Cunning and ruthless brought Mouse and Nyanko together. Nyanko could respect the girl's passion but she knew, even as she conversed with Mouse, she didn't have her drive.
A pity her truest rival had to go out so soon. Crow and Seiren were just annoyances compared to the intelligence of Mouse.
But Nyanko had a mission. And staying on course meant letting others go who stood only to hinder it. Nyanko knew she was Galaxia's real hope.
At least she thought, until the consequences of her mind conflicted, rained down on her. And her mind, absurdly perhaps, conjured an image of Mouse standing alone. And in her final moments thought, at least she'd be joining her.
