Na'vi and Hylians are similar in spirit to their goddesses- Eywa and Hylia, Link is basically an Avatar in both technology and spirituality- Zelda is the incarnation of Hylia. Keep in mind Jake's cynical nature compare to more forgiving Link, he was a marine from death world before ending up in Pandora. He did become better by becoming Na'vi in many trials, but the war snapped him into a military war hero. Even by hyrulian champion standards, he's willing to spread wrath to defend those he deeply cares which is a very emotional character in my opinion- Guts from Berserk anyone?

There's a contrast between a war hero/Hyrule champion and a fabled hero from children's tales, Link on the other hand is technically a militant hero like Jake as he was prepared to face many calamities. There is a good reason why hero worship is flawed in my fic as they take unprepared hero way too personally. Mao's death led the entire kingdom against Link does remind of an Avatar taking over and they can't accept the underperformance. Link forgives because of their brothers but Jake doesn't because they choose to be rivals.

Family and unity may not be their thing but there is nothing to change my mind about loving Avatar films over more meme-filled ones. What's more insane is that I enjoyed nice beaches and forests while they want to be in a fairy tale with mother goose. I know Zelda has some fairytale tropes but the backdrop/world-building is inspired by a medieval fantasy like Lord of the Rings.

They want Puss to become Ganon because they want the precious, what LotR says about addictions. Animation is a fun medium but I don't want to waste over hate it.
