Ever since that fateful day Izuku and Mellisa trained day in and day out.

Per Nezu and Wang's orders they cleaned a local beach turned dump mostly without their Miraculous to build up their natural strength so that they wouldn't be rendered lame if they timed out mid battle.

When they were allowed to suit up they were forced to clean in unconventional ways such as having Izuku use the blade of his sword cane as a trash picker or having Mellisa use her yo-yo to wrap around the trash and compact it.

Melisa was made to use her special ability, lucky charm, at least once a day to train her mind to know how to use the randomized creation.

Conversely Izuku has only used his Akumatization ability only once when Wang and Nezu had been running late.

They used it once.

They used it once and came to the unanimous decision that they'll save it for school…… where there's…… witnesses.

On the note of Izuku's Miraculous, due to Akumatization's reliance on butterflies Izuku was given a special home butterfly farm where Izuku was made to raise special butterflies evolved to work specifically with the Butterfly Miraculous.

They were adorable little things that followed Izuku everywhere just far enough that they didn't obstruct him. Furthermore, as he grew more in tune with his miraculous the more the butterflies responded to his emotions.

However their attachment continued at school which got quickly noted and teased by his classmates, much to Izuku's embarrassment and Nooroo's silent outrage.

Even so, despite the teasing, Izuku couldn't be happier!

Not only did he frequently get to be around real pro hero and a-no the genius one at that, but he also had three new friends in the form of Wang, Mellisa and Nooroo.

Wang Jié was always pleasant to talk to. He didn't judge or berate, he didn't hit or make fun of him when he nerded out or went on a muttering spree, and he was always there to listen if Izuku needed to get anything off his chest, it was nice.

Nooroo was an amazing partner and roommate, he was always there when Izuku was down and always tried to be involved in Izuku's life when they were home.

Only real complaint was that he got Izuku hooked on coffee.

And of course there's Izuku's future partner in fighting crime Mellisa Shield.

Though he was admittedly nervous at first, he has grown to enjoy Mellisa's presence greatly. They were both skilled in each other's mother tongue albeit with Mellisa being practically fluent, a fact she jokingly teased him about.

Their friendship only grew stronger as they realized that they were both humongous nerds.

Any time they weren't training they were geeking out over heroes and support items, and the best part? She didn't think his muttering was creepy and weird, maybe a bit odd sure, but she let it be as she could tell it was just how he thought things through.

Speaking of which, Izuku was ecstatic to finally have a fellow analytical mind he could have an in-depth conversation with.

Over the year they trained together they decided to keep notes on their Miraculous such as:

-Both the LBM and the BFM appear to heighten the user's strength, speed, and endurance.

-IM has shown to be capable of supporting the weight of two frothed with just two hands and minimal exhaustion

-MS has shown to be capable of lifting a partially full garbage truck with relative ease.

-Both hero suits have a form of aerial lift with the LB suit having a Jetpack and the BF coat transforming into wings at will.

-The LB jet pack isn't very powerful so MS prefers swing around using her yo-yo

-Despite gaining wings IM's flight relies little on them, that being said flight speeds can still reach incredible heights

It was a similar story on Mellisa's end

She wasn't too star struck to meet Nezu due to already being well acquainted with many Pro's, but that being said she was still at awe at his insurmountable intelligence.

She liked hanging around Wang as he was just a cool old dude that would often recount stories of past Miraculous bearers, to call it inspirational would be an understatement.

She LOVED Tikki, she was just such a lovable and cheery little thing that is way smarter than her child innocence let on. Her favorite part was when they found out she best recharged by eating pastries, oh she treasures her fathers absolutely baffled expression.

Last but not least is her partner in fighting crime, Izuku. She loved hanging with him as he was one of her first real friends her age.

Being born and raised on a Tech Island does lead to a little isolation.

She quickly came to realize how awkward and jumpy he was and had made it her personal mission to help him feel more comfortable and confident in himself. But despite his nerves she could see a fierce determination and calculating intelligence that she had to respect.

But after all their hard work it was finally the day of the entrance exam.

UA, the school with the best hero training course in the world, the place every kid wants to go.

Sure, there are similar programs out there, but they don't hold a candle to UA's, which is why it's almost impossible to get in.

The school's alumni list is a "who's who" of idols.

All Might, the most famous pro there is.

The legendary peacekeeper, with the most wins under his belt.

The Fiery Hero: Endeavor.

Not to mention the denim‐clad, award‐winning marvel, Best Jeanist.

Graduating from U. A. is basically a requirement if you wanna be a great hero.

Mellisa and Izuku walked up to the prized school still in awe of it as Izuku's butterflies flew around gleefully.

This moment of peace was, however, soon broken as Izuku and his pupa felt a sudden spike in annoyance.

"Stupid Deku." The spiky haired Bakugo Katsuki grumbled as he bumped into the fearful greenette.

"Kacchan!"

"Get out of my way, now, before I set you on fire."

"Oh hey, g'mornin'. Um, let's just both do our best out there, okay? Good luck!"

After some other students took notice of blonde he walked away with a sudden boost in shame.

"Reminde why you admire him?"

Melissa asked as she watched the retreating figure, when she found out that the greenette was bullied for his quirklessness she became infuriated on his behalf much to his embarrassment.

"A-Actually ever since the sludge incident he's let up on me, w-which is something r-right?"

He got a deadpan stare in response.

"Look alive Midoriya, once you get in I'm sure you'll meet even more kind people." Tiki comforted as she flew out of Melissa's punch pink hoodie pocket as they continued forward.

Then he tripped, his sole thought, 'Or I'll die.'

But before he could hit the pavement he suddenly found himself suspended mid air.

"Heh. Are you okay?" A girls voice asked the greenett'e pupas fluttered close to him.

"I stopped you with my Quirk. I'm sorry I didn't ask first. But… I figured you wouldn't mind me catching you."

Isn't this all, like, way nerve‐racking?

"H-Huh, O-Oh, yeah!" The young Midoriya said as she regained the girl canceled her quirk allowing him to land back down.

"Well, guess I'll see you inside. Bye!"

Izuku just watched as she retreated, gaping in awe.

"Hey Flyboy," Mellisa said, prodding at Izuku's back.

She held up a fist with a sympathetic smile, "Pound it?"

Izuku looked at the fist and with a determined smile, "Pound it."
