It was on his second day of work when things started to get hard for Michael, Circus Baby seemed to have it out for while the rest of the animatronics seemed either neutral or in Foxy's case inquisitive. They, thankfully, weren't too hard on him when he had to cross their stage room, although that didn't stop him from dreading the nights ahead of him every time he pressed the down button on the elevator. This leads him to his current situation of listening to the Hand Unit's instructions telling him to do something that might just end up with him killed. He was to find a way to put all of the animatronics in a giant party room that was in the back of the building for some really important birthday party the next day. Michael shook his head and prepared himself for his impending death, he crawled through the vents that led him to the room overlooking Circus Baby's gallery. Once again shaking his head he took a deep breath and steeled his nerves before speaking, "Circus Baby, I know that you don't like me for some reason but I would appreciate it if you didn't kill me when I do this." He prayed hoping that she would comply with his wishes, as he moved towards the vent that opened up into her room and crawled through, entering the room he was met by the small animatronics called Bidybab waiting for him, they gestured to the center of the stage as if leading him to his doom. Sighing, he followed their lead as one of them started walking in front of him, the other one walking behind him, presumably to keep him from turning back. His footsteps echoed through the otherwise silent room, he soon reached the dark stage, where presumably Circus Baby was waiting for him.
"Hello?" he called out as he stepped onto the stage, jumping backward as Circus Baby appeared in front of him.
"O-oh, I didn't see you there," he said, placing a hand to his chest in a futile attempt to calm his racing heart. It was in this moment of delirium that he swore he heard a familiar childish voice call out his name, his head snapped backward in an attempt to catch the owner of this voice only to sigh when he realized it was another hallucination.
"You seem to be distracted Night Guard, that's a very dangerous thing." Circus Baby said as she moved closer to him, sounding, if she were human he would call it predatory like but as she was an animatronic he called it, bloodthirsty. His attention snapped back to her as she took another step forward and then stopped, "I will allow you to transport me to the main hall without an attempt on your life if you do something for me." she spoke, making him sigh in relief and the mentally groan because 'Of course there's a catch.' he found himself nodding despite not knowing what it was she wanted from him.
"Good, I need you to fix something for me, you see that right there?" she asked pointing to a pile of metal and wires standing in the corner, "Yes? Alright, I need you to fix him for me, you see he is very dear and is quite broken." He nodded his head and agreed despite knowing that this would most likely backfire later on.
As he walked over to the broken animatronic the more he could see just how screwed he was, the animatronic was largely made up of wires and broken gears, the only decisively animatronic thing about him was the face mask and party hat, sighing he sealed his fate as he took another step forward stopping right in front of the broken creation. The animatronic looked at him before heading to the direction of the Parts & Service Room, with Michael right behind him, the two of them entered the room where Michael got to work, attempting to fix the broken animatronic. It took him a total of four hours to fix him, over half of his shift, leaving him with 1 hours and 35 minutes to get Circus Baby into place for the upcoming party, with that thought in mind he quickly powered on the unidentified animatronic, waiting until he was fully aware Micheal stepped forwards, asking him to move around and to speak, to try some different thing, making sure that his time hadn't been wasted trying to fix him. After about twenty minutes he concluded that everything was in working order so he followed the animatronic, whose name he still hadn't gotten, back to Circus Gallery. Once he arrived in the room he waited until Baby had given her approval on the animatronic before moving forwards, close enough for her to kill him! Once he stood in front of her he came to a stop becoming all so aware of how much larger she was than him, she stared at him for a moment then nodded powering herself off, sighing in relief he moved over to the side of the room where the hand truck was, he carefully lifted her onto it, making sure the she was secured he began his long trek to the party room. It took him ten minutes to get to the room after he carefully placed her in position. He started to head out so he could get to his office, screaming loudly he spun around when a giant metal hand placed itself on his shoulder, coming face to face with Ballora.
"Y-yes Ballora? Is there something you need?" he asked, trying to calm his rapid heartbeat.
"Yes in fact there is something I need from you night guard, what is your name? You look like someone I knew once, long ago." she said, her voice extremely soft, and if she weren't an animatronic he wouldn't have hesitated to say wistful and sad.
"You are a soul?"
"I am, I'm surprised that you can tell." she murmured. "Now please answer my question."
"Oh, sorry, my name is Micheal, Micheal Afton." he said bowing, as was proper when introducing yourself. He was internally debating on whether or not it was a good idea to have told her his name when she gasped, causing him to look up. She had opened one of her eyes with her mouth slightly parted. "Ma' am? Are you ok?" he asked, reaching out to place an arm on her shoulder when she flung her metal body at him, knocking him over quite easily. He laid there dazed and confused as to why he had a sobbing animatronic on top of him. He gently nudged her trying to make sense of the situation.
"Micheal, please, please tell me that you do not jest with me, you are truly Micheal Afton?" she asked, her voice wobbling as much as her voice box would allow. He slowly nodded his head in response.
"Yes, that is me, what connection does my name have to you?" he questioned, his mind going in circles in an attempt to figure out why this mysterious person had reacted like that.
"Do you truly have no recollection of me Micheal?" she asked. He shook his head in response.
"Who are you that I should remember?"
She shook her head, "There is a reason you don't know who I am and I believe that you will come to remember in time." she announced removing herself from his person and back to her position, powering off as he stood, his face a mask of confusion. Shaking his head he continued back on his way to his office, his mind flooded with theories of who she could be. One stood out but he dismissed the idea as preposterous as she hadn't died due to an animatronic.
