Bo panted. She was struggling to breathe. Every breath came out as a hard moan. "Lauren". She bit her lip and made a fist with her hand. She froze when the Doctor silently responded. "Lauren". She panted again. She closed her eyes as the moment took over her body. She screamed and slammed her head against the tree.
"Ok. I'm done". Lauren stood and faced the Succubus. Bo's mouth dropped open as the doctor licked her palm. Never once blinking. She jumped when she felt the Doctor's other hand leave the inside of her tight leather pants.
Bo looked around. She would be embarrassed if anyone had saw Lauren take her right there in the open. She had asked for a kiss which Bo granted, then she pushed the brunette against the tree and fed from her in more places than one.
Lauren laughed as Bo stood stiff in place. She stepped backwards, adjusted her clothes and then washed up in the hot bowls of water that she had requested for their picnic. The doctor had never been shy about making love in public, but Bo seemed shocked at the moment.
"Am I going to eat all of this food alone? Lauren asked over her shoulder. She felt Bo finally move away from the tree and stood waiting for her chance to wash her hands. She thought about all of the other places the Doctor had instantly left her dirty, but they could wait until later that night. She scrubbed pieces of bark from her hands as she watched Lauren take her seat.
She smiled as she walked over and joined her in the opening. She gently bent down and stretched her legs out.
Lauren took some of the food out of the basket and handed Bo a wine glass.
"That was hot Doctor". Bo winked as she poured for them.
"Well it has been awhile." Lauren gently shrugged.
"I am not complaining. But that was so spontaneous of you". Bo sipped her wine looking directly at Lauren.
"We have to take our chances when we have the chance. Or I do". Lauren raised an eyebrow and dropped it.
"That will never happen Lauren. You are here with me forever". Bo replied as she picked at the food to make her first plate.
"Bo…". Lauren started.
"No. You will never die. You cannot. If you ever die, the best parts of me would die too. That cannot ever happen. You can't ever die". Bo reached over and squeezed Lauren's hand.
They held hands and each other's eyes until Lauren finally pulled back. She had never seen that look in Bo's eyes before. A pure mixture of brown and blue at the same time. She was sure her Succubus was silently talking to the Doctor too.
"I love you Lauren. That's forever". Bo reached over and kissed the back of Lauren's hand. She smiled as she released it and turned her attention back on her food.
Cedric had gone beyond her orders and made a spread to feed an entire army. They had everything she asked for and then some. She smiled knowing he was probably making sure the busy Doctor would have enough to eat.
Bo caught herself catching a glimpse of the Doctor. For the first time, she was starting to wonder how a successful woman like Lauren could love a dropout like her.
"I love you too Bo Dennis. Now get out of your head". Lauren said softly. Bo half smiled and nodded.
"I was just wondering why. That's all". Bo took a big bite of food and looked around.
"Because you are you. Bo. Caring. Loving. Beautiful. The list is endless". Lauren smiled as she drank some of her wine to wash down her latest bite of food.
"You didn't say smart". Bo teased.
"Is that what you were thinking about? Not being smart enough for me? Lauren frowned as she set her fork down.
"I'm sorry Lauren. I just wonder about that". Bo stopped too.
"Bo you don't have to have my degrees or my wits for me to love you. For you to deserve me. I love you for who you are. There is nothing you need to do. Nothing you need to buy me to prove it. Right here. Right now. It is more than enough. You had me a long time ago. I would never leave you over that or think less of you for it. Oh, and I think you are really smart". Lauren explained softly.
Bo blushed in embarrassment. She turned serious when she realized she had put a damper on their evening.
"Come on". Lauren reached for Bo's hand and stood up. They walked to the center of the small patch of grass and started to dance.
Bo rested her head on Lauren's shoulder as the Doctor rocked her in her arms as the soft music played in the background. She raised her head when she thought about the food getting cold. She sighed in relief when Cedric appeared out of nowhere and covered everything up for them.
"You are done for the night Cedric". Lauren spoke softly.
"Yes ma'am". He bowed and walked away. Their limo remained behind. The driver was instructed to take them home but to never disturb them.
Bo sighed against Lauren's shoulder. She could fall asleep like this. She could die like this. If dying was possible for her. She pulled back, looked Lauren in her eyes and leaned in and kissed her. It was rough at first and then turned passionate and slow. She held Lauren's head in her hands as she kissed her as hard as she could again. Her tongue was warm in the Doctor's mouth. But she wanted her to feel all of her love. All of her passion. Everything she was able to say with one kiss. When she feared Lauren would lose strength to breathe, she pulled back. She rested her forehead against the Doctor's.
"You need to eat. Come on". Bo gently pulled Lauren back to their blankets.
The women settled back in and Bo watched Lauren eat her food at record speed. She kept a close eye on her in case she choked. The rest of the picnic was happier and delicious. Bo still caught herself looking at Lauren with curiosity about why she loves her but would not let it interfere with their night again.
They finished eating and left the blanket for the servants to clean up. Bo helped Lauren into the limo, and they found more wine and snacks inside. They did not touch the snacks but enjoyed the wine as they were driven home. After a quick shower together, the ladies went to bed with Bo curled up in Lauren's arms.
Keldon and Aife
"My King you look disturbed. Is there something wrong? Aife looked around for whatever could be causing his distress.
"I was just thinking of Bo and Lauren. She was right. Anyone could have gotten to our Doctor and that can't happen". Keldon replied.
"What are you plotting now? Whatever it is count me in? Aife clapped with glee.
"I am thinking about taking the Throne again". Keldon replied.
"What? Are you serious!? Aife smiled.
"I am. There needs to be infinite order and Bo will not ever rest with such unrest among the Fae. She is too young to be so stressed. They both are". Keldon answered.
"That's true. Isabeau is as restless as an ant right now". Aife noted.
"I won't make a definitive answer until I have spoken with the both of them. I am sure Lauren would like to see a less stressed Bo too". Keldon took his seat and Aife sat across from him.
She smiled as she rubbed her hands together. There was about to be a new King in town. One far better than Trick had ever been. This one actually got his hands dirty for the right reasons, family. She could not wait to bow to the man This time it would not be in a mocking gesture. She would actually bow to him. While the Throne should be hers, she would not want that responsibility yet, if ever. Besides this would free up time for her to be a mother
"In the meantime, I will have a new throne constructed. One suitable for a worthy King". Aife quickly stood and curtsied.
"Not until I have spoken with Bo. Doing so without her knowledge would be and look treacherous". Keldon waved off Aife's idea.
"After what you just did with all of those Fae, there is no way she would feel threatened or stepped over". Aife pointed out.
"Maybe so. But I still want her input first and foremost". Keldon rubbed his chin.
"Fine I will arrange a family dinner for the four of us. That's all that needs to know what you are planning". Aife scribbled on some papers nearby.
Keldon nodded, stood and left his granddaughter to her thoughts and plans. The Succubus watched him walk away.
He still looked young and was in great shape. His long dark locks rested on his shoulder. If he were not her grandfather, she would probably want him. She laughed at the thought. Some Fae do engage in incest though. Turning serious, she went back to her notes.
Hale and Kenzi
The Siren was on his last nerve with Kenzi. All she did was whine about Bo not being around or not calling her. He knew where Bo was, and it is the last place Kenzi wants to be. Near Lauren.
"I will reach out to Bo, if she doesn't want to hear from you, you will drop it". Hale suggested.
"Good. Bo would never tell me no. She loves me." Kenzi smiled. That was a big boulder taken off of her shoulder.
"Don't get ahead of yourself Kenzi, she may reject me knowing you come with the deal". Hale warned.
"I know. I have known her longer than any of you. She will not say no. Even if she should say no, she will immediately change her mind. She always does when it comes to me". Kenzi turned to him.
Hale shook his head. "This is not that same Bo".
"Deep down she is". Kenzi poked him in his chest.
Hale laughed and shook his head. Kenzi is a piece of work. Work that was not his job. If Bo did not want to see her, the Succubus is going to have to make that blindingly clear to her.
He is going to keep his word about reaching out to Bo. It would relieve a lot of his headaches. The Elders were still on his ass about Keldon. But that is a big bag of worms that he wants no part of.
The old man was making his own waves around the colony. Hale was impressed with most of them, but the Elders were not. Some feel Hale wasted his chance to take the old fool out. But the Siren knows to take down Keldon would bring an insane Aife to the surface and a lot of lives would be lost. He is basically stuck. Stuck between the Elders and Keldon. Stuck between Bo and Kenzi. Stuck wondering if Aife is ever going to make her own waves.
He shook off the thoughts and left to make that all important call to Bo. But he suspected he was going to get her voicemail this early in the morning.
Bo and Lauren
Bo smiled softly and spoke. "Are you going to work today?
Lauren shifted in the bed, as she rose up and looked at the clock. "Not right now".
"Lauren you will be late. You know how you are in the morning. You will forget something and come back and come back and come back for something else". Bo laughed.
"Am I becoming that predictable? Lauren asked over her shoulder.
"After last night, do you really want me to answer that? Bo played with blonde locks.
Lauren sighed hard and thought about it. She had been working since the day the clinic opened. It is the middle of the week and she was already wondering if she could do another 8 hours or more today.
"Eight hours Doctor. We have an agreement". Bo cooed as she kissed Lauren's back.
"Don't start that Bo". Lauren jumped when it tickled.
"You started it last night". Bo whispered as she did it again.
Lauren pulled away from her and rubbed her eyes. It was already later, and she still had not decided if she wants to take the day off and let her staff see how they work without her there. They cannot afford to be sloppy when it comes to treating patients. Some of those patients do not have anything but the clinic.
"No. I will take the day off. It will be good for me to see how my staff responds. If they uphold everything that I stand for. No patient goes untreated or fed". Lauren rolled over on her back. She smiled as Bo leaned in to kiss her.
"Then we need to shower and go downstairs for breakfast". Bo cooed into Lauren's neck.
"What's wrong with breakfast in bed? Lauren asked.
"We would never get out of bed. That's what's wrong with it". Bo laughed as she pulled back.
"Then I will shower first. Alone". Lauren poked Bo as she climbed out of bed.
Bo groaned at her own ignorance. She talked herself right out of another shower with Lauren. She smiled as she slammed her head into the pillow. She sat up and reached for her phone. She saw a voicemail notification and checked her messages. One was from Keldon, the other was from Hale. While they were both predictable, she chose not to return Hale's call just yet.
Keldon takes priority. She was just now getting to know him. She was not going to shun him already. She already knows a little about Hale and plenty about Kenzi. So, they could wait until she sees what her grandfather has summoned her for.
She hopes it is not some sort of Fae retaliation from last night. She was ready to drain all of them, if it came to that. If it comes to that.
But Hale could also want to talk to Bo about Dyson. Something the Succubus is still not interested in. He mated with her. That was his doing. Not hers. But going after people he should not have was all on Bo for not setting him straight properly.
She shook her head and waited her turn to shower. Lauren emerged with wet hair and her perfume was already driving Bo to insanity. The doctor laughed as she had to actually push Bo into the shower. The Succubus in her growled but turned the water on to shower.
Lauren tightened her robe and called her clinic to let them know she would not be in. The few doctors and nurses she talked to sounded nervous, but she gave them her every confidence.
She sighed in relief when she hung up the phone. It is only a day, but it is a day with Bo. It could be the start of her learning how to relax and not obsess over all things work. If she did the right thing with every patient. If they would need her as soon as they got home or wherever they slept.
Bo emerged running a towel through her wet hair and smiled. "Keldon wants to see me this afternoon. Do you want to come with me or stay here?
"I will go with you. He's a patient I will always worry about". Lauren pulled her robe off to dress.
"He's well Lauren. He just wants to talk to me about something that's all sweetie". Bo tried to assure the ever-thinking Doctor.
"I know. I just think it's touching and funny I treated you both not knowing you are related". Lauren smiled as she buttoned up her shirt.
"It's fate". Bo walked over and lightly kissed the doctor before turning back to get dressed.
Lauren smiled and waited for the Succubus to dress. They were bowed to once they reached the first floor and jumped into their breakfast. Bo was happy to have Lauren all to herself for the morning. She dismissed the staff for the day, and they cleaned up their own mess and dishes.
Once everything was clean and they freshened up, they jumped in Lauren's Mustang. It had been sitting for a good long while because Lauren had been driving the other cars or had been driven around.
Bo happily took the passenger seat so the Doctor could drive them to meet Keldon and Aife. She loved the soft breeze on her face as they drove through town. Soon enough they arrived. Bo jumped out to open all doors for Lauren.
The blonde walked in first and was greeted by the old Succubus and Keldon. Aife looked the Doctor over. If anything looked off, Keldon would be highly upset. His affections for Lauren almost matched theirs. But she is important to Bo, so that makes her important to them.
Keldon was far from the Fae/human cannot be in relationships bullshit. Besides Bo is not an ordinary Fae. Bo stood watching them. It touched her deeply to see Lauren so highly regarded by the two people that mean the most to her besides Lauren herself.
"Don't be shy Isabeau. Come and join us". Aife waved her over. The young Succubus smiled and walked to her mother. They hugged and then she hugged Keldon.
"Here Lauren, have a seat". Bo pulled up a chair behind the Doctor.
Lauren took her seat and nodded when she was handed a drink. Bo took her seat right next to Lauren and gestured for Keldon to get on with whatever her called her there for.
"I know how Lauren values her time, so I will be brief. I am taking my Throne back. Last night was proof that this colony is too unstable to stay off of it any longer. Once I am King again, severe order will be restored, and no Fae will pull the stunts that the others pulled last night". Keldon explained.
"He wanted you to know first Isabeau". Aife rubbed her daughter's back.
"I have no objections! Bo smiled wide. This was a huge relief and she seriously welcomed it. The old King had pull she did not have and would take years for her to acquire.
"Lauren? You want to say something? Aife looked to the Doctor.
"I have a few objections. More like requests". Lauren said shyly.
"Don't do that Lauren. You don't have to be shy around here". Bo turned serious noticing the Doctor's discomfort.
"You sure as hell don't". Aife cooed.
"What is it Lauren? You can tell me". Keldon smiled.
"I have a few patients that don't have anywhere to live. If you could help with that, I would appreciate it". Lauren said.
"And without breaking their confidence, of course. Of course, I will help them. Just bring them to me, privately and we will make arrangements, together". Keldon said.
"See Lauren it will be okay". Bo smiled as she squeezed Lauren's hand.
"And what about me? I am homeless" Kenzi said behind them.
The building shook with rage as Keldon turned towards the door. He felt intruded upon. Hale stood behind Kenzi trying to pull her out of there. "I'm sorry Bo".
"No. I will handle her". Bo stood and turned.
