The metallic whirl of a coffee machine filled the air as Izuku and Mellisa sat in Wang's living room, nervous anticipation clear on their faces.

It had been little over a week since they took the entrance exam, looking back they did pretty well, but as they had to wait, they became less and less sure of themselves. What if they just fallen a point short?

"Don't worry so much, young champions." Jié said as he brought the coffee lovers their drinks.

"Nezu said your results will be sent here within the day."

After meeting back up after the test, Izuku introduced Ochaka Uruaka to Melisa, who introduced Jiro to him.

Now they wait in painful intensipation for the results to come, their respective Kwamis doing their best to assure them.

Mellisa let out a long sigh, "I know, but this wait is killing me."

"Look at it this way, Mellisa," Tiki said as she swooped down, "the wait is like the first. You have to be patient to be a hero!"

Before the conversation could continue any further, a knock could be heard rapping against the door.

Wang opened it, revealing the titular rodent principle strutting in carrying a small grey disk, "Why hello everybody! How are you all doing today?"

"Hello Nezu, may I offer you some tea or coffee?"

"Yes, tea please, but first I have a gift for our fearsome four." Nezu proclaimed proudly.

He placed the disk down as Mellisa took a seat next to each other on the couch as Jié went to make tea in the kitchen.

"Now then, I'm proud to say that you both passed both with flying colors," He then stepped on the disk, causing a holographic screen to form showing the students' combat points, Mellisa 60, Izuku 70.

As you can see, you both got more than enough combat points to gain entrance to the hero course."

"Heck Yah!!"

"But that's not all.

You see, while we do judge based on how many villan points are accrued over the course of your exam, we also have a point system for those who put an effort into acting selflessly by spending time assisting their fellow men."

The screen then changed to show their rescue scores, Mellisa 60 Izuku 60.

"You two are well in the lead, only surpassed by the symbol of peace himself!" Nezu cheered as Wang sat his tea in front of him and the coffee in front of the two starry eyed students.

"Congratulations, you two; you've been accepted into your hero's academy.

"Class 1‐A…C'mon, where is it?"

Mellisa and Izuku were running around UAs halls as their Kwami kept pace flying beside them.

"Ah! There!"

True to her word, Mellisa was pointing at a comedically oversized door with 1A painted on it.

Man, these things are huge. Are there giants here?

"Ready Flyboy?"

"Y-Y-Heck Yeah, Tento-chan"

"Now let's just hope BoomBoom Boy and StifStick aren't he-"

"TAKE YOUR FEET OFF THAT DESK THIS INSTANT!!!"

"Huh?!!"

'Why do we even bother?'

"It's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property, you cretin!"

"You're kidding me, right?"

"Your old school put a stick up your ass? Or were you born with it?"

"Let's start over".

"I'm Tenya Iida from the Somei Private Academy!

"Somei, huh?

So you must think you're better than me!

I'm gonna have fun tearin' you a new one!"

"Excuse Me!!!!"

While this... this... spectacle unfurled, Mellisa and Izuku and their Kwami just stood in the doorway in quiet exhaustion as Izuku's butterfly circled around him defensively.

"Is it too late to change classes?" Melissa groaned as Midoriya let out a tiered sigh, which unfortunately caught the bluenette's attention.

"Huh? It's them!" The bluenette announced as he marched to the dynamic duo.

"Uh, hi?!

"Good morning! My name is Tenya Iida fro‐‐"

"Yeah, we heared." Mellisa interrupted as she placed an arm around Izuku.

"Mellisa Shield."

"I'm Izuku Midoriya!".

It's super nice to meet you.

"Tenya bided as he turned his gaze to the nervous greenette, "Midoriya. You realized that there was something more to the practical exam, didn't you? You must be very perceptive. I completely misjudged you, I admit. As a student, you're far superior to me."

"Hey!

"I recognize that messed-up hair!"

"Flying boy!"

A new voice cheered as a pink cheeked brunette entered the room,

"O-Oh Hi Uraraka! Glad to see you got in!"

Midoriya stuttered out.

"That's mainly thanks to you. Really thank you so much for the save!"

Before anything else could be said, Izuku suddenly got hit with an influx of tired annoyance.

Then it appeared in the doorway, "If you're just here to make friends, then you can pack up your stuff now."

Much to the classes uter bafflement what looked like a giant stoned caterpillar layed in the doorway.

"Welcome to UA's hero course.

It took eight seconds before you all shut up.

That's not gonna work.

Time is precious.

Rational students would understand that.

Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa.

Your teacher."

The man then unzipped what appeared to be his sleeping bag, revealing himself in an all black attire save for a white scarf around his neck.

He then pulled out from the bag gym uniforms, "Right, let's get to it. Put these on and head outside."

"Huh? A Quirk assessment test?" A student asked as they stood outside in their gym uniforms Midoriya's broach placed on his shirt.

"But orientation! We're gonna miss it!"

If you really wanna make the big leagues, you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies.

Here at UA, we're not tethered to traditions.

That means that I get to run my class however I see fit.

You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives. But you've never gotten to use your Quirks in physical exams before.

The country's still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel.

It's not rational.

One day, the Ministry of Education will learn.

"Mellisa Shield, Midoriya Izuku, from what I understand, you both are required to power up before you can use your quirk. Do it now, then I want you to go up and do the ball throw. " The teacher said, directing the last part to Izuku.

"Right!"

Curious, most of the class looked on with intrigue. That is save for Bakugou Katsuki, who looked on in pure hatred.

"Tikki!"

"Nooroo!"

Taking their cue, the Kwami flew out of their weilders pockets.

"Spots On!"

"Wings Rise!"

Izuku is shown in a purple gradient void wearing his gym uniform.

Noroo flies into the Miraculous as Izuku looks on with a determined expression.

Izuku spins wildly as giant fabric butterfly wings burst out of his back, making him hunch over.

The wings then wrap around his body, forming a tailcoat as a vest and shirt appear.

Izuku spins once more, with a purple light ring trailing down his legs as he gains formal pants and shoes.

A purple fedora with a green band appears landing on his head as Midoriya reaches up to tip it down, his hands now baring formal gloves.

He then flicks his fingers in front of his face, making a silver butterfly mask appear.

The view pulls back, showing Midoriya grabing his cane firmly.

He takes a determined pose as a large butterfly logo appears behind him.

Melissa is shown in a red gradient void in her gym uniform.

The view pulls close to her earrings as Tikki flies into them

Her hand is shown as a pink energy traverses it as her outfit is replaced with a black bodysuit.

She pounds her fist together as long red gloves over her hands as she looks on with a determined expression

Pink energy traverses her form as a red line traverses down her sides, with her midriff covered completely in red.

The magic continues to trail down, with the line continuing until just under her knees as a pair of red boots form.

The view is then brought to her back as a large round pack is formed attached to a black visor.

Melissa then holds a yo-yo that appears in her hands, which then spins around, finally striking a pose as black spots appear around the red parts of her suit as a Ladybug logo appears behind her.

Taking her cue, Mellisa began chanting, "Hey Batter Batter, Hey Batter Batter," the ball came into range. "SWING!"

Without hesitance, Izuku swung his cane at the ball, sending it so far it became but a speck in the sky.

The students stared in awe as Aizawa showed the score marked in at 690 meters.

"Oh, whoa."

"All of you need to know your maximum capabilities.

It's the most rational way of figuring out your potential as a pro hero."

Whoa, 690 meters."

"Are you kidding me?!"

"I wanna go! That looks like fun!"

"This is what I'm talkin' about, usin' our Quirks as much as we want!"

As Midoriya made his way back to the line, he suddenly took on a mortified expression as his butterflies huddled around him nervously.

"Huh, is something wrong?" Ida asked the greenette.

"So this looks fun, huh?

You have three years here to become a hero.

You think it's all going to be games and play time?

Idiots.

Today you'll compete in eight physical tests to gauge your potential.

Whoever comes in last has none, and will be expelled immediately."

"Huh?"

"Immediate expulsion?"

"Eight tests?"

"Oh, crap. Not good."

"Like I said, I get to decide how this class runs. Understand?

If that's a problem, you can head home right now."

"You can't send people home! I mean, that has to be illegal!" Melissa shouted in disbelief

Even if it wasn't the first day, that isn't fair!" Uruaka raged in agreement.

"Oh, and you think natural disasters are?

Or power‐hungry villains? Hm?

Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities?

No, the world is full of unfairness.

It's a hero's job to try to combat that unfairness.

If you wanna be a pro, you're gonna have to push yourself to the brink.

For the next three years, UA will throw one terrible hardship after another at you.

While everyone else was shocked but determined, Melisa was instead in a state of silent fury, looking between the raggedy man and Izuku, thinking to herself, 'What does this hobo know about unfairness'

"Now then.

We're just wasting time by talking.

Let the games begin."

The first test was a 50 meter dash in which Mellisa and Izuku came in 4th and 3rd place, respectively. Mellisa used the miraculous speed enhancement while Izuku flew.

Next was the grip test, which they came in third and fourth again, though this time with Mellisa being the one in third.

This was generally the same for the rest of the test leading up to the softball throw.

Once there, Melisa took a page out of her physics books and spun the ball around her yo-yo, using preserved momentum to launch the ball a fair distance away, not anywhere near BoomBoom or Flyboy, but good enough.

At the end, they were shown their results.
