Peace is a lie. There is only Passion.

Through Passion, I gain Strength.

Through Strength, I gain Power.

Through Power, I gain Victory.

Through Victory my chains are Broken.

The Force shall free me.

Chief Researcher Sacerius wandered around impatiently in front of the essence drive soon the new test subjects would arrive. He just had read their values within the Force and was excited feeding them to the essence drive, could half all hyperjumps travels and their pure essence made it so that refuelling their drive a thing of the past, which excited him even more. So, he waited wandered around and made a few calculations passed on the already known values to him. Now his portable holocommunicator began to beep and it was a sound he dreaded as this sound of the holocommunicator meant only one thing people above him, tried to reach him and if he did not answer swiftly, he might meet his end. So, he searched for his holocommunicator, which he fortunately found under a stack of files. He should pay better attention to his stuff especially in such a case, where it might cost him his life one day. He pressed the button to answer the incoming call it flickered and there she stood in front of him, He feared her probably even more than the emperor himself, but she was cold and calculating sometimes he wondered if she wouldn't have been better to be a Jedi, but he pushed this thought far out of his mind fearing she might sense it. Then he would probably still end up death. He bowed, "My Lady," that was the title she wanted to be referred to so he did, calling her my Lord was something she despised above everything else and would scar those who did so for life or kill them if they did it repeatedly, which also might explain why she was a Sith and not a Jedi. "What is it you asked of me?" "I noticed you got new test subjects can you give an estimate, when the project will be finished." "Probably if everything runs well in a few weeks if it runs bad maybe around a month, my Lady." He wondered how she knew such information, but she wasn't the tactical advisor to their emperor just for being pretty, that much was clear to him. "Even a month is faster than I would have expected even if all were to run smoothly, one more thing, Sacerius." "Yes, my Lady." "Just concentrate on the tasks at hand for now, thank you," she grinned and the call ended. Sacerius stood there wondering if she knew his thoughts all the time exactly.

Soon after this call a slight commotion was heard from one of the shuttle bays. Sacerius knew it could only one thing and he was excited and licked his lips in excitement, what he always did if he couldn't hold his excitement inside himself any longer. Since he was young, he had never seen a Jedi in his life, he wanted to know so much about them, he was quite curious, he had seen a few Jedi in his life, but most of them didn't answer his questions at all or were dead inside or had a burning hatred for him inside their ideas. He knew it was probably a bad or even dumb idea to ask these two questions.

Meanwhile on the capital planet deep within the imperial palace to be precise the private chambers of the emperor. A woman with a rather slender figure and shoulder length blonde hair, wearing an outfit in a green colour, which also included a skirt and a pantyhose, could be seen reading notepads looking at map charts and comparing them with something, which could be seen on the screen. Besides her set a man weirdly enough completely dressed in black armour not even revealing his face, although she knew how he looked without a mask or even without anything on. She touched his gloved hand and held it for a while before she said, "You know we are safe here you could remove your armour." "If you insist," he grumbled disappeared for a while and came back later now he wore something more akin to an outfit that one may wear at home it was still armour. She looked him up and down let out a displeased sigh, which she soon gave voice to, "This isn't what I meant either, sometimes I really wonder if you are the emperor of an entire empire or a child." He responded, "Sometimes I really wonder if I'm even the emperor or if I'm just your puppet to do as you please," he grumbled something she couldn't hear quite clearly but it sounded a lot like "Alliance commander, my ass, more like your errand boy, bah." She ignored it got up and just hugged him, looked him deep into eyes and whispered, "You know, I love you," which always got him off guard in such situation and made him sometimes stumble over his own words what she found cute and attractive on him and she knew he was powerful and more of a schemer she could ever accomplish. He now looked back into her eyes and replied, "I love you, too."

Afterwards they went to bed and she held him in her arms at first, he insisted she shouldn't do it, but she argued he always protected her and know he at least should give her comfort of being able to protect him and now they slept like this he in her arms and she always liked this part of the day the most.

Sacerius didn't have anyone whom he was romantically involved with also he considered it a waste of time, time he rather spent researching and unlocking the secrets of the galaxy and then the universe, he knew their emperor had also and insatiable hunger for knowledge. Right now, he was looking at the newly arrived Jedi prisoner it was just two of them in the last batch were more, but they weren't that powerful at all. Since they were still in some kind of coma, he began to measure them, wrote information down in his notepad and studied them closer. He even went as far as opening their eyelids looking into their eyes and studying how the light of his light was reflected in their eyes everything, he found out he wrote meticulously down. He opened their mouths looked at their teeth and counted them, he even took a sample of their salvia and had it tested. The results were average nothing interesting about Jedi salvia he wrote down. He also looked into their nostrils, he realized there was nothing new to see here either, since they looked like ordinary humans. He fumbled within the pockets of his coat and found a syringe he drew some blood as well and had that tested again, the results match those from the researching vessel. He never had seen such pure blood, but something was odd the blood of the dark haired one seemed to be richer and could triple the speed of the essence drive and boost it significantly. He ordered his assistants to draw more blood from the dark haired one. All Sacerius wanted now to do was research this mysterious blood and maybe synthesize it and therefore making it possible that more vessel could be equipped with the essence drive. Without permission directly from high-command he couldn't do anything, but if he explained the circumstances they would surely agree.

So, he went to one of the bigger holocommunicator chambers, this chamber was exclusively reserved to reach high-command immediately. He began to type in his code and soon he could see two people standing in front of him. Grand Moff Verisus and the emperor himself, who wore like also his black armour not showing any emotion, the Grand Moff looked tired, "What is it, Sacerius?" the emperor seemed to almost pierce Sacerius with his gaze. "I'll show you," Sacerius said as he bowed and began to upload the results from todays testing. The diagrams and statistic could be now also seen so the other two saw them now as well. "Ah new Jedi test subjects have arrived, but why are you … ah I see more essence, interesting. So, you want our permission to synthesize this blood and mass manufacture it, yes? How much time until project Typhojem gets delayed than?" "Not at all, if we succeed here, the essence drive can be mass produced and the whole fleet can be equipped with essences drives from the biggest dreadnought to the smallest vessel, my Lord." "Then permission granted and proceed with caution," the emperor said and with a flicker he was gone the Grand Moff did the same and they were gone. "Perfect," Sacerius thought and he began to research the blood, the blood was the same as any others humanoid blood but there was something else as well, on a microscopic level he could see tiny creatures. He isolated on of the creatures and put it somewhere else to figure out, what would happen to it if it wasn't surrounded by blood anymore nothing happened. Now he was curious, he added a drop of his own blood and now something odd happened he thought, there were now two creatures. Now he was perplexed and analysed his own blood, but in his blood those creatures didn't exist at all. He noted his findings down, and turned his gaze to the first creature and the other one, now there were three. This was a really strange phenomenon for him. He turned around and looked frantically for something he finally found it a mini-version of the essence drive, only used for testing purposes. He cautiously poured his own blood mixed with these weird creatures into the mini essence drive. The simulation of the essence drive sprung to live on one of the many screens inside his main lab. Many complex calculation and formulas appeared on the screens, soon Sacerius would know the results and if his idea was viable. Red lights flashed on all the screens he would what he had to do so he turned on the auxiliary cooling systems as well as the internal one didn't seem to be enough. The lights went back to green and were silent once again. After a few hours of waiting the results were ready, Sacerius looked at them and was stunned his blood mixed with those weird creatures would make hyperjumps way faster than ever before, according to his calculations jumping from here the Unknown Regions to the Core would take than less an hour. He already knew how to synthesize blood so he only needed to figure out how to artificially create these creatures. He began to draw one of the creatures and always compared it with the real one to not make any mistakes, then he tried to dissect one of those creatures and it was just gone and nowhere to be seen like it never even ever existed, he now tried another creature same result so he just froze one of the creatures and tried it then, now it worked but was still odd these creatures didn't have insides at all it was just empty. So, as he wondered if he was going insane, he tried to eat the creature, why he wasn't sure himself in the last moment before he would have thrown the creature into his mouth he put it back and tried to find a reason to the why.

He remembered something they already had unlocked the secret to cloning, but this kind of cloning was weird and he didn't like it all it was more Sith magic than logic and reasoning, but now wasn't such a day to argue about something like that with himself anyway. So, he got one of these strongly sealed containers, which contained the potent mix of Sith magic and alchemy mixed and threw one of creatures in and there were now two unfortunately they both disappeared as soon as they appeared. Now he noticed he was and idiot, the creatures already seemed to multiply in blood, so he would have to try the same with synthesized blood. He sealed the container with the cloning magic again and put away and secured it in its place so that now unfortunate accident could happen. He looked at a shelf a lot of things were stored there his fingers moved over the various inscriptions for the items until he found it a sample batch of already created synthesized blood. He grabbed one single vial and poured its contents slowly in an already ready petri dish. Then he added one of the creatures and surely enough it multiplied in the artificially created blood. Once more he used the simulation of the essence drive to figure out the potential of this concoction. It was the same result as before as well with an improvement of 0.0005 percent.

He was quite proud of himself noted down his test and results and saved them within a secured terminal only he knew how to open. He ordered a weird looking machine to do the same as he just did manually and this machine began the fuel production immediately. He left his lab his stomach grumbled slightly, he had to eat still although he didn't enjoy it all, just a waste of time he thought if he would place his mind inside a droid body that would be worries of the past, but there was still his family which wished to do him otherwise, since he was the heir of a major imperial noble family they wanted him to marry, bah he thought his true love was science and knowledge, he hurried to the cantina, at least it was quiet here in this cantina some other cantinas on other levels had music on the whole day, he shuddered just by the thought of it. The food looked bland and boring, which he liked as so the food wouldn't distract him from thinking at all. He ate it, he more likely devoured it the food tasted as it looked, he didn't care, he despised the extravagant food his family would serve waste of resource for the empire he thought and went back to his lab. He gathered his evidence and gave a quick report to high-command, which he always found weird as he was also part of high-command at least he and the Grand Moff had in matters of authority the same rank. So basically, he mostly told the emperor of the process or her, a cold shiver went down his spine, he didn't know which of the two he should fear more her or the emperor himself.
