Chapter 12: Bowling and Dinner
The next day, we all went to Arsenal Lanes in Lawrenceville to bowl while jamming out to NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Kate Bush, and Lizzo. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. "Oh boy, more exercise!" Carly happily stated. "There was also a bowling alley right next to the yoga studio that we went to as well, Carly," Mr. Benson stated. "I know exactly what bowling alley you are talking about," Spencer agreed. "A bowling party would have also been a great idea for a birthday party rather than at the Brackenridge Heights Country Club," Alex stated. "Hopefully, you will be able to bowl without bumpers one day," Justin stated. "You could get strikes, spares, maybe even turkeys," Max encouraged. "I don't want to rush my bowling skills," Alex stated. My team ended up bowling only 2 games because our scores were spectacular. "Does anyone think that I am a good bowler?" James asked. "Of course you are, James," Henri replied. "If only Sybil and I got back together again and she would see that I was a good bowler," James continued. "My score was the highest of my team," Sarah happily stated. "Congratulations!" James exclaimed. "I bet getting a strike or spare is not nearly as important as getting a good and decent school picture," I pointed out. "Well, we always try to look good, even when we bowl, Angel," Sarah told me. "What I am saying is that a nice school picture is way more important than a nice bowling score." "Yes, of course, it is, Angel," Sarah agreed with me. Then, we ate dinner at Industry Public House across the street before heading home for the day. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
