Many years passed...

Atlantis

Azura Curry

Age: 15

The young princess was sleeping peacefully in her beautiful bed in her underwater kingdom. Then she woke up to the sound of her bedroom door knocking and opening.

"Azura?" said her father, Aquaman as he swam to her bed side. "It's time to get up. Do you know what day it is?"

Suddenly, Azura opened her eyes, jolted out of bed, and she swam and laughed happily all over her room.

"YES!!" Azura cried out. "Of course I do, Father! I just can't wait!"

Aquaman laughed. "I'm excited, too. It's not everyday that a Princess of Atlantis gets to join Young Justice".

Azura smiled. Ever since she was young, her parents hired the best warrior trainers in Atlantis, and they trained her on both land and sea. So that the time will come for Azura to be ready and become a new member of Young Justice.

And also, when she was born, she inherited her mother's power to move, and shape water. So Mera taught her how to focus and control and her water powers as Azura grew up.

Even though she didn't get her father's ability to communicate with sea creatures, she loves and cares for them deeply in every way just like him. Big or small.

Then Azura swam to her closet and grabbed a purple and teal-blue suit. "Turn around, please?".

Aquaman turned around to give his daughter privacy as she put on her Atlantian suit.

"Okay", she called out. And her father turned around and saw his daughter looking beautiful in her Atlantian suit. The teal-blue sparkled on her boots, v-collar, belt, and gloves, the purple glimmered on the rest of her suit, and the golden Atlantian symbol on her belt shimmered in the light.

Azura's strawberry blonde hair was tied into a French braid on the top, and the rest of it was let loose. Flowing freely.

"Wow!" said Aquaman

"Wow, indeed!" said Mera as she swam in. "But it's missing one more thing".

Mera clapped her hands twice, and one of the royal guards came in and handed her a beautiful and mighty silver trident. Azura gasped happily.

"Are you sure, Mera?" asked Aquaman.

"Our daughter is ready, Arthur", replied Mera. "Not as a Princess of Atlantis, but as a humble, Atlantian warrior".

When she handed Azura the silver trident, she swam towards her parents and said, "I may be Princess and a warrior of Atlantis down here, Mother".

"But up there...

"I am Tsunami of Young Justice!!"

She made a pose as she crouched down on the floor, and holding her trident behind her back.

"Tsunami", said Aquaman. "I like that, it's catchy". Mera chuckled.

"And it suits my powers", Azura replied.

Suddenly, Aquaman's Justice League communicator went off. It was time!

So the royal family swam out of Azura's room, down the hallway to the left, and headed down outside to the courtyard, where their ship was ready for them to head to the surface, and fly to Mount Justice.

"Are well all set, Tsunami?" her father asked with a smile.

"Yes, Father!" said Azura "But I gotta be honest with you two. I'm really nervous". She was holding onto her brand new trident tightly in her hands.

"Aww. It's alright, honey", Mera said as she gave her a hug. "Just be the best you can be. Inside and out."

"And besides", said Aquaman. "Jon, Athena, Harry, Damian, Nora, and Henry will be at Mount Justice with their parents, too."

"Wait, you're coming with me?", Azura asked. "But-but I thought that I all had to go to Mount Justice alone?"

"Who told you that, Azura?" asked Aquaman.

"Damian. He said that having our parents take us there for our first day will only get in our way. Make us lose our focus, and just cause trouble for us when we go out and fight."

Then Aquaman and Mera started laughing.

"What's so funny?" Azura asked.

"Let me tell you something about Robin, honey", said Aquaman. "Most of the things he says to you and the kids are just coming out Batman's mouth. So don't let his big, grumpy, tough-guy talk make you think that you don't need us anymore".

"Exactly", said Mera. "Just because you're fighting crime for the first time, doesn't mean that your family is a distraction. We'll just simply watch you from a good distance and support you every step of the way."

"Thanks, Mother. Thanks, Father", said Azura. She felt much better now knowing that her family is coming with her to Mount Justice for the first time.

"Your Majesty's. Your Highness", said the ship's pilot, floating outside the ship's doors. "We are all set to head for the surface".

"Thank you, captain", said Mera. And she swam into the ship.

"Ready, Azura?" her father asked.

Azura took a deep breath. "Yes, Father".

So Aquaman held onto his daughter's hand, and they swam into the ship. And they took off, flew out of Atlantis, and headed for the surface. Straight for Mount Justice.

Tsunami: Warrior Princess of Atlantis was on her way to become a hero.
