Hello again! Back with a new chapter!

Since it has been a while since I watched this arc I decided that I won't really follow the story carefully so there will be some different parts but the main parts will be roughly the same.

Previously

Although this journey to Alabasta was strictly business. Ria hoped that she and Ace would have a little bit of fun.

"I-is he still alive?!" The chef yelled when Ace face planted into his soup.

Not the fun she was hoping for but it was a start.

Now

One thing that Ria learned the hard way about Ace was that he was narcoleptic. Unfortunately there were many times that she had to carry his heavy ass out of difficult situations that his narcolepsy put them in. Ria was just happy that this wasn't one of those times.

"Yes he's fine. He has narcolepsy and could wake up at any-" Ace shot back up in confusion but then continued to eat his food.

"-minute."

The chef looked confused and quickly left them alone. There they go scaring another person off.

From the corner of her eye, Ria saw someone she wished she didn't. The person noticed her gaze and made his way next to Ace and her.

"Fancy seeing you guys here."

"Wish I didn't have to see you." Ria sneered. Ria really did not like Smoker or any marine as a matter of fact. Although she knows that there are good marines out there, she didn't see Smoker as one of them.

"Now Ria, is that any way to talk to our old friend?" Ace joked as he continued to eat his food.

Smoker just smirked and said, "You know, I'm looking for another pirate and I'd rather not have to catch you two."

"You could just look the other way." Ace stopped what he was eating to say.

"You know I can't do that."

The glare that the two were giving each other was enough to freeze the whole room. Ria knew that if they wanted to get out of this they would have to fight. Just when she was about to use her devil fruit powers, something slammed into both Smoker and Ace which sent them flying into a wall. Ria blinked in disbelief. In their place was a boy about the same age as her with a red shirt and straw hat.

"Hey old guy! Gimmie food! As much meat as you can!" The mysterious boy yelled.

The chef looked nervous but ran off to get him food. Soon others crowded around the boy and they began to ask him questions about if he knew who he sent flying and how he should hurry and run. He just responded that he didn't care and would finish his food. What a weird boy.

Ria let out a big laugh that left her clutching her sides. The boy stopped what he was eating for a split second and looked at her curiously.

"Yeah, keep on laughing Ria." Ace grumbled as he walked through the holes in the wall. His face lit up and he yelled "HEY LUFF-", but Smoker smashed his face into the floor and he screamed 'Straw Hat'.

Ria was surprised that the boy was a pirate. Well since Smoker knew him and the reaction, he must be a pirate right?

"I found you Straw Hat!"

The boy continued to eat his food but then suddenly spit it out and it landed all on Smokers face. That ignited Ria's laughter once again.

"Hold on a minute!" Straw Hat ushered Smoker to stop before he took all of the remaining food and rushed off. "Hey get back here!"

Smoker ran after him and soon Ace was up and running after them. "Wait up!"

Since Ace was up and running after them Ria got up and ran after him.

Why did Ace have to be so random? Not only that but who is the pirate that he was running after? Maybe a friend?

Ria didn't have much time to think because soon the whole marines were on their tail. She knew that her life wouldn't be the same and marines would be chasing her but couldn't she have ONE day where she didn't have to run for her life?

"Damn you Ace!"

Ace laughed and pulled her along into an alleyway to hide from the marines. In that same alley they bumped into that Straw Hat pirate.

"Oh Ace!"

"Luffy!"

The two went in for what looked like an embrace but it was really an arm wrestling match.

What the heck? Where did the barrel come from?

The two put their all into trying to beat the other but in the end, the barrel broke.

"I guess we're evenly matched." Ace snickered.

Ria coughed to remind Ace that she was still there.

"Oh right! Ria, this is my younger brother Luffy and Luffy, this is my best friend Ria."

Ah so this is the brother? Funny how I met him so soon.

"It's nice to meet you Luffy." Ria said.

"Yeah it's nice to meet you too!" Luffy smiled a wide smile that proved to Ria that he and Ace were brothers.

As fun as it was to meet Ace's brother, Ria knew that they had to run before the marines caught them.

"Here they are!"

Too late.

Ace grabbed Ria and yelled "Let's run!"

"You guys should join me on my ship!" Luffy yelled while we were running from the marines. "It's just at the dock."

Ria smiled in excitement. She finally gets to see how this brother of Ace's actually is. With her lost in thought she didn't notice that they were surrounded by the marines. And those same marines were pointing their guns at them.

Slight irritation ran through Ria's body as she heard Ace laugh. She knew that he would probably get them out of the situation with his fire fist but she had preferred if they weren't in this situation in the first place.

"Fire….FIST!"

Now she felt somewhat remorseful for the marines since she knew that they had no chance against Ace. She said a little prayer for those who looked burnt alive.

Rather them than us.

Ria yelped as Ace grabbed her waist and used his fire to propel them onto Luffy's ship.

"Made it just in time. LUFFY!" Ace yelled and threw his arms around his brother. Luffy gave him the same amount of enthusiasm with his hug and laugh.

Looking around, Ria could see Luffy's crew staring back at them. There was an orange-haired girl with impressive…..legs, a long nosed man, a green haired swordsman, a talking….racoon, a blue haired girl and a blonde haired man who was coming her way fast.

"And who is this beautiful goddess?!" The weird man asked as he bent down on one knee and grabbed her hand.

Ria was four seconds from beating his ass when Luffy interrupted with, "Oh that's Ria!"

"Wait….I think I've seen you before…AH! YOU'RE BLACK DEATH!" The orange-haired girl yelled.

The rest of the crew stared at her in surprise and the long nosed one even looked like he would piss his pants. Although due to her reputation, she could understand why they seemed so afraid. At just the young age of 17 she had a bounty of 2.5 million berries. Let's just say she may or may not have sunk a navy admiral's ship and destroyed a navy base. That's a story for another time.

"Oh so you know of me, nice to meet you all."

Ace just smirked at Ria's answer and also said greetings to the crew. Knowing Ace, they would be traveling with Luffy for a while. Not that she minded. Luffy was becoming a rather interesting person.

After all of the pleasantries and learning of everyone's names, Ria decided to explore the ship. It was a cute little ship with a sheep head as the figurehead. The kitchen was small but she could tell that it was well taken care of. She also found the mens and womens room or rather Nami and Vivi's room since they seemed to be the only girls who were on the ship before she showed up. It was a lot nicer than the mens room since there were less people to share it with. Poor Ace.

"Hey Ria! Come here for a second!"

Ria sighed in annoyance at her best friend. She didn't get to explore as much as she wanted to but she knew she could try again later. She went up the stairs to see Ace and Zoro talking amongst themselves and of course Luffy with Usopp getting yelled at by Sanji for washing dishes in a mop bucket. She may not have been on board for long but she could already tell they were troublemakers.

"What?" Ria responded as she made her way to Ace. He smiled proudly and Zoro just scoffed at his arrogance.

"Zoro here says that he can lift 500 lbs with one hand but I told him you can lift more with one hand."

There he goes again bragging to people about my strength. Yes Ria was known by the whitebeard pirates to be very strong but that was putting it lightly. She could easily beat most of the men on the crew at armwrestling or strength training. It wasn't due to her devil fruit powers but her will to train. Ria enjoyed working out and she did not want to be a weakness to pops so she strived to get stronger. She did not want to be that helpless little girl she once was on that island so long ago. If she wanted to, she could break a marine ship in half with a light punch.

"A weak looking girl like her couldn't even lift 30 lbs above her head."

She wondered if she could break a head with her finger and was dying to try it out on this moss head.

"Bring me 1000 lbs instead." Ria said with a smile of annoyance on her face.

Zoro smirked in disbelief but added weights to his bar until it was 1000 lbs. He looked like he was struggling a bit to move the weight closer to her but he managed to place it right in front of her. She glanced at Ace who was hiding his smirk underneath his tipped hat. Ria was going to kick his blubbering ass when she was done.

"If you can do this with one hand, I'll give you all of my booze. And if you can't, then give me your sword."

Shit, he noticed.

Ria had a special sword that she happened to find on her many adventures with the whitebeard pirates. It worked really well with her devil fruit powers too. Since she was wearing a cloak to hide her identity she figured that she would need to hide the sword as well since it was her signature item. She should have known it was useless to hide a sword from a swordsman.

"I guess that means I can't lose. Make sure you give me every last drop ok?" Ria mocked.

She placed her hand on the weights and quickly lifted it up above her head. To add salt to the injury, she pushed the weights up further with only two fingers. It was worth it to see the look of surprise on Zoro's face. Even the rest of the crew gathered around to see and they were also shocked.

"Wow! She's strong and beautiful!" Sanji swooned.

Ria put the weights down and said, "I'll be taking my booze now."

She walked off leaving a surprised Zoro and a laughing Ace. Luffy, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper joined in with Ace and soon she heard Zoro yelling and chasing them all around the deck with his swords.

"You're amazing, Ria." Vivi said.

"You're not too bad yourself, princess."

Vivi looked taken aback by what Ria said. Ria could even say that all the color left her face as soon as she heard the word 'princess'.

"H-how…"

"It would be bad manners if I didn't know the faces of the royals who rule the islands I end up on." Ria shrugged. "You can stop glaring at me Nami, I'm not planning on doing anything to harm Vivi."

Behind Vivi, Nami visibly relaxed her shoulders. Ria is a friend of Luffy's brother but that doesn't mean she's trustworthy. Nami decided that she would keep her eye on Ria for the remainder of the time they were together.

"Sorry. You said it so suddenly that I thought you were here to silence Vivi." Nami said.

Ria could tell that Nami wasn't completely convinced that she was not going to harm Vivi but she was sure with time the suspicion would fade.

"I think we made it to the desert." Usopp announced with sweat dripping down his face.

Now that I think about it, it does feel hot.

"Come on Nami, Ria, we need to dress appropriately so that we don't get sunburnt in the desert."

After Vivi explained to us and Sanji, who was sad about Nami and Vivi covering up, it was time to get off of the ship.

They were about to make their way to enter the desert when a group of sea lion looking creatures stopped in front of us.

"Oh they look weak. Don't worry guys I got this!" Usopp said with some pride. He raised his fist to strike one of the animals but was quickly defeated.

"I should've said something soon but those are Kung-Fu Dugongs. They may look cute but they know Kung-Fu." Vivi said. "But you should know that when you defeat one-"

Vivi gets cut off by Luffy defeating a dugong.

"-they all become your pupils."

All of the Dugongs started to follow Luffy around and he even started to teach them some fighting moves. Ria laughed at Luffy's silliness.

"Come on my students, let's go!"

"They can't cross the desert, Luffy."Vivi explained.

Ria was a bit sad at that since she thought the Dugongs were cute and she would have loved to journey with them through the desert. Plus she wanted to spar with one of them because it looked like fun.

Chopper brought up the idea of leaving food behind so that the Dugongs could stay there. It was a good plan much to Sanji's annoyance about lowering the food supply. Now with that out of the way they could finally venture out into the desert.

Some time later

Oh how she wished she hadn't entered this stupid desert in the first place.

I wonder what will happen in the desert. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
