Rain Falls in Alabasta!
Alabasta, Alubarna
After witnessing the explosion from the sky and Pell's sacrifice to save Alubarna, it got the Straw Hat pirates, the Marines, the rebels, and the royal army got caught of the overwhelming blast of shock wave as they were hit with, forced to shield themselves while some of the guards and the rebel army were sent flying. The windows were shattered, some of the buildings were destroyed, and the rubble were sent flying into the sky.
Vivi widen her eyes with her mouth covered in horror and dread, witnessing Pell's death. She couldn't believe that Pell was willing to risk his life for saving Alabasta. Alabasta was saved from the timebomb, but the cost of losing Pell.
'Pell...' Vivi mentally thought when her eyes are filling in tears.
The Straw Hat pirates have also witnessed of Pell's sacrifice and it left them completely shocked.
"He's gone..." Sanji muttered in horror.
Zoro, Ivan, Shanise, and Anna remained silent in respond while Nami widens her eyes in dread.
"He...saved us all." Nami said.
Usopp groans, pulling himself up when he noticed both the rebels and the royal army stopped fighting which it got his eyes widen in horror. Chopper, Ivan, and Shanise also looked at the group of soldiers with shock, which they knew what was about to happen. Both the royal guards and the rebels slowly pulled themselves up.
"This...can't be happening!?" Usopp exclaims.
"I was afraid this would happen. The rebels and the royal army are losing their sanity, up to the breaking point of killing each other." Anna muttered. "And it's already starting to get worse because they forget what they're fighting for."
"They're going to massacre each other." Shanise adds, finished her sentence.
And apparently, both Anna and Shanise were right when one of the rebel army raised his weapon. Tashigi noticed this, seeing the group of soldiers were a bloody mess and their eyes were blank white.
"Stop it!" Tashigi shouts. "All of you, are you out of your mind?!"
And just as Tashigi was about to stop them, one of the Marines intervened by restraining her.
"Sergent, no!"
With that, the rebels and the royal army let out their war cries as they clashed their weapons once more. Tashigi and the Marines were shocked that the group of soldiers are still fighting, even if they're heavily wounded and exhausted. She even remembered of what Smoker have told her.
'Tashigi, I need you to keep a vigilant eye on this country and where it ends up. Whether it falls or whether it survives, the dawn of a brand new in historic age is on the horizon.'
The Straw Hat pirates and the Marines are watching the fight between the rebels and the royal army, watching them killing each other in cold blood and without remorse. Gunfire and cannon fire were heard from the distance which it got Tashigi realize what Smoker have warned her about this country and the war.
'Madness...Why aren't they stopping...?!' Tashigi mentally exclaims with dread.
The Straw Hat pirates continued to watch the bloodshed, but what got their attention was that Vivi shouting at the top of her lungs, yelling at the group of soldiers. Vivi kept yelling and pleading them to stop fighting, but those words fell deaf and continued the fight. Nami couldn't help but feeling sympathy towards her, while the other Straw Hat members felt the same.
"Vivi..." Zoro muttered.
Vivi kept pleading them to stop fighting, but the group of soldiers wasn't able to listen because they're still fighting. Nami bit her lower lip and her eyes are filling up in tears, feeling helpless since she can only stand and watch Vivi pleading for her people to stop fighting.
"You fool." Nami whimpered, then turns to her crew as she pushes Sanji and Zoro in order for them to stop the rebellion. "You dolts! Why are you just standing there?! Get your rears in gear! It doesn't matter how! Just stop the rebellion!"
"How?!" Ivan shouts. "We can't do anything and it's pointless to stop the rebellion now!"
"But we're gotta keep the casualties as long as we possibly can!" Nami shouts back.
"Nami, there's nothing we can do!" Anna shouts her name. "We can't stop the rebellion if we wanted to! Ventus, Ace, and Luffy are still trying to beat Crocodile to God knows where they are! All we can do now is hope Luffy and the others beat Crocodile!"
Nami doesn't want to hear it from the ranger or liking her remark, but she makes a point since they can't stop the rebellion even if they tried because of the sanity in their minds were lost. All they can do is watch Vivi pleading the group of soldiers to stop fighting.
At the royal tomb, the structure of the tomb is getting worse by the minute when the rubble keeps tumbling down. Luffy, Ventus, and Ace were able to fend off against Crocodile, who's heavily wounded in between deep cut wounds and burnt marks. Crocodile couldn't even use his Devil fruit powers because of Luffy's feet and fists were covered in blood while both Ace and Ventus turns the sand into glass with flames. That doesn't stop Crocodile for achieving his ambitions to rule Alabasta after the bomb go off.
"At last, my time has finally arrived." Crocodile said with a sinister laugh. "The day my grand ambition is realized. Alabasta now belongs to me."
"Is that so? Then how come I can still hear the people at town square?" Ventus questions with a smirk. "The rebellion is still on, along with my crewmates."
"What?!" Crocodile exclaims in disbelief. "This can't be! How?! How we're you able to hear so far away when you're here in the tomb?!"
"Being a dragon has its traits." Ace states with a smirk. "Ventus has a good sense of hearing because of the dragon trait. Even after what he said, guess you didn't get what you wanted."
"And because of that, your plans of using a timebomb to destroy the town square and Alubarna has gone up in smoke." Ventus adds.
Crocodile couldn't help but scowl at Ace and Ventus, didn't believe that the people at the town square are still alive because of Pell pulling the time bomb out of the clock tower and flew up in the sky, but he sacrificed himself to save Alubarna. Now, his plan to rule Alabasta has been foiled because of the Straw Hat pirates.
"No matter, I can still kill all three you, including the king and rule Alabasta." Crocodile states with a smirk. "Even if I have to kill the entire soldiers at the town square and the pirates with my own hands. And when that happens, I will rule Alabasta as their new ruler."
Luffy, Ace, and Ventus scowled at the Warlord of the Seas remark and his resolve, not liking the idea of having the people or the Straw Hat pirates getting killed by the hands of Crocodile. Ventus' eyes dilated into a dragon along with his teeth turns sharp, starting to grow enraged.
"Crocodile...I won't let you get away with this..." Ventus growled in his dragonic tone. "...I'm going to kill you..."
Luffy and Ace noticed that Ventus is getting angry when he used his Blood of the Dragon, but the rubber Captain remembered of the explanation from Nami about his dragon rage. He now realized why Nami gives his crew a certain explanation and a warning not to get on the young Dragoons bad side. And by the looks of it, Crocodile made one fatal mistake.
"Crocodile, you can't defeat us!?" Luffy growled with a glare, turns to Crocodile. "We're still going to kick your ass!"
"You've managed to hurt me and that's all you come up with? I suppose it's an acceptable bluff from the three of you who's about to die." Crocodile mocks, turned towards the three. "But of course, like any bluff, it's empty air."
"Except, I'm the man who'll be King of the Pirates." Luffy declared.
"And we won't let you get in our away for achieving our goals!" Ventus adds. "Our first obstacle is you, Crocodile!"
Crocodile didn't like their remark with a glare, but he smirks.
"Listen up, you damn brats, it you really knew anything about this sea, you wouldn't make such an idiotic statement." Crocodile told them. "I told you before, there are thousands of rookies, just you. Every one of them chasing their naive little dreams. The sooner you'll understand the true level of-"
"YOU JUST SHUT UP!?" Ventus interrupts with a yell, charging after Crocodile. "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT THE GRAND LINE! I WON'T REST UNTIL MY UNCLES ARE FOUND, AND I'M GOING TO KILL THEM AFTER WHAT THEY DID TO MY PARENTS!? Chaos Thrust"
Ventus then delivers a multiple thrust at Crocodile, jabbing him with his lance which it got the Warlord of the Seas grunted in pain.
"Raiden Thrust" Ventus then channels his lance with lightning and then thrust right towards his shoulder, sent Crocodile flying while electrocuted him as he crashed against the ground. "AND GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO TELL US ABOUT THE GRAND LINE AND OUR DREAMS, YOU BASTARD?! ALL YOU EVER DID IS STAY YOUR SORRY ASS IN ALABASTA AND LET YOUR CRONIES DO ALL YOUR DIRTY WORK FOR ALL THESE YEARS UNTIL YOU WAITED TO MAKE IT WORK!?"
Luffy and Ace can tell that Ventus is starting to get enraged and had enough of Crocodile's mockery. Crocodile pulled himself up while feeling the numbness of electricity, getting angry as he charges after the young Dragoon with his poison hook ready. Luffy then managed to get in front of him as he blocks the hook by placing his foot next to it, slamming it down to the ground and destroyed the poisoned hook which it got Crocodile shocked.
"Saint Elmo's Fire" Ace then hurls his long lance made out of fire right towards Crocodile, burning him.
"Dragoon Thunderbolt" Ventus then channels his lance with lightning, delivers three thunder strikes at Crocodile and then delivers a lightning thrust, sent him flying right towards the wall.
"We're the ones who's going to beat you." Luffy growls.
"And you won't get your way." Ace adds with a scowl.
Luffy then lets out a war cry as he delivers a Gum-Gum: Pistol, punching him right in the sternum. Crocodile grunts in pain while coughing out in blood from his mouth, Luffy then delivers a heel kick right in the jaws, sent him flying. Luffy then leaps in midair as he stretches his arm, delivering a hammer fight in the jaws, slamming Crocodile down to the ground with sheer force.
Luffy then grabs Crocodile by the collar while lands on the ground, pulling him back and then sent him crashing against the rubble while dodged the fallen rubble.
"It's over, Crocodile! You've lost!" Ventus shouts. "You're finished!"
Crocodile pulled himself up with a grunt in pain, felt that he underestimated the three. He's aware of Ace's reputation as one of the Whitebeard pirates, but he never realizes that Luffy's Devil fruit power and Ventus dragonic bloodline along with his lance mastery are a force to be reckon with.
'Where did those brats get their strength from?' Crocodile mentally questions when Luffy, Ace, and Ventus turns to him with determined look on their faces. He even remembered of being informed by Ms. All-Sunday and the Unluckies of Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day's defeat at Whiskey Peak before the Straw Hat pirates and Vivi were at Alabasta.
'Mr. 5's team was taking down? Who the hell did it? Monkey D. Luffy and Ventus Starwind? Never heard of them. Hmph...It must be a mistake.'
And then, he remembered of Mr. 3 informed the boss that the Straw Hat pirates and Vivi are heading towards Rainbase a few days ago which it got Crocodile furious that they're still alive.
'What?! Are you saying that they're still alive?!'
'Crocodile, sir, we've just received word those pirates have arrived.'
Crocodile growled in anger as the hidden blade revealed itself. Crocodile doesn't take kindly of being defeated by the hands of Luffy, Ace, and Ventus, especially for not getting his way since his years of planning to rule Alabasta with the rain dance powder to cause a drought and gained a favor from the people as their hero. His results of his plan went so well until the Straw Hat pirates came to Alabasta and stop him after learning of his true agenda.
"You three are just a two bit nobody who comes from who knows where!? You can't beat me! Do you have any idea who I am?!" Crocodile yelled as he leaps out of the dust and thrust his blade, causing Luffy to duck down.
"I don't care who you are, 'cause it doesn't matter...whoever you are, I WILL BEAT YOU!?" Luffy yelled in determination as he delivers an upward kick to the chin, sent Crocodile flying up towards the ceiling of the tomb which it got both Cobra and Nico Robin shocked with their eyes widen.
Crocodile was able to recover from that impact with a grunt, looking down at the three while Luffy, Ace, and Ventus looks up.
"Now fall with this ancient temple and let the desert sands bury you!" Crocodile shouts as he raises his hand. "Sables: Pesado"
Crocodile uses the Devil Fruit power to gather a swirling mass of sand from his hand, the hurls at the three which causes a massive shockwave upon the impact. That shockwave caused the structure to fall, but it doesn't stop Luffy, Ace, and Ventus. Luffy used his Devil Fruit power to inflates himself into a big balloon and twists his body around tightly, then blows the air out behind him while untwisting to fly forward while spinning towards Crocodile. Ace then used his Devil Fruit power to conjure flames from his fist while Ventus placed his lance on his back.
"Gum-Gum: Storm/Desert Spada" Crocodile forms his right hand into sand, and then hurls a sand of blades towards Luffy, but the rubber Captain delivers a barrage of punches to punch through the sand and then, unleashed a flurry of punches at Crocodile.
"Fire Fist" Ace turns his fist into flames and launches a dense column of flames right towards Crocodile, sent him flying right towards the bedrock ceiling.
Ace and Luffy continued to unleash their powerful attacks at Crocodile when the ceiling couldn't take much more of the impact of punches and flames.
"Ventus! Finish it!" Ace shouts.
"Gungnir" Ventus then summons the lance that was once used by Odin, then launches the lance right towards Crocodile.
"Flame Lance Storm"
Alubarna is starting to tremble and the series of cracks are coming from the ground, the buildings are collapsing down, and the ground rises up as it then began to erupt and the cracks were open, Crocodile was sent flying high towards the sky with Luffy's fist, Ace's flame, and Ventus' lance. Luffy then pulls his arm back while Ace extinguishes the flames. And with that, the battle is finally over.
"Amazing...they launched him straight up through the bedrock beneath the city..." Cobra muttered in complete shock.
"Incredible...they beat Crocodile..." Nico Robin adds with shock.
At the town square, the Straw Hat pirates are fighting against the group of rebels and the royal army, tried to get them to stop the rebellion when Sanji noticed Crocodile up in the sky.
"Hey, you guys! Look there!" Sanji called them when he points Crocodile, earned their attention when they noticed him up in the sky.
"Crocodile?!" The Straw Hat pirates shouts in unison with shock.
Vivi also noticed Crocodile flying in the sky, remembered of the reason why she's here in Alabasta.
'Now that this conflict is escalated, more blood will be shed throughout the kingdom. We're at war. You're trying to get me home safely, but there was no time! I need to get home as quickly as possible! If I don't make it back in time, then million innocent citizens will their lives needlessly!'
These words have echoed on Vivi's mind ever since she met the Straw Hat pirates and learning that Alabasta was at the brink of war because of Crocodile and the Baroque Works agents dirty work. And now, Vivi was completely stunned with her eyes widen after witnessing the defeat of Crocodile when he descends down with blood on his mouth, wounds and scorched marks around his body.
'Right! This should be fun, all we have to do is beat up that Crocodile guy.'
Luffy's words have echoed on Vivi's mind, and that's just how it happened when he, Ace, and Ventus defeated Crocodile.
'Luffy...Ventus...Ace...' Vivi mentally thought.
The Straw Hat pirates then stopped fighting, watching Crocodile falls toward the ground.
"I don't know how they got there in the first place, but I'm sure it can only mean one thing." Sanji said.
"I knew it!" Usopp exclaims happily. "I knew it! I never doubt it for a second! It could only mean...!
"LUFFY, VENTUS, AND ACE DID IT! THEY WON!" The Straw Hat pirates, except Zoro, cheered in unison.
However, it doesn't stop the rebels and the royal army from fighting against each other at the town square. Vivi then collapses down to the all fours, crying in tears while try to plead them to stop.
"Please, our enemy...is defeated...Don't shed any more blood..."
And then, Vivi raises her head as she yelled at the top of her lungs.
"STOP FIGHTING!? PLEASE STOP FIGHTING!?"
And then, the moisture is starting to collect from the dust devil and turns into raindrops, begins to rain down when Koza shoves the rebel and the royal soldier aside as he collapses down to the ground with the grunt.
"Koza! Hey, are you alright?!"
Koza didn't respond when his eyes were widen and noticed a single drop of rain from his hand.
"Do you see it?" Koza questions, leaving one of the rebels confused.
Suddenly, the rain begins to fall down to Alubarna. Koza recalled from his father's words years ago before forming a group of rebels to start a rebellion.
'Don't be so suspicious, Koza.'
And with those words from his father, Koza now realizes the reason why Toto wanted to stop him and not to cause the rebellion is because Crocodile wanted the rebellion to happen by causing a drought from the rain dance powder years ago. Koza then looks up to the sky.
'The rain will fall.'
And apparently, Toto was right when one of the rebels looked up at the sky and noticing the rain falls down.
"The battle...will end..." Koza muttered, clenching his hand.
"Rain..." Tashigi muttered when she and the Marines looked up at the sky while watching the rain falls down, but she then turns to the soldiers who stopped fighting and looked at the sky. 'The madness has finally stopped...They're beginning to hesitate..'
The Straw Hat pirates also noticed that the rebellion has finally stopped while the rain is clearing the dust devil and the air.
"The rain has starting to clear the air." Chopper states.
"Yes, and the madness has finally stopped." Shanise confirms with a nod.
And with that, the dust devil was cleared and the royal palace revealed itself.
"STOP FIGHTING! LISTEN TO ME!"
Both the rebels and the royal army then turned their attention to the voice of Vivi at the clock tower. The Straw Hat pirates does the same when they finally noticed the group of soldiers can hear her.
"They've heard Vivi's voice...Finally..." Nami muttered.
"But will be enough?" Anna questions.
The group of soldiers lowered their weapons when they heard her voice.
"Vivi..."
"The princess..."
"Vivi?"
"I didn't know the princess had come back..."
After the rebels and royal army muttered to each other while noticed Vivi, Crocodile falls down to the ground with loud thud while Luffy was about to crash down to the ground when Ventus grabs hold of him. Cobra widen his eyes with shock.
"Hey! Are you alright?!" Cobra shouts.
"He's unconscious after losing too much blood." Ventus told him, turns to the king. "He needs treatment."
Cobra confirms with a nod.
The rebels and the royal army noticed the unconscious Crocodile.
"Sir Crocodile? How did he get here?"
"What happen to him?!"
"Oh, so they're still calling him 'Sir Crocodile?!" Usopp growled in annoyance with white eyes and shark-like teeth. "We'll see if he's Sir Crocodile after I tell him what's what!?"
"Hold on, just stay here." Sanji suggests, stops him by grabbing his head.
Zoro then turns back to the clock tower, watching and waiting for what Vivi was about to tell them since the rebellion finally stops because of the rain.
"The rain has returned...and will fall again...as it used too." Vivi told them. "Our nightmare is over...Finally over..."
And with just like that, the war of Alabasta is finally over all thanks to Luffy, Ace, and Ventus defeated Crocodile.
"I thank you." Cobra thanked them when Luffy lets out a big grin on his face while Ace and Ventus smirked.
"No sweat." Luffy said as Cobra smiled.
