"Oh and by the way I was lying about the expulsion."
A good half a minute of silence had blanketed the area as nearly every student stared at their teacher with looks ranging from stupid shock and righteous fury. Only two figures stood out amongst them, a tall girl who looked at her classmates in confusion and the teacher that met the students gaze with one of his on as if taunting them as a cheshire smile crept across his face, "It was a logical deception to ensure you'd give your all in the test."
"……"WHAT!!!!!!"
"Not Manly Dude!"
"What The Hell!"
"Ya Wanna Die Hobo!"
"Aizawa Sensei, Is It Not Dangerous To Set A Precedent Of Lies And Deception With Your Students!"
Meanwhile, in the back of the crowd, a ponytailed girl whispered to herself, "I thought it was obvious." She looked out to the crowd of enraged students, "Maybe I should have said something." She then saw several quirks activate in anger, "Maybe not."
Mellisa for her part stepped over to Izuku leaning over whispering in indignation, "why didn't you say anything to me!" Izuku just whispered with a hitched voice, "I didn't pick up on anything."
That's it. We're done for the day. Pick up a syllabus in the classroom. All of you read it over before tomorrow morning. Ashido‐‐Take this and go have the old lady fix you up. Things are gonna be tougher tomorrow when your actual training begins. Make sure you're prepared.
And with that, the students went off to the locker rooms as tension simmered down and even talked about how they did. One student thought couldn't relax as he kept a hardened gaze fixated on the detransforming Miraculous user. Fourth place, right behind the damn nerd, how? 'How!?'
He remembered it like it was yesterday.
The old hag had called in a way too upbeat tone, "Katsuki! Katsuki! Get down here!!" 'what does she want now'
He had just got down the stairs when he was rushed by his parents holding up a white envelope,' wait is that..'
"Katsuki, It's Here!"
Not missing a beat he quickly snatched the envelope from his mother's hands slamming it down on the table as he quickly sat down at the table tearing open the envelope, which the old hag chided him for, from the envelope fell a small grey disk which began to light up as a projection was produced and a familiar voice was heard.
"Booya! I am here as a projection now!"
No, Fucking, Way!
"You're looking at the newest UA faculty member! ALL MIGHT!!! Now then you passed the written test with an above-average grade so good job on that, however, there is more! You got 77 combat points in the practical exam, the highest among your peers!"
'Ha! Knew I'd be number one; those extras won't even stand a chance!'
"Landing you the number three spot in the rankings, no small feet my boy!"
'What! How!'
"You see there were other factors being judged, this is hero school after all and combat is only one part of being a hero, a panel of judges watched, and they awarded points for heroic acts beyond just fighting villains."
No, No, NO! This couldn't be happening!
"Unfortunately, with your admirable focus on the enemies at hand, you didn't commit any heroic acts that would qualify you for rescue points. But fret not for that is what you are here for! To become the best hero you can be!"
A panel was displayed showing those in the top 10.
And when Katsuki and his parent saw who was number one… he about broke
"So have no fear, for you have passed the exam.
Welcome, Katsuki Bakugou, You have made it. You're now a part of the hero ACADEMIA!!"
Top 3 Scores
3: Katsuki Bakugou

1: Izuku Midoriya
He confronted the damn nerd the next day ready to rip him to shreds for cheating just to mock him.
The bastard had been cowering as those stupid butterflies that always hovered around him began to fly closer. He raised his hand, explosions ready, when suddenly, "Norro, Wings Rise!" before he could question what the hell that meant he was blinded by a flash of purple light.
Instinctively he let out a larger explosion than intended, but as the light and smoke cleared instead of being a charred nerd Deku was dressed in a purple suit with a grey mask and cane, perfectly fine.
No, Fucking, Way!
"What The Hell Deku!!! How Did Yo-"
"I've had this for a year, Kachan! I-I've had it for a year… but I knew how'd you react s-so I kept it secret." He took a steady breath, "Norro WIngs Fall," A purple flash engulfed him as he returned to normal as a tiny purple imp floated next to him leveling a steady glare. "This is Norro. They are the embodiment of my power." He took a deep breath steadying himself, "And they believe in me! Bu-But you never have! And I see now that you never will! I Will Be A Hero! Like It Or Not!"
He's gonna put that useless nerd in his place and when he does, he's gonna squash him like the bug he is.
After being dismissed for the day Mellisa and Deku walked out together, the former of whom was highly pissed off, "I mean seriously who does this guy think he is? The freakin patron saint of heroism?"
Midoriya gave his friend a fond smile knowing she was more angry on his behalf, "I mean it turned out well in the end right? And besides, he did say it was just a logical deception right?"
"But that's what's got me concerned, I mean you said that you got no indications that he was lying when he made the threat right?" Mellisa rebutted.
Midoriya had to admit that was concerning, while Nooroo did give him the power of empathy he was still a novice of using. That being said he and Mellisa had practiced with picking up lies over the past year and yet when Aizawa sensei threatened them with expulsion he picked up on nothing. Maybe he was just overwhelmed by his classmates' fears?
"Ah, there you two are!" The miraculous duo was interrupted by a familiar authoritative voice. Tenya Iida.
"I wanted to apologize once more for my misjudgment of you Midoriya, both your demonstration today and your actions in the entrance exam prove your place here." He said while flapping his hands around robotically.
"Oh, uh, thanks! But honestly, I just didn't want Uraraka to get hurt, I didn't know about rescue points and just hoped I had enough villain points when the test was over. Midoriya replied bashfully as Mellisa nodded in agreement, "Same here."
Iida stared at the two in shock for a moment before falling into a deep bow, "Incredible, it seems I was even more mistaken than I thought. Truly you two are already proving to be my superiors.
"Hey, everyone has to start somewhere right? Just stop taking everything so seriously and just try to stop and smell the roses, as we say back home. I mean my dad owns a multibillion-dollar company and he isn't afraid to relax so don't go thinking you have to." Mellisa said as she gave the overzealous boy a fond smile.
Iida for his part was rather shocked at Mellisa's response, but after a short ponder realized that she had a point, " Perhaps you're right, I suppose my nerves have been getting to me. But even so, shouldn't we all be trying to achieve our best?" This time Midoriya butted in "Of course but no one can be perfect, even those in the top 10 have missed an attack or burped in an interview."
Hmm, I suppose." Iida relented.
"If only our teacher understood that," Mellisa said with a bitter tone.
Iida nodded in response, sighing, "I must concede I'm a bit concerned by our teacher's approach, but I trust the school's judgment, even so, such blank lies are downright immoral."
"Hey Hey, You Guys!" A new voice cut in. The three turned to face the source who was none other than Ochaco Uraraka herself. You guys heading to the station?" They nod, "Cool mind if I come? Oh actually real quick let me see if I got this right, Shield Mellisa obviously, Iida Tenya, and Deku right? Midoriya." This caused the miraculous duo to blanch, Flyboy from shock, and Bug girl from trying not to laugh her ass off. "D-D-DEKU!?!" "Yeah? That's what I heard that Bakugou guy say whenever you did a test."
"Oh, Kachan w-well that's actually what he says t-to make fun of me."
.
.
.
.
"Oh."
"Well, that's just plain bad sportsmanship."
Nooroo and Tikki then flew out of their masters' pockets, "And we're their quirks!"
"I'm the Kwami Tikki!"
"And I'm the Kwami Nooroo!"
Uraraka almost immediately began to squeal as soon as she saw the two Kwamis. Even Iida gave a soft smile at the sight.
"Sentient quirks Ey? And completely detached, quite unique. Well, it's nice to meet you two."
They then proceeded to walk to the train station, all significantly more relaxed than before. Little did they know that the real test had yet to come.
And the first test?
Normal classes!
Despite being taught by pro heroes the classes were honestly pretty boring with Modern Hero Art History being the sole exception due to the teacher's interesting choice in attire, which got all but two, Bakugou and a red and white-haired student named Shoto Todoroki, to turn lobster red.
Eventually, though they made it to the Pièce de résistance, Hero Studies.
"So who do you think's going to teach this class?" Mellisa asked Izuku as they waited for class to begin. "Not sure, but knowing UA's track record I'm sure they'll be great." He replied cheerfully.
.
.
.
"I AM HERE COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!!!" The number one hero announced as he leaned through the door in an over-the-top manner. As he marched to the desk the students began to eagerly talk amongst themselves
"I can't believe it, it's really All Might!"
"So he really is a teacher!"
"Kero, is he wearing his Silver Age costume?"
One student, though, had a more extreme reaction, "Uncle Might!" Mellisa cheered as she practically flew to the number one hero hugging him upon impact much to her classmates' shock.
"Woah!"
"That takes some serious guts"
"I've heard Americans were more touchy but that's insane!"
However much to the class's surprise the number one hero had a very different reaction, "HAHAHAHA My Dear Melisa It's Good To See You!"
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to be a teacher?"
"Hmm, Why Didn't You Tell Me You Were Going To Be A Student?"
"...Touche"
Noticing the classes bewildered expressions AllMight explains, "I'm A Family Friend To The Shield's, But Worry Not For My Many Years As The Top Pro Hero Have Made Me More Than Capable Of Separating My Personal Biases From My Actual Work, You Will All Be My Students, All Equal In My Eye. Now With That Said Your First Class Will Be… BATTLE TRIALS!!!" This got the class siked up, none more so than Bakugou himself, who was grinning a killer's smile, while Midoriya looked like he was praying to every god he could think of. "But First, The Most Important Part Of Being A Hero Is Looking Like One!" All Might said as costume cases popped out of the wall with the click of a button.
Hoisting their cases as they walked to the locker rooms The Miraculous duo readied themselves for what was to come, "Ready FlyBoy?" "Ready, pound it?" Midoriya asked as he made a fist, "Pound it!"
Author's Note
So been a hot minute since the last chapter, I hope it's worth the wait. Not to much happened in this but it's all needed to set up the next one.
If it wasn't obvious before Mellisa has replaced Sato, sorry to all the Sato stans out there. But don't worry he may be gone but he hasn't been forgotten.
I tried to do something new for this chapter writing wise and I hope you all like it.
I've also decided to take more leanincy with how this compares to canon, mostly because anime and manga don't transfer to normal writing well and the fact that at this point in the story I'm fairly certain that Horikoshi hadn't figured his he wanted the characters to be just yet, thus Momo's cold attitude to her classmates, Midoriya's buttmonkey position, and Bakugou's… everything. So I hope you like it!
Roboman
I'm glad I stuck with this fic. The first few chapters were a bit rough, but the writing has improved dramatically since then. It's still not exactly what I'd call great, but the difference between the earlier chapters and later ones is quite noticeable.
That said, I do have a couple problems. First is the dialog layout. For some reason you add a line space after seemingly every sentence, even when it's the same person speaking. Usually line spaces only happen when someone stops speaking, in order to indicate someone else taking over (there are exeptions to this though, typically when someone talks for an extended period such as a speech).
The second problem I have is acually very minor, but why do you just copy-paste the transformation sequence every time? It's not really necessary, especially since you can just go back and reread it from the first time it happens. Also it kinda hurts the flow of the story. I know the show does the exact same thing, but there are things you can get away with in a tv show that just doesn't translate well to a written format. But, like I said, a very minor problem, and it's easy enough to just skip down to where it ends.
I wonder when villain!Cat is going to show up. I assume they're going to be a (canon) MHA character and I already have my suspisions on who it might be, though my guesses might be a little too obvious.
Ok first off I'd just like to thank you so much for your feedback, it's a tough pill to swallow but one of the reasons I'm so insistent on people leaving reviews is that I want these kinds of responses so thank you so much.
On to your first point, yeah my earlier stuff is not good. But if I may speak in my defense, most of the time I'm writing this on my phone's google docs app so there's that. I also tended to use transcripts as a base since I just began writing like this this year, but with the transcript wiki being shut down I was forced to indicate, arguably for the better.
For the transformations, I'll be honest I just like having them. That being said I'll try to do them less and save them for when something is majorly different.
As for our mangy feline, if it's the obvious choice then you sir may just be the winner! But if they have the cat then the question becomes, who has the peacock?

I'm pretty sure the butterfly/moth miraculous is based on transformation, you know how butterflies start out as caterpillars go through a metamorphosis and become a cocoon, and then go through another metamorphosis and eventually become a butterfly/moth. Although metamorphosis may be an alternative name for the concept of the miraculouss moth
True, but I believe empowerment works better for what I have in mind for it.
