Okay, so I hope you are enjoying the story so far. I want to say a massive THANK YOU to those who have reviewed, favourited or followed me. It means so much to someone like me you don't understand.
I started writing when I was young, so most of my stories are very old and need re-writing, which I will get around to eventually. Right now, I want to focus on my new fic, and I hope people can tell the difference in my writing since my earlier works.
So as you can imagine, reviews mean a lot to me. It also shows me that people are interested, and I'm not wasting time posting them to my account.
Severus watched as the last of the Order turned up and took their seats. He looked over at Granger and studied her, she looked ill, and if anything, She looked just as bad as she did the first time he had caught a look at her. She looked so pale that the ghosts would have thought she was one of them. He had seen her when she was first brought in by a panicking Harry, who was pleading for him and Poppy to save her life. He shook his head, trying to get the image of the pale woman out of his head. She was so white and still. Had he not seen her breathing slightly, he'd have thought her dead.
"Okay, let's start this meeting. There is a reason I called you all hear. It involves our dear Miss Granger."
"You're not ill, are you?" Molly asked, concerned.
"They haven't found anything," she asked, gripping the jumper she was wearing.
Hermione tried to smile. "I'm fine, Molly."
"As I said, we are here because Miss Granger has received some life-changing news. I am privy to this news and was the one to inform her of the life-changing news. She's had quite the shock, but it was time she knew the truth," he told them calmly.
"Let me guess Harry's head, boy." Ron scoffed.
Albus frowned slightly. "Not at all that pleasure goes to Mr Malfoy-"
"Malfoy! Are you mad?" Ron yelled.
Ronald Weasley, how dare you say such things to the headmaster." Molly scolded her son.
"I am quite in control of my faculties, Mr Weasley. Now I want to ask that you all listen to Miss Granger and me before you ask any questions or interrupt," he told them, not giving them a choice.
"What news do you have for us, Albus," Arthur asked calmly. He honestly didn't know what had gotten into him. He knew it wouldn't be good, and he just knew his son would cause more problems.
"eighteen years ago, September 19th, 1979, a woman, a baby, and a young girl turned up at the gates. I was alerted by a Patronus and went to the gates. I brought the woman and the children to the office, and she begged me for my help hiding her daughter, she was heartbroken over making such a decision, but it was important. Voldemort wanted her and her family dead." he told them.
Hermione watched as people tried to piece together the date. She looked up when Arthur's eyes widened. "Hang on, that's Hermione's birthday." Arthur pointed out
''Right.'' Albus nodded. "It is." he took a deep breath. "The baby, the woman, was trying to protect was our dear Hermione. She is adopted, you see; her parents were mighty people and were part of the Order, although they never came to headquarters. Hermione's mother worked for the Unspeakable while her father was a Hit wizard. Her sister was only five at the time and fussed over the baby. They were very close; the bond between them was powerful."
''Christina,'' Whispered Minerva slowly under her breath and eyes wide as her head turned to Albus. "Christina," she asked him again out loud, this time wanting him to confirm.
Albus nodded. "Her mother, Christina and her father, Alexander, were hunted and was to be wiped out. Voldemort hated them just as much, if not more, than James and Lily. Christina begged me to hide Hermione and do anything to protect her. She didn't think she would live much longer. She had arranged for her other daughter Sophia to live in America with some old friends. They couldn't be together. Their bond was too strong, and Voldemort couldn't be allowed to know they were together. It was safer for them." he looked sad for a moment.
Albus continued, "I agreed, plans were put in Order, letters were written, and I swore I would do all I could to reveal the truth when Voldemort was dead or finished. Two nights after Sophia had been sent to America, their hiding place was attacked. Alexander raced back, knowing his wife was under attack. Sadly, he got there, and a fight broke out. Christina was fighting around six death eaters when she was hit with a cutting curse. Alex managed to take two out in succession but was caught and sadly passed. Christina took out the remaining four before she, too, passed."
Everyone sat in shock, some had heard of the famous name, and others hadn't. Some were shocked to learn that Hermione was adopted and wasn't as muggle-born as they believed.
''Damn,'' George said, shaking his head. ''Were sorry, Hermione,''
"Yeah, at least we know you kicked ass like your birth parents." Fred joked.
"That means Hermione is a pureblood," Minerva said, shocked. "What of Sophia? She was a strong young woman. And why didn't you say anything to her sooner." she accused him, slightly hurt that her prized cub was dealt such a blow.
Albus held his hand up. "I couldn't tell her because I didn't believe Voldemort was dead. And I wasn't willing to risk Hermione's life. Nor would I break my oath and promise to Christina and Alexander. They were wonderful people who gave their lives for the cause." he told her before sighing.
"There's more, isn't there," Minerva asked again.
Albus nodded. "Hermione's sister Sophia Kensington grew up and attended Ilvermorny. She graduated, followed in her mother's footsteps, became unspeakable, and helped out the Order. she also kept in touch with me. She knew the truth, and I kept her up to date on Hermione. She knew everything right up to the current time and the final battle. She knew everything until two days ago when an Owl delivered me a letter from her lawyer."
"Why would she need a lawyer exactly," Severus asked, puzzled. He was still shocked to know that his soon-to-be student was an O'Donnell. He knew that they were a powerful family and decedents of Merlin.
Albus held his hand up. "Before we go any further, Hermione, would you be a dear."
Hermione looked at everyone carefully before she raised her voice "Draco." she called softly. She heard him call back two minutes and sat back and waited.
Everyone looked up when Draco Malfoy came from the partition that they hadn't registered due to their shock at the news and saw him with two children. They all watched as the little ones ran over to Hermione and climbed onto her lap, one on each knee.
''Mione.'' Fred began. But was interrupted by the woman herself.
"Albus called me. My sister's lawyer wanted to know if I would take custody of the twins. She had made a will and left me in charge apart from what the twins will receive and has left me custody of them since there are no living relatives alive." she told them. Looking around carefully, she noticed they all looked stunned. Snape and Minerva's faces were pale. "These are my niece and nephew," Hermione told them and prepared herself to introduce them but was cut off.
"I'm Seren Sky."
"I'm Hunter Artemis," he said proudly.
"We're four." he held up four fingers and settled back into his aunt's arms.
Fred and George noticed Ron's face getting redder as time went on and was worried about what would happen. "Well then, lady Seren and Sir Hunter, would you like to join us twins for a little fun," George grinned.
"Do you like pranks? It would be so cool two have more twins like us." Fred added.
Hermione smiled gratefully at the twins. Thank you. she mouthed. "Do you want to go with Fred and George? They're funny and are like brothers to me. Just don't do anything too wild, okay."
Seren grinned. "I love pranks. We pranked our babysitter."
''She cried.'' followed Hunter.
''Then ran away'' smirked Seren.
''Mummy wasn't happy,'' Hunter said, bored, shaking his head.
"We got in trouble." Seren trailed off.
Everyone was amused and also dreading the thought of the two sets of twins causing mischief, especially Minerva.
''Go on then, you can go,.'' she told them ''Boys DO not corrupt them.'' she warned them.
"Ask me no questions," Fred sang.
"I'll tell you no lies." George chimed.
Hermione felt frustration deep in her gut for what trouble the twins were going to get her Neice and nephew into. "Fine, just try not to be too bad." she watched as the twins walked off with the other twins, and she shook her head to prepare herself for the battle that was sure to come. She saw Ron slightly getting redder and redder as time went on, but when Draco sat down, she could see it was only a matter of minutes till he blew.
Hermione sighed. "My sister was being hunted and chased apparently from what Albus tells me, she was constantly moving, but two nights ago they caught up to her, they killed her, and the Tw—twins saw their mother killed in In front of them, but before they could get the kids as they ran to hide the Aurors turned up, and the men fled," she told them quickly.
''But'' someone went to speak but stopped when they saw Hermione continue.
Hermione closed her eyes. "The twins saw it happen and therefore are in danger, I do not know what they were hunting my sister for, and I don't know why they want her and the twins dead. I don't think their Death Eaters, but who knows," she told them, opening her eyes again now that she had gained some control.
Albus continued, "Hermione has yet to ask the twins if they heard anything or what happened. As you can imagine, this has been quite a shock to her, not only learning of her heritage but becoming an instant guardian and, for all intent and purposes, a full-time mother."
Kinglsey nodded. "Albus alerted me, and it was decided Hermione could continue at Hogwarts, she could keep the children with her, and we would do all we could to help and support her."
Albus nodded. "The twins are in danger, and by default, so is Hermione. As we all know, there is no way she will let anything or anyone harm those children." He looked around. "I must call on the order for some help in solving this mystery and to help me keep Hermione safe, as she will focus on the twins."
Harry spoke up, "Mione told me earlier, before the meeting, as well as Remus and Tonks, Mal-Draco already knew and was there to support her and the twins. We agree one hundred per cent to protect her and the twins. I will do all I can personally as she is my sister, which makes me their uncle and means that, like their aunt, they too are Potters." He shocked everyone, even the headmaster.
"Potters." Harry grinned. "Mione and I blood-adopted each other using sibling adoption. She is a Potter and my legal sister. She is my next of kin and heir to the Black fortune as Sirius left everything to me and some to Mione." he told them, happy he was proud he made her his sister.
"We did it in the fourth year. Sirius helped us with the goblins. They kept Sirius secret as they didn't like the ministry. Sirius's issue is a wizard affair, and they won't get involved." he finished with a smirk.
"That means your Potter-Black and the twins are heirs apparent until you have children to both the Black and Potter lines." Tonks smiled before turning to the witch in question. "Wicked, Welcome to the family, Mione. I always knew you were meant to be my sister," she told her, winking.
Hermione smiled, but before she could speak, the explosion they had waited on happened.
"YOU ARE A PUREBLOOD!" Ron yelled. "AND HOW THE HELL DOES THE FERRET KNOW BEFORE ME!" he bellowed, and all hell broke loose.
