Bella's POV

He'd lied. They had Lied. I had listened to every word Eris had said and still a large part of me revolted at the idea, saying she was lying. That I loved Edward and his family, they would never do those things, but she even said I would feel and think those things because I was going through withdrawal. It made too much sense to be a lie even though my body attempted to physically reject the idea . leaning over the toilet after hurling up the little I was able to eat today I couldn't stop thinking.

He had even said everything about a vampire was designed to draw in humans, and that a vampire's breath can make a person more agreeable, but I never questioned him. Every time he wanted to be close to me, sleeping next to me was not out of love and wanting to be near me but a plan to get as much of that sickly sweet scent in my system. The dizziness and nauseous at the beginning of our relationship, then it was when I was away from him for longer than 24 hours.

Had they all been in it, Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper a hurricane of unwanted thoughts and feelings were building up like I was about to explode or implode but my body could decide which to do. Eris' words were replayed over and over.

"Vampires' breath if exposed for long periods of time has a drug-like effect on humans, It can't take complete control away from the human; it just makes it extremely hard to deny that vampire anything asked. And just like a drug when one goes without it you have withdraws, depression, weight loss, mood swings, insomnia, nightmares, suicidal thought, delusions. Also just like a drug addiction the human will do anything to keep the vampire in there life or slowly die"

Everything about his world that he told me was a half truth or lies. it was all lies.

"There are some humans who know of vampires and will remain human till the end of their life, they of course are watched to make sure the secret is not outed but that's done with almost every supernatural race who gets approved to tell a human from their ruling power. And never without good reasons like family relations or needed for employees. How else did you think no one has ever caught something supernatural on video."

Eris had a theory on why Edward would do this and it was frightening how much scenes it made and it all came down to the second Edward realized he could read my thoughts. And it was backed by that it was Edward who sucked out the venom after James bit me. That also revealed another lie I was told that made me dry heave into the toilet. I was still hunched over. Vampire Venom could not be removed.

" From what you have told me Edward gifts is like a radio he picks up the surface thoughts of those around him but you're on different frequency so he can't get anything from you, and like a radio he should be able to turn it on and off but he chooses not to. All gifts can be turned on and off; it just takes practice and control because having a gift on all the time can put the Vampire at risk so Edward is using you as a cheat so he doesn't have to learn control."

At times I wonder why Jasper and Alice could control when they used their gifts and how when I asked Edward anything related to gifts he'd brush it off or change the subject. Then more time came to mind when I asked questions and he got that pinched face look and changed the subject, and I had just dropped it even if I really wanted to know.

" If a Vampire gets a human addicted to their scent and deprives them of it for a short time, then turns that human the new vampire will be unnaturally attached and unable to disobey their sire, even if the new vampire fines their mate they would fall second in priority to their sire. Which is not natural for vampires, and very illegal due to that and eventually the Vampire who was turned will slowly go insane or worse.

Vampires cannot have a human mate, to take a mate is a choice and the bond can only be made between Vampires, not even other supernatural races can truly be a mate to a vampire.

All vampires have basic instincts that are deeply ingrained into them, and no matter how human or civil they act it all comes down to those base instincts. Feed, Mate, Hide. Vampires are also possessive, violent, and relentless when one of those base instincts are endangered.

When you were bitten by James it put Edward in a bind because James venom was overriding his scent addiction. So by rebitting you to "suck out" the venom was a lie it was a quick fix to replace James Venom with his, it was too late James's Venom is permanently in your system."

He was trying to make me a slave, an obedient slave that would listen and so whatever he said. The worst part was I already was acting like he was worth everything and it made me sick to realize that I didn't notice or a part of me already didn't care because i would have Edward with me, but that wasn't me talking it was the addiction and i don't think i'm strong enough to stop, not that it matters. The last part Eris Told me was the final nail in my coffin and what had me running to the bathroom to have this breakdown, Once venom was introduced in your system you could not remain human.

" Izzy, I know this is a lot to take in especially with a part of you denying this, but there is one more thing you have to know. Your chance at staying human ended when James bit you, Vampire venom is relentless. It will slowly change you even if its just a drop once its in your system it will go through your body it will slowly change you but is painfully slow do to the small amount."

Eris's POV

I stood outside the bathroom listening to Izzy having a breakdown trying to come to terms with all that had happened. I wanted to take a flamethrower to that whole twisted family. But that wouldn't help at this point, so giving Izzy the space she needs right now I left to go make a phone call to someone who could help and give Izzy some choices back.

I met Caius seven years ago when I became head of the research team looking into the medical properties of exotic plants. I had no idea that the owner of the private pharmaceutical company that was heading the research was a vampire and wouldn't have but my previous knowledge of the wolf shifters in forks and my now fiancee and then boyfriend who is a lycan, i would have had to be blind and stupied not to see what Caius was.

It was first meeting with the team and director to set up the course of the research and the places where we would start, when he had come in to see who he was funding and we both realized i knew what he was, then i found out i was the only human on the team due to my partner in the project being half Faye and the director being full Faye. It was an interesting meeting to say the least.

I liked Caius, he by no means was a nice person and he didn't pretend to be, was direct and didn't give on his principles. we became Friends fast after finding out we both liked causing chaos and giving Aro headaches, and I loved his wife Athenodora who was probably the only person who could match Caius' temper. He picked up before the first ring was done.

"What has happened"

It was clipped and rushed, someone was fighting with the spouse again. It was not bad, he and Athenodora flirted by fighting and it gets heated fast and they hated interruptions. But he does hate the Cullen's so maybe he wouldn't be too angry with me at least not for long.

" I need your help with something personal and time is very short. How fast o you think you can get your team to Louisiana"

"What would I get out of this, I am quite busy and no small favor will be needed to pull me away now."

" How about the entire Cullen's coven on a silver platter, and the best part is not even Aro can save them this time. They would fall under your rule completely"

"Tell me everything."

The excitement in his voice was easily heard and I could already see the twisted smirk he wears when he is planning some more of the unpleasant punishments he favored. I gave the cliff notes version for now knowing Caius was not one for drawn out explanations.

" I will be there with Rena and Jones by tomorrow afternoon" Then the line disconnected.

( Note: i have lost my inspiration for this story, but as i hate uncompleted stories i will finish it. Maybe i will get re inspired as i go. Also i never planned or are planning to pair Bella with anyone. Sorry to all the shippers out there, this is not the story. )
