A/N: Hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. I recommend listening to each song that goes along with the parts of the chapters. Then listen to the sound Kingdom Dance/Eleanor Rigby/Flying Theme (Test Drive) at the end of the last part of each section. Now onto Eleanor Rigby - Part 1! P.S. Sorry about some inconsistencies, I lost the original outline of the story with all the small details. ~ Moon

After the blood-curdling scream, the reception broke out into chaos. There were spells flying, people running about, and screams rang out. It was absolute chaos. Hermione was separated from Viktor and was forced to move with the crowd the best she could while fighting to look for Ron or Harry.

This was just like last time, it terrified her. So many people were injured that night, at least from what she heard. She just hoped she would be able to get to Ron or Harry in time to get them out of the fray and to where they would be able to defend themselves better.

To Hermione's luck, she was able to find Harry quickly. He was dueling with a Death Eater, well former per se. She couldn't tell who it was due to them being glamored and heavily cloaked. Hermione unsheathed her wand and joined in the duel. She slashed and flicked her wand as wildly as she could to shield and send back spells as fast as she could against the onslaught of curses the Death Eater was firing at them.

Soon another joined in on the duel. Hermione felt another body press against her back. She risked a glance and saw a head with fiery red hair and a tall lanky body. She couldn't help but smile as she, Harry, and Ron formed a triangle, shielding one another's backs from any surprise attacks. It felt good but also horrible to be having to duel like this again. But at least she knew she was safe, to an extent, with both of her best friends at her back.

Soon the dueling seemed to be over as what was left of the remaining Death Eaters suddenly disappeared. Everyone who was engaged in a duel awkwardly stopped and looked around cautiously with confusion. It was over almost as soon as it began. Just like what had happened when the Burrow was attacked and at Bill and Fleur's wedding.

Cautiously everyone who was left in the tent cautiously made their way outside. The remaining Weasley family members along with the Aurors were standing outside in a defensive position waiting to see if there would be another attack or ambush. The trio joined the group.

Seemingly what was left of the Order of the Phoenix was right. A few Death Eaters were lying in wait to attack what was remaining of the Order. Soon another mass dueling began. It was a mixture of different colors that no one could see clearly enough to counter only to block and shield.

Once again everyone was almost back to back so none of the others could get the jump on them. But at this time the Death Eaters had planned a strategy that would soon break up the ones who had their backs protected. They were determined to get vengeance for their fallen master once and for all.

Using the Order's and whoever stayed magic against them, the Death Eaters were able to force the group apart to have individual duels. They had gotten stronger since the end of the war. Everyone had been dabbling more and more in the dark arts and was willing to do anything to avenge their Dark Lord. Even if it meant certain capture.

They had sent subtle warnings through the injured owls that they were sure no one would get, but now they would know and be reminded that their presence was always close by and those who thought they were safe would always be in danger. To those who were still dark, it felt good to be back in these practices. They would not show their real identities until those who were dubbed the "Golden Trio" were the last ones standing. Everyone wanted to make sure that they saw their faces so they would know that Dark triumphed over the Light once and for all.

Hermione had just defeated the one she was dueling with. She did not stop to look at who it was when the glamor had faded. She wasn't sure if he was stunned, knocked out, or dead. At this moment she could care less as she joined Ron at his Mother's side. All three were dueling what looked to be a female, but again with glamors, they weren't so sure.

They could hear the cracking of magic as people fell one by one. Some were from the Order, Weasley's, or the ones who stayed to fight while others were Death Eaters. Soon there were only a few Death Eaters and other Light siders remaining. The fight was dwindling down. That was when Hermione would hear a spell that was described to her once a few years ago. She turned to face the caster and realized that the wand was pointed at her.

The face of the supposedly dead Bellatrix Lestrange faced her. Bellatrix's face was twisted into a malicious grin as she formed the words, "Sectumsempra!" Hermione couldn't cast a shield charm fast enough. She closed her eyes and awaited the impact of the curse. When she felt no blood pouring out of major wounds she looked around.

Hearing a choking sound by her feet only then did she realize what happened. There lying at her feet covered in gashes that were pouring blood was her husband, Ronald Weasley. Not caring about the duel going on around her any longer she dropped to her knees. She pulled Ron into her lap to assess the damage and attempted to quell her panic.

Hermione was trying desperately all the healing spells she could think of. As the lights of spells continued to light the world around her. All she cared about at that moment was making sure Ron survived. There was too much blood already and she didn't know what to do.

The dueling stopped around her but she didn't notice as she tried unsuccessfully to stop the bleeding. As she was trying one last time Ron laid an even paler hand on top of hers that held her wand to still it. She looked into his bright blue eyes, for what wouldn't hopefully be the last time.

"It's s'okay 'Mione. I at least got to marry you," Ron managed in a weak voice with a small smile. Hermione started sobbing, not wanting to face what was about to happen. "I love you 'Mione." His hand on top of hers went slack.

Next thing she knew someone was screaming, a heartbreaking scream. She couldn't tell where it was coming from until she realized it was her. All the Weasley's including Harry fell to their knees beside her. Hermione just clutched Ron's lifeless body to her tighter, not caring that his bloodstained her robes. Curse the day that Snape ever invented that curse and did not care to share the counter curse with anyone.

Hermione's world shattered around her as Molly and Arthur took her into their arms they started crying along with her. The other Weasley's were also crying but dared not to go near the hysterical witch and their parents whose magic was crackling in the air around them. The magic was so powerful that even those who were former classmates and close friends backed away. They could feel the pain and misery as the family lost yet another member.

At twenty-one, Ronald Weasley lost his life. The one that was supposed to be a long and fulfilled. One that included Hermione in his life with children in the future. But, now it was all shattered and Hermione was left alone to pick up the pieces of her broken heart and his family's too. But, everything comes with a price and Hermione was going to make sure it was paid, no matter the cost.
