"So this is Lumiose City! It's pretty nice, we should go sightseeing."Max and his friends arrived in Kalos 10 minutes ago and made their way to lumiose.
"I know what you mean, I can't wait to go shopping." Misty exclaimed, putting her hands together in excitement.
"We don't have time for that now, we need to register for the tournament." Gary stated while looking at Misty and Max who looked kinda guilty.
"I agree with Gary, you guess don't wanna be late and not make the tournament at all." Tracey added.
"Well I know I'm ready, and I'm going to win it all. The whole world will know I'm the perfect trainer and when the ladies get a sight of my good looks, they'll be all over me." Drew said, flickering his hair. Misty and Max sweat a bit at the statement while Gary nods in agreement. Few minutes later they arrived at the center, after everyone with the exception of Tracey registered for the tournament they turned around and was about to leave, but in a flash Trip ran pass them without acknowledgement. Dawn and Iris soon followed after, they then spotted the group.
"What's the matter with him?" Misty asked with concern in her voice.
"He had a battle with someone and it didn't turn out well. His Darmanitan was hurt badly." Iris answered while looking at Trip talking to Nurse Joy
"Trip is also not doing that well either, he lost in two moves without landing a hit plus he had a type advantage." Dawn added.
"Dawn!" The bluenette turned to see her childhood friend approach them with Cilan right behind. They both noticed the concern on her and Iris' faces. "What's the matter with you girls?"
"Apparently Trip got himself in a battle with a trainer and lost in two hits." Gary explained.
"I'm utterly surprised," Cilan said. "Someone as strong as Trip beaten so easily is unheard of." the connoisseur finished.
"I don't think it's the loss that upsets him, but who he lost to." the dragon master said.
"Well who was it? Who did Trip battle Iris?" Max asked out of curiosity. Max was a little worried, Trip, Gary, Misty Iris, Dawn, Cilan and himself were around equal strength and if someone can beat Trip this easily he had every right to worry. Dawn and Iris looked away from the group. Max was about to ask again until Trip approached them.
"It was Paul." Trip answered gritting his teeth and clenching his fist. Saying everyone but Dawn and Iris was surprised is an understatement. No one in the group has seen Paul for 6 years since the incident, and out of the blow he beats Trip. Trip decided to explain more. "We were on our way to the Lumiose gym to battle the gym leader and we ran into him. He'd asked us where we were headed and even though we didn't answer he figured it out himself, he then started spouting crap like how we couldn't beat the gym leader because we're weak and he trained her. After that I said a couple things about him and Ash and we ended up battling and well you know the rest."
"Well I'm going to prove him wrong," everyone turned to Max as he continues, " He said we can't beat his precious gym leader, I say we go beat them and then Paul is next." Max said with confidence.
"You can count me in." Iris said
"I would like to witness this as well if you don't mind." Cilan said.
"I'll tag along as well, if I can discover a new challenge, mine as well tackle it head on." Gary joined in. Max looked at Trip who gave him a nod signifying he would join. Then he turned to the rest of the Group.
"Sorry Max, but I want to go check out the mall." Misty then turned to Dawn, " Do you want to join Dawn, it would be nice if we can hang out for once." she asked the bluenette.
"Sure I don't mind and plus I love the mall." Dawn answered, "Kenny, Drew what are you going to do?" she asked the male coordinators.
"We would like to join you ladies if it's not too much of a bother." Drew answered
"I wanted to check out the city as well, so I'll join you too." Kenny said.
"So we'll split up and meet back here around 8P.M. alright guys." Gary said, gaining a nod and some thumbs from the group. They then split up and went separate ways.
