Thank you to those who are liking this story and giving it a chance! I'm hoping it does the Kingdom Hearts franchise justice! In a few chapters we will be leaving the DBSuper universe and enter the first realm...It might surprise you (grins)...

As you've all probably noticed, there's a lot of "sleeping" right now...It's the easiest way we writers can get to the next scene and it does get a bit boring...BUT...Kingdom Hearts requires multiple times in which the character "sleeps" sort of...At least in the beginning stages. There's one more time in which it's lights out for Hikari (she'll notice this trend and start to complain about it lol). Also, you all are probably thinking "Oh, okay...Goofy's here with her! That makes sense!" Well...If you are a Disney nerd like me...You remember that Goofy...Has a son (smirk)...

Chapter 4: Denizens of Light

Everything happened in slow motion then...She was thrown to the ground by Trunks and Goten while Goku and Vegeta attacked Raven, the two glowing in yellow light. Now Hikari was running with Trunks and Goten out of harm's way. She was practically thrown behind a large rock before the boys went to go help their fathers.

Hikari sat there in absolute shock. Did...Did that just happen? Did...Did Raven just...Kill Bulma? She could hear the sounds of battle, feel the Earth below quake from the blows. It sounded and felt like the gods themselves were battling against a great evil.

What was going on!?

All was quiet soon...Dare Hikari leave her hiding place?

"You can come out, Hikari...All is well now…"

She froze when she heard Raven's voice.

"Now, now...I didn't mean to kill her...She's fine, honest! Why don't you see for yourself?"

Hikari jumped as Bulma appeared before her but Bulma looked...different...Her eyes seemed far off, the hole in her chest now a black hole of sorts. She spoke not a word as she gripped Hikari by the throat and slammed her against the rock formation.

"Ah...There you are…" Raven appeared next. "Sorry about that...Didn't mean to scare you too much...I just wasn't expecting such a big audience...Though...I really should thank you…" He smirked. "You made my job a whole lot easier…"

"What...What…" Hikari breathed out and Bulma squeezed, making the air leave completely. She clawed at the woman's hands but it felt like Bulma had the strength of a thousand men at the moment.

"Now, don't you worry...She won't kill you...You're too valuable to kill…" Raven said. "Just answer me one thing, Hikari…Where is the key?"

Key? What key? What was he talking about?

"Hmmm...Talk about blank with a capital 'B'...Though I shouldn't be surprised...You were very young…" He came closer. "You are such a beautiful one...Soul and Heart...My your heart is practically glowing…How I can't wait to tear it out…"

"Not on your life!"

He landed below, the goofy looking man with the dark eyes and black coat. With an unknown force he pushed Bulma away from Hikari, stood between her and Raven.

"Ah...So the guardian angel appears…" Raven chuckled. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Back off NOW!" The man shouted while wielding an odd looking shield.

"Hmmm...You must be one of them...Definitely not the mage...the other one perhaps? Yes, I'm almost certain…" Raven chuckled. "Why don't you go play with my new toys?" He snapped his fingers.

The man was bombarded with spheres of black light.

High above floated Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta, each with eyes as dull as coal and glowing with unnatural black light. Just like Bulma, their chests bore a black circle of nothingness.

What was going on? Why was this happening? Hikari couldn't understand anything! The black coated man grabbed her arm.

"We've got to get out of here NOW!" He shouted at her then pulled her away. However, they didn't get very far as Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta surrounded them.

"This is bad…" The man cursed.

"Oh come now! You'll love the new world that's coming!" Raven chuckled. "Too bad Hikari won't be able to see it! Now...Before I kill you both…" He gave an evil grin. "How about I tell our little star how I murdered her parents?"

Hikari froze in absolute fear. "What…?"

"Oh yes...Do you want to know how I slaughtered your parents?"

"Don't listen to him Hikari!" The goofy man shouted but Raven continued.

"Your mother...I tore out her eyes and then I made her father eat them." Raven was ruthless.

"Stop it…" Hikari covered her ears, not wanting to hear Raven's words but still he continued.

"Your father I mutilated slowly...He was such a joy to kill! I first started at the fingers and worked my way up-"

"I said STOP IT!"

"I won't stop, Hikari…" Raven's words made her freeze again. "Not until you give me what I want!"

A flash of light…Her form being covered in a warm embrace then…

"Are you two alright?"

The warmth disappeared and she found herself somewhere else. The sky was much brighter and there was a sense of peace all around. There were trees and the grass had a different hue than she could remember.

"We're fine...Thank you…"

She followed the voice and saw the black coated man speaking with a short statured, purple skinned...Person? Was he even a person at all?

"We felt something strange happening on earth…" An elder purple person spoke up as well. "Who would have thought such an evil was hiding on Earth of all places?" He stared at the man. "I've a feeling you two are responsible for this in some way…"

"What is going on!?" Heiwa screamed out her frustrations, causing all three to turn their attention to her.

"Young woman you must first calm yourself." The elder being said. "First and foremost, know that you are safe here."

"Yes…" The younger one finally spoke up. "You two are in the Kai realm...Here no evil can enter." He smiled at Hikari. "My name is Shin...I am a friend of Goku and the others. And this is Elder Kai, you are on our planet."

"Oh…" Hikari took a deep breath. "Sorry...I just…" She looked at the goofy looking man. "Who...are you?"

He paused.

"It's...A long story…" The man breathed out, "My name is Max…"

"Okay...Max…" She glared at him. "How did you have my mother's keychain? What was that with Raven? Why was Goku and-"

"Calm yourself, young woman." Elder Kai said again. "We all have many questions, all which will be answered in time. I will make us some tea. Beerus should be on Earth by now handling the situation there."

"How can you all be so calm!?" Hikari was freaking out. "Raven just...He just…"

"I see...You know the person that did this…" The elder sighed. "That makes it all that much harder to deal with."

Max placed a hand on Hikari's shoulder. "It's going to be alright, Hikari...Believe me…"

She pushed him away. "How can I believe you when I don't even KNOW YOU!?" Hikari screamed at him. "Everything is just...This is too much!"

"Oi! Quit your yapping woman!"

The barked command had all turn to find Beerus and Whis standing nearby.

"That was quick." Shin frowned. "Did you…?"

Beerus gave a snort then turned his head.

"Apparently Beerus-sama could not stop the evil that had taken control of the Earth...He was about to destroy the Earth entirely...But I suggested council first." Whis stated then noticed Max. "Who are you?"

"Max...I know Hikari." He said. "Destroy? He was going to destroy the Earth?"

"Yes...Beerus-sama is the god of destruction." Whis stated.

"If Beerus can't destroy this entity then what will?" Shin became instantly concerned. Anything that Beerus couldn't destroy...Was definitely a problem.

"...I might know what can stop the evil plaguing that planet." Max was a bit hesitant but he continued. "It's...tied with what I'm about to say…"

Then Max turned to Hikari and spoke words that had everyone quiet.

"Hikari...We're not from this world...This...Realm I guess...We come from a place called...The Realm of Light."

The air grew heavy, still. Eyes were practically out of their sockets. Even Beerus's jaw was clear to the ground.

"You're…" Shin couldn't believe it!

"Well...That would explain why Beerus cannot defeat the evil plaguing Earth…" Elder Kai frowned. "This is not an evil from our realm...Thus Beerus has no power over it."

"What...What's the Realm of Light?" Hikari was even more confused than before.

"To most of us Kais and gods, it is a legend of sorts…" Elder Kai explained. "But a few of us know it is real...It is a place where all light and darkness comes from...All good thoughts come from there, but so too do all evil thoughts. It's the place of great balance that must never be disturbed."

"We angels are descended from beings of that place." Whis explained. "Though that was great a many centuries ago...Before most of the universes were even thought of...I believe the first Zen destroyed the gateway to such a world. Either that or he made sure it was kept safe somewhere…" He shrugged. "Though I haven't the foggiest which is true…"

Shin looked towards Max and Hikari. "Then how did you two manage to get here?"

"A good question indeed…" The Elder Kai stated.

Max went quiet.

"Honestly...I'm...Not sure myself…I was really young at the time…" He looked at Hikari. "You were just a baby...I remember you being thrust into my arms and my father telling me to protect you...Then a great light and we were here in this place." He bowed his head. "I was only a child...I didn't know how to take care of a baby so...I...Placed you at the steps of the biggest house I could find...I figured the bigger the house, the better life you would lead...I...Grew up nearby, in the shadows…Every time you were moved somewhere else I always tried to follow. When you got in trouble I did what I could to get you out of it…"

Hikari's eyes grew wide. "You...It was you…" She recalled the plethora of times in her life she had gotten into trouble, whether it was her doing or someone elses...and she always ended up leaving without a scratch or even being punished...Some of the people she had stayed with had called her the "lucky b" sometimes...Though she doubt it was a good nickname…

"Yes...I'm...I'm sorry…" Max said then gave a great sigh. "We can talk more later if you want but right now…"

"Indeed...A great evil is in need of dealing with." The Old Kai stated, then looked at Hikari. "I believe the only one whom can deal with this threat...is you young woman."

Hikari blinked. "What? Me!? No way!" She back away, truly terrified now. Did they honestly expect her to fight Raven!? He was downright terrifying! No way!

"It's possible you're like your mom and dad…" Max told her. "They were-"

"Keyblade Wielders…Guardians of Light...Am I correct, young man?" Old Kai said and Max nodded, a bit surprised the Old Kai knew of such things.

"Yes...But...Not entirely…" He looked at Hikari. "Your mom was a Keyblade wielder but...she was also something else...Dad and the others called her 'One of the Seven'..."

"Ah…" Whis smiled at Hikari. "Then you most certainly are a special one, ne?"

"Huh?" Hikari asked but Whis simply pointed his staff at her.

"I think right now you need to sleep...A long nap will certainly help…" He smiled. "Have a good dream, little princess of light."

A bright light filled her vision and her eyes grew heavy.

Then next thing Hikari knew...Sleep took her…Once more…
