Chapter 2: Leave. Never Look Back.
Jalin woke up as she yawned. Realizing that she has work today & she groaned. She unplugged their phone from the charger as they headed to the restroom to get ready. Jordan also woke up as they heard a knock on the door. He got up as he shouted out 'Come in!' His mom walked in.
"Hey honey, so I'll be heading over to Aiden's house today after work. I don't know how long I'll be gone but you and your sister can order pizza if y'all get hungry, okay?" Brooke told her son as she smiled at him.
"Right. But mom, what if we both wanna hang out with our friends? I mean like are you okay with that?" Jordan asked his mom. Trying not to push her buttons.
"You can. But Jalin can't. I don't trust those boys she likes to hang out with. Especially their boyfriend." Brooke said as she scoffed.
Jordan tilted his head at his mom then he noticed that Jalin heard everything outside from the hallway as she shook their head & walked to their room.
"Mom, Jalin literally has two friends. I think she deserves to have more than two friends. Don't you think? And why do you have a problem with them dating a boy? They won't do anything if that's what you're thinking." Jordan to her as he got out of bed.
"I know but I'm just worried that- Nevermind. Look, I'm late for work. I'll see you two later." Brooke blew a kiss to Jordan as she walked out of his room.
Jordan shook his head as he stood up & knocked on his sister's door. Jalin was dressed for work as she was just brushing their hair.
"It's open!" Jalin shouted out to their big brother.
Jordan walked in as he smiled at his younger sister.
"Hey. If you heard mom, I'm sorry. I tried to-" Jordan got interrupted by Jalin.
"Don't bother. Mom is just being mom. But if she really has a problem with me hanging out with boys who are into each other and one boy who's only into me, then so be it. She can't stop me. I'm going to hang out with Kieran today after work. I need a getaway." Jalin told their brother as they walked into the kitchen.
Jordan nodded sadly. He doesn't understand why his sister & mom are like this. Their mom was the boy crazy one. Jalin just happened to avoid boys during their school days till they met the Rainbow Buddies from 'Camp Buddy' & they all just became friends. Jordan doesn't wanna overthink this as he too headed to the kitchen. Jalin was eating breakfast as they were texting Kieran.
"Of course! You can come over. We'll have dinner I can cook for you, sweetie.~" Kieran said as he used many heart emojis.
"Yay~! I can't wait to try it. I just need a break from my mom. I heard her talking shit about me again to my big brother too." Jalin replied as she used the eye roll emoji.
"That sucks love. I'm sorry. But definitely come over after work. I'll have everything by then.~" Kieran said as he used more heart emojis & kissy face emojis.
"You got it, love.~ See you by then.~" Jalin sent the text using the same emojis. She then looked up at their brother as she sighed.
"Look, I'm going to Kieran's house today. Just for dinner then I'll be back before our mother gets home." Jalin told Jordan. Trying to keep their cool.
"I'm guessing you heard her talking shit huh? Go ahead sis. I'll cover for you. Don't worry about me." Jordan said to Jalin as he smiled at them.
Jalin looked at their big brother. She hates having Jordan cover for them to the point that it'll have their mom yell at them. But she only smiled at him as she headed back to their room.
When they got done, Jordan headed to college as Jalin walked to their job. It was a little chilly outside as Jalin didn't really mind it much. She then noticed someone as she heard their voices. She gasped happily as she called out to them.
"Simon! Taiga!" Jalin shouted as she waved their hand in the air.
The two looked at them as they both gasped happily & walked up to them.
"Yo! What up? Been a while. Well we did talk to you on video call." Taiga said as he smiled.
"Yeah. Is everything alright, Jalin? Are you and Kieran in a fight or something?" Simon asked them in concern.
"What? No no. We're doing just great. It's just that…..me and my mom aren't having a good relationship. I don't know why she has a problem with me being friends with y'all and dating Kieran. It's like she's against it or something." Jalin said as she sighed.
The two walked the cross walk as they both nodded.
"Maybe she's just worried about you hanging out with boys because….well they can be really creepy sometimes. But I know you haven't dealt with that huh?" Simon asked their friend.
"No. My two friends are girls. We've been friends since Elementary and Junior High school. I never ditched them even though they had other friends. So." Jalin said as she smiled.
"Well that's good. And I promise you, Kieran isn't a pervert or anything. He's really a kind guy. I'm happy that you two are together." Taiga told them as he smiled.
"Thank you. Well guys I gotta turn this way to get to my job. I'll talk to y'all later." Jalin said as she smiled at them & walked off to their job.
Both Taiga & Simon smiled & waved at them as they both walked off. Simon had to go to college as Taiga had to go to the camp to clean up some more. As Mr. Clermont was coming by today for a meeting.
Kieran headed to Jalin's job hours later before they were about to clock out. Jalin's legs were hurting as they looked for some bath salts & muscle pain.
"Hey baby. Heading out~?" Kieran said to them as he smiled.
"Yeah love. If my mom isn't home, wanna come over to my house? I'm going to take a quick bath because my legs and thighs are just in pain for some no reason." Jalin said as she headed to the checkout.
Kieran followed them as he stayed by their side but then he saw some snacks he wanted to buy. Jalin noticed as he smiled at him.
"Go on. The cashier is blowing up someone's balloons." Jalin said to them as she kissed his cheek.
Kieran smiled back as he did so. He picked out some candy, seasoning, & noodles. He noticed some soda as he picked out two.
"Got us soda, babe. If you want any." Kieran told them as he smiled.
"Oh perfect! And don't worry I like all kinds of soda, so I like any flavor." Jalin told him as they smiled.
Kieran smiled back as he stood by their side. When they got done, they both walked to Jalin's house. It was empty. Their mom seems to be at work still. Jordan is still at college. Kieran gulped as he walked in.
"Babe, are you sure this is okay? I mean I don't want your mom to go ballistic." Kieran asked them as he gulped.
"She's not here. She could be at Aiden's house or something. Come on. Let's head to my room." Jalin said as she held onto Kieran's hand.
Kieran blushed even more. He remembers being in Jalin's room. This is the first time coming back to their home but alone with no 'Rainbow Buddies' & Jalin's brother.
Jalin walked into their room as they grabbed a pair of change of clothes & their body lotion from their bag. Kieran sat on Jalin's bed. They noticed that their anime body pillow guy wasn't on their bed any more.
"Hey babe, I remember you had that body pillow dude. What happened to it?" Kieran asked them as he blushed.
"I sold it. I have you now to cuddle.~ Anyways, I'll be back out in five minutes.~ Just hide if you hear any noises." Jalin told Kieran as she kissed his cheek.
Kieran blushed & nodded as he watched them walk into the restroom. Jalin closed & locked the door to take their bath. Kieran then headed to the group chat to see what's everyone was doing.
Curious Swan: "Today's topic at school was depressing. I've been crying for like 10 minutes & I still can't stop! :'("
Prince Lion: "What was the topic about, Simon? You seem really upset."
Curious Swan: "Putting pets to sleep. :( I wanna work with animals but I don't wanna put them to sleep. I would cry with their owners if I had to do that as my job."
Red Tiger: "It's a very difficult job, love. I'm sorry your class has to talk about that. :("
Kieran read the messages as he sighed. He then looked up when he heard a sound. Jalin was still in the bathtub as she was singing a tone from a Vocaloid song. Kieran gulped as he put his phone down & investigated the sound. He headed downstairs as he heard a door slam. Kieran gasped as he ran back to Jalin's room. He then hid in their closet. He stayed really quiet but then he realized that his bag was on Jalin's bed. He gasped as he quietly opened the closet door but he gasped as he heard a woman's voice.
"Jalin! Jordan! Sweeties, if you're here then please come here.~ Momma has exciting news for you~!" Brooke said very happily as she waited for an answer.
"Uhh, doesn't your son drive? If I remember he has his own car, correct dear?" Aiden asked Brooke.
"Oh right! Awww man, we came home at the wrong time. In that case.~" Brooke pulled onto Aiden's tie as she pulled him close to her.
Aiden grinned as he kissed Brooke but he stopped. He then smelt some cologne. He looked around as he smelt his own arm.
"What's the matter, baby? Is it my armpits?" Brooke asked as she lifted up her arms.
"No no, uhh do your kids wear cologne or perfume?" Aiden asked her as he looked around.
"Nah. Jalin hates perfume. And Jordan, he sometimes wears it but I don't think he wore some today." Brooke said as she smelled the air. Yep, the smell of Kieran's cologne had filled the house.
Kieran then noticed that he was wearing cologne. He bit his lips as he hurriedly grabbed his phone & hid back into the closet. Jalin didn't even hear their mom downstairs with Aiden as the two were now walking around the house. Jalin got out of the bathtub as they rubbed themselves off. They looked at themselves in the mirror. They sighed. They wonder how Kieran would feel if they sent them a nude picture of themselves. They gulped as their phone lit up. Jalin checked the screen.
"Babe! Your mom is home! She & Aiden are now in your room smelling because they smell cologne. I'm wearing some actually. D:" Kieran said in text.
Jalin read the text as they gasped. They then fake coughed. Brooke & Aiden stopped as they checked the hallway.
"Sweetie, are you home?" Brooke called out to them.
"Yeah! I'm just finishing up with my bath! Go back downstairs. I'll be out soon." Jalin called out as they were putting lotion on their body.
"Alright. We'll be in the kitchen then. Let's go to the kitchen, Aiden.~" Brooke said to him as she held onto his hand.
"Okay, I don't know how long they'll be in the kitchen, but I'm almost done. I'll be done in like 5 minutes. Stay in my closet.~ Thanks babe." Jalin sent the text as they hurriedly put more lotion on their body & washed off the face cream. They put their clothes on them & lotion on their face.
Kieran was still hiding in the closet as they heard another door open. Then he heard a male's voice.
"Hey mom, I'm home. Or Jalin. Whoever's home." Jordan said as he sat on the couch.
"Oh dear! Welcome home. Hey are you wearing cologne today?" Brooke asked her son.
"Huh? Oh nah. I don't like the smell of it. But why? Maybe Aiden is?" Jordan asked his mom.
"Aiden isn't wearing any. Wait did-" Brooke looked up as she & Jordan saw Jalin walk out of the bathroom & headed to their room.
Brooke's ear twitched as she knew something was wrong. She walked upstairs. Jalin was kissing Kieran as they both smiled at each other. She gasped when she heard footsteps.
"I'll get rid of her. Don't move." Jalin said to him as she stood up.
"But your brother is also home." Kieran told them as he gasped, hearing the doorknob turn.
"I'll get her out of my room. Hold on." Jalin said as she walked up to their door. Kieran closed the closet door as Jalin opened the door.
"Honey? Did you bring home those boys from camp?" Brooke asked them as she had her arms folded.
"What the hell? Mom, is that how you say 'hi honey. How was your day?' I mean like hello?" Jalin said to their mom, annoyed.
Brooke sighed. "Look, I don't wanna fight with you about this. But can you please come downstairs? It's really important." Brooke asked Jalin.
Jalin sighed, "Fine. Just hang on for one minute." Jalin said to their mom as Brooke nodded & turned away.
Jalin closed their door as they put on deodorant. Kieran crawled out of their closet & stood up.
"So, I guess we're not hanging out then?" Kieran asked as he sighed.
Jalin hugged him around his neck & kissed him. "We will. Let me come up with an excuse and I'll have my mom to be distracted. I'll sneak out with you. Okay?" Jalin said to him as she smiled.
Kieran smiled back as he nodded at them. Jalin then headed downstairs to see what was up.
Jordan smiled at his sister as Jalin smiled at him as she stood by him, folding their arms. Brooke & Aiden came out of the kitchen as they both smiled at Jordan & Jalin. Jalin raised their eyebrows at them.
"Okay, since you two are here, we have some exciting news. Aiden and I are engaged!" Brooke said as she showed them their ring.
Kieran heard everything as he had Jalin's closet door opened. Jalin gasped as she stepped back. Jordan's eyes widened. Not too sure what to say.
"What. The. HELL!? You and my mother? No. I don't accept it!" Jalin said as she pulled on their cornrows making them come loose.
"Jalin! What's the matter with you? I deserve this." Brooke said to them.
"No offense Aiden, but I literally just met you at camp last year. I don't feel comfortable calling you my 'dad' and-" Jalin began to tear up.
"Don't sweat it. You can still call me 'Aiden' I don't mind." Aiden said as he smiled.
Jalin shook their head as she scoffed. "I'd rather live with dad than stay here." Jalin said as she stomped off.
"Jalin-" Brooke said but got stopped by Jordan.
"Let them go, mom. Let them process this." Jordan told her as he sighed.
"Funny. I have a really close friend who has two dads. She was processing the whole thing too." Aiden said as he chuckled.
"Oh really now? I feel bad for her. Having two dads must be tough. She's going to be bullied." Brooke told Aiden.
Jalin stopped midway as she was holding onto Kieran's hand. She tilted their head. So their mom is homophobic? Is that why she has a problem with the 'Rainbow Buddies'?
"Babe, let's just go. They're heading to the kitchen." Kieran whispered to them.
"Hang on, love." Jalin stomped back downstairs as she cleared their throat really loud.
"Oh, Aiden's making dinner by the way, honey. Go wash your hands please." Brooke told them.
"No. I'm going to eat at Kieran's house. What the hell mother?! So you think somebody having two dads will cause them to get bullied?! Try having someone like me with divorced parents because their mom is so selfish and only thinks of herself!" Jalin said. Holding back their tears.
"What?! I never said that!" Brooke said to Jalin.
"I literally just heard you, mom! Is that why you have a problem with my guy friends who are gay?! What's wrong with that?! If it's not affecting you then it has nothing to do with you!" Jalin said again.
"Now Jalin that's enough! Go upstairs and get ready for dinner." Brooke said as she grabbed onto Jalin's arms.
"No! Screw you! I'm going to Kieran's house for the night. I really hope you'll change mom, but honestly I guess not. Let's go babe." Jalin said as she grabbed onto his hand.
Kieran gulped seeing Jordan, Aiden, & Brooke staring at them. Jalin opened the door as they left. Aiden gulped as he too headed to the door.
"Wait, where you going, Aiden?" Brooke asked him.
"I shouldn't have said anything. That was nobody's business. I'm sorry but I can't date someone who can't accept other people's sexualities. You may not know this but I'm bisexual. Been with men plenty of times and had sex with them. I'll be on my way." Aiden said sadly as he left their home.
"Aiden- wait!" Brooke said as she teared up. She then looked at Jordan.
He didn't know what to say to her as he just headed upstairs to his room. Brooke was alone in the kitchen. She made a huge mistake.
Jalin & Kieran had dinner & watched some movies. Jalin was upset but she doesn't wanna be a burden to their friends in the group chat. She turned off their phone as she looked at Kieran. Kieran looked at them as he hugged them.
"Will you be okay? I have never heard you yell like that before." Kieran said to them.
"I'll be alright. I'm just shocked that my mom still has that mindset. I wonder how Aiden feels since he's bi-" Jalin stopped themselves & looked at Kieran.
"It's okay. He told us before. He's very open about it too." Kieran said to them as he smiled.
Jalin only nodded. She then looked at Kieran again & passionately kissed him. Kieran kissed them back. Jalin then pinned Kieran on the bed as she looked at him blushing at their lover. Kieran panted as he blushed looking at them with his eyes filled with lust.
"A-Are you in heat, babe? I mean if you wanna do it…we can…but I'm afraid I'll hurt you…." Kieran said as he looked away.
Jalin smiled as she stripped out of their clothes. Kieran watched as he blushed. Jalin was fully nude in front of him.
"I'll be okay. We've been together for about three months. I'll be okay, babe.~" Jalin said as she laid on their back.
Kieran gulped as he too stripped nude. He then grabbed some protection as he put it on his hardon. Jalin smiled as she spread their legs. Kieran smiled as he & Jalin made love to each other.
WOW! Okay! So Jalin & Kieran got a little hot & steamy there. ;)
