Chapter 3 : A Spoilt Brat, Seaweed and A Sacrificial Lamb Walk Into A Bar
Sorry, For the Shortness of the Chapter.
…..
Percy awoke to the feel of the sun shining down on his face. He was exhausted from cleaning his room and setting up the bunk bed against the wall opposite from his bed he had even put masking tape on the ground to separate the areas of each others stuff like Chiron had done after the many territorial "you stole my stuff" fights between the Aphrodite Cabin.
Lying in his bed all he could think was the sun was shining, the apartment wasn't on fire, his adopted siblings were arriving and his mum was …..
'MUM"S GETTING BACK TODAY, SHIT'. Shooting up from the bed he bolted to the kitchen and looked around wincing at the sight
There was a pancake on the ceiling and there was dried batter dripping down the counters. The microwave door was hanging off the hinge from when he was heating up the leftovers in a metal salad bowl. I mean people should tell you that metal makes microwaves go all wonky.
A blinking light caught Percy's attention from the lounge coming from the telephone walking over. He pressed the button to listen to the voice message for the phone call he had missed.
A lady's voice chimed out of the speaker "You have one message left at 3:45am"
"Hey sweetie, everything is going alright. The paperwork is all signed and we've reached LAX and we should board the plane to New York at 8am and should be at home by 11:30."
Cool, I have time to clean the kitchen. The sound of the front door opening sounded through the apartment.
Looking over at the clock Percy saw the hands of the clock tick to 11:28
Shit!

The plane was not something that Harry liked. Being confined in the air was completely different than on a broom. This is a big metal death trap that I want to get out of… immediately.
Unfortunately for Harry, he could not exactly just summon his broom and go out the plane door. For multiple reasons, the first being that the broom wont get inside without opening the door and doing that will only make everything fly everywhere. One, with so much pressure from the wind, Harry is unsure his broom will even make it to him. Two, he could not do shit in the presence of muggles. Three, he doesn't want his aunt to know just yet. So that idea is out the door, unlike Harry, who will be staying put in his seat.
The green eyed teen absentmindedly looks out the window, trying not to think about this metal death trap that he's in. It was a few minutes later that something caught Harry's eye. It was white and blended in with the clouds so it was hard to see. Yet once he recognised it, Harry's mouth and eyes went wide open in his shock.
Swerving between the clouds is a snow white owl. Now this would be a comforting gesture if not for the look Harry is on the receiving end of. The narrow eyes of Hedwig promise pain and suffering. The messy haired teenager shivers, and looks away, dreading his fate. He'd rather face Hermione crying than the fate that awaited him.
Harry quickly looked back at the seat in front of him, hoping that if he looked away that Hedwig would go away. He sat frozen, hands stuck to the arm rests and green eyes not blinking. His eyes flickered to the window, to see that Hedwig had disappeared. Then Harry heard the static of the pilot's radio announcement.
"Passengers, this is your captain speaking. If you look to your left you'll see an owl challenging us to a race. So sit back and fasten your seat belts cause we're going for a ride."
All the adult passengers seemed confused, wondering what the hell the pilot was going on about. The sparse children that were on the flight looked excited, vibrating in their seats. To be fair, they were going to race an owl on an airplane.
Between all the chaos, there was a dark haired, green eyed teenager trying to disappear into his seat, with a larger boy looking at him in confused disbelief.
After landing, everyone could see a regal looking owl sitting on the nose of the plane and two stunned pilots looking straight at the white creature.

Getting off the plane and finding their luggage was a blur for Harry, half due to being in a different country and the other surprised that Hedwig had the audacity to actually win.
Though he did remember Sally ushering them toward a yellow car shooting both of them glances of concern.

Walking her apartment Sally could hear the DUN DUN DUN sound ringing in her head as she saw Percy standing in the lounge looking like a stunned mullet, his eyes slowly flicking over to the kitchen.
Sally sighed before looking at Percy
"Do you want me to turn around and look"
Percy quickly gave a hurried and loud "NO"
"Okay then"
Sally replied as she picked up her suitcase and turned to the boys standing behind her. "We're going to go unpack our stuff and Percy is going to get the kitchen in order" before walking towards the bedrooms.
The two British teens followed her dutifully leaving their cousin behind scratching his head obviously not knowing where to start.
The guardian of now three teenagers, sighed and kept leading the boys to their shared room. Opening the door, she stepped in the middle gesturing to the room saying, "This is where you boys will all be sleeping so no fighting".
Her face changed from almost stern to a soft almost embarrassed look. "I-I know it's not much, and it'll be cramped for a while until we get a bigger place. I promise sharing won't be forever."
Brown eyes looked down for but a second before gazing straight into theirs, the surety in her eyes, proving to them that this was the case.
Harry nodded at her. Dudley looked at her in confusion, he hadn't seen anyone promising something like this before. His cousin elbowed him in the stomach.
"This is fine aunt Sally."
The older women smiled a slightly watery smile before squeezing both of them on the shoulder, Harry winced slightly. She then showed her two new charges where the bathroom and all the essentials are.
"I'll let you settle in. Call or come get me if you need something." She waited for them to acknowledge what she said before disappearing through a door, leaving the boys standing there awkwardly side-eyeing each other.
…..
"So…" Percy began before trailing off while rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet
"I'm Percy, 15, I like blue foods, long walks on the beaches and insulting my uncles and cousins"
"Is this an AA meeting? Dudley said in confused voice "because this is how people spoke at my mothers AA meeting"
"Or Uncle Vernon's Grindr profile," Harry muttered under his breath.
"What, no I'm just trying to break the tension in the room" Percy explained
Percy looked Dudley up and Down before turning to speak to Harry "So you must be the one related to me" before nodding at Dudley "and that would make you the cousin by marriage."
Harry gave a nervous chuckle "I'm Harry, the cousin by marriage and that's Dudley, your cousin".
Dudley's head was going back and forth looking at Percy then looking back at Harry before speaking " I can see how that mistake could happen, you both look similar".
All Percy could think was, could we be related on the fathers side.
