidden stuff like Human Transmutation." he said, thinking of a good example for that one "There's a story I read once, about two brothers who lost their mother when they were young. They tried to bring her back to life using alchemy, having obtained all the ingredients that would make up an adult human woman… it failed massively, and one of the boys lost an arm and a leg, while the other lost his body in full, needing to have his soul bound to an armor to prevent his death."
"Well…that's one way to caution people against abusing it," Vivi said, looking a bit disturbed.
"How did they even survive?" Akira asked morbidly, because losing an arm and a leg and a whole body…the soul thing aside, he didn't know how the boy who lost the limbs even survived the ensuing blood loss…
"Personally I always attributed it to sheer force of will." Lumen said with a shrug "They got better by the end of the story though. The one who lost his body got it back, and the one who lost his limbs got his arm back, with his leg being a steel prosthetic." he added with a smile "Anyway, the point of this is that I'm actually not sure what category the Core Medals fall in. I'm not even sure HOW they made them. Like, could I make a Reindeer Medal with just some shavings from Chopper's antlers? Or would I need a full Reindeer to make one?" he said with a frown "Obviously, I'm hoping for the first though."
"I think I'd prefer the first too." Chopper said with a sweatdrop.
"Yeah, I'm not in a rush to use live subjects in this…like ever if I can help it," Lumen shuddered a bit.
Luffy was looking at the rough transmutation circle on the sheet of paper still before he gained a grin. "Hey Lumen, can you show us some of that alchemy stuff?" he asked.
"No can do," Lumen sighed. "I'm basically a rank amateur trying to self teach myself without so much as a basic guide. I am NOT gonna try alchemy before I at least have an idea what I'm doing," he said. "Alchemic backfire is NOT a laughing matter. One guy in that story tried doing it without being able to follow the rules, and ended up with his arm fused with metal in a misshapen mess," he shuddered at the memory of that incident.
Nami winced at that "Right… as much as I'd love to have gold on demand, let's wait until you actually know what you're doing before we try that."
"Otherwise Mr. Rider here might end up as a gold statue and you'd become conflicted." Robin said idly.
"Well that's pretty damn morbid." Usopp muttered with a shiver.
Robin just seemed amused by the reaction.
Fortunately, before the conversation could continue, Zoro came in. "Hey, I saw an island up ahead," he said, pulling down the hood he had on. "Also the rain seems to be slowing down," he reported.
"Alright! Maybe we'll find something fun on the island!" Luffy grinned, jumping out of his seat and running out, while everyone else was…less than enthusiastic.
"He has way too much energy as always," Akira sweat dropped.
"Don't need to tell us twice," Nami groaned.
"Welp, if this island ends up being nice and calm, I think we finally got a spot we can drop you off." Lumen said to Akira as he got up from his seat.
"Yeah. I'm just glad that promotion I got shoved at me gives me more liberty to act with less breathing down my neck." Akira said with a sigh.
"Thank goodness for small mercies, right?" Lumen sweat dropped.
"I guess," Akira sighed as they soon went out of the cabin and out to the deck.
"So…anyone happen to know where we're going to stop by?" Lumen asked, looking around.
"I don't believe I recognize that island," Vivi frowned.
"Hm…can't say I recognize it either," Robin mused.
"Well…it doesn't LOOK like the kind of place we'd have to worry about anything…though looks can be deceiving," Sanji mused.
"Eh, even if there is anything, we can take them," Zoro smirked a bit.
Lumen rolled his eyes a bit, before looking up at the crow's nest as Usopp finished climbing it "What do you see?" he called up to him.
"Looks like there's a pretty big town on the island… don't see any pirate ships by the docks, so I don't think we should try heading there… no Marine bases though." Usopp called down.
"That's good, won't need to sneak around then." Nami sighed in relief.
"Especially if the Wanted Posters finally start to hit the islands. I'm surprised it's taking the News Coo so long to deliver them though." Vivi said with a frown of confusion.
"Yeah, about that…" Akira said, coughing a bit "I… MAY have called in a favor the editor in chief owed me for saving his ass some years ago, asked him to hold onto them for as long as he reasonably could."
"Huh…that explains a lot. Thanks for that," Nami blinked.
"No problem," Akira chuckled a bit as they soon docked on the island.
The ship was anchored right next to a cliff, with the crew disembarking by walking off the mast and onto the land.
"Remember Carue, even if Zoro jumps into the water again, DON'T follow him this time!" Vivi shouted down to her duck, who quacked out an affirmative.
"What the hell's that supposed to mean?!" Zoro shouted up in irritation.
"Do we actually need to explain that muscle head?" Lumen shot back with a raised eyebrow, earning a grumble from the swordsman, before he looked to Robin "Please make sure he doesn't do anything stupid."
"Of course." Robin said with a chuckle as she sat reading a book, staying on the ship with Carue and Zoro.
The group soon entered the town, and found a simple and peaceful looking town. Everyone seemed happy and content with their day to day lives. "Wonder if we can find something fun in this place," Luffy wondered with a grin as he went ahead as usual.
"Well, would certainly be nice if they have something that's fun that ISN'T a sudden immediate danger." Lumen sighed.
"Like the Dead End Race, yeah?" Nami asked him knowingly.
He groaned "Yeah, like that… I mean, we made off like royalty from that thing, but it was still hell."
"Yeah, I definitely would like something that doesn't nearly kill us," Nami chuckled a bit.
As if in response to that…
"Hey! Look at this!" Luffy said, looking at some kind of posters on a wall.
"Please don't let those be the Wanted Posters." Chopper said with a frown, walking alongside the others in his full reindeer form.
"If they are, get ready to run." Usopp whispered to him nervously.
Going up to the posters that had Luffy excited for some reason, they saw…
"Ah, good, not the Wanted Posters." Sanji said with a sigh of relief.
"A fireworks festival?" Vivi read off the poster with a blink, before smiling a bit "I see… It's been so long since I've seen fireworks… I think the last time was a bit before I left Alabasta."
"Sounds like it could be really fun," Lumen agreed.
"If everyone is okay with it, it would definitely be something to stick around for," Akira nodded.
"Let's watch it then!" Luffy grinned.
"Guess that's that," Nami said with a wry smile. "We'll be sticking around for the show."
"Town looks good for a first date too." Lumen told her with a smile, earning a nod of agreement from her.
"Haven't seen you folks around." they heard somebody say to them, turning to see a balding man looking at them curiously while he did his shopping at a stall next to them "You here to see the fireworks?" he asked them with a friendly smile.
"Not originally." Sanji said.
"Are the fireworks well known?" Luffy asked, tilting his head curiously.
"Of course! The fireworks festival we have here is famous!" the man said with a grin.
"We've been holding it for 400 years after all." the shop owner added with a smile.
"That long?" Usopp said in surprise.
The shopkeeper nodded, before pointing behind them "See that tower on the mountain behind you?" he said, making them turn around, quickly spotting the tower near the top of the mountain "The people living there having been making fireworks for generations since 400 years ago."
"Wow, that's a long tradition," Vivi said impressed. "I can only imagine the fireworks here will be quite the sight after 400 years of the craft," she smiled.
"Trust us when we say you won't get fireworks to this level anywhere else in the world," one of the men grinned. "Right now, it's just an old man and a little girl, but the kid's got talent from what we heard. They make the fireworks all year round, just for this day."
"Why does it take a whole year to make fireworks?" Luffy asked in confusion.
"Probably because they want to make a LOT of them, and each time they make one, they need to be careful since those things DO use gunpowder, so wouldn't want to accidentally blow themselves up." Lumen said thoughtfully "They also probably need to make some bigger models for the finale of the show, since I doubt they use the same ones all the time."
"That's it!" Usopp said, striking his palm with his fist "We looked like we were running low on gunpowder for the cannon. I'll go see if they could spare some!" he said before turning to run towards the mountain.
"Good luck with that!" Vivi called to him as he ran.
"I just hope nothing like last year happens again." the balding man said to the shopkeeper.
"Yeah, better not." the shopkeeper agreed with a sigh.
"What happened last year?" Nami asked them curiously.
"Well…" the balding man started, but the shopkeeper cut him off.
"Come now, they came here to have a good time. No need to bog them down with stuff like that," the shopkeeper said.
"Ah…yeah, I guess you're right," the balding man said before turning to them. "Sorry about that, forget I said anything," he said before walking off.
Nami looked at them curiously, but any attempts to follow up on that was cut off when Luffy turned around. "Oh yeah, we should tell Zoro, Robin, and Carue about this!" he said.
"Let's do it!" Sanji said enthusiastically, clearly happy to tell Robin about this…which was slightly derailed when Luffy suddenly commented about if they should eat first.
"Never a dull moment with your group indeed," Akira sweat dropped at the argument unfolding.
"Pretty much," Vivi chuckled in amusement.
A short while later saw the whole crew now in town. Seeing as they had several hours before the fireworks festival started, they'd opted to split up until then. As such, everyone was now scattered across town, doing their own thing to wait for the festival to start.
Among them were Nami and Lumen, who seeing as they were now alone, decided to finally have their first real date. There was just one problem. "So…what do we actually want to do?" Lumen asked, scratching the back of his head.
Nami hummed in thought, considering it "Well… I guess we look around town, see what it has and try to enjoy ourselves?" she suggested with a shrug.
"Better than nothing." he said with a chuckle before they did just that.
The town was fairly simple, having just about everything the people could need to live their entire lives on it, with a few restaurants, different kinds of stores, and apparently there was even a farm on the other side of town, so they could produce their own needs, on top of whatever they imported from other islands through the possible trade routes that likely needed the Marines to assist.
Seriously, one of the blues, the trade routes were probably easy, but in the Grand Line, no way people could just do it simple, because he KNEW that an Eternal Pose could cost an arm and a leg.
Either way, they opted not to think too hard on that and instead just enjoy their date. Because the island had a bit of everything, it wasn't hard to find things to do. Among the things they found was carnival-like area near the pier. The area had several other people too, both locals manning the stalls, and no doubt other visitors from outside the island coming to see the fireworks as well. So far it seems nobody recognized their crew which was good, so that meant that they should…probably…be okay.
"Think these are legit, or think they're crooked?" Lumen snorted a bit.
"Well then, let's find out," Nami snorted as well. The two soon went into the carnival area and picking whichever stands caught their fancy. The first was a ring toss…which they managed to beat without much issue, seeing as the life they were living…it made carnival games a LOT easier to play.
The stall owner whistled, impressed by their performance and without hesitation gave them several tickets. It seemed this carnival worked more like an arcade than a typical carnival. People playing games would be given prize tickets from winning at the various games, before they could go to a Prize Counter to redeem said tickets for the prizes. With that in mind, they tried a few more games. Among them were the bottle tower games and the cork gun games. All of them were simple enough for the two to win at, which meant that they racked up a sizable number of tickets which they soon brought to the prize counter.
"What should we get?" Lumen mused as he was looking over the various options they had based on the number of tickets they'd won.
"Lots of options." Nami said, leaning on the counter a bit as she looked at what was available, humming in thought, before her eyes fell on something "Hey, how about that?"
He looked at what she pointed out, seeing a very well done and highly detailed wood carving of fireworks exploding above the island "Huh… not a bad idea actually. Would be a nice memory of the day here." he said, nodding in approval, before they got just that.
"Excellent choice," the man manning the counter smiled as he gave them the prize. "Hope you enjoy the festival, and may this be a reminder for years to come," he grinned.
"I think we will," Nami smiled as the couple took the prize and soon left the carnival. "Where to next?"
"I guess continue exploring. Never know what else we'll find…and maybe we'll see what the others are up to," Lumen said, chuckling at the end.
"That could be great for a laugh," Nami snorted, since knowing their crewmates, several of them are probably up to shenanigans.
With that agreed, the two started exploring the town further. As they did, they noticed a crowd gathered before what appeared to be a large buffet. "Wonder what's going on here?" Lumen blinked, to which Nami noticed a nearby sign.
"Seems like it's an annual eating contest that's part of the various events held to work with the Fireworks Festival," she mused.
"Eating contest, huh? Heh, I bet Luffy wou-oh hey, there he is right there," Lumen said, before changing his train of thought when he saw the familiar straw hat, with Luffy showing restraint he didn't know he had…was actually waiting for the start signal.
"Heh, that's all gonna be gone in less than a minute," Nami snorted. Right as she said that, the announcer finished saying some stuff…before he pulled a lever, and a section of the ground opened, before out came what could only be a table shaped like a mountain the height of a three story house…absolutely stacked with various dishes.
Lumen and Nami blinked at the sight, before they slowly looked at each other and grinned. "Think there's a betting pool?" Nami asked, her grin wide.
"I say we find out before they start," Lumen said with a grin to match hers.
Turns out there was a betting pool, with various locals betting on their favorites, albeit a few betting on the newcomers like Luffy. Perfect really because right as the two placed their bets, the signal started…and Luffy leaped high into the air…and smashed into the tower of food with all the grace of an A-Bomb.
That…really is all that needs to be said for the fate of the food tower.
The eating contest which apparently normally would last till the last man was standing…was over in a whopping 3 minutes and by the time it was over…well…most people were stunned silent as the winner was…very obvious.
"It was bound to happen." Lumen said with a grin as they collected their winnings and went on their way before anybody connected them to Luffy.
After witnessing the black hole that was their captain, they found a bookstore, which Robin was going through… with Chopper following her around, carrying the books she was picking out in a sack that hanged off his back… almost like a pack mule… best not to tell him that.
"...find anything interesting?" Nami asked rhetorically as the two came closer.
Robin and Chopper turned to see them, to which Robin chuckled. "I did, yes," she said. "Are you two enjoying your date?"
"As a matter of fact, yes," Lumen chuckled a bit. "Town's nice, and the stuff they have for the festival are both fun…and profitable."
"...I don't get it," Chopper blinked.
"Luffy, eating contest, a betting pool," Nami snickered.
Both Robin and Chopper had an 'ahh…' expression on their faces.
"So how long is that going to last?" Chopper asked after a moment.
"Hard to say. It really depends on how much Luffy drains our food supplies moving forward," Lumen sighed. "Ten bucks says he'll be hungry by dinner time as if he didn't just demolish a tower of food."
"No bets," Robin and Nami snorted. Everyone knew better than to bet against Luffy's stomach.
The couple soon left Robin and Chopper to their own devices shortly after and continued on It wasn't too long before they found their fellow crewmates doing their own thing around town. First was Zoro doing some kind of 'test your strength' thing with some other tough looking guys. Needless to say…Zoro was putting them to shame. The second they found was Sanji who was unsurprisingly going through stuff at the market, no doubt looking to restock while they had the chance. Of course, aside from restocking he was also taking the time to fawn over some of the pretty sellers. Of course among them was one that stood out a bit. Pretty looking for sure but well…
"Hey, you realize that's a dude, right?" Lumen couldn't help but say as he and Nami walked past, as indeed, one particular seller Sanji was fawning over was certainly pretty…but they were actually a very effeminate man. One that actually did a pretty good job passing off as a woman unless you look closer.
"Awww, and I was hoping to see how long before he'd notice himself," the seller in question snickered, with a voice that even sounded rather naturally feminine.
Sanji's reaction was… shocked confusion and some self-disgust from the looks his face was going through as he muttered out something unintelligible before running off.
"I feel a bit bad for him, but he should try to look closer next time," Nami sweat dropped.
"And to be fair…I do wear a dress quite well," the seller snickered a bit.
Nami and Lumen looked them over…and couldn't help but nod since once again…he really DID pass off quite well for a woman.
Either way, they soon continued onward, and the next crewmate they found was Vivi with Carue, the two walking around town, enjoying the sights. The only oddity to that sight was the part where Carue was drinking from a huge cup he was carrying with him, the stuff looking like juice.
"Huh, must be some juice if Carue is drinking that much," Lumen whistled a bit.
"It's apparently a local specialty," Vivi chuckled. "He'd have ordered more variety, but he's not allowed to have alcohol after a certain incident a while back," she said.
Carue quacked as if to say 'We promised not to talk about that ever again!'.
Vivi chuckled a bit before she turned back to them "So, what about you two? I hope you're enjoying yourselves."
"I'd say we are." Nami said with a smile, deciding to hook her arm with Lumen's own, making him chuckle.
"This place is fun, and we're getting along pretty well so…so far so good," Lumen chuckled.
"And I hope it stays that way. You two seem like a good match," Vivi smiled a bit.
"You really think so?" Nami asked, both her and Lumen blushing a little at that.
"I do," Vivi grinned.
Both of them seemed bashful at that. It was strangely nice knowing they had Vivi's support. Eventually they left Vivi and Carue to their own devices, the couple continuing on. The last person they found was Akira, but unlike the others, he seemed to be looking for something.
"Something wrong?" Lumen asked as they got closer.
"Not wrong per say," Akira frowned. "I was thinking Usopp would be back by now. It shouldn't take that long to get a bit of gunpowder."
"Huh… good point." Lumen frowned, before looking at the mountain "Think he's still up there?"
Akira considered that "Maybe… guess I'll go check. See ya later." he said, waving to them as he quickly walked in the direction of the mountain.
With him gone, the couple continued on their date, eventually finding a pub with an outdoor area. That was where the couple found themselves enjoying a drink as they watched the sun which was starting to set, and before long it would be time for the festival. "This was a really fun date," Nami smiled.
"Yeah…a shame its almost over," Lumen said with a tinge of melancholy.
"Maybe…maybe not," Nami said with a mischievous smile.
"What do you have in mind?" Lumen snorted in amusement.
"Well…we could always find a place to watch the fireworks. Just the two of us," Nami suggested.
He chuckled a bit "Sure, I doubt there's gonna be many people up on the roofs. So that should be the best place for us."
With that, the two went looking for a nice spot up on the roofs of the building around town, finding one with a good view after a few minutes, just as the sun dipped below the horizon, sitting down on the edge of the roof before the show started.
It wasn't long before the show started after that, the two of them leaning back as they enjoyed it together.
Back on Earth…
Maria blinked as she watched the episode, especially on how her brother was interacting with Nami. At first she had her doubts, but now…it was fairly clear that her brother was falling for Nami and vice versa. All in all…she could only say one thing.
"I'm gonna get an Anime character as a sister-in-law, aren't it?" she asked no one in particular, her face somewhere between 'wtf' and 'pinch me I must be dreaming'.
Come on, you had to expect we'd try our best to have a date chapter since we just started up that relationship.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this little rest after the last excitement, because we felt the Filler arcs after Arabasta were pretty good for short adventures.
So, here's our little count up before we leave... that's still the same.
Count the Medals:
