Meanwhile at the Lumiose Mall, Dawn, Kenny, Drew, and Misty went to shop for some Kalos clothing that may be useful with coordinating competitions.
"Have any of you competed in a contest in Kalos before?" Misty asked her coordinator companions.
"Not yet, I do plan too while we're here but I should look the part." replied the green haired coordinator.
"How many outfits could you possibly buy for a contest? Geez the only person I know who shops more than you is.." Dawn commentited before being cut off by an enraged Drew.
"Don't ever compare me to that failure of a coordinator, she chose to follow the loser himself and now I bet she's nothing more than a…" then Drew was also cut off, but by a photographer who tapped him on the shoulder from behind.
"Excuse me, do you know where I can find the Hoenn, Sinnoh, or Kalos queens, I heard that they were around here?" the photographer asked the now confused teenagers.
"Excuse me but what are these queens you're talking about?" asked Dawn.
"You mean don't know," the photographer asked, receiving a no from the four teens, "the queens are the four strongest female trainer in the world that resides in Kalos, they're all coordinators and performers that traveled the world competing in contests and performances and came out on top at the end. They are champions not only in contests, but also regional leagues." The news about four strong coordinators in Kalos got the group extremely curious, some thrilled, but one enraged.
"The strongest women in the world? Well obviously your sources haven't heard of me, I'm Misty Waterflower the strongest elite four member of Kanto and I'm going to win this tournament to prove that I am the world's strongest trainer." the hot headed trainer yelled.
"And your source was wrong about something else, none of those queens are better than me when it comes to contest, after all I'm Drew La'rose the best coordinator from Hoenn and in the world, and I'll prove it by beating the Hoenn queen even though it might not be that much of a challenge." the green haired coordinator stated with a flip of his hair.
"Well I for one would love to meet them, they may be able to help me in future contests." Dawn added.
"So let's go look for them, I for one wouldn't mind battling one of them and proving I'm the best at what I do." Kenny finished
The photographer then requested "Well if you all are the competition that the crowd should be looking forward to then do you mind if I take a picture of you all for the news."
"Not at all and please get my good side, oh what am I saying, their all good sides." Drew said with a cocky grin on his face. As the photographer to a picture of the group, they then headed off looking for the four queens.
Meanwhile, in a black limousine three trainers sat amongst each other. "Hey bro, you should check the news, it looks like there are some strong trainers competing in the tournament." a blonde boy with glasses stated.
"Well I kind of expected that it would be boring otherwise, but I don't need to waste time reading a story on it." a raven haired trainer replied.
"Hun you might actually want to check the news, I promise you this isn't a waste of time." the third, lavender haired, trainer stated. As the champion in the Limo read the story on the news, the Pokemon on his shoulder looked at his trainer with mixed feelings.
"Pika?" the yellow mouse asked, his trainer then looked at him with a smile on his face.
"That's right buddy, we're going there." the raven haired trainer responded.
"Hey bro, what about Bonnie? I thought we were going to pick her up." the near sighted trainer asked.
"Don't worry about Bonnie, if I know any better she's already on her way." the champion stated. The limo then changed its course and began heading towards the Lumiose Mall.
Back at Lumiose Mall
The group of four were headed towards the mall when they noticed a crowd outside the building, in front of the crowd they noticed a Beautifly and Mothim, but there was another butterfly Pokemon there, they didn't seem to recognize so Dawn decided to pull out her pokedex.
"Vivillon the Scale Pokemon, The patterns on this Pokémon's wings depend on the climate and topography of its habitat. It scatters colorful scales."
"It must be a native of Kalos, I've never seen one but it's very beautiful." Dawn said in awe.
"Vivillon use sleep powder!" said a female voice.
"Beautifly sweet scent!" said another voice which caused Drew, Dawn and Misty to react. Kenny gave the three a confused look until he heard the third voice.
"Mothim use poison powder please!" said the last voice causing Kenny and Dawn to react again. The three butterflies flew around releasing different colors of powders in their trail awaiting their next command.
"Beautifly now use psychic on all the powder." the first trainer commanded. Beautifly did as it was told and took control of the three moves combining them making them form a three color layer rainbow star.
"Mothim now use psybeam on the star!" the third voice said
"Solar beam at the star as well Vivillon!" The first voice commanded as both the bug types fired their attack at the star and when it landed the star powder turned to sparks like fireworks while covering the sky in glitter.
"Beautiful" Misty said with her hands clasped together admiring the performance.
"Yeah but it's strange, the first voice that commanded the Beautifly…" Drew started.
"Now that you mention it, I recognized it as well." Misty added.
"I did as well and I recognized the last voices too, it sounded like May and.." Dawn said
"Zoey." Kenny finished "but why would they be here in Kalos?" before anyone could answer, three shadows approached them unnoticed.
"Why won't you ask them yourselves?" The group of traitors turned to see three beautiful women standing in front of them, one had orange hair with a ponytail with a Mothim with dark red eyes, she wore white long-sleeves with blue skinny jeans. Next to her was a brunette with bangs on the side of her hair with a Beautifly on top, she had sapphire eyes and she wore a light blue short sleeve shirt with a navy blue mini skirt the last girl with the Vivillon on her head had honey short honey-blonde hair with a pink hat and sapphire blue eyes as well, she wore a bright pink dress, and red waistcoat on the side, and last she had black stockings with brown Mary Jane boots.
"Zoey, how have you been? And May why are you here with Zoey?" Dawn asked confusingly to her former friends.
"Why wouldn't we be here, we live here and we have our rep as the four queens to uphold." May answered.
"From what I've heard the four queens are supposed to be the best coordinators in the world, but now that I know it's you it's clear you guys are nothing but jokes afterall I can beat all of you, do you know why? Because I'm the best coordinator alive." Drew said arrogantly. But to his surprise May nor Zoey wasn't phased.
"Hmm, cabbage like hair, short, and arrogant.. I take it you must be Drew?" said a third member of queens approaching the former friends.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Drew asked in an uninterested tone.
"Well if you must know, my name is Serena and I'm also a coordinator just like May and Zoey." the honey-blonde finished.
"You're a coordinator? Looks more like a wannabe to me. If you want some tips, I would be happy to offer my services to a pretty lady like yourself." Drew offered flicking his hair.
"No thanks, I don't need help from people below me." Serena replied back causing Drew to clench his fist.
"Well if you are so good, how about a battle that way I can put you in your place and I can do the same for you too May to remind you of who's top dog."
"No thanks it wouldn't be a battle, just a waste of time. Especially if I know the results." May responded making Drew's anger flare up more. May then turned her head and noticed the blue haired coordinator with the penguin. "Hey Dawn hope you've been feeling alright, you look lost in thought."
Dawn snapped out of thought and turned her attention to the brunette. "Oh, I'm fine just been thinking.."
"About Ash?" May finished. Before Dawn could've answered Kenny interrupted.
"No way Dawn is thinking about Ash, especially after he'd hurt her." Kenny yelled but his anger died down when he felt glares from the three queens.
"HE HURT HER?!" May yelled at the brunette male, "IF I RECALL YOU GUYS BETRAYED HIM, AND NOW YOU HAVE THE GULL TO ACT LIKE THE VICTIM?!" May finished. She breathed in for a bit to calm down and turned her head to Drew. "I will battle you tomorrow Drew so meet me at the gym, and you will regret your past decision." She finished aiming for the last part at Dawn.
Drew's anger then turned into pride as he scuffed. "I understand, you're afraid aren't you but why shouldn't you be? After I did beat you multiple times in the past and you think a few years of not seeing each other would change anything?" the green hair coordinator finished. "After all, why wouldn't you be afraid of the perfection of both beauty and power? Let's start the battle now, I don't have time to waste on a light weight woman like you. Flygon, prepare for the show." May faced Drew with an annoying but determined look but before she could reach for her pokeball.
"AURA SPHERE!" the male voice commanded, a blue energy ball then collided against the ground causing Drew and the Flygon to jerk back in shock. Tears then began to emerge from Dawn's eyes.
"T-That voice," Dawn started.
"IT'S ASHY/ASH!" Serena and May said simultaneously with hearts in their eyes, holding both their hands to their chest. As the smoke from the dust cloud cleared, everybody saw a lucario standing next to a pikachu who was resting on his trainers shoulder who was wearing black short sleeve pokeball designed hoodie with the bottom half white and navy blue sleeves, black pants and shoes, black fingerless gloves and a black and white pokeball cap.
"Well if it isn't the failed trainer himself." Drew said arrogantly, calling back his dragon. Dawn had gotten a hold of herself and wiped away her tears, Kenny noticed Dawn had a smile on her face and was slightly blushing. He gritted his teeth with annoyance.
"What are you doing here anyways Ash? Don't tell me you're here to try and take place in this tournament, after all this tournament is meant for the strong." Kenny taunted. Ash turned his head to the male coordinator and gave him a smirk.
"Then why are you here?" Ash replied, Kenny clenched his fist with anger at the remark. But before Ash could say anymore, he was tackled to the ground by May and Serena who proceeded to cover his face with kisses, and as this was going on Glaceon and Sylveon popped out their balls and jumped on Pikachu licking his cheeks. Now it was Drew who was clenching his fist, and Dawn's joyful expression dropped to a depressed one due to her wishing that she was the one jumping on Ash.
"You know Ash I was just about to prove to May how I was superior to her, but I'd prefer to prove myself against you." the green haired trainer said.
"First of all, May has nothing to prove from fighting against a spoiled brat. Second of all, there's no point in fighting you, I get more of a challenge from my daily exercises." Ash responded causing the cabbage head to sneer at him, Ash then turned his head towards Misty and Dawn. "Misty I've heard you became part of the Kanto elite, congrats."
Misty gave him a confident grin. "Thanks for the compliment, it fills me with joy to know you understand where your place beneath me is. If you want I can train you to become a better trainer. I'm not going to lie, Ash, you're an amazing trainer, you just need help."
Ash ignored her offer and looked at Dawn. He noticed she was wavering for some reason, so he used his aura to read her mind then smirked. "Dawn I've missed you." Dawn's face began to turn red as if she were a fire type.
"Thanks Ash, I've missed you too." Dawn said, feeling completely flustered. 'What's wrong with me, I haven't felt this way until I started hearing about Ash again, what's happening?' Once again Kenny noticed Dawn's reaction, he finally snapped.
"You know what, I wanna show you how much of a failure you really are Ash." Ash was about to answer before.
"You don't have any right to battle Ash!" said the girl skating on a skateboard. She had a blonde ponytail, she wore a sleeveless white and red shirt with black sport shorts. She landed right beside Ash and wrapped him in a hug, which Ash returned before breaking away and looking at Kenny. "My name is Korrina and if you don't mind, I will battle you."
"And why should I battle a nobody like you?" a smug Kenny responded.
"That's a shame, I would've thought it would be an honor for someone to battle a member of the Kalos elite 4." the blonde said, surprising the formers. Kenny saw this as an opportunity to prove his strength and show off to Dawn.
"Sure and when I beat you, I'm going after Ash next." The coordinator finished reaching for his pokeball. "Floatzel time to shine." Kenny then released a large orange furred sea weasel with a floatation.
"Hawlucha time to rumble." Korrina yelled, releasing her Pokemon which was a bipedal bird-like Pokémon with colorful plumage. Its head curves into a beak-shape in the front, but its mouth is located in a white patch under the beak's curve.
Kenny was eyeing Hawlucha while he was in thought, 'if she's really part of the elite 4 that means I can't take any chances. I got it!' "Floatzel use growl."
"I see you're trying to weaken Hawlucha, but it won't work." Korrina taunted. Floatzel released a wave of sound towards the wrestling bird who stood there flexing. Then Hawlucha was covered in a blue light, but it didn't even look bothered.
"Now Floatzel use aqua jet!" Kenny commanded.
"Zel, zel!" Floatzel launched himself at Hawlucha covered in a veil of water.
"Hawlucha dual-chop go!" Korrina yelled.
"Lucha!" Hawlucha launched itself to meet floatzel half way, when they met in the center, Hawlucha hands started to glow green and then swung both his hands at the weasel causing a huge explosion. Floatzel was sent flying across the field into the building wall with swirls in his eyes.
"Looks like your plan didn't work." the blonde said in a victorious grin. Dawn, Misty and Drew were speechless, while Kenny was clenching his fist and gritting his teeth in anger.
"That was faster than expected, you are getting stronger everyday Korrina. I'm proud of you." Ash complimented wrapping his hands around the blonde's waist. May then wrapped herself around Ash's arm.
"Hey Ash don't forget about me, I want you to help me prepare for my warm up against Drew tomorrow." May commented as Drew gritted his teeth at her remark about their match being a warm up.
"Hey Ash can you help me as well, I need your help a lot too." Serena pouted while grabbing onto Ash's other arm. Ash looked at Serena with curiosity on his face.
"Who are you supposed to be battling?" the raven haired trainer asked. Kenny began to get even angrier
"Did they just completely forget that we're here, I didn't come all the way out here to be humiliated." the brunette male said to Drew.
"It's too late for that, from what I saw you would've been better off just staying home and performing in the circus like you always do." Paul said with Bonnie walking next to him approaching the group.
"Hi, big brother." the young blonde ran towards Ash and gave him a hug. Kenny glared at Paul for his remark.
"You calling me a clown?" Kenny asked furiated.
"Well considering your a living joke I believed that the title fit a little too perfectly for you." Paul smirked at the enraged brunette. Paul then approached Zoey and greeted her with a kiss. Dawn smiled at the sight of the couple.
"Zoey you two are a thing!?" Dawn asked her distant friend.
"Well you know Dawn, I always had a thing for strong men." Zoey said while putting her arms around Paul.
"Plus she's the only one who can put a leash on me." Paul added.
'All the people I knew are being brave and saying what they feel, why didn't I when I had the chance?' Dawn thought to herself feeling upset with her past decisions. A moment later Iris, Gary and Cilan soon arrived out of breath, Iris then perked her head up looking for the blonde gym leader.
"Where's Bonnie?! I need to pay her back for.." Iris paused when her eye's laid on Bonnie but to her surprise the person standing next to her none other than Ash. Gary and Cilan was just as surprised. "Is that Ash?" the dragon master asked with a hint of shock in her voice.
"Well well well, isn't it Ashy-boy, It's been a while." the young oak said.
"Gary, Iris, Cilan."Ash said, then noticed Iris glaring at Bonnie, he then turned his head to the little blonde with a questionable look. "What exactly did you do to them?" he asked, quaking an eyebrow.
"Nothing much, some trainer named Max had the gull to talk about you and big sister May, so I decided to correct his mistake." Bonnie answered.
"Of course, you get quite the temper when someone talks about your friends, though I can't blame you." said a new voice. Everyone turned to see Anabel stepping out of the limousine that Ash was in. Anabel's hair was long and was tied into a ponytail with a black stripe. She wears a black suit, shoes, gloves, and a necktie with a white shirt underneath. As a member of international police, she has a communication device in her ear. After she stepped out of the limo Clement stepped out as well. Clement was wearing shiny black shoes, black jeans, a black turtleneck shirt and a lab coat.
"Although I can't blame you Bonnie, many people would've done the same thing in your position. It's only logical to defend those you cherish." Clement said to his little sister. Ash's old companions were surprised by the sight of so many people siding with the trainer that they doubted in the past. May decided to speak up and break the silence from the tension between everybody.
"Drew, if you want to battle then we'll arrange the battle at the lumiose gym tomorrow morning at 10, if you want to back down then I won't judge you. I can't think less of you then I already do anyways." May said towards the green haired coordinator. May walked away from the group and into the limousine.
"You heard her, we'll see you all tomorrow. Hopefully all the negativity you all have for Ash will fade as well." Clement said while pushing his round glasses closer to his face. He then followed May into the limo with Ash looking in Dawn's direction with a smile.
"I can't wait to see you again Dawn. I hope you'll be at the gym tomorrow." the raven haired teen said to the bluenette before entering the limo with the rest of the group, driving away. Dawn looked towards the ground with tears of joy and hope in her eyes.
"You too Ash." the bluenette whispered to herself.
"Anabel would you be kind enough to join me for a walk?" Ash asked the lavender hair trainer. Anabel blushed at the request before nodding. "Great, May, can you watch Pikachu for me?" Ash asked, getting a nod from the Hoenn queen. So everyone went their separate ways and Ash escorted Anabel to route 6, after 15 mins of walking Ash stopped walking and then looked up at the stars, and then back at Anabel. "There are two reasons I requested this walk Anabel." Ash started.
"Let me guess, you noticed how Dawn's feelings were fluctuating? I noticed it as well." Anabel finished. Ash gave her a nod then Anabel released a sigh. "You're such a tease, do you know that? I was hoping you would want to spend some time with me." she said disappointed, the raven hair trainer then wrapped his arms around Anabel's waist and brought her closer.
"I said two reasons." Ash said, bringing his lips to hers and Anabel returning the kiss. Anabel wrapped her hands around Ash's neck to bring him close to deepen the kiss. Ash shoved his tongue in her mouth causing her to moan. After three minutes they broke apart out of breath. Ash then decided to break the silence. "So I was thinking we would try to recruit Dawn, when I felt her emotions, she was heartbroken, I think she regretted her actions, but I don't know how to go about it." Ash said.
Anabel put her hand under her chin in a thinking pose before responding. "Well, I think May would be the most helpful to deal with Dawn. After all you taught both of them about Pokemon and they're both coordinators, plus before all this happened they were practically sisters. If anyone can convince her, it's May." the lavender haired trainer said. Ash gave her a warm smile then a nod in agreement before engaging in a kiss again, which she happily reciprocated.
