Hayashi woke up to screaming. A very unpleasant sound in her opinion. Why waste all that air and energy making the loudest sound possible when you could use it on something more relevant. The screaming didn't stop, so Hayashi was forced to get up and deal with life.

She rubbed her eyes and reluctantly walked towards the sound of multiple people screaming. When she finally eneterd the clearing in which the loud sounds were coming from, her eyes widened in shock.

"Umm..." She certainly didn't expect to see a Boar Head man beating the shit out of a blond guy protecting a box. Hayashi didn't really know what she was expecting, probably some kids crying because they got hurt or something, but not this. She blinked a couple of times, before the blond guy started screaming again.

"WAHHHHH! AN ANGEL CAME TO SAVE ME! COME HELP ME, I'M GOING TO DIEEEE!" Fat tears were flowing freely down his face and had started to form a puddle on the ground.

Hayashi winced at the large sound he made. She looked down at the brown box thing in confusion, there was a demon in there, why was the blond guy protecting it? She didn't have any time to think before the Boar Head man started yelling, jolting her out of her thoughts.

"GET AWAY FROM THE BOX YOU IDIOT!" He kicked blonde guy again, "DON'T YOU KNOW THERE'S A DEMON IN THERE? I NEEDA KILL IT!" His voice was really really deep and he held two very chipped swords in his hand.

"NOO! TANJIRO SAID THAT THIS BOX IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIS LIFE! I NEED TO PROTECT IT!" At this point Hayashi thought she was going to have a permanent headache, all this screaming wasn't doing her ears any good. She was tired, grumpy, lacking energy and worst of all... hungry.

Hangry Hayashi was not something the world was ready for.

"SHUT UP."

They shut up immediately. That was nice, maybe Hayashi should do that more often.

The blonde guy looked towards Hayashi with gratitude in his glistening eyes. The board head swiveled his head towards her in surprise, or maybe it wasn't surprise, Hayashi couldn't tell with his mask.

"Hahhhh! Who do you think you are! Interrupting the king of mountains!" He slithered (no literally, he slithered) up to Hayashi, and proceeded to poke her with his sword. "You look weak, fight me!"

Hayashi sighed, exasperated, she didn't have the energy. "If I fight you will you shut up?" The girl didn't want to fight him, but she wanted him to be quiet more.

"Sure! But if you think you can beat me then you're incredibly wrong because I am Inosuke Hashibara, bring it o-"

Inosuke was interrupted by a punch in the face. Hayashi thought that his introduction was taking too long, she didn't have the patience to listen to him. She didn't have the energy to put up with his screaming anymore. Her strategy proved successful when Inosuke stumbled, and fell to the ground.

"That took too much energy out of me, I just want to sleep, but now I have to deal with this. I really need to learn to keep my temper in check, now I've knocked some random guy out." She crouched down and looked at Inosuke who now looked like a dead body on the ground. He had some blood dribbling out of his mask, so she took it off to take a look and make sure he wasn't dead.

The girl was surprised to see a feminine face with delicate features and chin length hair with blue tips. She checked to see that he was still breathing, and let out a relived breath. Hayashi didn't want this Boar mans blood on her hands. She didn't want it on her clothes either, because it would take too much energy to wash out, so she stood up and backed away from him.

Hayashi looked up and noticed the blonde man staring at her intently, a terrified look on his face.

"Oh... Hi. I forgot you existed because you were being so quiet." She walked over to him and hovered beside him, unsure of what to do. "Uhm... do you want some help?"

He started crying.

"WAHHHHHHH, IT'S AN ANGEL, A GODDESS!"

Hayashi flinched at the sudden noise. She attempted to calm the guy down but nothing could stop the river of tears flowing down his cheeks.

"Whats going on here?" A voice sounded behind her, towards the mansion, "Zenitsu, who is this?"

Hayashi turned around and saw a burgundy haired boy accompanied by a small girl and a boy. "Oh thank god someone is here! I don't wanna deal with this anymore, I'm so tired, and hungry! Please tell me you killed the demon too! I didn't really want to fight!"

"WAHHH, TANJIRO! THIS SCARY GUY WITH A BOAR HEAD TRIED TO ATTACK YOUR BOX SO I PROTECTED IT, AND THEN THIS GIRL SHOWED UP AND TOLD US TO SHUT UP THEN PUNCHED HIM AND HE DIED! TANJIRO I THINK HE'S DEAD! BUT THE GIRL SAVED ME FROM DYING!"

"I-... I see... Uhm... Thank you for saving Zenistu, and I apologize for his behavior on his behalf. " Tanjiro bowed to the strange looking girl. When he didn't receive a response he looked up in confusion.

'She's asleep!?'

Hayashi woke to a bunch of shaking. She was on the ground, a pleasant place in her opinion, and she was being shaken awake, which ruined her whole mood. She opened her eyes and was met with a terrifying boar face, right in front of hers.

"Gah!" Hayashi jumped up and effectively headbutted Inosuke who had been leaning over her menacingly, trying to wake her up. "Owwww" Hayashi held her poor forehead with her hands as tears pricked at her eyes.

"GEHEHEHE!" Inosuke pointed and laughed at her misery with one hand while holding his own forehead with the other, "What a loser you are! Getting hurt with your own attack! You mustn't underestimate the power of Lord Inosuke!"

"What are you talking about? You're holding your head in pain too, and besides, that wasn't an attack. It was a reaction to you staring into my soul as I slept." Hayashi rubbed her forhead and backed up, creeped out by the weird boar man.

"Y-You!" Inosuke stood and picked up his swords, "Last time wasn't fair, I demand that you fight me!"

Hayashi scooted away further while maintaining an expressionless face.

"Are you running away from me, the great Inosuke? Are you too scared to fight?"

Hayashi stopped at the base of a tree, and slinked up it, hoping that Inosuke could not climb trees. "No it would take a lot of energy again, and if Shinazugawa-san found out I fell asleep on a mission again..."

Hayashi shuddered, she didn't want to be caught on a mission sleeping again. Last time that had happened it had been hectic. The time before had been terrifying, the time before that was the first time so it wasn't so bad. But it had still been enough to plague Hayashi's sleep with nightmares for a solid 2 weeks.

Hayashi nearly feel out of the tree when a chipped katana landed inches from her head, just scratching her ear. Thankfully she was saved by a person coming out of a mansion carrying some dead bodies.

"Hey! You can't do that, can't you see she doesn't like it, she's in a tree!" The boy yelled at Inosuke, scolding him like a child.

Hayashi sighed in relief, that boar-man-king-thing was really starting to get on her nerves, and if it continued she would loose her temper again and he would probably end up with a concussion. The kind looking boy finished scolding Inosuke, and turned his attention to Hayashi who was still up in the tree.

"Hi, I'm so sorry for his behavior! Zenitsu told me you saved him when Inosuke was attacking him, thank you so much! My name is Kamado Tanjiro by the way, the blonde boy is Agatsuma Zenitsu."

Hayashi slid down the tree and looked at Tanjiro, who had his head down in a bow. "Honestly it was kind of annoying having a lot of people screaming at once, so I only did it to shut the boar head up. I wouldn't have intervened if he had been quiet." Hayashi looked up at the tree where Inosuke's sword was still stuck because she had forgotten to take it down with her, she was too lazy to go back up now of course so Inosuke would have to get it himself.

"...Hahah! You're so funny..." Tanjiro trailed off, unsure of what to call the strange girl.

"Hayashi, or you can call me whatever you want it really doesn't matter. I wasn't joking by the way."

"Oh, okay Hayashi-san... well we finished burying the bodies while you were asleep so why don't you join us?" Tanjiro looked unsure of how the girl could respond. She was quiet different from what Zenistu had described her as, but that Zenitsu and he viewed all girls as goddesses so his judgement was not very reliable.

"Sure why not, I don't see my idiot crow anywhere so I don't really have anything to do. And I can't just stay in one place, Shinazugawa-san would hunt me down..." Hayashi mumbled the last part to herself and shuddered again, thinking of the wrath of the Wind Hashira.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Hayashi and the three kids started down the mountain. Hayashi was tired, despite having slept for a good amount of time, so she didn't really pay attention to much of what was going on except Inosuke kept challenging her to fight and he headbutted trees for some reason.

"Hey Salami, let's fight again! I'll beat you this time!" Inosuke stopped headbutting trees for a second to challenge Hayashi again. So far he had called Hayashi three different names which were all wrong, but the girl didn't really care. Hayashi wasn't her real name anyways, nobody really knew her real name, not even herself.

"Ughhh, I really don't want to! I'm so tired, and lazy, and I need a bath, and so do you guys. No offense and all but you guys stink." Hayashi groaned and continued following Tanjiro after they had parted ways with the children.

"Caw! Head to the Wisteria Mansion to rest, Caw!" Tanjiro's crow said overhead.

Immediately Hayashi perked up at the sound of rest. She was in desperate need of rest. Without waiting a beat, she took off down the rest of the hill full speed in order to get her rest.

"Hey! I'm faster than you, I'll prove it to you by beating you Gashishi!" Inosuke bolted after her, eager to prove his worth.

"Wait, guys! You don't even know where the mansion is!" Tanjiro followed them, trying to get them to come back.

Zenitsu sat there with the confused crow, wondering why he always had to be left behind. "Guysss! Wait for meeee!"
