Just so we're all on the same page, I don't own anything, not Avatar: The Last Airbender or the characters within it. Though, I'll be honest, it'd be pretty cool if I did.

It was a cold night of October, with no clouds in the sky, the stars were able to shine brightly. It was also a full moon tonight, lighting up the town in it's glow. It may have been cold, but not to the point you'd have to wear a heavy coat. Aang stood in the cold air in a dark orange jacket to keep warm. Though the cold air was the last thing on his mind. Since right now his attention was focused on the person who got him fired.

Aang was surprised to say the least, but it was quickly replaced by anger. As the day's events flashed through his mind, Aang clenched his fist. "What do you want Jet?" Aang demanded, glaring at the man as he walked out of the ally onto the street.

"What? Can't I say hello to an ex-coworker?" Jet asked with grin on his face. He stood just a few feet away from Aang and popped a cigarette in his mouth, lighting it.

"Not when you're the one responsible for making me lose my job." Aang stated, his teeth clenched, shaking and ready to take his anger out on him.

Jet's grin widened as he blew out some smoke. "To bad, it's not like you'll do anything about it." Jet said, crossing his arms over his chest as he could see the anger in Aang's eyes.

Aang wanted to let him have it, he's had enough of Jet and losing his job was the last straw. However, before he did anything drastic a thought came to mind.

"Why?" Aang asked in a hushed tone.

"What?" Jet asked, confused by Aang's quiet tone and question.

Unclenching his fist, Aang repeated himself."Why do this? Why do you try to ruin my life? Fight me, bully me, humiliate me? Why do you do it? Why me?" Aang asked, not understanding why Jet would do this.

Jet didn't say anything, he was taken aback by Aang's question. Regaining himself he replied. "I thought it'd be fun to see you lose it. After so much time trying to piss you off, you just sit there and take it. You don't have any guts to fight back and it was fun at the time." Jet explained, keeping that grin on his face as he smoked. However, once he was done, Jet dropped his cigarette and stepped on it, putting it out. His grin turned to a scowl as he continued. "But now it's annoying, no matter how badly I beat you, you don't fight back, you don't get angry, you just end up shrugging it off and walking away. So I thought that the best way to get you pissed off and finally get a back bone, Is to do something that you couldn't handle or afford to lose." Jet ended, his grin returning to his face, seeming to be very amused by the outcome of today's events.

Aang couldn't believe it, Jet got him fired because he was annoyed that Aang wouldn't fight him? That he wouldn't let his anger out on him? That Jet would torment him for years, just to fight him!?

Looking down at the ground, refusing to make eye contact, Aang spoke just loud enough for Jet to barely hear him. "Are you joking?" Aang questioned, his voice was hauntingly low.

Jet heard him speak, but didn't know what Aang had said. Grinning, Jet responded. "What was that? You might want to speak up a bit." Jet mocked, hoping to rile Aang up.

Aang spoke, raising his voice enough so Jet could hear him clearly. "All this, just so I'd fight you." It was more of a statement than a question.

Jet saw that Aang was getting more agitated. "You can't say you don't want too. I can see you're pretty upset, so come on let's go!" Jet called out, taking an offensive stance to attack. Jet was smirking, expecting Aang to lash out at him.

Aang faced Jet, staring him down. He thought about everything that happened. From the days that Jet would beat him, humiliate him, even when his father passed, Jet wouldn't leave him alone and even now Jet wouldn't change. As the days went into weeks and weeks into months and months into years, Jet wouldn't change, he'd just make Aang's life worse. Aang could feel his blood boiling out of sheer anger, he clenched both his fists, shaking. Jet was right, Aang did want to fight him, he wanted to repay everything that Jet had done to him and make him feel what it's like to be beaten and have his life messed with and treated like a game. Clenching his fists tighter, Aang was ready to show Jet just how pissed off he was.

After walking around town to get his thoughts in order, Zuko made his way to a building. As the sun set and the stars lighting up with a full moon, Zuko found himself at the building entrance. Looking up at the front of the building read: The Jasmine Dragon. Zuko entered and saw that the place only had a few small groups of people, made sense, considering the fact that it was getting late. He made his way to the back, where he saw a young girl behind the counter, with black hair, light green eyes, a little short for being about nineteen years old but oh well. She seemed a bit distracted, probably due to the ear bud she had on.

"Hey Toph. Is Uncle Iroh still here?" Zuko asked, getting her attention with a small wave.

"Hey, he's in the back. Want me to get him spiky?." Toph asked with an amusing smirk.

"No, that's okay. I wanted to talk to him alone anyway." Zuko stated, making his way behind the counter.

He entered a decent sized room with a coffee table in the middle, surrounded by two couches facing a T.V hanging in the corner of the room. Zuko looked to a small table on the other side of the room to see an old man preparing some tea with a soft smile. Bald with only gray hair on the side of his head, gray beard and had some weight on him.

Zuko walked over to the man. "Uncle." He said, getting his attention.

"Ah, Zuko, how have you been nephew?" Iroh turned to face him, his small smile becoming wider at seeing Zuko.

Zuko smiled, glad to see his uncle. "I'm fine, I see you're taking a break. Are you getting tired of serving tea?" Zuko questioned, humor clear in his voice.

Laughing it off Iroh responds. "Of course not, just thought I would make myself a cup while I was back here taking a break from the day. Now, what can I do for you Zuko?" He asked.

At this, Zuko remembered why he came here. Gathering his thoughts, Zuko took a seat on one of the couches, gesturing for Iroh to take a seat. At seeing this, Iroh knew this had to be important. He hasn't seen Zuko this serious since he was sixteen. Preparing a second cup of tea for Zuko and taking a seat, Iroh waited for Zuko to speak.

"Uncle, I need your advice." Zuko told Iroh about his classmate Aang. He told him everything about Aang's situation. Once he was done his explanation, he waited to see what his uncle would say.

"Hmm, I imagine Aang is pretty upset about the ordeal." Iroh stated as he rubbed his beard in thought.

Zuko nodded, "Yeah, I offered to help him in anyway I can, but I don't know how." He confessed.

"Zuko, there are times when words alone will not reach one who has suffered and has a heart full of doubt." Iroh stated, waiting for his nephew to respond.

"So what can I do?" Zuko questioned, hoping his uncle will have the answer.

"Words may not always reach, but action will. Show him that you'll be there for him, as a friend." Iroh said, his smile never wavering.

"But, how?" Zuko asked, looking at his reflection in the tea cup.

"You said he no longer has a job, right?" Iroh asked as Zuko nodded in response. "Than why not have him work here?" Iroh suggested, taking a sip of his tea.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Zuko wondered, face palming.

Iroh simply laughed, "Have him come by tomorrow and we'll get him set in." He told his nephew, his smile growing wider.

"Thank you uncle." Zuko said, gratefully.

They continued to talk until it became time for the two to head out for the night. Unbeknownst to them, the subject of their conversation was dealing with another situation at this time.

Aang was planning to repay Jet for everything. He kept replaying past events in his mind, even their conversation that happened moments ago. He was ready to give Jet what he wanted. However, as that thought came to mind, Aang cam to a realization.

Taking a deep breath Aang uttered a single word. "No" Aang spoke softly, his eyes returning to the ground.

"What?" Jet asked, his eyes widened in surprise. Was he not going to fight him? After everything that happened? "What do you mean 'No'?" Jet demanded, his anger building.

"I won't fight you." Aang stated, his voice calm, fists no longer clenched as he looked Jet straight in his eyes.

"Why!? After everything, you still won't fight!?" Jet yelled out. His blood boiling at Aang's words.

"No, I won't." Aang said, remaining calm.

"Why!?" Jet demanded, becoming more angry, ready to beat Aang.

"Because than, I'd just be giving you what you want. I'm not going to give you that satisfaction. I won't bring myself down to your level." Aang answered as he turned his back to Jet and started to walk away.

Jet was furious, clenching his fists, gritting his teeth, he stared at Aang as he walked away. Having his anger at an all time high, Jet charged Aang, preparing to rip him apart.

Aang heard Jet charging at him from behind. Turning to face him, Aang saw Jet extending his arm to punch him straight in the jaw, but before he could, Aang reacted, catching his fist and grabbing his arm. Using Jet's momentum, Aang flipped him over his shoulder, causing Jet to hit the ground, landing on his back. The air zapped out of Jet's lungs and he struggled to regain his breathing. Aang didn't mean to hurt him, but he'd be lying if he said it didn't feel good. Even so, Aang had no intention to fight him.

Regaining the ability to breath, Jet looked up at Aang with rage in his eyes. "You're dead!" Jet yelled out, reaching in his pocket, pulling out a pocket knife. He got back on his feet, ready to attack again.

Once Aang saw Jet pull out a knife, he knew that Jet was out for blood this time. Knowing he couldn't win, since he knew how tough Jet was, Aang decided to make a break for it. Though Aang was fast on his feet, Jet proved he was no slouch. Hot on Aang's trail with a knife in hand, Aang tried to think of a way out.

'I can't run to my apartment, he'll just follow me there. I need a place to lose him.' Aang thought, though there were not many options that could accomplish that.

Running down the street and turning a corner, Aang saw he was headed for the forbidden castle at the end of the street. Seeing nowhere else to lose Jet and not able to think of another plan, Aang moved as fast as he could to the gate of the castle. His lungs burning and legs starting to ache, he pushed on. Making it to the gate, Aang quickly climbed over. Once he made it on the other side, he saw Jet was still chasing him as he too was running to the gate.

Facing the castle, Aang ran for the entrance. He busted the old doors open by ramming his shoulder in them. Probably not the best idea, since he fell on the ground but he got back up instantly, grunting, he ignored the pain. Aang saw Jet was over the gate and running straight at him. Aang headed further in the castle, coming out of the entrance and into a large room. He was expecting the inside of the castle to be like how it was on the outside, old, warn down furniture, cracked walls, but instead it only seemed dusty. Worst case was there might have been a few tear's in the furniture, though he couldn't tell, since most of everything was covered in sheets. With no time to look around, Aang looked to see anyway to go. He saw multiple hallways were on multiple sides of the room and he had to pick which hallway to go down quickly. Deciding to go right, Aang headed down the hall. After a few turns and passing by multiple rooms, Aang ended up at a big living room, with some kind of mini bar at the back. Looking to the opposite side of the room, he saw a set of stairs heading… down… below the castle…

'Yeah, because the best place to go would be below a forbidden castle.' Aang thought sarcastically, but he had no other choice. I mean he did, but not really. Would you go with Jet or the lower depths of a castle, that had not been in use for possibly centuries?

"Dark abyss it is." Aang said, wanting this night to be over.

As he made it down the stairs, Aang saw that it was some kind of personal study. A sizable room, with shelves of old books, a desk, fireplace in the back. This was the equivalent of a man cave to him in all honesty. As he moved closer to the fireplace, he noticed the floor boards were lose, as though their was nothing supporting them underneath.

Before he could question it, the floor gave out, sending Aang down underneath the castle. When Aang landed, he rolled on impact to avoid serious injury. On his knees, Aang took a breath and stood up, taking in his surroundings. He was in some kind of cave, deep under the castle. Looking around he saw an opening that led to another room. Surprisingly there seemed to be moon light coming from it.

'Not so deep than.' Aang thought, trying to get over the chill that came over him once he came down here.

Making his way inside, he saw that the light wasn't coming from outside. Rather it was coming from the crystals above. Aang guessed that there was an opening, allowing the moon light to reflect off the crystals. Happy with that as an answer, Aang looked around the room. It was fairly lit with the crystals, he saw old candles scattered around the room, silk sheets on the floor, and in the middle was an upper section. Curious, Aang went to the center, climbing the small steps of the upper section. Once on top, his eyes widened a bit at seeing a coffin laid out in the center of the upper section. Taking a closer look, Aang saw the coffin was opened and inside was a skeleton. Normally, Aang would have been freaked out and would try to find a way out of there. However, he continued to look at it, seeing something strange. Looking at the face, Aang saw the skeleton had two fangs. Taking a step back in surprise, Aang decided to just get out of their.

However, he heard an impact behind him, where he came from. Turning his head, he saw Jet enter the room.

"Found you! Now you got no where to run." Jet stated, his smirk returning.

Jet charged at Aang, knife in hand. Aang tried getting out of the way, but he stumbled, due to the coffin right behind him. Allowing Jet a chance to swipe at him. Jet made a slashing motion, Aang managed to move, but not enough as Jet cut his arm, causing a bit of blood to fly in the air. A few drops of it, landing in the coffin.

Aang had fallen off the platform, rolling back on his feet. Aang stood facing Jet, clutching his arm in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

"You're so dead, I'll leave you here for the rats to munch on." Jet threatened, waving his knife around, as he walked up to Aang.

Aang was facing Jet as he walked backwards, however he ended up being put against the wall. Seeing no where to go, Aang faced Jet, preparing to die. Though as he faced his attacker, he saw something behind Jet. Looking over Jet's shoulder he saw a young woman by the coffin. She had long brown wavy hair, fairly tall, almost Aang's height, wearing a dark blue dress and had sparkling blue eyes, that stared right back at him. Aang's eyes widened, he couldn't look away from the woman, even though his attacker was just a few feet away.

Jet was about to strike again, when he noticed Aang wasn't looking directly at him. Instead he was looking past him with a shocked expression. Turning to see what Aang was looking at, Jet saw the woman by the coffin.

"What the hell?" Jet asked, clearly confused, eyes wide. There was no one here besides them two, so where did she come from?

The two boys were staring at her wondering what she was doing here and what she planned to do. The woman looked at the scene before her. Stepping down to the lower floor and walking to them. Jet felt a chill up his spine, this girl was creeping him out.

As she continued to walk to the two boys, Jet couldn't take the tension she was emitting. "That's close enough. Who are you?" Jet demanded, holding his knife close.

The woman stopped, her expression calm and unwavering, eyes half-lidded, as though she didn't care about Jet's demands.

Aang saw the woman stop, but he didn't believe it was because of Jet. Before another thought passed his mind, the woman was suddenly in front of Jet, as though she appeared there out of thin air. She was just inches away from him. However before Jet could react, Aang saw the woman bite into his neck. Her fangs sinking into him, as Aang watched in complete fear, he couldn't move as he saw Jet become pale. Jet couldn't move or fight back as the girl held onto him. After a few moments had passed, she released Jet, allowing him to fall to the ground, lifeless. The woman wiped her mouth, she seemed to be disgusted.

"Ugh. That was far too bitter, nothing like before." She said, forgetting about Jet. Her attention was than brought to the wall, where Aang stood.
