Gotham City
Damian Wayne
Age: 13
As usual, a gloomy and gray morning woke up the people in the most crime-ridden city in the world. The good, the innocent, the guilty, and the bad.
Including the evil.
There is no other city that's so filthy and griddy than Gotham itself.
But despite its bad reputation, Gotham has been watched over and protected for quite some time by none other than the billionaire Bruce Wayne.
Who is secretly...
Batman!
But over the years, one at a time, he's had some help from loyal sidekicks: the Robins.
The 1st Robin was Dick Grayson. Who later became: Nightwing.
The 2nd Robin was Jason Todd. But later became the ruthless vigilante: Red Hood.
And the 3rd Robin was Tim Drake. But eventually couldn't be Robin anymore. So he became: Red Robin.
Batman was proud and thankful to have great sidekicks that had his back, solved mysteries, and helped him fight crime.
And now, in the Batcave, deep below Wayne Manor. Someone was doing his daily fighting sessions. It was Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne's biological son. But he never knew he existed until several months ago, for it was his mother, Talia al Ghul who kept him a secret.
Years ago, she spent one night with Bruce, and she drugged him into making love with her, which lead to the birth of their son. And she raised Damian in the ways of the League of Assassins. Lead by his grandfather, Ra's al Ghul. An old enemy of Batman.
He found out about him after Ra's was killed, and Talia sent her son to him for safety. And soon after, Damian came to an understanding from his father that he can't fight crime by becoming a criminal. So he decided to stay with him and take his fighting skills to good use.
And Damian Wayne became the new and 4th Robin!
Then, an British man in a suit came into the Batcave's training room. It was Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce's family butler and friend. "Master, Damian. It is time for your trip to Mount Justice with your father".
Damian stopped his sessions, and as he left the room, he looked grumpy and gave a loud "Hmph!"
"Oh, come now, Master Damian", said Alfred as he followed him to the Batmobile. "You know that your father wants you to be on your best behavior when you arrive there. And your friends will be there as well, especially the young twins. So don't give any of them a hard time. It is their first day, after all".
"Ugh! Don't remind me, Pennyworth", Damian said as Alfred handed him his utility belt. And he put on his mask, and he was already wearing his Robin outfit. "But just to clear things up...
"They are NOT my friends! Not even the baby speedsters. They are all part of a team that I am going to lead, which will count as giving them hard times, by the way. And yet, they still think that fighting crime will be playtime for them.
"They always want to play. And I do not play!"
"You are clearly missing out on the most important part of childhood, Master Damian: The joys of fun", Alfred said.
"I don't do 'Fun', either", Damian replied.
Then, Damian arrived to the Batmobile, where his father was waiting for him in the driver's seat.
"Are you all set?" asked Batman.
"Yes", Damian answered as he hopped in. "But just to straighten things out, Father. I'm only going to Mount Justice to put some discipline into Athena, Jon, Harry, Azura, and the twins' heads. That way they'll finally see that getting the job done in a fight is important, not goofing off and acting like children".
Damian then rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
"You do have a point, Damian", said Batman. "They do need to learn the importance of fighting crime. But that doesn't mean that it's not your job to be their parent. They already have those who with that job. So do I."
"Indeed, sir", said Alfred as he handed Damian a lunchbag for his trip. "And besides, Master Damian. Azura and Athena are older than you".
"Whatever", said Damian as he grabbed his lunchbag. "And I don't think that their parents will be there, anyway."
"What do you mean by that?" Batman asked as he started the Batmobile.
"I told them that they should go to Mount Justice alone".
"Why?"
"Because the Justice League will only get in their way. They'll cause trouble for them and do nothing but distract us when we go out and fight".
"One thing's for sure, Master Damian. Is that the Justice League will be there," Alfred said. "And another thing. Family is never a distraction, and you know it. You agree, right, sir?"
"Yes, Alfred," replied Batman. "Always".
"Suit yourselves", said Damian as he put on his seat belt.
And with that, the Batmobile took off and left the Batcave. On their way to Mount Justice.
Robin: the Boy Wonder is determined to straighten out his team through hard work when their time to fighting crime will come.
