Here is the new chapter, thanks for 2k views on this and 1k on Weaver. I may decide to start working on another chapter of this, but I don't know. Remember Weaver will receive its weekly update on Sunday. Anyways, here is the continuation of the Genin Exams. Also, I will start adding an analysis at the bottom of each chapter, you know to explain some things that I think might confuse yall. Sometimes I'll explain techniques, how strong people are and how someone wins a fight.

Naruto woke up the next day. The Hokage listened to him and made the Genin exams harder. There was now another part to evaluate if someone has the individual skills to use their abilities and apply them as a shinobi. This is also when they were asked what field they would like to learn and what type of shinobi they would like to become. Training courses were offered to the people who failed.

In any case, Naruto was sure he would pass; he was already an accomplished assassin way above the normal Genin level. Naruto jumped up out of bed and went to wash his face, brush his teeth, and other things you do in the morning. He put on his shirt, then his shorts, before getting his hakama pants, and his coat. Naruto ran to his kitchen where he grabbed a ration bar before taking his beanie off the door and running out.

He made it to the meeting place and found it to be a large training ground with a large forest and lake next to it. Naruto looked around to see that the only person there was Sasuke who was training his taijutsu. Sasuke and Naruto found them both adapting similar techniques and strategies in a close quarters fight.

While Naruto generally fought with his blades at close range, his taijutsu lacked a real formal style and rather just him using his mind to find different ways to make a single attack open up several more options depending on how his opponent responded. There were no stances, no specifically trained movements, nor was there an actual name to it.

Sasuke fought in a similar way to Naruto, use a single move that led to several different ones, then continue. Their main difference was that Sasuke did use practiced stances from his interceptor fist fighting style. Naruto would attack and use his opponents attempts at defending and counterattacking to continue his assault. Sasuke would defend before doing a devastating counterattack.

The 2 incredibly similar yet vastly different styles were both effective but sometimes situational. Naruto fought like he had a spear and sword, while Sasuke fought like he had a shield and a sword.

"Hey, you wonder what this test is going to be about?" asked Sasuke.

"You bet, either way, I'm sure we will win," responded Naruto.

"You got that right, not much to worry about, none of the other people take training anywhere near as serious as we do," replied Sasuke. "If we fail, this exam aint Genin graduation, it would be Anbu testing or something. Anyways, do you wanna spar?"

"Sure, anything is allowed except killing, got it?" said Naruto. Sasuke just gave a small nod as they got into position. At this point, more people started arriving.

Naruto started the battle with a kick aimed at Sasuke's leg. pushed it away with his arm before sending a punch at Naruto's face. In response, Naruto grabbed the arm and tried another kick this time aimed at Sasuke's face. Before his kick could land, Sasuke pulled out of Naruto's grip before grabbing Naruto's leg and attempting to slam him into the ground. Naruto twisted out of the grip and punched at Sasuke. Sasuke moved to block but Naruto opened his hand and grabbed onto Sasuke's arm before pulling him in and using his other hand to punch at Sasuke's face. Sasuke recoiled back in pain before he felt himself getting lifted by the leg and slammed into the ground. His vision cleared just quick enough to see Naruto in the air with an elbow ready to hit his stomach. Sasuke rolled out of the way before jumping up lifting his leg as he brought it down into Naruto's stomach.

The sparing duo jumped away from each other as their weapon of choice appeared in their hands. Sasuke had 2 war batons appear in his hands. Naruto had his big sword and medium sized one, named Zukiji and Rinkite respectively. The 2 appeared in the center and clashed their weapons. Naruto stabbed at Sasuke's stomach with Rinkite which Sasuke dodged before swinging at Naruto's head. Naruto blocked with Rinkite before swinging Zukiji at Sasuke's legs. Sasuke new jumping would be a rookie mistake and instead moved one of his batons to block before jabbing with the other. Naruto jumped back before aiming his swords got replaced by his rifle.

Many people wondered what was in Naruto's hand before it shot out hundreds of chakra bullets. Sasuke started running and avoiding the bullets before doing a backflip over the stream of bullets. When he landed on the ground, he made a bolt for Naruto weaving, jumping, and ducking under the bullets. At one point, he had to start deflecting and blocking the bullets when he got close. After he got close enough, he swiped both his batons. Sasuke found he hit nothing before he looked up and saw Naruto falling upside down. He cursed loudly as he saw in Naruto's hand was a sniper that was aimed straight at his chest.

Sasuke managed to drop 2 kunai connected with wires right before jumping up. Sasuke saw the beam bellow him before pulling the kunai landing himself dodging another beam above him. The 2 jumped away before Sasuke started weaving hand seals and Naruto put his hands together. They both took a deep breath before exhaling. A large flame came out of Sasuke's mouth; a large explosion came out of Naruto's. The 2 attacks met in the middle and a large flame cloud was formed.

Before the 2 could escalate the fight, they saw the Hokage arrive along with who they assumed to be the instructors. They brushed off their clothing before making hand signals to each other. Most people would wonder what they were doing; but the Hokage understood. They made a whole complex code simply to communicate with each other. They continued their private conversation as people just stared trying to understand what they were doing. Soon Sasuke sighed in defeat and Naruto waved his hands in the air in celebration.

"Hello, now that those 2 have finished their little scuffle," said Hiruzen gesturing to Naruto and Sasuke who had the decency to blush slightly. "We can start these exams."

"Right," interrupted an average sized, young woman. She had light brown pupilless eyes. Her hair was violet and shaped like a pineapple. For clothes she wore some mesh clothes with a trench coat and small skirt. "I'll be here for the first part of these new and improved exams. I have 1 thing to say, run." Most people tilted their head in confusion asking what she meant.

Sasuke was also confused but decided to follow Naruto's lead and ran to the forest. Some people turned to watch them before a snake came and started attacking them. Everyone started screaming and scrambling as they tried to escape the large snake. "Is this really necessary?" asked a tall man with brown eyes, olive skin, short black spiky hair, and a beard. His clothing consisted of the standard Konoha outfit with a Jounin flak jacket on top.

"It will lower the amount of field deaths we have, besides, there is no harm in this," responded the Hokage. "Anyways, half of them have already been captured by the snakes. Anko you can go now, just 18 left to get." Anko smirked before running off to catch the rest. "Now unfortunately, you 18 have failed the exams. If you would like to continue pursuing being a shinobi, then sign up for one of these courses. They will train you to become whatever shinobi you are trying to become." The students initially hung their heads in shame before perking back up after hearing the good news. They went and started to sign up for whatever course they would like before leaving.

Anko was chasing after the final 2. Truthfully, as long as you weren't the first half captured, you move on. After is just for Anko to evaluate them and see what skills they have. "You can't sneak up on me," 2 snakes came leaping out of Anko's sleeve and tried to bite Naruto who was behind her. Naruto's knife which he named Chikate appeared in his hand before he went and decapitated both snakes. He quickly blew out a small explosion to blind Anko before he ran away with Sasuke following him.

Anko grinned as she began her pursuit. She started dodging each trap Sasuke set while throwing kunai at the escaping duo. Sasuke stepped on a branch that broke and caused him to fall on the floor. A few snakes came and bit him, injecting him with a paralytic. Sasuke struggled to move as the poison took its effect, but Naruto picked him off and continued running. Naruto started weaving through the trees as he started to get scratched by some thrown Kunai. He continued running and running before more snakes came from inside a tree and bit him injecting him with the paralytic. Luckily, he was mostly immune, but it still affected him, and he was begging to slow.

Anko quickly caught up and caught them before bringing them back to the field.

"Good job, you 18 have passed onto the next phase. Take a 15-minute break, Anko, give them the antivenom," said the Hokage. Anko reluctantly started injecting people with the antivenom as the effects were almost immediate.

"Sasuke, what do you think this next part will be?" asked Naruto.

"I don't know, but we'll be fine. We did the best here, what's going to stop us from doing the best again?" said Sasuke. Naruto just nodded in silent agreement.

"Ok, I will assume you are all rested and ready for the second part," said the Hokage. Everyone gave a small nod as a reply. "Last round, half of the original 36 were eliminated. Now, out of you 18, only 9 will be left remaining. We will be conducting a battle royal, only rule is no killing." Some people sported grins after that, Kiba especially seemed happy with that. Other people were less confident such as Sakura and the majority of the rest. "Everyone, begin!"

Despite the battle starting, no one moved. Everyone waited for someone to make the first move. The uneasy silence was broken when Kiba got impatient, "If none of you are starting, then I will!" Kiba and Akamaru ran to one of the civilians at a high speed. The poor unsuspecting civilian got thrown out and skidded across the floor before hitting a training post, unconscious. That move started the battle with everyone running to a different person.

Choji and Shikamaru started to work together and fought i against 2 other civilians. The 2 civilians ran at Choji and Shikamaru but Choji used his expansion Jutsu and became a large boulder that rolled to the civilians. The 2 jumped back only for one of them to get caught in Shikamaru's shadow. Choji quickly rammed into him taking him out of the fight. Choji then went into normal mode and punched the other in the face knocking him out.

Shino's opponent kept throwing kunai and shuriken at him which he had to repeatedly dodge. His opponent charged at him to try fighting him hand to hand. The 2 started to engage in a small taijutsu fight that seemed to be pretty neck and neck. Shino tried to punch his opponent in the face but was dodged and kicked in the stomach. His opponent charged the down Shino jumped up and landed with a kick but the Shino he hit dispersed into a swarm of insects that went and sucked him dry of chakra.

Naruto yawned as he weaved in between his opponent's attacks. Naruto was honestly quite bored and expected more out of his opponent. He sighed as he finished it with a single kick to the head. The "Fight," was incredibly disappointing.

On the other side of the field, Sasuke felt the same. He was just dodging and blocking whenever he felt like it. The first test was significantly harder than the second for him. Sasuke ducked under a punch grabbed his opponent by the neck before finishing the fight with a punch to the face. He couldn't wait to do something more fun.

Hinata was blocking all her opponent's attacks. The battle wasn't that difficult, and her opponent couldn't land a single hit. Hinata lunged forward and sent a palm strike at her opponent's shoulder blocking the chakra flow. Her opponent staggered back and held onto their shoulder before trying to attack her again. They attacked with a flurry of punches that Hinata ducked under. She went and finished the fight in 1 final strike to the chin knocking out her opponent.

Sakura and her opponent were trading blows. Each punch one performed was blocked or met with a punch. The 2 were as equally matched as they came. Sakura pulled back her fist and managed to get 1 extra hit in with a punch to the arm before jumping away. She pulled out some kunai and threw them at her opponent. They quickly jumped up before charging at her once again. They continued trading blows, but this time Sakura managed to grab her arm and pull her in before, landing a weak punch. Her opponent staggered back holding their face and were quickly punched again and again until they were finally down. Sakura was barely standing and panting heavily.

Ino was having a very similar match with her opponent as Sakura had with hers. Her opponent was also equally matched and their short taijutsu scuffle was broken up as they both jumped up and threw kunai at each other. They both brought out another before blocking each kunai and entering another battle with the kunai. Ino managed to dodge a stab and managed to stab her enemy in the shoulder before using her Min transfer Jutsu taking over their body before surrendering, winning the fight and leaving the final 9 left.

Here is the new chapter, next chapter will the final part of the Genin exams. I haven't decided if it will be dedicated to that or if I will start the teamwork test and getting their teams and stuff. Depends on what I cook up next chapter.

-Analysis-

Naruto and Sasuke are both higher than Genin level in strength. If someone says that there is no such thing as Genin level as I have seen people say that, just know I'm pretty sure that there is an average expected strength for each rank. Kakashi says that no Genin should have the chakra to use the fireball jutsu meaning that there is an expected average amount of chakra. That implies that there is an expected everything for each rank. Anyways back on topic, Naruto is a trained assassin and will be known in the bingo books. He is by no means an A-rank shinobi. He is, at the moment, in between Chunin and Jounin although closer to Chunin. Jounin level shinobi are generally like a B rank threat. When in the full Korosensei mode, Naruto could be on the lower spectrum of Jounin level. Meaning his full power at the moment would be a low B-rank. If you think his Korosensei mode should make him significantly stronger, well it does. Just the gap between Jounin and Chunin in this fic at least, will be pretty large. Also, Naruto doesn't have full control over Korosensei mode and can't use it for that long. Sasuke would be right behind him. He can't go Korosensei mode and doesn't have any other powerup mode. He has several jutsus and he is pretty fast so I would put him at Lee level, but Lee isn't Jounin level. Like with the gates, he is really strong, but Naruto and Sasuke can both outlast him. If you find some characters are stronger or weaker than their canon selves, that's me trying to balance the characters and make them more logistical in the story. Anyways, Sasuke is at a high Chunin level, he isn't as close to Jounin as base Naruto but still pretty close for someone his age.
