Here is the new chapter. I am getting excited as some interesting chapters will be coming soon. I'll give a list of what I'm most excited about, 3. finishing the land of waves 2. Naruto playing match maker with Haku and Sasuke 1. The Chunin Exams. By the way, on Shockwaves some time ago, someone said, and I quote, "There were no mobs trying to kill Naruto! Can this retarded fanon just die already!?" A few things, 1. this is fanfiction. I repeat, fanfiction. Emphasis on both parts of that. It aint canon since it's fan fiction, aka fanon. 2. I am up for constructive criticism, but just saying that I got a fact wrong from the story and calling my story retarded because of that is not constructive criticism. That's just being whiny. Also, it is commonly used so yah. If you don't like some decisions I decide to make on my own story, then just comment that you think I could've done something different and maybe I could try using that in a situation in the future or I might use it in a different story.

Their journey was going well until they passed the puddle. Kakashi and Sasuke, both saw it while Naruto smelled it. A strange puddle on the side of the path when it hadn't rained in days. It was clearly an ambush and a poor one at that. After passing the puddle, two figures exit and ripped apart Kakashi before charging Tazuna. Sasuke threw kunai and pinned the chain to the tree before Naruto pulled out his knife and managed to cut one of their arms before they were able to escape.

Naruto and Sasuke split up as Sasuke got into a close-ranged fight with one of them. He was evading the poisoned gauntlet and knocking away the hits with his batons. Sasuke soon got on the ground and swept him off his legs before slamming the end of his baton straight into their stomach. They were on the ground wheezing after the hit and were soon tied up onto the tree.

Naruto was evading Gozu's attacks and moving for the occasional attack with his knife. The battle was nearing its end and the demon brother's arm was completely slashed up although it could still be used. He yelled in rage as he charged at Naruto and slammed the gauntlet down. Naruto jumped up and landed with his knife entering their shoulder.

"It's over," said Naruto with a smirk. Before anyone could speak, tentacles burst out of Gozu's arm. "My blades are hollowed out to allow me to put my antimatter into them. They also have several incredibly thin holes in them that are used seep the antimatter into my slashes. Now that it is inside of you, I can begin bursting open your wounds."

Before Naruto could go any further, Kakashi placed a hand on his soldier as he took the crippled Gozu over to his brother and tied him down. "Now, you will tell us who hired you and why you are here," said Kakashi as he crouched down to them.

"Ok, we'll talk, but just please don't kill us," said Meizu who looked concerned for his brother who had fallen unconscious from the pain of having his arm blown up. Kakashi nodded as Meizu began to spill everything he knew, "We got hired by this guy named Gato, you may have heard of him."

"The shipping magnet?" inquired Kakashi.

"Yah him, anyways we were hired with our boss, Momoichi Zabuza to kill the bridge builder. That is all I know I swear!" yelled Meizu who look panicked.

"Why would, I'll ask Tazuna. Naruto, undo whatever you can that you did to Gozu," commanded Kakashi as he left for the bridge builder. Naruto just nodded as the tentacles sprouting from Gozu's wound had begun to fade. All the tentacles started turning into golden sparkles that dissipated in the air.

"Tazuna, I have a few questions for you," said Kakashi as he faced the nervous looking bridge builder.

"What would they be?" asked Tazuna who seemed to be getting even more nervous.

"You filed for a C-rank mission, yet we were attacked by B-rank shinobi. The Shinobi also made a beeline towards you meaning you were their target, and they did tell me that when I interrogated them. Why do you have Gato of the Gato Shipping Company after you and why did you only file a C-rank mission for something clearly above that level of mission?"

"Ok, ok I'll talk. This is all because of Gato. He went and took over the docks and boats which were the only way in and out of the island. He took away our money and items and all those who resisted were killed. Because of him, we all live in poverty, and it is only bound to get worse as he rules with an iron fist. As to why we didn't get a higher-level mission, we couldn't afford anything above a C-rank mission," confessed the panicked bridge builder. "Please you have to help us. If you don't, my precious daughter and grandson will be distraught and heartbroken."

'Did he just try to guilt trip us?' went through the heads of Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi as they stared with an incredulous look. Before Kakasi could say anything, Naruto stepped up slightly agitated. "Did you try to guilt trip us? I hope you realize that we are trained shinobi, glorified mercenaries for higher. I'm an assassin, Sasuke is a duck, and Kakashi is a cyclops. If you fall to guilt tripping, you shouldn't even be a shinobi." Sasuke and Kakashi both nodded to show their agreement before Naruto continued. "At the same time, I don't feel like leaving hundreds of people to die when I can help them, and this will look good on my record, so I say we continue traveling."

Sasuke then spoke up next before Kakashi could say anything, "I agree with Femboy here. This can be good practice and we dealt with the Demon Brothers easily enough."

Kakashi looked back and forth from Naruto and Sasuke as he was thinking on what they said. "Fine, we'll continue but we expect the full pay once your land is at a stable economic status."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," said Tazuna as he let out a sigh of relief.

They continued their journey with the utmost caution. They couldn't let anything through, and they had to make sure nothing would kill the bridge builder. They all had differing motives with Naruto wanting to help out people and get more field practice. Sasuke wanted the practice and a chance to see how good his skills were. Kakashi wanted to see what Naruto and Sasuke could do and he had been out voted so he may as well have gone with them.

Naruto noticed something off as he smelt something strange. It seemed like a human and also incredibly bloody. While in mid-step, Naruto swung his arm at whatever it was, and a long tentacle came from his arm before it was cleaved in half by whoever was on the tree he attacked.

"GET DOWN!" yelled Kakashi as he tackled Tazuna. Naruto and Sasuke quickly followed as a massive cleaver flew over their heads. A tall and noticeably muscular man with light grayish skin, short spiky black hair, dark brown eyes, and almost nonexistent eyebrows landed on the sword.

"Well, well, if it isn't Momochi Zabuza. I have been expecting you to come," said Kakashi as he looked up at the attacker.

"And if it isn't the infamous Copy Ninja, Hatake Kakashi," replied Zabuza as he looked down from his perch. "And you seem to have an interesting little Genin, no wonder the Demon Brothers failed."

"Let's cut the talk and get straight to the battle," said Kakashi as he lifted his headband to reveal the hidden Sharingan. Zabuza release a wave of bloodlust as he leapt with his sword down to the small lake. He got into a quick pose with left arm pointing up with two fingers and his other hand right in front of his mouth.

"Hidden mist Jutsu," said Zabuza as a large amount of mist began to appear from where he stood. Kakashi looked around before flaring his chakra, dispersing the mist and seeing Zabuza with his sword drawn in between Naruto, Sasuke, and Tazuna. Zabuza quickly swung his blade as Naruto's own blade appeared to block the attack. Zabuza was significantly stronger than Naruto as he was being pushed back before Kakashi impaled Zabuza with a kunai.

The Zabuza broke into water as another appeared behind Kakashi and cut Kakashi in half. The Kakashi similarly broke into water as another appeared behind Zabuza. "Don't move," said Kakashi as he pulled a kunai at his neck. Kakashi pulled back his hand killing Zabuza until it burst into water again and another Zabuza was behind Kakashi yet again. Zabuza swung his blade and Kakashi ducked beneath it only to be met by a foot knocking him back.

The two went back and forth as they fought in a close quarters fight. Zabuza got the upper hand and was about to swing his blade down on Kakashi until he had to move it to block a beam of chakra. He moved his sword to see Naruto with his sniper out. Zabuza didn't have any time to think of it as Kakashi took the opening and punched Zabuza in the stomach. As Zabuza held his stomach in pain he had to jump away as six small fire balls went flying at him.

Zabuza jumped back to the lake as Kakashi quickly followed. When Kakashi touched the surface of the lake, he realized that something was wrong. His worries were proven correct as Zabuza sped through hand seals before sticking out a hand. "Water prison Jutsu!" Kakashi was caught inside a large orb of water as Zabuza had his hand inside the orb to maintain it. Zabuza went through more hand seals and several more Zabuza formed from water came out. "Wate clone Jutsu!"

The clones all charged Naruto, Sasuke, and Tazuna. Naruto shot his rifle at one of them, but the clone dodged as Naruto switched out his sniper for his assault rifle as he shot out a spray of bullets. Sasuke sped through hand seals and shot out a fire ball destroying several of the clones. More clones came and Naruto pulled out his blades. Long in his right hand, medium in his left, and small in his mouth.

One of the clones swung down at Naruto as he ducked and stabbed it with his longer sword. Another clone met its fate from Naruto's medium sized blade when they tried to sneak up on Naruto. Naruto soon flipped over another clone and his knife shot out with a tentacle and burst it. Naruto's blades dissapeared as his tentacles manifested from his limbs. Normally, Naruto would be getting beat but the water clones were weak enough for him to fight off with his tentacles.

Sasuke was performing similarly as he was using his batons to beat back the clones. One clone slashed at his head, but Sasuke ducked and hit it in the stomach before leaping up into the air and hitting two clones with the tips of his batons. A clone who had gotten thrown by Naruto flew over his head and burst one that was sneaking up on him. Several more clones all surrounded Sasuke as he began to weave hand signs. Sasuke took a deap breath before shooting out a large cloud of fire as the clones were wiped away.

"Sasuke, defend Tazuna from the clones! I'm going to save Kakashi!" yelled Naruto as he usedh is tentacles to swing from tree to tree.

"Right!" responded Sasuke as he jumped back closer to Tazuna. Naruto positioned himself above Zabuza and Kakashi as he aimed his newly made antimatter cannon and fired out a glowing orb right in front of Zabuza. Zabuza only had enough time to ask what the glowing white orb in front of him was before it detonated. Zabuza was thrown into a tree and Kakashi fell out of the water prison as he gasped for breath.

"Thanks Naruto, but now you go and watch the bridge builder. I got it from here," said Kakashi as he calmed his breath and stood back up.

"As if, you damn m-"

"-onkey," finished Kakashi as he watched Zabuza stagger back up. "Are you copying me?" Zabuza's eyes widened in shock as he was about to say that.

"Grr, stop playing these pa-"

"-arlour tricks you monkey," finished Kakashi again as Zabuza's eyes widened even more. "You say monkey a lot.

"That's it, I'm going to finish this in one attack!" yelled Zabuza as he began going through hand seals. Kakashi began going through the same seals as Zabuza watched on in shock as Kakashi managed to do every seal perfectly and at the same speed. Right before he could finish the jutsu, he saw another him standing behind Kakashi making Zabuza freeze in fear. Kakashi took the moment and finished the jutsu creating a massive wave that slammed Zabuza into a tree.

Kakashi walked to finish the job but a few senbon needles hit Zabuza in the neck. "Thank you for assisting me in catching Momochi Zabuza," said the monotone voice a mist hunter ninja. "Now, I need to take away the body for analysis." Kakashi just gave a nod before collapsing once the hunter left.
