[The Next Day: Training Room]

Bella enjoyed the shower from last night and she even turned in earlier than everyone else. When she got up this morning, she was sore between her legs from her encounter with Eric. She knew that she would be sore, though she thought that maybe it wouldn't affect her so much. She stretched nonetheless and looked up at Tris, Christina, Will and Al. They looked hung over. Bella smirked at her friends. "No one said to drink as much as you did." She called out to them as they approached.

Tris groaned, going to Bella and laying her head on her shoulder. "Yeah, but no one told us to stop either. At least you were smart enough to break away."

Bella smiled at her sister. "Well, maybe next time, less alcohol and more dancing." She said and moved to stretch some more.

"Killer ink." Christina complimented the tattoo sleeve on Bella's arm.

"Thanks. I feel like tattoos are going to be my best friend." Bella said with a smile. It was a cover to get to Tori and talk more. She knew from last night, that she wanted to see Tori again and talk more about the issues going on with Divergents and the faction system.

"Looks like you had some fun though." Will commented, nodding to the hickey on the side of Bella's throat.

Bella smiled a little. "Perhaps." She alluded to the fun she had.

Tris blinked a few times and then gasped. "Isabella Marie Prior, did you have too much fun last night?"

Bella laughed a little. "No, not too much. Just a friendly encounter with a random guy from the bazaar."

"Do we know him?" Christina waggled her eyebrows.

Bella didn't know how to answer that, but it didn't matter, because now the others were filtering in and Eric and Four were there already. She was thankful for the interruption, because she wasn't sure how to begin to answer that. Christina was previously Candor, so it would be hard to lie to her.

"Alright, last night you all had your fun. Today, you get to train extra hard to balance out the fun you had." Eric said, and looked at the board that held all the names. Bella had been bumped up to sixteenth now since she sparred with Demetri and won.

"Today, you're going to practice your aim with knives. Or, in the very least, you'll be tested to see how weak you are in this area." Four said, and nodded to the transfer recruits. "My group with me. Dauntless born go with Eric." He said, splitting the herd.

Bella watched Eric take his crew with him, leaving Four there with her and twelve others. They were given six throwing knives each and placed in front of targets. They lined up, looking at the target in front of them. Four demonstrated first, before he had the others start in.

Bella lined up her shot, mimicking Four and his movements. She managed to get her knives to stick on the first try. She was proud of herself. She walked to the target, grabbing her knives out of the target while others were throwing their knives.

Four watched Bella and her performance. She was fearless to a degree. He wondered if she realized that she retrieved her knives without noticing the others throwing their own knives, poorly. Bella intrigued him, but he focused his attention back on Tris, who was missing the target every time, as were a couple other recruits. He sighed, knowing that it was going to be a long 15 more weeks left on this round one training.

[Later after Lunch Chow]

Eric watched the sparring stage, his arms crossed as Lukas took down Tris Prior. He looked Bella up when he had a spare moment this morning and found out that she was an orphan, born to Charles and Renee Swan then adopted by Natalie and Andrew Prior when she was just a girl, barely six. So Tris and Bella were sisters, he had mused. They were opposite of each other in many ways. Bella was strong, physically and it seemed she was strong mentally as well. It would be harder to break Bella, but Tris on the other hand. She was weak in every aspect. He was surprised she chose Dauntless. At least there was ambition there, but ultimately, Tris would be factionless in the end. Bella's aptitude test showed Abnegation, so he was shocked at her change, but she adapted to Dauntless fast. He found her interesting, at least for right now.

"Bella and Peter. Go." Eric called out once Tris was removed from the mats by Christina and Al.

Bella got up on the mats, squaring off with Peter. He was previously Candor, like Christina and he was an asshole and that was putting it nicely. Peter was higher than Bella on the board. Peter had a background in fighting it seemed. Abnegation and Amity were the factions that didn't partake in martial combat like Dauntless, Erudite and Candor. There were competitions held at Candor that would include other factions to join, though it was rare to see the factions mingle in such an event, so the turn out was mostly Candor.

"You're going to die today stiff." Peter goaded Bella, before he flew at her with speed.

Bella blocked his hits, pushing back against Peter. He was strong, that much was true, but Peter's overconfidence was his undoing. Bella tripped him up, getting him to the mats, wrapping herself around him and folding his arm into a really painful armbar. He growled, gritting his teeth as he swung with his free arm to try and pry her off him, but she held fast until he managed to pull free from her. They got to their feet again and he rushed her again, punching at her, but she managed to dodge his punch before bringing her knee up into his hip, throwing him off balance enough to slam her own fist into his face, his nose shattering on the impact. Blood flew everywhere when she broke his nose and he groaned out in pain. It blinded him momentarily, before she swung at him again, her knuckles busting open on his jaw this time. He felt the crack in his jaw, but it wasn't broken. He was dazed a little and then she snapped her foot up, catching him the right way on the side of his head and then he was met with blackness.

His body slumped to the mats, as Bella stood over him, waiting a minute, before she dropped her own hands. Blood covered her knuckles from the rough abrasion of hitting a face with her raw fist.

Eric made a hmph sound before nodding to Lukas to remove Peter from the mats. He didn't say anything to Bella, but she got off the mats too. "Jasper, fix her hand in the clinic." He said with a nod.

Jasper Whitlock, he was another story. He was the only Amity transfer and he was high up on the board as well at number 11. He had blonde hair that fell to his shoulders in a slight wave and his eyes were like liquid honey. He was muscular from his time spent on the farms in Amity, so his transition to Dauntless with his strength, was unwavering. He nodded to Bella. "Alright, come with me." He said and lead Bella to the room.

It was the same room that last night, Bella and Eric tore each other's clothes off in a hurry. She sighed, waiting for Jasper to grab bandages.

"Wash your hand in the sink." Jasper instructed simply, while he grabbed bandages.

Bella moved to the sink, letting the cool water rush over her hand. It wasn't a big cut, just across two knuckles. "It doesn't really hurt."

"Yeah, for now. You'll feel it later." Jasper said with a smile. He grabbed a towel and dried off Bella's hand and looked at it. The knuckles weren't too bad, the bleeding already coming to a stop. He bandaged her hand for anyways, to give her padding and to keep it covered so it could at least scab over to prevent infection.

"Thanks." Bella said, looking at her hand and she left without another word, leaving Jasper there staring after her.

That night she decided to shower when everyone slept. She welcomed the relief of the hot shower as it tasted her skin. She hadn't realized how sore she was from her training, so the hot water did help relieve the tension built up in her shoulders. She closed her eyes, sinking in to the water as she enjoyed it more. She couldn't do this when others were present. Since her eyes were closed she hadn't been expecting it, but she was rushed from behind, her face slammed into the cool tile of the shower, a hand planted firmly over her mouth so she couldn't scream. She felt the hard body behind her and she panicked, not knowing what was happening at first. She was naked and at her most vulnerable. She pushed hard, trying to fight her attacker, but they pinned her to the shower and everything was slick. She couldn't bite the hand that covered her mouth because of how they had clamped it over her mouth. She felt the penetration, the sting between her legs, before she realized what was actually happening. Tears blinded her as she was assaulted and there was nothing that she could do in this moment to save herself. It was the ultimate weakness. She felt them finish and then they slammed her face into the tile and she felt her consciousness waiver. When she turned to try to see who had attacked her, they were gone. She held her hand to her head, blood running down into her eye now. She grabbed her towel, leaving the shower on, as she wrapped it around her. She walked out of the shower in just the towel as she looked around. She shook the dizzy feeling she had, and was certain she was concussed, but she fought it hard. She left the sleeping area. Stumbling out towards the catwalk to walk across to the training room. She made it to the middle of the catwalk and she felt her world shift. She grabbed for the railing and felt herself stumbling more and then arms were catching her. She fought against them at first, but then looked up into the steel eyes of Eric.

Eric was walking through, his attention on his palm pilot when he heard something and looked up at the catwalk before crossing. He saw Bella, in a towel, bleeding and stumbling. He rushed towards her as she stumbled, almost going over the side of the catwalk and caught her before she could topple over. She fought him, but stopped when she looked at him. "What happened?" He asked, concern filling him. The state that she was in told him that she was assaulted when she wasn't expecting it.

Bella looked at Eric, blinking a few times, before tears flooded her and she couldn't stop the sobs.

Eric held on to her as she slumped against him, relaxing into his arms. He swung her up into his arms and carried her off the catwalk, taking her up towards his room so he could get privacy and some answers from her. He set her on his bed after kicking the door closed behind him. Bella had stopped crying now and her head started pounding. She reached a shaky hand up to her head where her head was split open.

"I…-"

"Don't say anything yet." Eric said, his voice even. He disappeared a moment and returned with first aid. He dabbed at her forehead, seeing the cut on her head and so he took some special glue and squeezed it over the cut. It burn at first, but it sealed the cut so it would stop bleeding. He put a bandage over it and then looked her over. "Does it hurt anywhere else?"

Bella was hurting and she knew that she was bleeding elsewhere, but she didn't know if she could expose herself like that again. But Eric's eyes had landed at her crotch, where there was blood present on the towel.

Eric ran a hand over his face, understanding the gravity of the situation. "You were sexually assaulted." He said it as a statement, but Bella nodded, trembling a little. He shook his head, anger filling him. He was Dauntless, a leader and while he was hard on the recruits, this was one of his pet peeves. This was something only the filth of Factionless would resort to. "Do you know who?"

Bella shook her head, closing her eyes. She wished she knew so she could kill whoever did this. It was a coward's move to attack someone when their back was turned, but even more so to do what they did to her.

Eric wanted to hit something, but he refrained in this moment. He paused a moment, thinking things through. "Okay. Did you get a hit in on the person? Bite or scratch?" He asked and Bella shook her head. "You were in the shower?" He asked, and Bella nodded. "Okay, I'll start there."

"No." Bella finally spoke.

Eric frowned, looking at her. "What?"

"Whoever did this. They're a coward. But I will find out who did it and I will kill them." Bella said her eyes showing a fire now. "This is not going to break me." She said and stood. "I am Dauntless, I am strong. They caught me at a vulnerable moment. We all have one, but it won't happen again."

Eric studied her and he believed her. He believed that she would find out who did this to her and that she would kill them for it. He believed that she was every bit of Dauntless. It was like Bella flipped a switch in her head and she turned off the pain, the fragility. She was something inspiring to say the least, but he saw a fire in her that he hadn't seen in recruits before. Bella Swan Prior, was the embodiment of Dauntless. "Okay. When you figure out who did this. You let me know. Murdering someone without public just cause, is a capital offense. Though, I am on your side. Perhaps whoever did this, tripped and met their untimely end in the drop off." He suggested.

Bella looked at Eric, her empty dark eyes studying him now too. "You would help me."

"I would." Eric said, crossing his arms now. "I may be a dick, but I have boundaries."

"And rape is one of them."

"Yes."

"You want to kill whoever did this yourself." She stated.

Eric nodded. "I do."

"Why? I'm just a recruit."

"You're not just any recruit. You're my recruit." Eric said his steel eyes were serious.

Bella nodded, knowing that Eric would help her. That much she could trust, though there were many things about Eric that she couldn't trust. She was surprised he wouldn't use this against her, but then again, everyone had their boundaries like he said. Everyone had a quirk that set them off and she found his. She wondered if he had any other 'quirks.

"Are you okay?" Eric asked firmly, his eyes studying her intensely.

Bella tilted her chin up, showing her strength and will power to be okay. "I am perfect." She said, her voice chilled, but strong. There was no hint of waiver there, no hint of weakness. She dropped the towel then, showing her naked body and turned. The bruises already layered her skin from her attacker's hands.

Eric's eyes raked over her body. The bruised flesh on her back, her legs and the blood that was already drying on her thighs. She turned again; her dark eyes fastened to his. "You are Dauntless." He said with a nod.

Bella nodded back. "I am. Now can I use your shower."

Eric smirked just a little and nodded. He watched her walk towards his bathroom and he heard the water kick on. His smirk fell as he thought about the bastard that would take advantage of a woman. Bella was brave, she was strong and despite that strength, it didn't mean that it didn't hurt. Bella was hard for him to read. She was a mystery to him and while she showed this outward strength, he wondered if inside, there was something crumbling. She piqued his interest and now he wanted to know more about Bella Prior, the girl from Abnegation.
